Cloning oracle apps R12

hello experts,
i am using metalink doc 406982.1 for cloning procedures. but i would like to know that do i need to shut down database or application tiers while preparing applications for cloning??
it is not asked to shut down any tier while you run adpreclone.pl, that;s why i got confused..
i also faced following error when i tried to update the current snapshot information for complete APPL_TOP
Error: unable to change to current working directory
/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/PROD/out/tempObj
Failed to get the object modules of file"libfnd.a"
AD Administration error:
Failed store Snapshot file info
adusnapMaintainSnapshot() : Error calling adusnapUpdateCurrentView2()

Backing up restart files, if any......Done.
You should check the file
/oracle/PROD/apps/apps_st/appl/admin/PROD/log/adadmin.logany suggestion will be appreciated

Hi,
I'm cloning oracle apps R12. I followed metalink document [ID 406982.1]. while i'm coping the application tier files from source to target system,It is showing error that 27 files are not copied. Tried copying through ftp,external device. But in every task of copying, some files didnt copy. Pls tel me the way so that i can copy the apps tier files completely without missing even the single file.

You can make it tar and can copy it,by the way cant you copy 27 files manualy?In our scenario, we copied through filezilla ftp, the entire VIS folder which is into the u01/oracle path. It takes nearly 12 hours to move the entire VIS folder and finally 27 files has been failed in the queue. again we made a reset and tranfered the 27 files but it failed to reset the queue and i dont know how to find the ftp log.
If we do a manuall copy, it shows an error "symbolic link files cannot be copied".
We also did a tar copy. but we get a error msg as "tar: Error is not recoverable; existing now". We used a command "tar -jc /path/to/your/folder > /path/to/your/backup_file.tar.bz2" to copy as a tar file.

How to delete a project in Oracle apps R12

Hi
OS RHEL 5.5
Database 11.1.0.7
Applications R12
Initially I have created a project in oracle apps from wrong template and modified the template then created a project with the same modified template.
Now the wrong project needs to be deleted so how to delete the project which had been created from wrong template in oracle apps R12 and integrated project with MSP.
Both the wrong and correct projects are referring to the same template.
Please help me to delete the project as it is done in production database.

Font issue in Custom Reports in oracle Apps R12.1.1

Hi Friends,
I am using Oracle Apps R12.1.1. Vision Instance.
i develop custom report (using 10g DS ) and i used Ariel a font and i deployed custom report.it works fine
The same report i opened in report builder and add a new parameter and used the same font Ariel and saved and then deployed but the concuurent report is showing all the columns in symbol(western) font not in arial font.
what could be the issue? the first report shows proper font.Please let me kno the fix

yes i have used template.fmb only , and am using FND_KEY_FLEX.DEFINE as i mentioned earlier ,
i have not given any where clause -- should we give any where clause to retrieve the data into the combinations(LOV)?It depends on what values you want to retrieve.
i mean my requirement is if i give % and press tab all the valid combinations should be displayed.
its showing no entries found.Did you review 420787.1 referenced above?

One Time Password (OTP) on mobile/email required in Oracle Apps R12

Good Day! Hope you all are doing well.
My management needs OTP on mobile/email for log-in into Oracle APPs R12 for some key users in our Organization.
Let me explain the requirement is detail, When user log-in to oracle apps by entering his/her user name and password then system send an email or send sms on mobile for One time password. When user provide this OTP then he is able to log-in to the Oracle Apps.

How to reset TimeZone in oracle apps R12 instance?

Dear
I need to reset TimeZone in Oracle Apps R12 instance. When i ran Oracle Diagnostics,Java system properties report,i found that user.timezone=GMT-03:00.This is the reason showing time on Oracle Application Manager is wrong.
I need to reset to GMT+03:00, how do i reset the timezone?

Yes, the date is set properly at the OS level.
TimeZone values are as follows:

I need to list all users who were granted particular function (suppliers) from oracle apps R12 database. User -->Resp -->Menu --> Submenu/function. I have two queries like the following

But I am not sure how to do it because I have tree-tier architecteur at home :
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Database 11gR2 -- Database tier
One computer with LINUX OS (OEL 5.5) which hold the Oracle Application Server 10g ver 10.2.0 (infra and middle) -- Midel-tier
One computer with XP OS -- Client tier
Could any one explain me how to install it?
