<!-- VERY important to include-->

  • I HAVE MISTAKENLY BLOCKED ALL MY PHOTOS ON FACEBOOK USING FIREFOX AND CANT ACCESS IT AGAIN.CAN YOU PLEASE HELP ME TO SORT THIS OUT?

I have just mistakenly blocked my photos on facebook.com using Mozilla.I write clicked one of my photos and the was a portion that says blocked photos.I clicked that and tried to undo but could not work and now i cant see my profile picture and other pictures on facebook.

With Facebook on display, click on the site identity button (for details on what that is see the [[site identity button]] article) and then on More Information. This will open up the page info dialog.
First select the Permissions panel, make sure that "Load Images" is set to allow (selecting Use Default should also work)
Next select the Media panel, then click on the first item in the list. Use the down arrow key to scroll through the list. If any item has the option "Block images from (domain name)" selected, de-select the option.
This should hopefully resolve your issue, but also see [[Images or animations do not show]].
Some add-ons can also block images, for example if you have AdBlock Plus installed, make sure that you have not accidentally created a filter to block the images.

  • I am unable to click and load photos on Facebook using Firefox 16.

I am unable to click and load photos on Facebook. It recently happened about 2 days ago.

If images are missing then check that you aren't blocking images from some domains.
*Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in "Tools > Page Info > Permissions"
*Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
*Check the exceptions in "Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions"
*Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images with the cursor Down key).
If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.
Make sure that you do not block third-party images, the permissions.default.image pref should be 1.
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) and security software (firewall, anti-virus) that can block images.

  • I cant up;oad a photo on facebook

hello when i try to edit my profile photo on facebook my firefox locks up and it says not responding then it shuts down cann someone help me

    Hi Judy,
    Is Flash plugin disabled?
Safari 5.1.7 for OS X Lion, Safari 5.1.7 for OS X Snow Leopard, and Leopard Security Update 2012-003 disable out-of-date versions of Adobe Flash Player.
Out-of-date versions of Adobe Flash Player do not include the latest security updates and will be disabled to help keep your Mac secure. If Safari 5.1.7 or Leopard Security Update 2012-003 detects an out-of-date version of Flash Player on your system, you will see a dialog informing you that Flash Player has been disabled. The dialog provides the option to go directly to Adobe's website, where you can download and install an updated version of Flash Player.
    Additional Information
If you need to re-enable an out-of-date version of Flash Player, you can do the following:
        1.    Navigate to the /Library/Internet Plug-Ins (Disabled) folder.
        2.    Drag "Flash Player.plugin" into /Library/Internet Plug-Ins.
        3.    If the browser is running, quit and restart it.

  • I cannot enlarge photos on Facebook, I only get a BLACK, BLANK screen when I click on them-someone suggested it might be "Screen Resolution Setting"? I've already uploaded new firefox version. Please help!

I am not able to ENLARGE photos on Facebook, this means photos that friends post on News Feed & photos that I post in my FB photo albums. I only get a BLANK, BLACK screen when I click on individual photos. A friend suggested that I upload the New Firefox, and I did this today, but it did not resolve problem. Friend also suggested that it could be "Screen Resolution Setting"?? OR "Data Rate" too slow?? I do not know how to check these features? Please help! If it could be something else, please let me know. Thank you for your time & help!

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
    * Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    See:
    * [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]]
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
    * Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
    * Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
    * Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
    * Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
    * Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
    * If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain.

  • How can I activate full screen photo viewing on Facebook with Firefox as the browser?

I recently was made aware that Firefox, along with Chrome, supports full screen viewing of photos on Facebook. It worked great on Chrome up until about three days ago, and now all images I try to look at in Full Screen mode are made so huge, I have to scroll to see the whole thing, or use the CTRL + - three times to make it fit, and then everything else after I'm done looking at the photo is so small I have to use CTRL + + to get things big enough to view. But that very well could be a Chrome problem. My question for this forum is why the Full Screen Viewing option is not available on my Firefox browser, which has been recently updated to the most current version available? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the reply cor-el, but I don't think you understood the question. No matter, because now the full screen viewing of photos in Facebook is now working while using Firefox. Still doesn't work with Chrome like it did and should, so now I will be using Firefox instead. :)

  • I can't crop/edit a photo in Facebook because when I touch the screen it just zooms the whole screen in and out

I can't crop/edit a photo in Facebook because when I touch the screen it just zooms the whole screen in and out
I am trying to update my profile picture and cover photo and Facebook advises to crop the area of the photo you want and select the area you want by dragging the area of photo , but every time I touch the screen it just zooms the whole page in and out and I can't turn it off :-(

If your email account offers a webmail access, I suggest checking the webmail - log in to your account using the webmail access, and I predict you will see all those "unread" emails there and can dispose of them from there.
This happens because the iPhone that went bad, when reading those emails, did not remove them from your email provider's servier.

