CM21 Leveling capacity

Dear gurus,
we need work in the transaction CM01 leveling capacity but the system upgrade the productioin order only after the save and the exit the transaction , are there for see the result leveling whitout exit the transaction CM21 ?
I would like see the result of the leveling ( in the transaction CM01) whitout exit to the transaction CM21.
I would like work in the CM21 and whit the refresh see the result in the transaction CM01, is possible?

  • Enterprise level capacity planning

I am trying to look at capacity planning at an enterprise level and wish to get summarized views of captured data across a number of hosts and instances. I would like to be able to see the tablespace stats for all of our instances in one graph or report, and not have to view each one separately. The OEM capacity planner does not seem to provide any such views and from what I have discovered in the repository it looks as though separate tables are created to hold captured data for each instance eg table space data for prod01 will be in table a, tablespace data for xcpt02 will be in table b.
Has anybody got any ideas on how to use the Capacity Planner for Enterprise Level Capacity Planning?

    Hi,
About packaging : Always deploy your application in ear format using weblogic
(not a single war (WEB module) + single jar (EJB module)) Ref http://edocs.bea.com/wls/docs61/programming/packaging.html#1051556
"WebLogic Server can bypass the intermediate RMI classes because the EJB client
and implementation are in the same JVM." If you have large data exchange between
EJB and WEB you're gonne save a lot process time (including garbage collect process
time to clean RMI object copies). For our application with save up to 7%just
    using ear format for deployment.

  • CM21 Levelling question

    Hi Experts,
When I dispach 3 or 4 orders, some of the orders are getting overlapped. I do not want them to overlap. Are there any options in the strategy so that it will not overlap? I am slecting plan schedule forwards. Please tell me how to fix this.
    Regards,
    Sachin

    Hi,
After dispatching the for capacity, it will not overlapp for the same work center.
Check capacity is marked in control key, scheduling parameter for production order, planned order, in work center capacity header relevant to finite scheduling.
    Please check & revert.

  • CM21 capacity leveling settings

    Hi,
In CM21, is it possible to setup different colors for released  orders and created orders.
    Thanks in advance.

    Dear,
Some settings in Customizing have to made to change the colors of operations or order depending on the status. Create a new object representation that must be entered in a new object representation selection via a modified decision table. Execute the query of the system status or the user status at order header level in the decision table using field AFKO-OBJNR. Field KBED-OBSTA can be used at operation level. The changes result in a new representation profile.
    Proceed as follows:
          1. Analyzing the used profile
                a) Go to the IMG structure for capacity requirements planning. Call your profile of the capacity planning table and note the following settings.
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Capacity planning table -> Define profile for capacity planning table'.
o Display your profile and take note of the following:
              o GraphObjectSele (Diagram section):
              o Repr.profile (Diagram section):
              o Group (Graphics profile):
              o Name (Graphics profile):
An overview of the used settings is displayed when you press the 'Check' pushbutton where you can execute the further analysis easily.
                b) Finding the graphic object type in question
Double-click on the 'Graph.object.select.' area and take the graphic object type in question from the decision table:
                or:
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object type selection'.
o Select your graphical object type selection and choose 'Decision steps'.
o Find out which graphical object type is affected by double-clicking on the relevant table line.
                c) Select the required graphical element type
An overview of the available graphical element types is displayed when you do the following:
In the overview, double-click on the area 'Group, Name' and there on the used graphical element group.
                or:
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Graphics -> Define graphics profile'.
o Mark the line with the corresponding group and name and choose 'Goto -> Details'.
o Note the used graphical element group:
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Graphics -> Define graphical element'.
o Position the cursor on the used graphical element group.
o Here you will find the available graphic element types.
          2. Create a new graphical object representation
                a) Create a new representation profile in the used graphical object type selection based on the used representation profile.
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object type selection'.
o Select your 'GrapObjSele' and choose 'Representation profile - overview'.
o Select your representation profile and choose 'Edit -> Copy as...'.
              o Enter a new name.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Copy all dependent entries.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Save your entries.
o Stay in the overview of the representation profiles.
                b) Define a new object representation selection for the respective graphical object type based on the types used there.
o Select the representation profile created by you and choose 'Representation profile'.
o Note the object representation selection for the required graphical object type:
o Now choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object'.
              o Select the required 'Gr.obj.'
o Call 'Object representation' in the Navigation window.
o Select the 'Object repr.' you have noted before and choose 'Edit -> Copy as...'.
              o Enter a new name.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Copy all dependent entries.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Save your entries.
                c) Define a new object representation based on the object representation to be changed in the required graphical object type.
o Select 'Object representation' in the Navigation window.
o Select the 'Object repr.' to be changed and choose 'Edit -> Copy as...'.
              o Enter a new name.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Copy all dependent entries.
o Press ENTER to confirm your entries.
              o Save your entries.
o Select your newly created 'Object repr.' and choose 'Graphical element type'.
o Select 'New entries' and enter the respective graphic element type (see 1. c).
o Delete the graphic element type to be replaced.
              o Save your entries.
                d) Insert a query for the respective graphic object type in the newly created object representation selection in the decision table so that the new object representation is displayed by the conditions specified through the system status or user status.
o Select 'Object representation' in the Navigation window.
o Select the new object representation selection and choose 'Decision steps' in the Navigation window.
o Insert a line for the query of the status at a suitable position in the sequence 'Decision status, Sequence'. To execute this at order header level, you must specify a status comparison for structure AFKO, field OBJNR for which the new object representation can then be entered. Use field KBED-OBSTA if you want to evaluate the status at operation level.
              o Save your entries.
                e) Enter the new object representation selection in the new representation profile.
o Choose 'Capacity leveling -> Technical settings -> Capacity planning table -> Define graphical object type selection'.
o Select your 'GraObjSele' and choose 'Representation profile - overview'.
o Select the representation profile you have created and choose 'Representation profile'.
o Replace the object representation selection by the newly created selection for the required graphical object type and save it.
                f) Replace the available representation profile by the newly created one in your profile for the capacity planning table.
You can refer the OSS note 71014 for details.

