Communication Channel Logs

Hi All,
Is there a audit log available for sender communication channel .
1)The sender communication channel tried to pick up some files 2 days back.I wanted to check the log of Sender Communication Channel for the problem today for why the files didn't get picked up(The messages are not there in sxmb_moni,CC is active,I had start/stop the CC,No locks in the file adapter,CC is up and running : These are some checks i have already taken up)
2)Communication Channel usually shows for 10-15 mins in RWB.Can it be changed to a longer duration -->day/week/month so that i can see the description of above problem?
3)There are some files already available in the FTP folder and the sender CC is unable to pick them up and new files are coming in.Does the new files get picked up by the CC eventhough the old files are there?
B'Rgds,
Sudhansu

Hi Sundhanshu
> 2)Communication Channel usually shows for 10-15 mins in RWB.Can it be changed to a longer duration -->day/week/month so that i can see the description of above problem?
: You can see the detailed log by increasing the Trace Level and in Visual Admin. Contact your Basis team for it.
> 3)There are some files already available in the FTP folder and the sender CC is unable to pick them up and new files are coming in.Does the new files get picked up by the CC eventhough the old files are there?
: Please check whether the communication channel is referrring to the old file names, file types. Also check other paramters you have put in Sender File Adapter.

    Shweta
If not done already, please try to set the communication channel status to inactive, activate the change.  And then immediately set back to active and activate the change.
This may get the processing going and give you more log details for researching the issue.
Also, as an FYI, though it doesnu2019t show internal locks as the Visual Admin does, you can use u201Clock overviewu201D tools from the Administration html page if you have access.  This may provide additional insight in the issue.
    Hope this helps!

  • Communication channel logging

    Hi,
One of our communication channels seemed to have some issues during the night. In the RWB/Communication channel monitoring there is a log of the last minutes (polling every 60s), but is there somewhere a bigger log?
    Best regards,
    Nicolas De Corte

    Hi Nicolas,
There is one more aspect where you can analyse the error with connunication channel is (RWB).You jus need to select the communication channel in communication channel monitoring .,then you will find the corresponding Message ID for the message that has been processed by that communication channel. Double cick on the MESAGE ID and select AUDIT LOG.
This will give you details about the status of the messsage from the Adapter level processing to Devlivery of the same message to INTEGRATION ENGINE to process furthur.
Hope this leave some clue of what went wrong in your case.
Can you plese check wether the AVAILABILTY TIMES deatails have been specified according to your  requirement(Time,Number of rows) etc.,
    Thanks,
    Ram.

  • Unix script not working when executed from SAP PI communication channel

    Hi Experts,
I am currently using the Run OS command after message processing functionality of the file adapter.
However, the unix script doesn't seem to work when run via communication channel.
The script runs properly when executed manually.
The communication channel logs don't show any error as well.
Do you have any ideas as to where the error might be.
    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi All,
Thank you for your replies. I appreciate this.
    @Anand, here is the script:
    #!/usr/bin/sh
    #version 1
    hostname=$(uname -a | cut -f 2 -d " ")
    MAILTO="[email protected] "
    homedir=$PWD
    echo $homedir | mailx -m -s "OB10 $hostname" $MAILTO
    /opt/java6/bin/jar -xvf OB10.zip
    ll | mailx -m -s "OB10 $hostname" $MAILTO
What's puzzling me is that I am able to receive the email alerts.
This means that the user has sufficient authorization to execute the script.
But the unzip command is not working.
I have seen the unzip work when run manually.
    Thanks,
    Mike

  • Audit log in communication channel monitoring(MDT)

    Hi,
I am doing a soap lookup in my message mapping for an interface. In order to monitor the request and response communication , I am unable to see the 'Audit Log' for the soap communication channel that was configured for the same.On clicking the message id for viewing the audit log,an error page is displayed as "Requested Page not found"
Could you please help me as to why I am unable to see the Audit Log.
    Regards
    Janice

    Hi! Janice,
Could you guide me as to where I can set the parameter for sync logging in AE
    You can got to
    1)  T Code: SXMB_ADM
    2)  Click Integration Engine Configuration
    3)  Again  click Configuration
    4)  Now Keep the parameter as TRACE_LEVEL   = 3 instead of 0 or 1 or 2.
then again go to SXMB_MONI there you can view now SOAP Request and Response.
I hope now it is resolved right

  • How can I log the data transmission of my switch in a file to analyze the quality of my communication channel?

How can I log the data transmission of my switch in a file to analyze the quality of my communication channels?

A lot depends on what type of switch you have and what kind of communication channels you're asking about.
There are several Cisco tools (e.g., "ip sla", SNMP-queried values, show commands etc.) that can give useful information.
If you give us some more information we can help more specifically.

  • FTP communication channel generating logs in NWA Logs and Traces

    Dear all
Wishihg you all a very happy new year. I have a peculiar issue, where I am using a FTP adapter, and files are deposited in an FTP location. This processing is runnign succesfully. However, my NWA logs says that there is communication issues while putting htis file in the server.
Whenever there is a transaction happening this error gets generated in NWA log.
Does any one have any idea why this is happening.
Many thanks & Regards : Bobby Bal

    Hi Bobby,
    1. Check whether the user you are using has access control i.e Read/Write Access from the folder in FTP server..
    2. Check it at OS level by directly pasting or pick the files..
    3. From SAP end check the user credientials provided in the file adapter i.e username of the FTP server and the Password of the FTP server it is case-sensitive.
    4. Try to give the exact path from where the file is to be picked and reactivate the scenario.
    5. what is the file size of the file that is going to be picked from the ftp server.
    6. Then finally check in Communication channel monitoring detailed log what is the error it was coming and check the log in XI server you can clearly notice the error.
Even some times it will access at OS level but not through the server for this reactivate the adapter and provdie the user credentials and the path once again..

  • Log in communication channel

    Hi all,
I work in Pi 7.0 SP18, and in have a question about log of communication chanel.
In fact, When I restart the PI system, I don't have any more Log in communication channel or never more than 1 hour.
I would like to know if it were possible to configure the parameter of CC log in visual admin or config tool for exmple to have more history about CC
    Thanks by advance
    NG

    Hello NG
It is not possible to change the features of the Communication Channel Monitor. If you need to see the log information you can check the following xi logs:
    1) defaultTrace.trc
    2) applications.log
    3) xi.log
Check the link below, which gives an explanation of the Communication Channel Monitor.

    Hi,
Looks like your archivelog space is exhausted. Increase the db_recovery_file_dest_size size and check.

the parser is not able to parse the data.
you can check the BIC conversion log for more information.

Did you actually read the alert-log ??
The problem is clear in there. Your datafiles are corrupted!!!
While the database is trying to correct these, a lot of ORA-00600 and ORA-07445's are generated.
Consult Oracle Support to get this resolved
    Thanks

ORA-3113 may be caused also (or should I say mostly ?) by Oracle bugs: you need to check your database instance alert log for ORA-07445 or ORA-00600 error message and for related trace file:
    oerr ora 3113
    03113, 00000, "end-of-file on communication channel"
// *Cause: The connection between Client and Server process was broken.
// *Action: There was a communication error that requires further investigation.
//          First, check for network problems and review the SQL*Net setup.
//          Also, look in the alert.log file for any errors. Finally, test to
//          see whether the server process is dead and whether a trace file
//          was generated at failure time.
