Color quality after exporting video

I am trying to make a video with all of my photos, and after I export the video, the quality of the images totally gets ruined. The color is not as vibrant and the images are not as clear, I am using the highest mode to export, so I was wondering if there is anything that I can do to improve the quality!

I figured it out. I had to reduce the size of the exported file. It looks a lot better now.

  • Color change after exporting from Lightroom

I noticed a drastic color change after exporting a file from Lightroom to a JPEG file today. I have been using Lightroom for a while, and it never happened before. I am assuming that I changed the setting somehow and I cannot find how to fix it.
    Here is the original.
After exporting to a JPEG. The color is so drastically different. I tried both sRGB and AdobeRGB and they turn out to have the same problem.
It is not as clear as JPEG files, but edited files with Photoshop CS5 also looks slightly different viewed on Lightroom.
I would appreciate it if anyone could help me.  Thank you so much for your help!

Thanks everyone for looking into my problem!
    >Can you upload a sample of each
    >* Raw File
    >* XMP Sidecar
    >* Exported JPEG
I somehow can't find XMP sidecar files in my folders.... So instead, I exported the JPEG file to the 2nd JPEG file, hoping you can compare those two JPEG files.
The colors get lighter and lighter every time I export the files. I uploaded those files (RAW, 1st JPEG, 2nd JPEG) on line. I also changed the file samples from the original post because I can't add watermarks.
I checked my flles, but there is no preset applied to the JPEGs.
I am thinking of unistallng Lightroom and reinstalling it and see what happens.
    Thanks!

  • Poor Video Quality After Export

I used Brightness & Contrast as well as Three-Way Color Corrector to edit. When I export, I lose almost all of the color quality. I have tried QuickTime, H.624, and a number of different Codecs and it always comes out the same. I have pushed the bit rate all the way up as well. I'm not sure what else to do

To better understand, when you saw poor quality, that is compared to what? The original clip?
Are you viewing both on the same monitor? If you remove the effects, does the quality look better?

  • Poor audio quality after exporting to .MOV.

Voiceover in my video sounds crystal clear in the timeline but then thin and "rattley" after export when playing back with Quicktime player. Background music on other tracks always seems to be unaffected. Audio export set to AAC, 48 kHZ, Stereo. I must export to a Quicktime .mov format because it's the only file type that I can upload to YouTube without the color quality being distorted after upload. Adobe Updater says all of my programs are updated.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How did you record the VO? is it a mono or stereo track, how are you viewing the export. Sometimes when just one section of the audio is wrong it is due to audio phase problems, I have not seen this with a vo before but it might be the issue. See:
Re: 1 of 2 audio tracks missing on certain browsers (h.264)

  • Poor quality after exporting

    Hi,
I'm quite new to Premiere Pro and am having problems with the quality of my movie after exporting it. It looks fine within Premiere Pro but once exported it's very shaky and it comes up with red flashes in random places.
When I export the movie, I go to 'Export to Encore' then 'Burn without menus' and select NSTC high quality.
The only thing I can think of is the original source files I am using. My camera only downloads as MOD files which I then convert to MPEG2 files.
I need to screen the video to around a 100 work colleagues at a function on Saturday so any help or suggestions would be most appreciated!!

    > The only thing I can think of is the original source files I am using. My camera only downloads as MOD files which I then convert to MPEG2 files.
Correct. Reshoot with a different camera or use different software, like WMM or PE, or anything that is consumer grade software.

  • Text poor quality after Export

I'm having some pretty poor quality text rendering after export. The video appears fine otherewise. I am exporting to YouTubeSD not HD, though I wouldn't think that would matter. [?]
I'm pretty new to the complexities of film editing. So, I can't answer much about the video source files other than that they are MP4 converted originally from analog files written to DVD. I wouldn't think that would have anything to do with the titles at all since all text created thru PP Title Editor. [?]
Here's a screenshot of settings. Any ideas?

