Clock & Calculator missing?

I notice unlike the iPod Touch there isn't a clock or a calculator built in app on the iPad 3. Was there a reason to exclude these from the iPad and can they be downloaded from somewhere, not necessarily the calculator but I quite like the clock app?

The clock was part of the new iOS - iOS 6. If you update the iPad to iOS 6 - you will get the clock feature. There are many calculators available in the App Store and a bunch of them are free.
Why Apple decided not to include the calculator - could only be answered by Apple.

Billing block "Calculation missing" in sales order

When I save sales order today, i find that billing block - 01 Calculation missing is trigger. I have not found this block before. What is the root cause of this?

Someone has change the configuration to have the billing block automatically in your sales document type. You can check it in the transaction VOV8.
Go in to your sales document type and see the field "Billing Block" under section "Billing". The value should be now "01". That's the reason why you get this billing block automatically in the sales order. If you don't want it to appear, please remove this entry to Blank and then try with a new sales order.

IMac boots up fine - but getting clock, calculator, weather and can't proceed to desktop.

Hi. My iMac, which I've had for 4 years and which got a new hard drive last summer, booted up today normally, but when I click the mouse I see a clock, calculator,and weather and cannot proceed to the visible desktop. There is a box that says "DocX converter," too. Have restarted, disconnected and reconnected mouse, still cannot get to desktop.
Can't quit anything, can't get to any icons, can't connect to net.

Thanks for your suggestions, which didn't hurt, as you said!
Zappling the pram did not solve the problem - destop appears as normal upon startup, but clicking anywhere on screen produces four widgets. Clicking anywhere makes them disappear, reappear, disappear, and so on.
Re: finder - I cannot select anything with the pointer, no matter where I put it, that does not produce or hide the widgets. When I try to force quit via the keys, I see the little window, which in this case has a single program, FINDER, but I cannot select it because any click on any part of the screen either produces or hides widgets.
Silly problem! But one that has kept me from using my iMac for 4 days now.
I think it is time for *sigh* a visit to the Apple store, and a few hundred dollars out the door. But hopefully not!
If you have any more suggestions, I'm open in the meantime.

Alarm Clock, Calculator icon, etc.

I was having problems with my Treo 650, so the Sprint service center did a hard reset. Now I am missing all kinds of icons on my phone. How do I get them back. For example, I don't have my alarm clock icon and my calculator icon. They have ordered a replacement phone, but I need the alarm clock and calculator now. Thanks.

I didn't notice that it said "System". I guess it always said "All", so I never noticed the other selections.
I have had my Treo 650 for over 4 years. I took it in because my text messaging isn't working, and they did a hard reset. They have ordered a new phone for me, because they can't fix it.

Reinstalled from Nokia Suite, still clock missing - any solution.

Depress your home screen and wait for the 'Edit' menu to appear, tap an empty widget box (Plus sign) to open your widget catalogue, scroll down to the bottom of the catalogue and select a widget called Time and Profile, this should do it...... Unless if it's missing from the catalogue itself.

Dock looks screwy, clock is missing and LMB not working on desktop

This seems to touch on several parts of the os at once:
I maintain two iMacs in a retail environment - the accounts are managed and the users can only access some basic functions of the OS plus our POS software. They can't install apps or adjust settings so there's little they can do theoretically. All software is either in the OS or is made for 10.6 (MS Office on one machine, Salon Transcripts on both)
I first had this problem on one iMac that had 10.5 (the rest were on 10.4) and out of frustration, I upgraded both machines to 10.6 and now the problem happens on both.
1. Left clicks don't work in dock (3 button mouse. hover works, right mouse button works) or on desktop icons. Can't launch new apps but can cmd tab to active apps. Once in an app, LMB clicks works fine.
2. An open app might leave a copy of itself on the desktop (like a buffer not refreshing) except that I can launch the app over that image and the image will remain. It's very confusing to the users who don't know how to tell the difference.
3. The dock looses it's background graphic. The dock's mirror effect ends up mirroring everything in the lower part of the screen - apps, desktop, dock icons, etc. so the bottom inch of the screen is just a mirror of the inch of screen just above it.
4. The top bar clock and all icons on the right half of the bar are missing.
A reboot fixes all of the above for a short while and the problems return. This is really frustrating and debilitating during retail hours. Suggestions or fixes are welcome.
hardware: both are iMac 17" core 2 duo MA590LL/A, 1Gb ram, 160GB drives that are mostly unused.

Unlike SideStepSociety, I've never +wiped an HD and reinstalled from scratch+, finding it to be total waste of time. I've beta-tested every OS upgrade from Panther through Snow Leopard and always just upgrade them, ensuring that I have tested bootable backups/clones to revert back to. The only time I install the OS onto an empty volume is to test that the setup assistant does its magic by migrating from the previously good OS. Once I ensure that the procedure works, I wipe the HD, put a clone onto it, and upgrade it.
As for your query, if the original is mucked up, so will be the backup/clone. I use Carbon Copy Cloner instead of SuperDuper!, but both are viable.

