Communicate with different R/3 Systems

Hi, SDN W/F expert.!
I have some question about SAP W/F.
We have two SAP R/3 systems to share a work flow each others.
In that case, Is it possible to implement this kinds of W/F?
If one employee requests something to be accepted from a boss,
the man only accept the document. but the boss is a SAP user in another R/3 system.
How can I solve these problems???
Let me know on that..

Hi Junha,
As I understand from ur requirement. in One system the employee is creating a request and the request will be reviewed ( and acted upon) by the boss in system 2 . If this is the situation then I would suggest in request transaction u do a RFC call to SWE_CREATE_EVENT providing it the destination of system 2. By this as soon as the request is created in System1 it will trigger a WF in system 2. (ofcourse the WF will be developed in system 2)  U can find the destination in transaction SM59. Similarly the Boss' action might be captured via a different workflow in system 1 .
I hope I am clear and helpful enuf !

  • JMS to communicate with multiple 3rd party systems

    Hi,
I'm fairly new to JMS and I need to build a system where I communicate with several third party systems through JMS.
Basically what I need is some sort of synchronous message system, as I need the result to display on my webpage.
In this scenario, I was wondering what is the most common design here, in terms of queues or topics.
Would it be normal for each system to have a input and output queue, or is it more practical that I provide a outbound topic and an inbouw queue that these systems could use?
I know how I can set this up, but I just wanted to ask if it is normal practice to ask a third party to connect to your own JMS system, rather than connecting to their queue/topic?
    Thanks,
    Steven

  • Since updating my IPhone 4s to iOS8.1 it wont communicate with my Audi MMI system?

Since updating my IPhone 4s to iOS8.1 it wont communicate with my Audi MMI system?  I can manually play music and podcasts from the phone by connecting and operating from the phone but it wont work handfree when connected.  Anyone have a solution?

    First, try rebooting it:
    Rebooting your iDevice
Hold down the Sleep (On-Off) and Home buttons together for about 10-15 seconds or until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears - then let go of the buttons. The iPad should begin to start up.
If that doesn't help then restore it: Backing up, updating, and restoring iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone software

    Hi Vilas,
How you may communicate with you AIX server may very greatly depending on what is running on your server.  Here is a link to another thread where Java calls and AppletView were discussed.  It contains a link to the company that makes AppletView, so it may have some good information for you.
Also, if your customer suggested you use AppletView and they developed it, they would probably be your best bet for explaining it to you.
    Hope this helps!

  • How to run terminal with different locales than system default?

I use fi_FI,UTF-8 as default, and I want have one window in tmux that would use iso-8859-1. If I type command "export LANG="fi_FI.iso88591"" in term, it won't change or atleast doesn't work properly. But if I start new instance of xterm (or other terminal) from this term, locales work correctly there. If I take utf-8 support off from tmux it makes the problem little bit different. It will show scandinavian alphabets (å, ö, ä) correctly but adds futile space after letter. I tried to fiddle with .bashrc, but it didn't get me any further either.

  • How to install English language apps with different language operating system?

    Dear Expert,
I have just purchased Adobe CC and downloaded the CC installer.
I cannot install Illustrator in English, because it automatically installs it in Hungarian (that is the language of Windows 7).
    I have tried to set
Preferences / Apps / Settings / App Language to International English and reinstalled and updated Illustrator, but
    it is still in Hungarian.
Could you please help me how to uninstall and reinstall it in English, please?
    Thank you,,

    Hi Jeff,
Thanks for your reply. I have an active membership - just managed to solve the problem with the help of Adobe customer support.
Basically, I had to uninstall Illustrator and the Creative Cloud installer, then deleted all Adobe folders and reinstalled the software.
Before downloading anything, I had to set up the 'Preferences/Apps/App Language' to International English, because it automatically switched to the language of the operating system.

  • Can I use our PC with existing SCXI setup (conencted to a PC by PCI-MIO-16E4) and use one labview application to communicate with FP and SCXI systems at the same time?

We have an existing PC with SCXI setup. can i plug in a PCI-485/2 card connected to a FP-1001 network, and get both systems to be utilized in a single labview VI?