Sorry- I meant to add this is CS5.5
Jeff- I've been using this same font for other projects without problem. This just started happening on this project. Yes, it is a serif font but no problems before. It's always rendered well [Adobe Arabic].
Message was edited by: zech3  APOLOGIES-  when I searched this issue, I didn't see my exact problem and the post below [ http://forums.adobe.com/thread/705407?tstart=0 ] just got resurrected from 2010, it didn't appear in my search... though I'm not sure our issue is identical...
    Here's a better screenshoht:
And some screen shots of titles:
BEFORE text rendering problem. From a project last year, this typeface is skinnier but rendered much better!
AFTER text rendering problem started. This is the current typeface that, even though a heavier typeface, renders horribly!!
I should add that the titles seem to flicker a bit when transitions are applied to the start or end of title clip.

  • Massive Loss Of Quality After Exporting

    Hi guys.
Apologies if this has been covered before, but I didn't feel like looking through pages and pages of threads.
I'm shooting on a Sony HDR-FX1E @1080i, and editing in Final Cut Express HD.
I'm capturing using the "Apple Intermediate Codec 1440x1080i50"
I'm in a PAL country, therefore shooting in PAL.
Now, when my image is in the editor. It looks sharp, and the colours are great. However, then I export using these settings: Quicktime Conversion - Then as Quicktime movie, using the H.264 codec, and restricting to 6500kbp/s (the size that the website i'm uploading to reccomends) then at 1920x1080 HD.
Then when I watch the video back, the quality and colours are severely lacking.
Could someone please tell me where I'm going wrong.
(see picture in Link for comparison. Image on right is in the editor, and image on the left is after exporting.)
    http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4094/49109848704d83f35e0eb.jpg

Okay, so I've looked through the first 10 pages. I've still got another 1,500 to look through.
It probably would have been just as quick and ten times more helpful to reply with what I have to do, rather than a sarcastic, witty comment.
Could anyone else recommend me a forum or somewhere where I can find the information I need?
    Thanks.

  • Decreasing Quality after Export to Encore

Hello friends> Before I pose my question, I want to thank you all. The last 75 days have been an intense period of growth for me, going from ZERO filming and Adobe Premeire / Encore (CS5.5) experience, to where I am now. I'm probably still a beginner, but I've filmed a great instrutional DVD with a solid menu and chapters, and edited it very well. I'm very pleased with the product I have now.
Anyway, I have YOU all to thank. Guys like Harm Millaard and Bill Hunt- I've read so many of your posts as I learned how to use this amazing software.
Until now, I've managed to figure out everything on my own... but now, I come to you with a desparate problem that I cannot solve on my own.
Essentially, the problem is this: The quality of the video on the DVD is much poorer than the quality of the video in Adobe Premeire.
There's an obvious reason for this: I filmed in 1440x1080, and the NTSC format in Encore is of course 720x480. That much makes sense.
So the REAL problem I have is this:
I know my project is NOT HiDef. I don't expect that. But, the quality is lower than it should be. My eyes, for example, are pixelated and have no "sparkle", even when the DVD player window is at the 720x480 size.
I compare this to any given production DVD (non HiDef), like Lord of the Rings. I can maximize the window on a 1080p monitor, and even though it too is 720x480, it STILL looks good. It's not pixelated. When I expand mine to 1080p, it's very pixelated.
This is what I need help with...
I can give you the specifics of the production method and provide screenshots if it would help, but as you know, the dynamic linkfrom Premeire to Encore is pretty simple and doesn't give you a lot of room for error- it's pretty tight. In short, here are some of the things I've tried:
    > I've tried rendering the production into a 720x480 sequence instead of a 1080p sequence. The final product from Encore is the same quality.
    > I bought and used a pretty darn good camera.
    > I bought some really nice lights to use, and really studied 3 point lighting, so I don't think the lighting is the problem. When I look a the raw 1080p files on my computer, they are breathtakingly clear.
Okay friends.... I hope you can help me!
    -V.R.

