Communication problem between NetBeans and Tomcat
hi!
i got a quite mysterious problem. here is what happens:
- i start NetBeans 5.5.1 (the first time)
- i want to debug my JSF-Project, the Debugger starts
- After a few seconds the debugger waits for tomcat (it sais: "Waiting for Tomcat...") and tomcat starts
- Again after a few seconds the tomcat-debugger-output sais "Tomcat startet in 3333 ms".
okay.
when i enter http://localhost:8084/ in my browser i get the tomcat homepage, so the server has definitely started! But nothing happens in NetBeans and nothing happens with my project....
In the lower-right corner i see this blue working-bar that sais "deploying project" but nothing happens. The Project-Debugger-Output still sais "Waiting for Tomcat..." but nothing happens...
And after something around 3 minutes (i guess it's a timeout) i get the error "Starting of Tomcat failed." But is HAS started, i can login to the Administration-Area in my browser!
so i guess there is a communication problem between netbeans an tomcat. Netbeans waits for a message from tomcat but tomcat doesn't send it..or netbeans doesn't understand it.
But the story goes on:
When i press the debug-button a second time it takes only a few seconds till i get the message: "Tomcat server port 8084 already in use". OF COURSE! Because Tomcat has already startet and can't be stoped by NetBeans.
i'm trying to solve this problem for 4 days now, so i would be very happy if anyone has an idea where to start/continue the search...

As i wrote before, the same problem occured for me. I have found a solution which is : Go to tools menu and then select options . In the proxy info, select No Proxy.

Communication Problem between Listener and OEM
Dear all,
I had my OEM running and communicating with the database without any problem until I had a problem with other client and kill some OEM and Listener process, now it's not communicating with the listener.
I restarted my PC and tried to start afresh hoping that it ran as it had been, but the result is on the contrary. Somehow, the communication is corrupted. Currently, I can start the OEM using
emtcl start dbconsolebut when I try to start the listener from the browser from Net Services Administration: Host Login, it keeps starting without success.

ValWhat I did before I did tnsping and status on lsnrctl:
1. emtcl start dbconsole
2. start database from sqlplus using startup command
3. Open up browser, it me brought to OEM database control page.
4. Start listener ORACLE_LISTENER that associates with OEM from OEM database control page.
5. Brought me to NET login page, enter the login page, enable the listener.
6. At this point everything was just dandy:

Communication problem between OHS and OC4J

My web-application consists of business components, jsp, java beans.
Project is running fine and no problem when using application.
But the error_log file of apache is showing problems.

what could be the problem. waiting for comments.

After new installation and before deploying my application. I accesss the sample jsp pages available with server. Apache shows errors.

do any of you experience Im having with my ipad? I can't make a comment in Facebook for older posts and I can't open numerous comments from old posts of my friends. but everything works perfectly when I use my laptop(non-apple). is there problem between apple and FB?
Facebook apparently has their site coded poorly for tablets with touch screens. Try using the Facebook app. It is not perfect either but it is better than view in a browser lately.

I have a drawing that was resized to a certain length using PE4. I have now upgraded to PE10 and when I print the drawing , it prints 3-4 times larger than what it should be. When I view the drawing, the ruler at the top of the screen shows it being the correct length and when I checked the deminsion in the resize box, it also has the correct length. Have I done something wrong or should I delete the drawing and start over from scratch?
Could you be a little more specific please? Sorry, I am not a tech guy just a poor laymen.

I used to be able to print correctly using Firefox as my browser,but something changed in the last month or so,possibly after a Firefox update. I`m not really sure how it happened but there seems to be a problem between Firefox and my printer. So I have been using Internet Explorer as my default so I can print. I would prefer to use Firefox again since that is where my bookmarks are. Is there a way to get the connection between Firefox and my printer back?

Why sun did not concentrate on one IDE as Microsoft is doing with Visual Studio?
Now, I do not know what to learn....Netbeans or Sun Studio !!!

netbeans ?JDK is Java Development Kit. It includes all the Java APIs and Java tools like compiler etc so that you can develop code in Java language.
NetBeans is an IDE (Integrated Development Environment). It provides you tools for helping you write Java code, like it provides you a text editor where you can type your java code etc. You can use any other IDE like Eclipse JCreator etc for writing java code.
NetBeans should come packaged with a JDK. NetBeans requires JDK to function but JDK does not require NetBeans to function.
Personally, if you are so new to the language then I would recommend that you stay away from NetBeans or any other other heavy IDE for a while and code in something like WordPad or some of the other editors recommended in this thread. This will help you learn the language better. You can latter decide on an IDE when you are comfortable with the language. -
Wireless Communication problem between HP Photosmart C309g and Linksys E2500 router
Hello,
I used C309g connected to DLink Dl-624 router (wireless connection) and everything was working correctly. Now I changed the router to Linksys E2500 (dual band router) and I've got strange problem I cannot fix.
The printer connects to router, obtaint IP address and network report does not indicates any problem. Also HP Print & Scan Doctor does not report any problem.
But when I try to print from my laptop, the pint start and is quickly broken, and I've got the message that printer is diconnected. The printer stops. When I leave it for a coupl of minutes, the printing starts and after few lines stops again with the same message on the laptop.
When I return to DLink router, everything works correctly.
I tried with 4 different laptops, with different operating systems, and i've gor the same issue. But the laptops communicates well, the network does not break..
I enforced router to use IP reserved number for the printer, used the same IP range and number for my network and printer on Linksys and DLink, does not help. I've turn off firewall on the router - does not help. I've change the channel range for 2.4 GHz network to 20MHz only - does not help.
What would be the problem with it? Is there something related to dual-band? Any idea?Well, I did not install the printer drivers from cd, I did it from the Hp webpage. Looking for the potential problems I reinstall the drivers and it did not helped. I also turn off the firewall router application and it also did not help.
I suspect I have the printer firmware up to date e.g my version is WHM1FN0931BR.
I've made some test with router settings: switch from automatic WPS configuration to manual and tried network mode as wireless b only (default was mixed). This makes the communication between router and printer continuous (no breaks), I could normally scan documents directly to network drive, but could not print at all: the printing option on my laptop pops up, and looks like document was sent to nowhere.. printer did not start to print at all. But other network devices starts to experience connection breaks and performance issues. When I returned to mixed mode, the communication between network devices returns to normal operation, but not with the printer - where I experiences original problems.
My network is quite complex - 4 laptops and 2 TV sets communicates (wireless or LAN 100mbit cable ) via cental router with NAS server (with DLNA) and internet (DSL cable modem). Router also works as DHCP server, where any server type devises (e.g my printer) has reserved IP addresses (based on MAC number). No matter if I try to print from wireless or via LAN cable laptop, no matter what OS is on laptop. I have even tried to connect the printer via LAN (forcing DHCP to give the LAN pronter the same IP as was previously for wireless ), and stil the same: communication is broked and the print starts and suddenly stops.., then starts angain after few minutes - and stops (the same problem as wireless). So I do not understand what the hell is going on. Rest of my network works perfect .. except this printer.. Any other idea, what coul be the issue? -

