Committed and confirmed quantity in shedule line

Hi,
I have an order in which material was not confirmed on a day when that material was present.
I noticed that the commited quantity was 1 but confirmed qtty was 0 on the shedule line of that day. Later the order confirmed on a later date with both confimed qtty & committed qtty as 1.
Questions
1)Why did the material did not confirm on that day?
2)What is the difference between confirmed and committed qtty?
Regards,

This is Standard SAP.
1)Why did the material did not confirm on that day?
Material was not confirmed for possible reason being:
a. Material not in Stock
b. Material in Stock, but based on number of Lead Days, it is confirming future date.
2)What is the difference between confirmed and committed qtty?
Confirmed Quantity is confirmed on to be available for delivery on a particular Date and particular Quantity.
Commited Quantity is the Commited Quantity in sales Order.

  • How to link Invoice Quantity and Confirmed quantity in schedule line

    Hello,
I'm working for a report in BW. The user want to compare the invoice quantity to the confirmed quantity in schedule line for a sales order.
I can't find any table linking these two fields.
    Could you help?
    Thanks a lot
    Jeannie

    Ashish,
When we link these two tables by Sales Order Number / Item, we would take following result:
Sales Order    /     Itme     /     Schedule line     /    confirmed quantity   /     actual billed quantity
    1                  /      10        /      1                     /    3                            /              5
    1                /         10      /       2                    /     2                            /             5
But in fact, for Sales order/itm 1/10, we have only 5 PC billed, not 10.
When billed 5 PC, I want to despatch it to the Schedule line as 3, 2.

    Jeannie

  • Confirmed quantity on sch. line erased when credit block

    Hi Gurus,
I hope you can help me. I am creating a sales order on VA01, but when trying to save, it appears the incompleteness log, saying the PR position is missing.
What happen is that due to the credit block, the confirmed quantity on the schedule line has been erased.
I want to keep the credit block and do not erase the confirmed quantity. How can I do it?
    Thanks in advance.

The problem was solved changing the incompleteness log for that document class.

  • Zero confirmed quantity in schedule line

    Hi all,
the confirmed qty in schedule line is zero in one of my sales order & system is giving the message that "no schedule lines due for delivery up to the selected date"
    pls advice
    vikas chhabra.

    Hi Chabra,
System will show confirmed quantity as Zero in the sales order, if the customer has any credit check. If the customer exeeds credit limit, even though if you proceed then you can see confirmed quanitity as zero, in the sales order.
Goto VKM3, and give your sales order number, and release it then you can see the confirmed quantity in the sales order.
And in the delivery if your getting the error as "no schedule line due for delivery for the selected date" means, the confirmed quanity date in the schedule lines in the sales order is not same as the date what your giving while creating delivery.
Pl check the date in the order and give the same date at the delivery creation screen.
    Hope this is clear.
    REWARD IF HELPFUL.
    Regards,
    Praveen

  • Ungrey Confirm Quantity under Schedule Line

    Hi SD Experts,
Inside sales order when ordered quantity lets say 10 units, under line item schedule line in confirm quantity column is grey out. Is there a way to configure so that user can change the confirm quantity?
Currently confirm quantity follows the ordered quantity. In some cases user wants to change the confirm quantity to differ from ordered quantity for reporting purposes to show quantity fulfilled and quantity unfulfilled.
    Please advise. Thanks!
    Regards,
    LEE

    Hi Lee
But as your requirement is to change the Schedule line item qty feild in modified mode then using transaction SHD0 you can do it .
But In item data->schedule line data only , you can see ordered qty , but the confirmed qty will be calculated based on the availability check only.Because say if there are more than X no. of orders then the Schedule line date will be calculated and it gives the confirmed qty and the schedule line date also
    Example :
    order qty - 100pcs
    confirmed qty - 75pcs    Delivery date - 15/01/2009
confirmed qty - 25pcs    Delivery date - 17/01/2009 (Assuming that you have maintained 2 days in MMR)
NOTE   : But it is not advisable to change that feild

  • Confirmed Quantity in Schdeule Lines is Zero for certain item categories

In make to order scenerios, the confirmed quantity in the schedule line is zero as a result credit management is not triggering. In some make to order scenerios, the confirmed quantity is showing up for certain materials even though there is no stock of the material in the Plant and credit management is getting triggered. While for some other make to order materials the confirmed quantities are showing as zero as there is no stock of the material in the plant and the credit management is not getting triggered. I want the credit management to be triggered irrespective of the availablity of the stock in the plant and the confirmed quantity in the schedule line should not be zero.
Look forward to the experts suggestions & solutions.