  • Is capacity leveling is in ltp

Is capacity leveling possible in the Long term planning i.e after simulative mrp run.
    Regards,
    Sunil Patil

    Hi Mr.Sunil Patil,
Please check the help given by SAP.
    SAP allows this.
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_470/helpdata/en/92/bf055544bd11d182b40000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
Leveling Capacity in the Planned Order
    Prerequisites
The planned order must be scheduled.
    Procedure
Starting from the Long-term Planning node, choose Long-term planning ® Simulative planned order ® Change.
The system displays the details screen for the planned order. From this screen, you can call up the capacity check, if necessary, by choosing Edit ® Capacity check. The system then checks available capacities. If no overload exists on the work centers in question, the system displays a message stating that no overload exists. If an overload does exist, the system branches to the capacity situation where you can make any necessary changes.
To level capacities, choose Goto  Capacity leveling.
The system displays the dialog box entitled, Settings for Capacity Planning if you have not yet defined any parameters for capacity planning.
Select the appropriate planning type and the period type for capacity planning. If necessary, select a period of examination. Choose Continue.
The system carries out scheduling using the parameters set in Customizing.
If scheduling could not be carried out free of error, the system displays an overview of the scheduling errors based on the planned orders in question. From here, you can access the scheduling log to check the details on the scheduling errors. To do this, choose Log.
    5. Choose Continue. The system displays the evaluation of the capacity situation.
Capacity leveling is also displayed with reference to a work center and a capacity category (for example, machine or person) and the unit of measure is displayed from the work center. Here, the following is valid: If a planning work center (routing header) is entered in the routing the system first displays this work center with the corresponding capacity category. Otherwise, the selection is random. The system also displays the following data:
Order number, order quantity and order finish date
    Available capacity
Total capacity requirements for the selected work center
    Capacity requirements for the material
Capacity requirements of the selected planned order
Capacity loads resulting from the selected planned order are specially indicated.

  • CM27-CAPACITY PLANNING

Im working on a REM environment.
I have a problem in the Capacity Planning
1.Im  using the CM21 for sequencing my planned orders.
2.I have created some individual capacity for one workcentre.
3.When itry to use the CM27 i dont find any planned orders in this levelling capacity planning table.
    Your valuable inputs are required

    Hi Sateesh,
I am unable to understand the reason why capacity planning is being used if REM is being used?
The transactions what you have mentioned is for Production order/Related planned orders.
To my knowledge for REM "MF50" will be used to analyse the load and also assign load to production line. "LAS2" is used for sequencing change.
    Hope this helps..

