Compatible Unit Software Component in SAP Enhancement Pack 2

Hi All,
Can anyone pls tell me Which software component I need to apply for Compatible Unit (CU) ? Which are are the files I need to deploy ?
I want to install CU in our ECC 6.0 environment. What are the pre-requisites for that ?

While Importing some components has missed and the Exception is unable to handle it. Is it possible for you to Import again and check the table space is sufficient.

Performance Issue with RF Scanners after SAP Enhancement Pack 5 Upgrade

We are on component version SAP ECC 6.0, and recently upgraded to Enhancement Pack 5. I believe we are on Net Weaver 7.10, and using RF scanners in one plant that is Warehouse Managed. Evidentially when we moved to EHP5, the Web SAP Console went away and we are left with ITS Mobile. This has created several issues and continues to be a performance barrier for the forklift drivers in the warehouse. We see there is a high use of java script, and the processors canu2019t handle this. When we login to tcode LM00, on a laptop or desktop computer, there are no performance issues. When we login to tcode LM00, with the RF scanners, the system is very slow. It might take 30 seconds to confirm one item on a WM Transfer Order.
1.) Can we revert back to Web SAP Console, after we have upgraded to EHP5?
2.) What is creating the performance issues with the RF Scanners now that we switched over to SAP ITS mobile?
Our RF Scanners are made by Intermec, but I donu2019t think that is where the solution lies. One person in our IT Operations has spent a good deal of time configuring SAPITS to get it to work, but still it isnu2019t performing.

I am sorry I did not see this earlier.
I'm currently working on a very similar project with ITS mobile and the problem is to accurately determine the root cause of the problem in the least amount of time. The tool that works is found here: http://www.connectrf.com/index.php/mcm/managed-diagnostics/
Isolating the network from the application and the device is a time consuming process unless you have a piece of software that can trace the HTTP transaction between host and device on both wired and wireless side of the network. Once that is achieved (as with Connect's tool) you can then you can begin to solve the problem.
What I found in my project is that the amount of data traffic generated by ITS mobile can be reduced drastically, which speeds the response time of the mobile devices, especially with large number of devices in distribution centers.

Some Software Component Versions do not show up in transaction sproxy

I have a landscape with a CRM system, a PI system (with the SLD on it) and some other systems.
In transaction sproxy in the CRM system the Software Component Version SAP CRM ABAP 7.0 shows up, but others that should be there like SAP ABA 7.01 are not there.
So I went on the SLD and edited the technical system for the CRM system, I added the product SAP CRM 7.00 and set the checkmark for installed for the relevant SWCVs like SAP ABA 7.01.
I then went to the business system for the relevant CRM client and there also checked those SWCVs.
But still they do not show up in transaction sproxy in the CRM system.
What am I missing?

It seems like few objects are still locked. I faced this problem once.
Please restart the WEBAS and then proceed again. Restart will release all held locks on the objects.

Our basis team applied EHP1 SAP NetWeaver 7.01to our landscape and they have imported the BASIS software component "SAP BASIS 7.01" to PI system .
Now i have Two BASIS software components "SAP BASIS 7.0" and "SAP BASIS 7.01"
I have already configured many interfaces in Configuration , all Adapters are using the BASIS software component as "SAP BASIS 7.0". How can i make use of "SAP BASIS 7.01" for all which is already configured?
I can select the "SAP BASIS 7.01" for newly creating communication channels
what abt already existing communication channels??
Generally what would be the procedure for this when we have new BASIS SWCV???

not true for IDOC adapter there are many new parameters now
like idoc packaging
so there are some important changes with some adapters but you don't need to change it if you don't need to use them

Software component and unit in PI 7.0

can you distinguish bw software component and unit in PI 7.0.
since unit is not available in XI 3.0.

S/w Unit is a logical link between Product version and SWCV.
S/w unit contains information of product version and this infomation can be shared across all software component version related to that particular product version.
A product can have many S/w units and a S/w unit can have many SWCVs

I have a predelivered software component version ( SWCV ) ESA ECC-SE 602 which I imported into IR ( by setting the *tpz file in the appropriate folder and the imported from IR ) This worked ok. Now I have a custom SWCV - that I created in SLD. Before importing this into IR , I want to create a install time dependency from this custom SWCV pointing to the standard. SWCV.
Question is : Where is the entry in SLD for the SAP standard SWCV - i.e ESA ECC-SE 602 - without this entry - in SLD - how can I point my custom SWCV to ESA ECC-SE 602 ? Or is there any other zip file apart from the *tpz file that is available in marketplace for ESA ECC-SE 602 that I need to import into SLD ? I am stuck at the point of defining the dependency with this question.

I see that in IR , the SAP std software component has the following name ECC-SE, version 602 . But I do not see a corresponding entry for this in the software catalog in the SLD.
*Question is - should an entry be created automatically in SLD under the software catalog for all SAP delivered contents whenever the tpz file is imported into the IR ? I don't see it created in our case. What is missing ?

