Compressing several projects at once

I want to make 5 mpeg2s using compressor at the same time. They can all have the 'best quality" setting with no variations. How would I do this/
Since I am on the subject, what is the difference between best quality 90 minutes and best quality 120 minutes?

Now I understand ! Of coursew you can make a batch encoding from inside and/or outside FCP. They will be encoded NOT at the same time, but one after another without any user operationes.
FROM INSIDE FCP
Suppose you have several sequences/timelines to encode (from same or different projects).
- Open all your sequences in FCP.
- Go to the first sequence and select Export > Using Compressor
- Compressor will open and your sequence will be in the batch list.
- Select the presets for that sequence and the desired destination BUT NOT PRESS SUBMIT BUTTON YET.
- Come back to FCP, select another sequence and do again Export > Using Compressor.
- Make your settings in Compressor for that new batch item.
- Repeat the process for each sequence.
- Once all your sequences are listed in the batch list and all your encoding settings are ready, press Submit button and your Batch encoding will start.
FROM OUTSIDE FCP
- Export your sequences as Quicktime Movie same settings, including Chapter MArkers for DVDSP (self contained is my favorite flavour).
- Close FCP and open Compressor.
- Drag and drop all your movies into the batch list and do the encoding settings and destinations.
- Press submit.

I had to google your device - looks like it's a vintage multi-track recorder that records to Zip disks. So I guess there's no digital USB or Firewire multichannel output and no way to transfer your tracks digitally - or is there? If not, your only option is to record the device's audio track by track into GB.

How to import multiple videos to project at once?

Bonjour, first off, I love the iMovie iOS app, however, I feel it's missing a key feature. Is there a way for me to add multiple videos into a project at once without having to select them individually, and have the screen close, then having to re open it, and search for the other, and so on and so forth.
It would be so much easier if I could just select multiple videos from the import feature on my phone. The videos take a while as it is to load in the feature, my project is being created from oldest to newest, so I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the list, wait for all the videos to load so I can, and then an only select one so I must repeat the process.
Any way around this yet?

Import all your videos into iPhoto's library.
Step 1: Plug your phone into your computer
Step 2: open iPhoto (or if you have an iPhone it should open automatically)
Step 3: click on you phone under "Devices"
Step 4: hold down the "Command" key while selecting ALL the videos you want to import
Step 5: Under "Event Name" give all your videos a general title (ie. Vacation)
Step 5: Import
Step 6: Open iMovie and look for the event name under Event Library

You can set the default duration of stills but you have to do it before you start the project.
iMovie is not really suitable for stop motion videos and iMovie 10 is worse than iMovie 9 because the minimum still duration is not really controllable as you have found. I don't have experience of making such videos but there are 3rd party apps which appear more suited to this, for example http://www.macworld.com/article/1146623/stop_motion_Mac.html
mentions some of them, though its a bit old and you may be able to find more up to date information.

Several photos at once

A simple question for those of you who do these: 1) How do I display several images at once on the screen -- minimize each piece so they can all fit on the screen? 2) I'm putting together a series and need the colors of one image to match the same color on the other images (which is why I want to line them up in #1). To do this, I've tried using the eyedropper to sample, then drop the color into the other images: I've also tried reading the numeric number for a color, then copy the same color on another image. I'm not having much luck, though it could be due to my ineptness. (Note: The images are already made. Right now I'm just trying to tweak the colors so they match.) Any ideas on either 1 or 2? 1. Window > Arrange > Tile, You can also match the zoom across open Window Arrange > Match Zoom
2. A couple of options I'm going to suggest, depends on the result you are after
a. You could make images Monotone?
First make the images Grayscale, Image > Mode > Grayscale
Then Duotone Image > Mode > Duotone
Just use one ink for Montone, you can then change back to CMYK/RGB to avoid having spot colours
b. Image > Adjustments > Match color... Here you can choose the target file that you are trying to match. A much more subtle match of tones and colors.