Both IR and ID is configured correctly, in the development environment everything works just great. I have created a test program where I can define how many calls I will do, looping over the func. call with a commit inside the loop - 500 or more msgs are ok.
The integration scenario is transported to quality enviroment using CMS, and the RFC sender comm.ch. is configured accordingly.
The problem in quality ***
When sending just 1 msg, everything is just fine, message received and delivered to MQ.
When sending >= 2 msgs, the 1 msg is always ok, BUT all others fails due to the following from Adapter monitor;

It seems to me that the RFC adapter is kind of confused about the sender..
I have created a OSS message and SAP has looged on and looked into it with both a XI expert and RFC expert without being able to answer - all is configured correctly.
- The SLD config. for bus.system Q93 is ok -
- The bus.system in ID is showing correct vaues for
Adapter Specific Identifiers (SID Q93, client 505)
- Both Dev. and Qual. environment are running on XI 3.0 SP 14 latest patch, RFC component version on the SAP side is identical between dev. and qual. SAP systems
- It doesn't matter which gw I use (Q93 gw or XI gw), the error is persistent
- It doesn't matter if I increase initial conn, max conn.
I have also tried to use qRFC instead, but with the same result.
Anyone using tRFC for asynch. communication from SAP to XI seeing something similar?
Meanwhile, I will do RFC trace on GW and RFC Adapter on AE....
Please, do not say SP15, oss msg for FAQ RFC adapter or links to RFCAdapter config....

Mac Book Pro reports communication failure between computer and CD-DVD player OX 80020022
I am using a 3 year old Mac Book Pro and I am unable to burn CD's or DVD's. I am getting an error message - OX 800 200 22 with a "communication between computer and disc drive failed". Any good remedies?

NetBeans and tomcat 5.0 work in a different manner
If I compile the servlet Contatore.java by means of NetBeans, it's ok only if I execute it by means of Netbeans with the following url in my browser
http://localhost:8084/servlet/Contatore
on the contrary if I execute it by means of Tomcat 5.0 only changing the port from 8084 ti 8080,
http://localhost:8080/servlet/Contatore
then I have the following error

The /servlet context is special in Tomcat. You invoke servlets that aren't mapped in the web.xml using URL http://host/ContextName/servlet/ServletName. When you give a URL like http://localhost:8080/servlet/Contatore, you're asking Tomcat to invoke a servlet named Contatore in the default ROOT context. Is there such a thing?
Tomcat prefers that servlets and Java Beans be in packages these days. If it's not, there might be problems.
I wouldn't name a context of mine "servlet". I don't deploy apps of mine in the default ROOT context, either. I create a context for each Web app. -
Problem with JNI and Tomcat (and threads???)

Here is the issue - I would like some help on HOW to debug and fix this problem:
2 test use cases -
1)
a)User goes to Login.jsp, enters user and password
b) User submits to LoginServlet
c) login calls JNI code that connects to a powerbuilder(Yes I know this is ugly) PBNI code module (this is a .dll) that authenticates the user with the database
d) the servlet then redirects to another .jsp page
e) user then submits to LogoutServlet - also a JNI call to a powerbuilder PBNI code module
f) REPEAT STEPS a-e over a few times (inconsistent) and then the call to the JNI code hangs
2)
a) users does NOT goto Login.jsp, but rather calls LoginServlet and passes the userid and password as GET parms
b) user does NOT get redirected to a page (redirect code commented out)
c) user calls LogoutServlet
d) repeat steps a-c at will and no failure, no hanging
The only difference is that in case 1 (with JSP), there is a redirect and it afffected the JNI call by haniging inside JNI code.
In case 2 (without JSP) there is still a JNI call, but it does not hang. In addition, when it hangs and I stop Tomcat, the logs show cleanup entries that say:

On would assume that the JNI code is not cleaning up after itself, but I don't believe this is the case,

I use a user login "apache" to stop/start Apache and tomcat. Because never launching apache et tomcat as root.
But I have the following problem with apache (file error.log) :