    Hello guys!
Thank you all so much. The video that showed how to export the footage with the proper setting was very educational.
The problem is, I'm still at square one. I've tried two things, with no increase in quality.
Here are the details: My originals were shot at 1440x1080, at a framerate of 60i.
I didn't realize 60i was only for high motion, otherwise I would have at least done 60p....
Anyway, I followed the man's instructions for exporting 1080 60i footage, and did the following:
    MPEG2-DVD
    Preset: NTSC Widescreen High Quality
    Field Order = Upper
    VBR - 2 Pass
    Use Maximum Render Quality
    Bitrate: Min-2.8mbs, target-7mbs, max-8mbs
    GOP Settings: M frames=3, N frames=15
On an old TV, the DVD doesn't look terrible. And when the window on my computer is at 720x480, it looks "okay". But when I "maximize" the window, it looks very bad. The eyes and face are completely pixelated. I understand I'm more than doubling the size of the video when I maximize on a 1080p monitor, but EVERY other DVD I have ever boght- even janky, no-name 4x4 DVDs filmed with huge shoulder cameras from the 90s, look pretty darn good when "maximized".
Perhaps I'm expecting too much, but I filmed with very high quality, I have a very nice computer, and Adobe has given me the best software. I believe I'm truly in a position to deliver a "market ready" product.
The DVD is only 30 minutes long, so "room" is not a problem. I'm already selling about $400 worth of these DVDs per day, and am about to place a big order with a fulfillment center for $12,000 worth.
Before I do that, I MUST improve the quality... I know a lot of my customers are watching this on their computers, and not on their DVD players with standard def TVs.
Here's a screen shot of the DVD at 720x480 size: http://screencast.com/t/7a91ujCLHkT
Here's the garbage I'm getting when maximized: http://screencast.com/t/XjqyD3cf04UV
I really hope one of you gurus can help me.
    Thank you SO MUCH.
    V.R.

  • Help a Complete Beginner Improve Quality of Exported Videos

Hello all, I'm completely new to Adobe Premiere Pro and I am experiencing lots of difficulty with the quality of my exported videos. My source material is a 720 x 480 .AVI (Note: I intend to export in a format like .WMV or .MOV) that was recorded with a screen recorder called CamStudio. The original material looks incredibly nice in Windows Media Player but the minute I import it into Premiere Pro and export it, it looks awful. Exporting the same video through Windows Movie Maker results in incredibly better quality. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with both the project presets and my export presets. I just don't know the kind of numbers and settings I need to input in order to fix the quality. Could someone be kind enough to break down all the numbers and settings and explain to me what to do? I have looked through several guides but it just doesn't seem to be working out for me. Maybe all I need is a human touch to the advice...thanks in advance.

  • Bad quality after sharing video

The quality of my video is very bad after sharing it (I have saved the project as MPEG2 file)
Especially the darker parts of the video are bad, in the preview screen in adobe premiere elements 7 I can see the faces of all people in these parts, while I can only see very dark faces after sharing. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
    Thanks!
    Jorien

I have a DV camcorder and I used a firewire cable to get it into my computer. In the assets I read DV PAL 25.00 frames/sec , don't know what information I need to give you?
I tried to share it as MPEG2-NTSC standard, and MPEG2-PAL standard.
(I view the shared video on the same computer)
Hope you can help me (sorry, am not really into video editing yet so I don't know so much about it).

  • Animated gif, bad quality after exporting.

    Hi,
    I've done this image:
    http://kpopgames.com/images/widgetv2.gif
It's an animated gif, but I noticed that the quality became bad. Especially in the face of the characters there. How can I fix this?
Here are the individual pictures used in this gif:
    http://www.kpopgames.com/images/widget.jpg
    http://www.kpopgames.com/images/widget1.jpg
    http://www.kpopgames.com/images/widget2.jpg
The third pic looks okay, but the first and second one are really bad..
I've also tried optimizing it and this is the best one I got:
    http://www.kpopgames.com/widgetv2.gif
it's better but it's still bad in quality.

