  • User creations and authorizations in ECC 6

    Hi,
how to create users and authorizations? is it necessary to give authorization of SAP_NEW  to  new users?
    regards,
    suresh

SAP_NEW automatically assigns relevant authorizations to a user in cases where there have been changes to authorizations brought in by support packages or upgrades.  This enables users to carry out their tasks as before even though there may be additional authorization checks required to perform the same task.  SAP_NEW only allows users to execute functions which are permitted by their assigned roles and/or authorization profiles.
To create users and roles and assign roles to users (or users to roles) you can use transaction codes:
    SU01 - Create / Maintain users
    SU10 - Mass user maintenance
PFCG - Create roles (which themselves can consist of other roles or authorization profiles)
Keep in mind that SAP systems are based on a "Positive Authorization Principle" meaning that a user can only perform a certain task if he is specifically assigned that authorization.

  • Role creation and authorization objects in sap

    Hi
i want to know the full relationship between  creation of roles , authorization objects ,authorizations in web as abap
Please explain the process in detail the use of PFCG and all its options and how to create Z roles

Although, It would be a very long document to explain the query, I have briefed you on the concept. I hope it leads you well.
    - Roles are nothing but a container for authorizations. A role represents a specific part of an employeeu2019s job.
    - The R/3 authorization concept permits the assignment of either general and/or finely detailed user authorizations. These assignments can reach down to transactions, field and field value level.
For e.g. If a user wants to create a PO we can restrict him on:
    u2022     Activity : Create/Change/Display
u2022     Org elements like Company Code, Plant, Purchase Organization etc
    u2022     Document type etc.
    - Authorization objects are grouped in an object class such as Materials Management: Master Data (MM_G). Each Object Class may have several authorization objects and within each object we can have several authorizations (max. up to 99).
    - Fields :The permissible values for the fields constitute the authorization. For e.g. ACTVT (Activity) is a field with permissible values of 01 (Create), 02 (Change) & (03 Display) for the object M_MATE_CHG (Material Master: Batches/Trading Units). Value * for field BEGRU signifies all possible values.
    - An authorization allows you to carry out an R/3 task based on a set of field values in an authorization object. By themselves authorizations do not exist and they only have a meaning inside a profile
    - Authorizations are contained within profiles and these profiles are assigned to users manually or automatically via role assignment. When you assign the field values for all the authorization objects and save system will auto generate a profile name.
    - Authorization check are included in the transactions source code in standard SAP R/3.A user may carry out an action if the authorization check is successful for each field in the object.

  • Regarding client copy and authorizations

    hi,
i had installed SAP BW 3.5 on my system.it is a fresh installation.now the probelm is that iam unable to open the administration workbench screen which is the most important of all the BW  screens available.when i type the relevant tcode , it is saying "screen cannot be opened on 000 client".so i created one more client 070 (by copying client). and when i log on using 070 client , it is saying you are not authorized to use that screen.
any suggestions?had i missed something in the installation?
    regards,
    ravi

    Hi Ravi,
The procedure to delete is as below.
    1.     Log on to the client to be deleted.
    2.     Execute SCC5.
    3.     Check the delete entry from T000.
    4.     Schedule in the ‘background’.
Since you said you have deleted already , may be you have not checked the delete entry fron table T000.
In this case Go to table T000 and delete the entries.
After that create a client as below.
A local client copy copies between clients within the same R/3 System.
Both a local and remote client copy must be initiated from the target client using the following steps:
    1.     To create an entry for the target client in the client maintenance table, choose SCC4
    2.     Log on to the target client as SAP* with the initial password PASS.
    3.     Perform the client copy using  SCCL.
    4.     Select the data to be copied using a profile.
    5.     Assign the source client for Customizing data, application data, and user master records.
    6.     Begin the client copy.
    7.     As copying is a lengthy process, use background processing.
    8.     To ensure data consistency, you may not logon to the target client during a client copy.
    9.     Lock the users in source client.

  • Authorization control on material reservation creation and change (MB21 & M

    Hi Friends
Please help me to find a solution on Authorization control on material reservation creation and change (MB21 & MB23).
    Client looking for a control over end user on those T.Code s but not at T.Code level;
Client looking for control either based on "Storage location" and/or u201CProduct hierarchyu201D.
More specifically, user A and B both can Create/Change MR but user A only can do it for the MR which related to storage location say YY while B authorized for storage location ZZ
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello Partha,
Only available Standard SAP Authorization Objects, related to Reservations, are M_MRES_BWA (Reservations: Movement Type) & M_MRES_WWA (Reservations: Plant) where you can maintain authorizations based on Movement Type & Plant respectively and hence seggested enhancement.
You can use Tcode-SUIM to search for Basis authorization details i.e. Roles defined for specific transaction/authorization object / profiles.
Revert if any further info required.