  • Capactiy Leveling (APO vs R/3)

    Hi,
How is the Capacity Leveling of R/3 is different from APO??? What are the additional enhancements available in APO????
    - Ram.

    Hi Ram,
Apart from santhosh mentioned, the following are the other
    features added into it
    1) Levelling of specific bottleneck resources
    2) Levelling of all types of resource categories
    3) Levelling done at user specific level interactively
    4) Suited to level capacity at large data volumes and very
    complex models
    5) Interactive planning has the advantage that you can
display the resource load directly before and after leveling.

  • Tips for estimating database capacity estimate

    Hi there,
Can anyone help me regarding estimating database capacity? How to set design storage space allocated for each table? I have read basic information regarding it from Oracle help and few forums but unable to understand how to do it? I want to generate a detailed design document stating Block size, PCTUSED, PCTFREE, PCTINCREASE etc. I also want to know how to decide capacity for a table with mulitiple inserts and deletes and for a table with multiple inserts, updates and deletes. How the Number of Users accessing database govern capacity?
Anyone please help me in this.
    thanks,
    Archana

    Hello Justin,
    Thanks for the reply.
Actually I have never worked on Database capacity design or estimates. I do not have much idea about it. My client has provided one design document template which demands for each table level capacity design. It contains following entries:
    BLOCK Size
    Bytes/row
    rows/BLOCK
    Initial No
    Max No
    PCTFREE
    PCTUSED
    IDX Expansion factor
    TableSpace
    Initial Size
    NextSize
    Max EXTENTS
    Partition
    Initial Capacity
    Max Capacity
    Max Physical Capacity
    IDX Initial Layer
    IDX Max Layer
    No of Fields
IDX Initial Layer, IDX Max Layer in the above mentioned list I am not aware of. What is the difference between Max Capacity and Max Physical Capacity?
I think While defining how the extents should increase number of users will come into picture. Is it correct?
I do not understand whether to use locally managed tablespace or not?
Could you please help me out in this?
    thanks,
    Archana

  • Infotype 0008 master data with no salary and no wage types.

I am an abapper so I apologise whole heartedly in advance for what may be a silly question.
I want to use infotype 0008 only to hold master data values. The only fields I want filled are:
    Pay Scale Type,
    Pay Scale Area,
    Pay Scale Group,
    Pay Scale Level,
    Capacity utilization level.
Is it possible to configure infotype 0008 just to enter these values and nothing else. I don't any values in Annual Salary, Wage types, etc.

    Dear Gemini,
You can hide some of the fields if you donu2019t want to display or you can make them Output fields (table name T588M, and select the module pool, MP000800).

  • Same person can create time vent two times

    Hello gurus,
I am new to this forum. When i start booking hours (operation confirmation) with time event CO19 then SAP allows same person to start event on same work centre. From logic SAP should give error message like "same person has allready started event so first he has to finish this event or so.." Where is the settings so that SAP will not allow same person to start event twice on same work centre?
    thanks,
    Swapnil

    Hi
As per the standard sap, system will not check for the availability of the resources means workcenter and for prt
simply system accept load how much you give.
more if you need have the message.
i thing better way is use the planning table. so sytem will give the message like " no capacity already loaded " if you assign the reqmt for the particular workcenter or production line.
or use the capacity leveling / capacity palnning. check the sap document for the configuration.

    Hello,
we are using ZMM with some iPhones. Roling out a policy works fine, but I only get a few informations from the devices

Every iPhone (iPhone 4, 4S, 5 & 5s) with different IOS Versions only show "N/A" in this fields.
We are using ZMM 2.8.2. We started with 2.6.x and I thought that this informations will be available in newer versions. But nothing happened.

  • Routing update in capacity leveling CM21

    Hi Collogues,
We have simple production type. Production order with production versions.
16 production lines (work centers) with different rates.  1 operation per routing.
I want to use in capacity leveling CM21 to dispatch planned/production orders on these 16 lines.
The problem is that when I dispatch a pln/prd order in CM21 on a work center nether routing nor production version gets updated.
    Your suggestion are welcome.

    Solution found.
Set for each production version "Production line".
Then go Mf50 switch to graphical planning table. It updates routing when I move planned order over work centers.