  • Auto zoom in facebook since firefox upgrade

  • When trying to upload a photo to Facebook Firefox 5 hangs. I have no problem with Google Chrome

When I try to upload a photo to Facebook, Firefox 5 hangs. I have downloaded and used Google Chrome and it uploads in seconds. Thanks for any help.

I have used the address bar frequently since the problem began. I just checked my History record, it is blank and has no entries since I cleared it several days ago. (Had a rouge search engine that I accidentally downloaded when I was trying to get Firefox 3. I finally got rid of all traces and in the process cleared the history. But there should be at least 2 or 3 days of history and my bookmarks are ok! Auto complete is set to use both.

  • I can download documents and photos to Facebook, but I am unable to download the same to create a email attachement. How do I fix this?

I know how to create pdf attachments. I've been doing it successfully for years, but as of a week ago, I am suddenly being prevent from attaching documents and photographs to email messages. They are not being accepted. I am, however, able to send documents and photos to Facebook messages, but not to email attachments. What do I access to resolve this problem?

What email application are you using?
If it's a web based email program, try clearing your cookies and cache:
#Go to Firefox > History > Clear recent history or (if no Firefox button is shown) go to Tools > Clear recent history.
#Under "Time range to clear", select "Everything".
#Now, click the arrow next to Details to toggle the Details list active.
#From the details list, check ''Cache'' and ''Cookies'' and uncheck everything else.
#Now click the ''Clear now'' button.
Further information can be found in the [[Clear your cache, history and other personal information in Firefox]] article.

  • I cant edit my photo on facebook

hello when i try to edit my profile photo on facebook when i try to upload my new photo firefox locks up and then shuts down

And if you don't know... do you have a back up?

  • No photos in Facebook

For the past 48-72 hours I have been unable to access any photos in Facebook. This includes all of my own photos; whether it be profile shots or photos in my albums. If I click on a thumbnail photo I am taken to another page but when the loading icon stops spinning all I'm left with is a blank page. Similarly, if I click on a posted photo of someone else's all I get is a blank page.
The only reason I post this request for help here (other than the fact that Facebook is ignoring me) is because, should I switch to Firefox, I am able to access all photos just as I'm supposed to.
What could be doing this? Is it a cache thing? A cookie thing? A prefs thing?

    HI Alan,
*What could be doing this? Is it a cache thing? A cookie thing? A prefs thing?*
    Quite possibly all three.
    Open Keychain Access (Applications/Utilities)
Select Passwords on the left then move the "login.facebook..." keychain to the Trash. Quit Keychain Access and relaunch Safari. Try logging in to Facebook. If that doesn't help...
With Safari open, from the Menu Bar, select Safari/Preferences and select the Autofill tab. Click the Edit button next to "Other forms". Delete facebook.com and relalunch Safari.
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Empty Cache. When you are done with that...
From the Safari Menu Bar, click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 5 buttons and click Reset.
Go here for trouble shooting 3rd party plugins or input managers which might be causing the problem.
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1594
Most web pages now include a small icon or 'favicon' which is visible in the address bar and next to bookmarks. These icons take up disk space and slow Safari down. *To delete Safari's icon cache using the Finder, open your user folder, navigate to ~/Library/Safari/ and move this file "webpageIcons.db to the Trash.

  • Facebook or Firefox, help needed

Getting this really annoying dialogue box out of the blue, especially when I close a photo in Facebook from someones album:
    http://img51.imageshack.us/i/screenshot20110408at833.jpg/
it then gives this url, which is way over my head:

Anyone seen this stuff yet? thanks!
    new version of FF 4.

chiduke i think because this problem exists in every browser, its not an issue with Firefox browser, i think your windows machine is under attack by some malicious software or your spyware is blocking the access to internet.
Did you say you are able to access for some time after you reinstall Firefox, i don't actually know why it works think its working until the malicious software or your spyware detects Firefox's presence and blocks the internet.
Try to start your machine in Safe mode, i mean windows. (Don't know how as i don't use windows but i know there is a safe mode when i Googled it say you can access internet only in safemode with networking option enabled so make sure you open in that), try to access the web & test for few hours if it works then its a problem with windows. May be you can ask windows support for help.