  • An issue with authentication and authorization on ISE 1.2

    Hi, I'm new to ISE.
I have an issue with authentication and authorization.
I have ISE 1.2 plus patch 6 installed on VMware.
I have built-in Windows XP supplicant and 2960 cisco switch with IOS c2960-lanbasek9-mz.150-2.SE5.bin
    On supplicant I use EAP(PEAP) with EAP-MSCHAP v2.
I created  authentication and authorization rules with Active Directory  as External Identity Source. Also I applied  authorization profile with DACL.I login on Windows XP machine under different Active Directory accounts. Everything works fine (authentication, authorization ), but only for several hours. After several hours passed , authentication and authorization stop working . I can see that ISE trying authenticate and authorize users, but ISE always use only one account for  authentication and authorization . Even if I login under different accounts ISE continue to use only one last account.
I traied to reboot switch and PC,but it didn’t help. Only rebooting of ISE helps. After ISE rebooting, authentication and authorization start to work properly for several hours.
I don’t understand is it a glitch or I misconfigured ISE or switch, supplicant?
What  should I do to resolve this issue?

Yes. Tried that (several times) didn't work.  5 people in my office, all with vers. 6.0.1 couldn't access their gmail accounts.  Kept getting error message that username and password invalid.  Finally solved the issue by using Microsoft Exchange and "m.google.com" as server and domain and that the trick.  Think there is an issue with imap.gmail.com and IOS 6.0.1.  I'm sure the 5 of us suddently experiencing this issue aren't the only ones.  Apple will figure it out.  Thanks.

  • Background job fails for BDC profile creation and role assignment

    Hi Experts,
I have created a BDC Function module for Tcode 'PFCG' for profile creation and role assignment, and called this FM in my zprogram. the problem is that when i run this program in foreground it executes succesfully, but if i schedule it in background it fails throwing error in job log 'Role 'Z...' does not contain any active authorizations'. But i have created one more program to create authorization objects which runs before this zprogram.I have also checked the authorization object in 'RSECADMIN', it reflects active. I dont understand whats happening exactly when it runs background.
Below is the process of job
       1. ZMIS_AUTH_OBJECT_CREATE
           Variant : auth-create
       2. ZMIS_AUTH_ASSIGN_TO_ROLE
           Variant : auth-assign
The problem is in second program, runs in foreground but fails in background.

    Hi Praveen,
Yeah definately, my requirement is that I have to access of some BI reports to certain users, so contract data will be downlaoded from ECC on application server, need to read that file from application server and for the each contract i ahould create a authorization object, role creation and assigning of role to the user and profile generation and activation.
To achieve this i have written two programs

For creating authorization objects, role & profile i have created one dummy auth, dummy role & dummy profile respectively.
i have created dummy objects to copy the roles from dummy object and assign the same to new Auth obj, role & profile.
Let me know what needs to be done. because these both the programs run perfectly in foreground, but fails in background.

  • How to get ADF authentication and authorization working on server

I am having an issue with deployment & ADF authentication and authorization.
From the below testing results, you can see that I am unable to log in when I have deployed my app to my standalone server with both ADF security authentication and authorization turned on. I have included web.xml, jazn-data.xml and the page/server error I am receiving.
When making an attempt to log in I get the following results:
Running Locally with ADF Authentication:                                           Works Fine
Running Locally with ADF Authentication & Authorization:         Works Fine
Deployed to server with ADF Authentication:                                    Works Fine
Deployed to server with ADF Authentication & Authorization:  Doesn’t Work
What I have already tried: Removed all anonymous grants, using the same database credentials as the app user, deploying app twice (on the redeploy not including the login credentials & app policies at the application properties). Various modifications to web.xml e.g. welcomefilelist etc
    JDeveloper Version: 11.1.2.4
    Server Web Logic: 10.3.6
    Server ADF: 11.1.1.16
Page Error when trying to log in:
    Error 401--Unauthorized
From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1:
    10.4.2 401 Unauthorized
The request requires user authentication. The response MUST include a WWW-Authenticate header field (section 14.46) containing a challenge applicable to the requested resource. The client MAY repeat the request with a suitable Authorization header field (section 14.8). If the request already included Authorization credentials, then the 401 response indicates that authorization has been refused for those credentials. If the 401 response contains the same challenge as the prior response, and the user agent has already attempted authentication at least once, then the user SHOULD be presented the entity that was given in the response, since that entity MAY include relevant diagnostic information. HTTP access authentication is explained in section 11.
Server error when trying to log in:

Then you have to check if the user use use to login are defined in the stand alone server. If you server is running in production mode there is no automatic user or role migration. You have to to this by yourself.
Once you have check that the users are present, you have to check if the enterprise roles are mapped to the corresponding application roles.