    Hi,
    Thanks for the reply.
Well all the standard credit management setting have been done including the setting advised by you. We are facing a problem in make to order scenerio for certain materials wherein we get a single schedule line with zero confirmed quantity. In this case the credit management does not get triggered even though the credit limit gets exceeded.
Requirement now is that even though the schedule line quantity is zero the credit management should get triggered once the credit limit gets exceeded and give the error STATIC CREDIT LIMIT EXCEEDED and should not save the sales order.
    Thanks & Regards

    Hi,
Just turning off the availability check in material master, doesnt stop the sequence of the requested delivery date.
    Just go through this info.
    Checking Rule
You use the checking rule to control the scope of the availability check for each transaction in sales and distribution. You also specify whether the check should be carried out including or excluding replenishment lead time. The individual checking rules define by transaction, which stock and inward and outward movement of goods should be taken into account for the availability check.
    Schedule line category
You can control with the schedule line category whether an availability check and transfer of requirements should be carried out in the sales documents. The possible settings for this at schedule line level are dependent on the settings in the requirements class which is determined from the requirements type of the material.

  • Not able to confirm quantity in Schedule Line

    Hi all
I created order for 1000 quantity, stock available was 1000, confirmed quantity 1000. Now when i deleted this order and trying to enter fresh order for 1000 units i am not able to confirm the quantity as it is showing confirmed against the deleted order. please guide me how to go about.
    regards
    Rajesh T

    Dear Rajesh
Check in document flow VA02 by entering the deleted sale order number.
If delivery is created and saved without doing PGI, then you wont be able to assign the stock to another order.  Delete the delivery document also and retry.
    Thanks

  • Is there a bapi for confirming quantity on schedule line?

Does anyone know of a BAPI for confirming the quantity on a sales order schedule line?
    Thank you,
    Justin

I was not able to get either of these to do what I needed, so I just wrote a BDC subroutine to confirm the quantity.
    Thanks for your input!

  • How to control not to confirm quantity in sales order schedule line

    Hi,
We have a problem with confirmed quantity in sales order schedule line.
When I reject a position in a sales order, confirmed quantity still remains with quantity ( diferent to 0).
I need in some cases that system not to confirm quantity in schedule line at item level.
I've tried to do this with a new routine in OVB8 transaction, but it didn't work.
Could you help me? How can I avoid the system to confirm quantity in a sales order item?
    Thanks in advance....

    Hi Lakshmipathi,
I'm sorry. The rejection was a bad example.
I need, in some cases, that the system doesn't confirm quantity in sales orden item. We have a custom field in sales order item and we need to confirm with 0 quantity , when that field has a specific value.
Due to that field is a custom field, I need an exit, or rutine, or .. i don't know...to inform a standard field too ( delivery block, rejection...) something to get confirmed quantity to 0.
I've tried with rutine in OVB8. But It didn`t work
I've tried with delivery block, but with this all items in sales order, confirms with 0. I need at item level.
    Thanks

  • Delivery quantity is greater than schedule line confirmation quantity (sales order)

I am creating a sales order with 30 Mt. I confirmed 10 Mt (partial confirmation and based credit block) in schedule line Now I am going to create the delivery system automatic taking 10 Mt but when I am going to change the delivery means when I increase the delivery quantity (20 Mt) then system allowing to do the further process.
As per my understanding system should not allow to increase the delivery quantity m     ore the sales confirm quantity.
Please suggest how I can restrict.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sujit

Thanks for your reply,  As you suggest "B" is there. But its not working.  For ref. screen shot is attached.
For reference I am providing some more details:
=> We are using "Make to order" process. After creation of sales order we assign the stock to sales order using T-code MB1B , Movement type 412E,
    => Auto credit check applicable
=> Confirmed quantity in schedule line based on credit limit.(Auto credit check at Sales order level)
=> Avail. Check is 02 and check. rule is "AE" .
    Thanks and Regards

  • Link between Schedule lines and delivery quantity

    Hi all,
At the item level in a sales order, can anyone tell me the link between schedule line data and delivered quantity.
Schedule line data can be found in VBEP and delivery qty can be found in LIPS. But I want the link between the two. For which partcular date in the schedule line item the delivery qty is displayed.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Amol and Rahul,
Actually I dont want the link between sale order and delivery, I want the link between schedule line dates and delivery qty.
    Hope I am clear.
    Thanks in advance.