Curently we r using PI 7.0 SPS 14 kernal Version 179.
Unable to find out SAP ECC 6.0 Software component Version or (Product version) in SAP XI 7.0 SLD.
how to solve this issue....

I am doing Plant driven procurement service enablement scenario by using XI 7.0, for this,
we are integrating MM & SRM SUS Through XI 7.0 (MM -- XI-- SRM SUS).
For doing this Scenario,
1. Downloaded XI Content for SRM
2. Imported XI Content into the IR
3.After importing, Plan_Driven_Procurement_SupplierEnablement Scenario was enabled.
Here, MM side SWCV is R/3 4.6 is available by default. but in my case i need to change to ECC 6.0(bcoz,currently we r using ECC 6.0 version )
In SLD, there is no ECC 6.0 version.
So, how to solve this issue.

SAP EU software component for Web Dynpro SP9

Hi all,
I've followed the tutorial on how to create a Web Dynpro Callable object and couldn't go further because I couldn't find the libraries needed in the Local DC (caf/eu/gp/api/wd) api's.
I've found the Blog from Andre Truong on how to retrieve this API's in your Local Development Component projects (SP7).

Unfortunally this is only working for SP7 (And maybe SP8) but not for SP9.
In the blog Andre mentioned that this problem might be resolved with SP9 because the API's come as default with the IDE.
This appears not to be the case for me.
Does anyone know how to resolve this problem?
PS I also read the following thread and the reply from Tomas Kuba but that seems to be a difficult and dirty way to do it?

Ok, seems to work just fine for SP 9 also.
Only the folders eu and gp don't excists. Just create them and extract the zip files.

I'm trying to develop a Webdynpro component that is going to be used in Guided Procedure (CAF) in 2004s SPS08.
This snippet is in the <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/de/8976417f2d5558e10000000a1550b0/content.htm">tutorial</a>:
The software component SAP-EU must be imported in your development configuration. In particular, you need the following development components (DCs):
- caf/eu/gp/api
- caf/eu/gp/api/wd
In addition, you need the following DC from the software component SAP-JEE_1:
- com.sap.security.api.sda
I do know how to use DC's but where do I get this component SAP-EU from ? I could not find these caf/eu/gp/api etc. components in anywhere in the DC's I have on the local development.

Impact to existing Software Component during EHP upgrade

Hello Friends,
I have the below query with regard to Enhancement Pack Upgrade from EHP5 to EHP6.
Our Current set up
ERP Version - SAP ECC 6.0, EHP5
SPS Stack 11 (Released Oct 2013)
SAP_HR Level 69 (Released in Dec 2013)
Proposed upgrade to
ERP Version - SAP ECC 6.0, EHP6
SPS Stack 09 (Released in Oct 2013)
SAP_HR Level 69 (Released in Dec 2013)
When we upgrade the system to EHP6, SPS Stack 09, what would be the impact to the SAP_HR software component which is already on SP level 69 which is released on December?
After upgrade will the SAP_HR SP level be downgraded to level 66 (released in Oct), since we are moving to SPS Stack 09 ? And are we expected to apply SAP_HR SP 67, 68 and 69 once again?
OR
2. Will the SAP_HR component remain at SP level 69 while rest of the system gets upgraded to EHP6 SPS Stack 09 (Oct 2013)?
Any help would be appreciated.

Hello Ananth,
The EHP upgrade will not downgrade the SAP_HR packages,
if stack level that has lower SAP_HR level included it will remain at current level
and apply stack level to any components lower than that so as you
describe in second part is accurate.

Help with NWDI Software Component Installation on CRM 5.0?

Hello,
We are currently running CRM 5.0 on Windows Server 2003 with MS-SQL Server. While installing CRM 5.0 we didn't select the DI (NetWeaver Development Infrastructure) software component as we didn't expect earlier to do any Java development. Now, it seems that for E-Commerce enhancements and development we must have NWDI. I have already checked the NW7.0 Java Installation on Windows guide and couldn't get much information on NWDI software component.
Can anyone please guide on the steps for installing NWDI on our CRM Box? Also, any idea on approximately how much space would this require for CRM System?

run netweaver 2004s installation master CD. under that select SAP CRM5.0 Suppoty release-> SAP Systems-> sql-> Central system. select custom installation-> you get ERP 2005 Software units.
under that select the DI option and continue.

YOu mean to say Software Unit..
If yes Software unit is a particular aspect of the Product functions.It is a logical link between the product version and the software component version.
A product version consists of multiple software units. These units are implemented by various software components (or versions).
The product SAP R/3 Enterprise, which represents an SAP technical component, has, among other things, a product version SAP R/3 Enterprise Core 4.7. The software unit that represents the functions of this product version has the same description as the product version. Various software components (or versions) fill the functions of this software unit. These software components (or versions) are, among others, SAP Basis 6.20, SAP HR 4.70, and SAP Enterprise Retail 1.10.

This help file will give you information about Software Unit if PI 7.0 is installed on your machine.