Yes, you can utilize both sets of resources (SCXI and FieldPoint) at the same time from the same VI.
If you were using the SCXI RS-485 interface, the SCXI and FieldPoint system would have to be on separate serial ports. Beyond that, there should be no real restrictions on accessing both of them.

I'm planning to do data purging which transfer some old data in date range from oracle 8i to oracle 9i and then delete the old in oracle 8i.
as i know, to communicate between database in same server, we need to use "Database Link"
but if communicate with different server? any query or snytax to do it? or what steps i need to follow? Is it difficult to do it?
    Thanks..

You can create your database link like this (no need to have an entry in the file
    tnsnames.ora)
CREATE DATABASE LINK "<SID>.WORLD" CONNECT TO "<USER>"
    IDENTIFIED BY "<PWD>"
    USING '(DESCRIPTION =

  • How can AII/OER communicate with ERP if both are in same system ?

I have an ERP 6 EHP7  system with SAP AII/OER.   How can ERP communicate with AII/OER ?  Is PI/XI still required ?

    Hi @Denise Carew,
One of the deployment options for SAP AII is that it can be installed as an add-on on the SAP ECC system. Not sure if deploying OER on the same box as SAP ECC has been an SAP approved/suggested deployment.
When you say "I have an ERP 6 EHP7  system with SAP AII/OER" does that mean you have SAP AII component and SAP EM component installed at two different stages or has OER(AII+EM) been purposefully installed on SAP to be used as your enterprise repository?
When AII is installed as an add-on to SAP ECC it will have access to the master data (like Product/Material master, corresponding GTINs, etc). There is no need to communicate this master data.
But if you need to use "Secure Track and Trace" scenario in SAP OER then SAP PI is a mandatory software component. (Please refer to SAP AII 7.1 Master Guide section 2.4,Software Component Matrix, and other follow-on sections that explains this).

I am new to IPAD and I want o use facetime, how can I use it to communicate with my mac at home, do I need to create another account with a different email account

do I need to create another account with a different email account
Yes, the email addresses need to be unique to each device. You may use the same Apple ID on each device, but the email address used by each device needs to be different.

  • Help: Windows cannot restore a system image to a computer with different firmware

I want to recover a complete image of a Windows 7 operating system I have backed up to my other server. But I am getting the error "Windows cannot restore a system image to a computer with different firmware. The System Image was created by a computer using BIOS and this computer is using EFI"
The image was definitely taken from this machine - the firmware has not changed!
What do I need to do to restore the image?
    Background Story ..
I bought a new HP 255 laptop per-installed with Windows 7 without Operating Systems instal disks (I will NEVER be stupid enough to do that again!).
I took a complete image of the systems, as suggested so that I was well backed up.
However, my machine corrupted its operating systems with a few weeks. The boot recovery CD did not work (would not boot). So in desperation, and because time was short I went out and bought another, legitimate copy of Windows 7 DVD with a license key (So now I have 2, legitimate copies of the operating system!).
I installed the new copy of Windows 7 - but it was dreadful, because many drivers were missing. Mostly the missing drivers were not available on the HP support site for this machine. ALso, boot up was increadibly slow compared to the original OS installation.
So I created a new boot recovery disk from the new version of Windows, and tried to restore using that. New boot disk loads ok, I can find the old image on my network (after loading a few network drivers). But I won't instal the image - giving the above error message.
I tried deleting the EFI partition from the disk (using GPARTED to reformat that partition). That killed the Windows 7 on the machine - but still gives the same error message when I try to re-image the machine.
I have tried going into the BIOS settings .. HP 255 has a "Legacy Mode" - which I have enabled, but this makes no difference at all!
I think that the kind of solutions I am looking for might be:
    1. There is a clever way of disabling EFI on my 255 so that it looks like a legacy BIOS machine, or
    2. This EFI this is wired into my new boot recovery disk - and there is a way of creating a boot recovery disk that does not use EFI
This has taken me about 2 weeks so far, please help with any suggestions!