Printing several documents at once

Hello,
We are looking for a possibility to print out several originals at once (mass print). The originals might belong to several DIRs. I know that there are external solutions available (e.g. from SEAL Systems). But my question is wheather there are SAP solutions available for this requirement. I can think of printing from CV04N result list, printing from EasyDMS (printing complete EasyDMS folder), printing from CAD-Desktop (CDESK) or from Web Documents. But in SAP Standard (ECC 6.0) you can alway just print one original at a time. I really appreciate any information!

Create a desktop printer for the HP - using Printer Setup Utility in the Printers menu.
Drag and drop your docs on the desktop printer.
Please let us know about your success with this.

Deleting several Books at once ?

Does anyone know if it's possible to delete several books at once, not just one at a time. I tried highlighting several and clicking "Delete" ....doesn't work.

thanks TD...so i have another question...do you know why sometimes if i click on a picture at the end of a row, the whole row gets highlighted and other times only the one picture gets highlighted....and then sometimes, some of the pictures i click on get unhighlighted and i have to start over...it seems to have a mind of its own, but i am sure there is some logical explanation?

With the show folder higlighted, press the options button. It will give you the option to play, delete, etc.

How do I replace a component in several BOMs at once?

I need to replace an item that appears in several BOMs. Rather than go into each BOM separately and remove the old component and then go back in and add the replacement component, is there a way to find and replace several (all) at once?

You have fist to create a Change type :
Bill of materials > Setup > Change types
Open the BOM Mass update form, enter the Change type , enter the selection criteria for the Assemblies.
In the Changes window, select the Change type 'Update'. On the first line (Update), enter the Component to change. On the second line (New), enter the new component.If necessary, enter component information.
On the main screen, select Report and submit : will display all the changes that will be performed.
Select Implement and submit : will apply the changes.

Update several project files based in one project

Hi garcia3000 and welcome to the RH community.
There is no way to automatically update the other projects
with the amended central project. If you use merged projects you
could merge the central project into the other project's TOC.
However this stores a local copy of the central project in the
project's baggage folder. If the central project is amended, you'll
have to re-add the amended CHM to the baggage files folder.

Here are a number of things that have worked in the past that you can try. If you already tried something in here, just ignore it.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your app preferences and device settings again.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

Using several projects in one show

1. Hi, how can I use several projects, organized together as a one 40-min long show?
2. I need a way to make a 40min show of great photos, that i'm going to have on my iPad and show with a video HD projector on a wall. Is iMovie the easiest tool for this?

1. In iMovie one can not easily combine projects. One must do a work around.
• Export Each project out as Full Quality QuickTime .mov
• Import them into Event's
• Start a new Project and use the new Event's
2. No idea - way out of reach for me.

Cannot make several changes at once

Hi,
I have Contribute installed onto a computer and i am able to connect to the server via FTP.
When I edit 1 thing on the website and go to draft and publish it will upload the change i have made and it is visible on the website, but when i make several changes at once then go to draft and publish then it says it cannot access the FTP server.
Does anyone know how to fix this? or hae had similar issues?

did not work. it's doing the same thing. the password does not contain any invalid keys
live chat does not support the BEFW11S4 version2. they told me to call 800-326-7114 for help
and the wireless functionality is working. i can connect to my network with my laptop. I just can't change anything on the configuration page (192.168.1.1) because it never recognizes my password except to login to the page.

PLD - print several documents at once

Hi.
Can anyone tell me if it's possible to print several documents at once in SAP B1 2007A.
When creating sales order, I would like to print both order confirmation and a second document used as pick list.

I do not believe that it is possible to print two different layouts at once except for special cases such as printing batch information along with a marketing document. You will see these special cases in Print Preferences.
The usual techniques for printing two documents from one layout are:
1. Repeat the repetitive area etc.
OR
2. Specify two copies of the layout.
In both cases, you would use formula fields that would react to which print you were producing. For example, printing a different page heading on copy 1 and copy 2.