HP Prime Virtual Calculator missing mfc120u.dll error since upgrade to version 1.21.8151.102

The HP Prime virtual calculator will not start since the most recent update (version 1.21.8151.102). A windows system error popup window comes up when attempting to start the virt calc saying "The program can't start because mfc120u.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem." Needless to say "re-installing" did not fix the problem. From searches it appears the specified DLL is associated with debug builds so wondering if the latest version was built incorrectly?? Anyone else having this problem? Any solution from HP? I have had to revert to my "shipped" version which is sub-optimal. There has been no problem so far with my actual HP Prime device since the latest firmware update so phew... but the virtual calc is handy when working on the PC with code. I am running 64bit windows 7 -- all latest updates applied from MS etc. had no problems until this version of the vCalc

One possible scenario: On installation, the 64 bit OS is recognised and the 64 bit version of the redistributable is installed.The emulator is probably a 32 bit version (compatibility, 32 bit programs usually work on 64 bit systems but not vice versa).It looks for the 32 bit version of the redistributable which isn't installed. Note, this is one of many possibilities in todays software world. However, the fact that 32 bit programs require the 32 bit redistributable and 64 bit programs require the 64 bit redistributable is why I suggested to install both versions. This is not only useful for HP's emulators, but many other programs (hence I have so many installed already). Best regards.

HFM 9 Business Rule Calculation missing roll up members

I could use some help with this one.
I have a business rule calculation that is simply copying a value from one account to another account with different C4 values.
HS.Exp "A#CFAdjEBITDA.C4#CFCalc = A#AdjEBITDA" & Tops
I have done this type of calculation dozens of times and it always works. Now, this time it does not.
The account AdjEBITDA is a rollup of two accounts that are also rollups. The answer I get is the value of the first base level child in the first account rollup. I took the class on business rules many years ago and I seem to remember that this was a known issue. However, I of course cannot find any notes I made on the problem. I only remember us talking briefly about it and that there was an easy solution. Which of course, I cannot remember either.
Is any one familiar with this problem or has run into it before?

I have never seen HFM not pick up values from a parent member. It really should work. This requires a little debugging on your part. If you have ever used "WriteToFile" which most applications do, then you can write out the expected value to a file to get more insight as to why this is failing. Here is an example:
nTheNumberIWant = HS.GetCell("A#AdjEBITDA" & Tops & ")"
Call WriteToFile("This the the number I'm trying to get: " & nTheNumberIWant)
The output of the WriteToFile subroutine should be:
This the the number I'm trying to get: 25
If you get a null, such as
This the the number I'm trying to get:
Then you have a problem with the target intersection.
If you don't already have a WriteToFile subroutine in your rules file, you can see an example in the rules of the Comma sample application that ships with HFM.

VE54 Preference calculation Missing Protocoll

Dear Gurus,
When running VE55 Preference calculation only for one material it brings a protocoll saying exactly
which components involved etc.
When running VE54 Preference calculation fior mass materials it brings only a running protocoll.
There is no protocoll saying exactly which components were involved.
According German authoritities it is obligatory to save the protocoll of the preference calculation
And this protocoll should contain exactly which components were involved etc.
Is there any chance to get such a protocoll in VE54 somehow?

I/O Channel Clock is missing scans

hi everybody,
I am using an external channel to clock an analogue data aquisition. However, I have found that when this external channel frequency increases to above a certain level, the channels that are scanned are not scanned at the same frequency but lower. e.g. if the clock channel were 20Hz there would only be 15 samples logged per second (note this is only an example). Could anyone tell me why this is happening?

I can't open clock, calculator, and camera on the lock screen

it happened since i updated to ios 8.
When i slide up on the lock screen, the control center pops up, but when i want to open these 3 apps, it just can't open and the screen turn black but the the assistive touch button still there.. And when i push the home button, it's like closing apps transition. Ahhhh i don't know how to explain that.
And i still can't open these 3 apps after i updated to 8.1.1.
Please help me...

What do you mean by they are not enabling? Did you have restrictions turned on for these apps? Do they appears as greyed out on your screen? Or did they totally disappear?
Have you tried resetting your iPad?
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

You should be able to upgrade it to iPhone OS 3.1.3, if it's a 1st gen iPod touch. This Apple article explains how to upgrade.

You'll need to use the second method, where is says Update your device using iTunes.
Once you have iPhone OS 3.1.3 running on the iPod touch, you should be able to access the App Store and download apps. Some apps will not run, if later versions of "iOS" (such as iOS 4 and 5) are required. The App Store (on the iPod touch) will prevent you from downloading incompatible apps.
It may be easier to download apps using the iTunes Store on your computer, then sync the apps to your iPod touch, because you have a larger screen to view the app's description.

Clock missing on iPhone 3GS

I updated my 3Gs to OS6 and now the Clock is missing. How to I re-install the clock in ordre for me to be abel to set an alarm?

It's a built in app. It can't be deleted. It's there somewhere. Check all the pages and folders (especially the Utilities folder). If you still can't find it, Settings>General>Reset>Reset Homescreen Layout.

Notification Center widgets are missing

I have a late 2010 iMac and a mid 2012 Macbook Air. I have installed Yosemite on both, and while the iMac works like a charm, the Macbook Air is missing the notification center calendar, stocks, clock, calculator, reminders and weather widgets. If I log in with a guest account, they show up, but not if I log in with my regular account. Anyone else experienced this? Any ideas?

I never understood why Apple didn't include these apps for the iPad. While I don't use the Stocks app on a regular basis, it is a quick interface to a small set of stocks. The Weather app is a quick glance into my local weather.
Now, if I want to use Notification center, weather and stocks will not show up like it does on my iPhone. Dear Apple, maybe it's time you help us iPad users!