It's actually good quality for a GIF animation. You'll get better results by exporting it in SWF format. SWF handles JPEG's better than GIF format, whch is limited to 256 colors. To export in SWF (Flash) format, choose File > Save As. Choose Adobe Flash. Click on the Options button to set the speed.

  • Photoshop 7.0 - Problem Retaining Original Color Space After Export

I just registered for this forum & would appreciate your input.
I convert Canon RAW files to jpgs & always embed the sRGB color profile & color space in the converted files.. Once I open & edit one of these files in Photoshop 7.0 & save it, the color space is changed to Abobe RGB. I have tried many changes via Edit > Color Settings, but still the same results. I thought that the settings preset "Web Graphics sRGB Color Space" would do the trick - but it doesn't.
If I go to Image > Mode > Convert to Profile & select sRGB for both source space and destination space for an opened jpg file, the sRGB color space is embedded in the saved file - even after reopening in PS, editing, and re-saving. Must I do this for each jpg I edit?
Please educate me how to set PS so all exported files either retain the sRGB color space or have PS embed the sRGB color space upon export.
    Thank you.

This is of course, an issue of permissions so there may be no solution.
Absolutely not. Don't jump to false premature conclusions. As Noel said, it solely depends on detecting a previous install/ verifying the install media. Since the latter is out of the question, the first would be way to go, the point being that it merely looks for the respective registry keys in HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Adobe. Lucky for you, back then nobody cared to encrypt such stuff so it could be hacked in manually. Off hand I'm just not aware of the specific structure for the keys, though, but a little digging might turn up that info. In fact it would be almost identical to the ones for PS 7, which might already linger there just lacking the proper vlaues...

  • Red color clips after export to H.264

    Dear friends,
I am very new to try use Color. I sent seq. from FCP to Color, changed some clips use Color FX, and than back to FCP.
After export seq. from FCP to H.264 for web, some of the clips appeared red.
    Thanks for any answer.
    Libor

Do you mean red render bars or the clips are actually Red? With Color you should avoid H.264 until after any rendering. ProRes or Uncompressed are the best codecs to bounce between Color and FCP.

  • Windows XP Pro Desktop - Screen Resolution and Color Quality - After Palm 6.2 Installation for Palm TX

Recently upgraded my Palm software to 6.2. for my TX.  Now when I sync to Outlook, my windows desktop reverts to lower quality screen resolution (640 x 480 pixels) and lower color quality (8 bit).
I then make the necessary display changes for my windows desktop back to higher quality screen resolution (1280 x 800 pixels) and highest color quality (32 bit).  Everything is fine until I sync again or shut down the computer and restart, causing the windows desktop to revert back to the lower quality screen.
Any thoughts on possible solutions to this annoying problem.
    Thank you
    Post relates to: Palm TX

    Hello!
First thing to do is to update the display driver for your computer.  Also make sure to use 96 DPI for the DPI setting, using another setting can cause this issue too.

  • Audio problem after exporting videos from imovie.

When I export videos I've made in imovie, the audio becomes distorted. Clips that I have silenced, start to play during clips that they don't belong to. Any fixes?

    Hi
How did You Export videos ? To what and into what format ?
    If to iDVD then
    • First I would trash iMovie pref files and iDVDs likevice
    • Then in iMovie - Share to Media Browser and as Large (Not HD or other res.)
    • Then in iDVD from Media button Movies import it.
    • Then test play in iDVD Preview
    • If OK then - Save as a DiskImage
    • Test this with DVD-player tool
    • Still OK
    • Then burn it to DVD either via iDVD or if You don't wat to re-calculate - use Disk Util tool.
(set down burn speed to x4)