  • Changing the Confirmed Quantity in Sales Order

    Hi Gurus,
I have a requirement to change the confirmed quantity of the line item of the sales order. Is there any FM or BAPI that I can use? And how?
    Thanks,
    Andre

    Hello,
I am having to deal with a similar issue.
The allocated quantity needs to be reset, so that the quantities can be allocated again according to the checking rule for product allocation.
This is probably not clear anymore, I am also totally confused now, so I'll add an example.
    Example:
SCENARIO 1: Rejected item quantity not available to earlier order:
Assume product ABC is on a monthly allocation plan at a channel level
    Available units = 100 units
    Allocation plan = 50 units for Channel1, 50 units for Channel2
Assume all orders in this scenario are for one channel
    1.     Order 1 is entered
Qty of 40     confirmed from ATP check, confirmed from allocation check
RESULT: allocation of 40 units is consumed, available allocation = 10 units
    2.     Order 2 is entered
Qty of 20     confirmed from ATP check, confirmed for 10 units from allocation check
    Remaining 10 units unconfirmed
RESULT: allocation of 10 is consumed, available Allocation = 0 units
Unconfirmed order quantity = 10 units
    3.     Order 1is rejected
line item for Qty 40 is rejected
RESULT: available allocation = 40 units
    4.     Order 3 is entered
Qty of 40     confirmed from ATP check, confirmed from allocation check
    Allocation of 40 is consumed
RESULT: allocation of 40 is consumed, available allocation = 0
    5.     Rescheduling is run for this product (order creation date determines priority in the queue)
    EXPECTED RESULT:
Order 2 has highest priority and would be committed for 20 units, leaving 30 units for Order 3
Order 3 Commit quantity 30, unconfirmed quantity 10
Order 1 Line item was rejected, (no committed quantity)
    RESULT:
    Order 2 - Commit quantity 10, unconfirmed = 10 (as available allocation 0)
    Order 3 - Commit quantity 40
Order 1 - Line item was rejected
So I need to reset the allocated quantities first...
Were you able to find a solution for this?

  • Confirmed quantity during sales order migration

Do any of you experts see any issue with the following approach to set the schedule line confirmed quantity?
We need to migrate open order from Legacy to SAP system. While migrating we need to keep the schedule lines (dates and confirmed quantities) to be same as that in legacy (Note that legacy has exactly one schedule line per order).
For Migration we are using the program RVINVB10.
On order to bring in the confirmed quantity we plan to apply the following logic
    1. Add following logic to user exit - MOVE_FIELDS_TO_VBEP (in MV45AFZZ)
If the order is a migrated order then
check if VBAP-POSEX <> ''    (This an unused field so we will use this to pass the confirmed quantity)
          then VBEP-BMENG = VBAP-POSEX
VBAP-POSEX = VBAP-MTVFP (Save Valye of Checking Group)
VBAP-MTVFP = ''.        (clear the checking group to override the ATP check)
    2. The following logic is added in User Exit SAVE_DOC_PREPARE (in MV45AFZZ)
If the order is migrated order then restore the value in VBAP-MTVFP from VBAP-POSEX and clear VBAP-POSEX.
This way we are able to get the confirmed quantity in schedule lines.
    Any suggestions welcome,
    Regards,

Here is an alternative functional approach
Depending on what is being used by your ATP config to determine supply you can create following pseudo supplies only for Sales order migration purpose
    Planned orders
    Purchase requisations
    reservations
you can load any max quantity such as 9999999 at an earliest Material availability date (MAD) determined from sales orders for Material Plant combination.
This will help ATP to confirm the same CDD if you pass CDD as required delivery date (assumption it uses backward scheduling)
Assumption: you are moving only completely open sales order & itu2019s not delinquent (CDD in past, schedule lines not confirmed completely)
You have to remove this pseudo supply after sales order migration is complete.
