Close to fixing? HELP!!
Help!! I got the dreaded IPod with x's on it's eyes! I followed the online instructions to try to fix it. Here is where I am stuck. Please help!!
IPod Mini 4GB about 2 years old, have ITunes 7.02
I charged it up for a couple hours, then I've forced IPod into disk mode. While in disc mode it says it is updating/don't disconnect. Also, the IPod won't show on my ITunes, it did once and I tried to restore the original settings, except I got a mesage saying other programs were running, but were not. I cannot get the IPod to totally reset. Am I missing something? Am I close to restoring it or am I screwed?? HELP!!!!
I am trying to change the drive letter that has been talked about, but when I get to the Computer management screen, it says Media device, unreadable... so I cannot click on it to change also..

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears

Reminders Notifications in Mountain Lion latest update keeps freezing on my homescreen and won't go away when trying to close. Please help.
I'm using a 2009 Macbook Pro and have installed the lastest update 10.8.1I've been seeing this for some time now and getting quite sick of it. It happens when I've been away at work for the day and come home to find frozen notifications.
You can fix this temporarily by quitting Notification Centre from Activity Monitor but it keeps happening to me every week or so. -
Hi, i'm new using numbers, and when I try to open a excel file don't let me do it, instead appears a box whit a error and close app, any help?
What does the error say?
A couple of thoughts: the file is corrupted or is password-protected. Corruption is more likely to cause Numbers to crash & Numbers cannot open password-protected Excel files. Try using one of the free Office clones & see what happens. -

Try rebooting the iPad by pressing and holding the on/off and home buttons simultaneously until the screen goes blank and you see the apple logo. It should take about 10-15 seconds to reboot. This should clear out whatever is hanging the app.

Cannot Compile CHM -- Message says to close all HTML Help windows
Running TCS 1.3 with latest patches.
Single source project - output to HTML Help (.chm).
When I try to compile, I receive the following message:
"Cannot create compiled file. It may be open in another window. Please close all HTML Help windows and try again."
I don't have any HTML Help windows open. Shutting down RH and restarting does not resolve the problem. I have to shut down the computer, which is a serious hassle, before I can compile again. I do work from a network directory, which may be causing it, but I'd like to know if there is a process I can kill from the Windows Task Manager that would allow me to compile without having to restart my computer. I don't see any process that identifies itself as something I can kill to resolve this issue.

That message normally indicates you have launched the .CHM file that you are trying to create. The first step of the process is to destroy the existing .CHM in preparation for building the new one. Just as you would need to destroy a house on a lot where you wish to build a new one.
If your .CHM is on a network drive, another user may have it open. (yet another good reason for working locally)
If your .CHM is on your local drive, RoboHelp believes you have it open. If you press Alt+Tab, you may see a blue up arrow. That will indicate the running CHM file.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Delete your preview cache, it is a folder whose name ends with Previews.LRDATA

Hello, Whenever I try to download Premier Pro CC I get an error message to close (CEPHtmlEngine, CEPHtmlEngine Helper). However, all my applications are closed except for Creative Cloud.
Terminate the processes in task manager/ activity monitor.

I have downloaded all IP changer Privacy software I have purchased and am trying to install it, and although it is made to work with WindowsME that I am currently using on my computer, it now says it requires Firefox 3 or above to be able to install the software. Therefore, I am trying to update my Firefox to current 3.6 but once Firefox 3.6 downloads it doesn't install. Instead I just keep getting the same error message: Setup has caused an error in SETUP.EXE. Set up will now close. Several times, I have also tried restarting the computer as the error message also recommended But I just still keep getting the same error message when I try to update/install Firefox 3.5. Please help/advise on how I can fix this problem. Many thanks in advance!
Firefox 2.0.0.20 is the last ever version of Firefox for Win98 / SE / ME.
You can get it from here, but you are better off using K-Meleon (derived from Firefox) or Opera instead an old version of Firefox:

You can try KernelEx to get Firefox 3+ to work, but it would be very slow with an old PC of less than 750Mhz. 3.5 and later supposedly doesn't work.

It's the biggest tease ever haha! I can see the photo beautifully merged but then it forces me to close the program! I have tried this a few times and it's always the same. So annoying. I have never had this problem before until I recently updates to CC from CS6. Any thoughts? Do I just simple reinstall the program?
This panorama consists of at least eight single shots which were (in my opinion) not taken
using a tripod by rotating the viewline about a fixed point. They are more or less somewhat
arbitrary shots.
Merging these requires a kind of optimization which can fail because of numerical problems,
though the intermediate result seems to be convincing. A crash log cannot help.
A remedy would be the manual arrangement of the single shots, varying the degree of
overlapping. That was available in older versions of Photoshop (for me in CS2).
Enlarging your example, we can see some hairlines, like edges of torn paper. What's that?

I WAS DELETING ALL MY EMAILS FROM OUTLOOK EXPRESS. Most of the tabs that are highlighted with the arrow pointing to an additional screen have items that are not highlighted s0 are un-usable.
As an example - the Quit mail command is not usable so the mail is continually running - problem is I can't see it - bar is at the top - screensaver fills the rest. -

I can not view ANY videos on Vimeo, I have 'reset' the Ipad, original IOS 5, cleared the history and cookies, I haves changed the DNs number to 8.8.8.8, I have worked on this for 3 days now, HELP!!!!
Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