    Erico,
I suspect that "MSDOS" is what the Gparted tool calls "MBR" for a partition table, as explained here:
    http://superuser.com/questions/700770/mbr-equals-msdos-for-gparted
I think that you are suggesting I give up on trying to recover the image I have stored on my server and just to instal Windows 7 from my new copy. There are two problems with this.
    1. After having systematically downloaded all of the drivers from the HP 255 notebook support page, I am still seeing missing drivers listed. Install the AMD graphics softpaq driver first. It also contains the chipset drivers.
    2. The machine is taking a hugely long time to boot up, and seems much slower with this version. Maybe that is a product of using "EFI" rather than "bios" - I don't know.
My assumption is that HP had some special set-up option with their version of Windows which makes the machine more performant. It does not seem to be a coincidence that the image they deliver the machine with is not quite compatible with a 'normal' Windows 7 instal.
So my original question stands: How do I recover the image that I saved away (as per instructed) when I first bough the machine?
You still have not said what you used to create the system image. What is the "image" file's extension?
You are mistaken in your comparison. MSDOS is an operating sytem MBR is a partitioning scheme.  that is comparing apples to oranges.
The article is making an oblique reference in that using GPARTED is more or less equated to using the diskpart utility at the command line. Everything done at the comand line is essentially  done by use of MSDOS commands. GPARTED does the same thing with LINUX commands via a graphical interface so you don't have to type in the commands in a  Linux console.
Do you mean making a backup? a backup is not a clone which can be reproduced on different hardware. The SSD disk replacement does make the hardware differ from the original configuration.
Follow the instaructions on the following tutorial to make your disk a GPT type before installing.

    Can you give some advices?

i faced this problem one year ago.It would be something like that:
first you have to get the applet context 'getAppletContext()' (which is the current frame).
Then get parent of that context 'getParent()' (which is the browser context).
Then u can access the desired frame by its name. Finally you can access the desired applet located within this frame by

  • HELP!! Authorization in the same laptop with different operation systems

My BF installed Win 7 operation system on his laptop yesterday and re-authorized it when he used iTunes. However, when he finished authorization, a dialog block showing that "*Including this one, you have authorised two computers out of your available 5*" appeared; what's worse, when he connected his iPhone to the laptop, it deleted all the bought apps in the iPhone, instead of synchronizating.
I also want to install Win 7 operation system, but I'm afraid that the same thing would happen again (to my iTouch).
We're quite confused that why the authorization in the same laptop with different operation systems is counted as two times. Friends who know please tell us whether this is the case.. If not, please tell us how to deal with it as we frequently re-install operation system for quicker operation.

It's the *operating system* that is authorised, not the particular user profile or the hardware. Before upgrading/reinstalling deauthorise and you won't run out...

  • BEx Integration with different source systems

    Hi All
I know we can create BEx querys on top of an infoprovider. But instead of storing data into BW and creating reports using BEx tools can we integrate BEx with the other source systems.  Like Business Objects tool which can be integrated with different sources. My client wants to know whether we can integrate with BEx for the following
Support data source -- SAP BW
    Support data source -- Oracle
Support data source -- MS SQL Server
Support data source -- MS Access
Support data source -- MS Excel
Support data source -- ASCII Text files
    Support data source -- XML/XSD
Support data source -- Web Services
Support data source -- SAP R/3
Support data source -- BO Universe
Thanks for letting me know your opinions

    Hi,
in theory you can. You will still have a virtual provider on top of your Infosource which will be connected to your datasource; thus you'll have to create the structures; you'll have to load master data as well... so not so nice solution if you think that at this stage, the storage will be the less of your costs....
How are you going to deal with R/3 data?? I mean a great advantage of BW is really when you have an R/3 behind...
I'd rather consolidate all these disparate datasources using the Visual compsoer which can get this data out of nearly an datasource and merge them in one single report; in theory again you could implement all BEx functionalities but at which cost and effort??
Weird that a customer is asking such a question because it is usually the other way around: use SAP BW data in another front-end... by the way SAP is going to acquire BO soon....
    hope this helps...
    Olivier.
