Computer had to be restored. Need help!

I had to restore my computer recently. Now most of my songs are gone from my Library & all my playlists are gone. How do I get the missing songs & playlists back? I have all my songs on my iPod. Is there some way to send the songs & playlists back to iTunes?

Well the smartass answer is that you restore from a previously made backup (that you are posting here is a pretty good indication that you don't have a backup).
There are several posts explaining how to recover files from the iPod to the PC. Do a search.
Hint: make sure iPod/iTunes is not set up for automatic sych, 'cos if it is and you have an empty iTunes library, when you connect the iPod will cleared before you get the chance to copy the files off.

Place the iOS device in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

If you restore from iCloud backup the apps will be automatically downloaded. If you restore from iTunes backup the apps and music have to be in the iTunes library since synced media like apps and music are not included in the backup of the iOS device that iTunes makes.

Sorry, just getting back. Since it is a used phone, you may have to contact the prior owner to see if they cleared their Apple ID and passcode. You could not force it into recovery mode? you are responsible for reinstalling any apps. It is not Apples responsibility as outline the the service agreement. Do you have the product key?

My windows xp computer got a virus and needed to be wiped.
As i store all of my itunes and iphone stuff on an external hardrive i thought this would not cause a problem.
Got a bit confused when i tried to open itunes again from the back-up hardrive as it would not open.
Wrongly assumed that the best option would be to re-download itunes and move my old itunes info across - silly silly thing to do :/
The new download just over-wrote the old one and after trying a few of the suggestions on here to get my old library back - i still cant work out if its possible as it has been over-written.
I don't want to plug my iphone4 into my computer as i have heard that this can wipe your phone completely, so before i do anything, does anyone know what is the best thing to do from here? or how i could posibly recover my old library, playlists, apps, podcasts e.t.c

I had the same problem.I tried every solutions on the net but nothing worked.Luckily on that very day my free avast antivirus date expired(I dont currently have a paid antivirus) and I uninstalled it.Then I tried to install itunes and did it on the first go.But I am using a windows 7 32 bit so it might not work for you as you are on the 64 bit.Actually the antivrus was the culprit.Hope it helps.Thanks

Welcome back. Do not overlook the Finder and individual application Help menu support. The links provided above are great starter references. With tongue in cheek, they also may not be as current as the OS X release on your mini, so expect some differences.
Here are a litany of keyboard short-cuts, last updated in June 2012, that may prove selectively beneficial.
For actions like copy(c), paste(v), cut(x), print(p), and select-all(a), substitute the command key instead of control key.
If you right click on a file, this menu will seem familiar. Press the option key and notice the menu changes. If you copy a file(s) from this menu, change to the destination and then press option with the right button menu to see copy file(s) changed to move file(s).
To quickly view a file's contents, left click on the file icon, then press the space bar.
The native file format for OS X is PDF. Thus, when you choose to print, you also have the option to save as PDF with web links preserved.

Computer freezes after changing CPU Need Help!

Just replaced the processor in my P35 Platinum from Core 2 Duo E4500 to Pentium Dual-Core E5800 as it says in MSI CPU Support that E5800 is supported. But to my surprise, the system would have blue screen whenever I turn EIST off. Why is this so? Need a solution quick. Would really appreciate any help.

Okey that is the last object to be place.. when the last object is placed there, text will changed and a different sound effect will be heard.
Once that is done, i press my back button to go to the game selection scene but the last object stays.

Not sure who "you" is. Thunderbird is software rubbing on YOUR computer.
You do not change your email password in Thunderbird. You do that at your email provider. Go to your providers web mail or email help page and look for a link to do that.
Once you have a working password that you can remember you need to remove and replace the stored passwords in Thunderbird.

Did you erase iPhoto (an application in your applications folder), the iPhoto library (a database file in yoru pictures folder) or images inside of the iPhoto library which will cause iPhoto to not operate correctly?
If you deleted images inside of the iPhoto library using the all images display (it is not a folder but a display of all image photos on yoru computer) and have emptied the trash then your optiopns are very simple - restore from your backup prior to deleting the images, purcshase file recovery software like file savage for one - http://subrosasoft.com/OSXSoftware/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id= 1 - have a file recovery company recover your files or go forward without them.

Error 1418 when restoring - need help

I am trying to restore my iPod (4th Gen) - when I do it I get prompted for my login and password and then I get "An unknown error has occurred 1418"
I am running the latest iTunes version (7.5) and I tried to plce into a different USB connection and also tried with FireWIre - no luck.
Any suggestions? The only other clue I have is that when I look at the iPod on my Mac is says formatted for Windows (and I am on a MAC).
Any help greatly appreciated!

For Mac computer
1. Open the disk utility, hope your iPod appears there (left hand side), highlight it
2. Go to Tab “Partition”, click either “Delete” or “Partition”, if fails, skip this step and go to 3
3. Go to Tab “Erase” , choose Volume Format as “MAC OS Extended (Journaled), and click Erase, again if fails, skip it and go to 4
4. Same as step 3, but open the “Security Options....” and choose “Zero Out Data” before click Erase. It will take 1 to 2 hours to complete.
5. Eject your iPod and do a Reset
6. Open the iTunes 7 and click “Restore”
If still cant solve, try to do the Restore for your iPod on a PC