  • How can I authenticate and authorize with Web Service on ESB ?

    Hello,
I want to authenticate and authorize client with Web Service published
    by HTTP/SOAP BC.
Simply if it is an Web Service as J2EE application, I will use
Basic Authentication with JAX-RPC and Realm.
But I think that Web Service published by HTTP/SOAP BC is not belong
to J2EE Application. Threre is no place to describe security role mapping
    (like web.xml).
JBI 1.0 the section "5.5.1.1.3 Normalized Message Properties" comments
JAAS Subject is given in the NM Properties. Really in this package
    com.sun.jbi.internal.security.*
implements JAAS autentication and authorization (at JaasAuthenticator).
But I can't see how to configure my Service to use this.
How can I authenticate and authorize with Web Service on ESB ?
    I referred to the resources.

I don't assume to use SSL (if It's necessary I will try).

    Hello,
    I read this resource.
    SecurityDesign
    http://www.glassfishwiki.org/jbiwiki/Wiki.jsp?page=SecurityDesign
Then I think [non-ssl and ssl/tls and so on] securing by basic authentication is ongoing feature at this time.
But I can't see well why this page comments 'HTTP over SSL, TLS'.

Does BC support only "SSL server authentication" ?
Doesn't BC support "SSL client authentication" by username/password ?

  • Role Mapper and Authorizer

At one point I posted a forum entry and posted a solution for my entry regarding keeping the app deployments around while recreating/overwriting the domain using WLST offline. Keep App Deployments while recreating the domain in WLST offline
Things seems to work, except that I noticed that the XACML Role Mapper and Authorizer that were created the first time around (when there is no domain folder) are getting replaced by default Role Mapper and Authorizer (on subsequent runs when the domain folder already exists and we overwrite the domain)
Basically the first readDomain is causing this. without reading the domain, I cannot get the app list.
    System.setProperty("com.bea.cie.script.throwException","true")
    appdeps={}
    try:
      readDomain('c:/temp/basicWLSDomain')
      cd('/AppDeployments')
      apps=ls(returnMap='true')
      for app in apps:
      appdeps[app]=ls(app,returnMap='true', returnType='a')
    except:
      pass
    try:
      closeDomain()
    except:
      pass

So I thought I will create the XACML Authorizer and Role Mapper myself instead of letting the default domain creation process do it. but that is resulting in duplicates on the first run (when the domain folder does not exist) and in the subsequent runs (when the domain folder already exists), I see one XACML and one default.

    create('base_domain', 'SecurityConfiguration')
    cd('SecurityConfiguration/base_domain/Realm/myrealm')

    create('XACMLRoleMapper', 'weblogic.security.providers.xacml.authorization.XACMLRoleMapper','RoleMapper')
I am going no where with Oracle Support. I am wondering if anyone ran into this before.

com.oracle.cie.config-wls-schema_10.3.6.0.jar has various SecurityConfiguration XML fragments and the wrong fragment is being used when the domain is recreated.
I am thinking it is a logic issue in domain creation.

  • RFC Sender - Logon User - What Roles and Authorizations?

    Hi,
Scenario: RFC Sender --> XI --> JDBC
What necessary Roles and Authorizations has to be given for Logon User (in Sender RFC Communication Channel).
It has to be moved to production soon. My Client wants to give only Roles and Authorization that are necessary for the Logon User.

  • Speed up Client EXPORT and Client import

    Hi,
how to speed up the client export/import process (from scc8/scc7)?
There is no profile,if we want User master records and the client specific data. then can we over write the client 2times first with user master data and then followed by client specific import.
Main requirement is to Export Production client Specific data and users with authorization as CLIENT EXPORT (finally we can import the requests generated by client export) after importing to DEV server once can use as Quality client.
please give your valuable suggestions in having client export and import to make Quality client in DEV server.
DEV and PRD patch levels are different (remote client copy will fail in RFC system comparison)
request you to give your valuable inputs.
    thanking you in anticipation,
    best regards,
    Raghav

    Hi Chowdary,
This is not a big issue.
You please find the TR list which are not moved PRD.
Goto PRD->STMS_IMPORT find the TR list (which are in white color symbol) not moved to PRD.
Then ask the respective consultant about TRs. Then re-import the TR in QAS. The old configuration will be occured in QAS. The TR which is moved to QAS, Now also it will be in green color only. But just re-import it and get the confirmation form respective consultant. But the user details will not available.
    hope this is useful.
