Cluster of control references: want to access the control value

I want to be able to save and set control values that are saved (XML). I have my controls on about 5 sub vi's. So I thought it'd be a good idea
to put all the control references in a cluster from the several sub vi's and save and read from one point.
I can get the cluster values (i.e. the references to the controls), but how to proceed from here? If somebody has a better idea it is very welcome.
I have also read Ben's nugget here, but it deals with references to controls in a cluster, not references to a reference of a control in a cluster

I use a GUI Controller in many apps so I can grab refs in sub-VI's.
Here are some screen shots of them in use.
The first "GUI Cnt" is a wrapper around the AE and invokes the action "Set Analysis mode" then another call let me get a cluster of the refs so I can choose based on the name.
This image shows what that action does.
THis is what happens when going into collection mode.

How can I access the Attribute Values from the Search Region

Hi all,
I have a table which contains Company id, department id, and PositonId. For a particular Company and Department there may be multiple records.
I have to pupulate a table which contains the position and other details that comes under a particular Department and Position based on the selection in the Three comboBoxes.
Also I have to populate a select many Shuttle to add new postions and records under a particular Department.
I created a query panel *(Search Region)* for the serch and a table to display the data. That is working fine.
Now the issue is I am using a view criteria to populate the shuttle with two bind variables ie, DepartmentId and CompanyId.
If the serach will return a resuktant set in the table it will also pupulate the correct records, otherwise ie, if the if the serch result is empty the corresponding iterator and the attribute is setting as null.
SO I want to access the attribute values from the Search Region itsef to populate the shuttle.
I don't know how can I access the data from the Search Region.

you could access the parameters entered in search region by the user as follows:
You can get handle to the value entered by the user using queryListener method in af:query.

Accessing the Control/FIFO registers of NI 8422 in DOS

Using the drivers niboot.exe and ni-pnp.exe driver files we are able to access the COM 1-4 ports on the card as these files create mapping of the COM ports and provides the equivalent base address however the base address of the Control Register, Transmitter/Reciever FIFO register are not specified which is necessary to monitor in order to transmitt/recieve data using the DOS and the code in C.
The solution to look for is either look for the memory/base address of the 8422 card or the function in C language which can access the Control Register, Transmitter/Reciever FIFO register of the card.

The base address of the COM port is necessary in order to determine the I/O address of the registers on the 16550 based UART. For example, the address of the Line Control Register for COM port 1 is calculated by adding the Base Address of COM port 1 + Offset 3. The following is a table that gives the offset of each register. You can obtain more information by downloading the datasheet of the UART used by the 8422 at www.exar.com (16C654).

CNiGraph3D: MsgBox "Error accessing the controls custom interface"

When calling CNigraph3D:lot3DSurface(CNiReal64Vector, CNiReal64Vector, CNiReal64Matrix) under W2k I get a message box: "Error accessing the controls custom interface". The same application runs on a different multi-boot machine under Win98, WinNT and W2k. What causes this error? DLL incompatibilities?

this error occurs only for the Graph3D (the application has also a 2D-Graph which works fine).
I think the ActiveX is properly installed, since I can see the graph3D before the data is scanned. The user can rotate the view, zoom in, change the scale,...
Only when the scan is finished an the application wants to plot the data, the message box pops up.
I did not install the controls on the testing machine, since LabVIEW 6 was installed and the controls have been installed. The *.ocx have the same size/version/date as on my dev. machine. LabVIEW has no problems with the graph3D control. (I forgot to mention this in my question, sorry for that).
Are there any differences in installing the controls when used by LabVIEW and by an MS VC++ app usin
g CW-controls?
On another machine is was sufficient to call regsvr32 to the *.ocx and everything worked fine.

How can I have the search results show the entire album (with just the searched for name highlighted)? For instance, I'm wanting to play an album with a particular track on it or I'm searching for albums that include that track. iTunes incorrectly assumes that all I'm after is that one track and then incorrectly displays the album as if there is only one ttrack on it. This is a bonkers default setting. Can I change this?

Click the search magnifying glass and uncheck "Search entire library".
Type in the name of the track.
Click the album of interest to show tracks.
Select the track.
Press the X in the search box to clear the search.
Double click the track you want to start playing first.

All my Windows operating Systems are set to use the UI Culture: German
With Update-Help or Save-Help you can download PowerShell help in different (any) language by use of the –UICulture parameter.
Update-Help –UICulture en-US
Because my Windows OS is set to use the German UI Culture and the Cmdlet Get-Help depends on it, I cannot access PowerShell help in a different Language (English) with Get-Help.
There is still no translated German PowerShell help and even if I have installed the en-US verbose Help files I cannot use it (easily)!
I made a suggestion on Microsoft Connect to add the –UICulture Parameter to the Get-Help Cmdlet, to make it possible to call Help in a different language then the Windows Ui Culture.
As a workaround until then you can use the .NET Class [System.Threading.Thread]::CurrentThread.CurrentUICulture to set the UI Culture and get Help in a different language.

Without an iPhone or iPod Touch to restore the backup to, you cannot access the camera roll photos stored in the iCloud backup. Signing into the account on your computer and enabling photo stream will only allow you to access photo stream photos from the last 30 days, and any shared stream you were subscribed to.

Your question is not clear.
Are you looking for total record count as well as count by department ?

Disabled fields and unselected checkboxes/ radio buttons/ list elements are not tranmitted when a form is submitted. So when you try to getParameter() you'll only get the selected fields or you'll get a null if the field was disabled/ not selected.
When you use this for a set of checkboxes/ radio button, you'll only get the selected ones. If nothing was selected, you'll get null. Work on your logic with this in mind.

In Oracle 9i you cannot remove the DEFAULT, you can only change it to null:
alter table user_ind modify group_allowed varchar2(1) default null
You can check it using this one:
select table_name,column_name,data_default
from user_tab_columns
where table_name = 'USER_IND'

Your ODP.NET code looks correct. What error are you seeing?
One thing that will definitely generate an error is that .NET message boxes require that strings be displayed. ret_value is a parameter object. You need to access its value and convert it to a string. At a minimum, you need to change that.
