Computer recognizes my ipod but the driver isn't there to support it. I have the same problem with another Ipod touch where there is no driver for windows but this one Does show up on itunes.

I believe what I must do is install a driver but I don't know where the drivers are indexed at in apple. Itunes is up to date, and I am using the USB that came with the Ipod.

Have you tried the driver-related instructions in the following article, Hegel?

  • I have been having problems with my iPod touch and my WRT...

I have been having problems with my iPod touch and my WRT54G router. I am so frustrated right now because after following the various steps mentioned in one of these threads, following Earthlink's prompts, and speaking with Apple, my iPod touch will still not work. It is connected to the internet but will not download the pages. It is quite frustrating. I have changed from WPA to WEP, I switched the 4th Generated key to the 1st. I've disabled this, enabled that. I've done just about everything. I updated the firmware. I made the switch from a partial bridge to a full bridge. Still nothing seems to work. Does anyone have any other suggestions? The one thing I have not done is enter the Apple code into the iPod which searches for website...-- I cannot access the internet with my iPod so this web address does not work. If anyone has been successful, will you please give me step by step instructions? Yesterday I was on the phone with Linksys for about an hour. Before that with Apple for about an hour and before that with Earthlink. How it is that I can walk into a Bread Co. or Apple Store and immediately connect to the internet with my iPod but I can't in my own house?? Everyone seems to think it is someone else's problem so I've gone around and around. Not one of the Linksys support personnel suggested I look here on this community forum. I had to pay the $9 fee to have advanced Linksys help but still my iPod does not work and when I called back, the man I spoke with seemed to think the case was closed because my PC, Laptop, and iPod are connected to the internet -- the iPod just won't download the webpages or get mail. My iPod's IP address begins with 192. I would appreciate any help on this matter

I had the same issues with my iPod touch & iPhone. It's a known issue with the touch & Linksys G routers. Go into settings on the touch & do the following.
    1. Settings - wifi - linksys
    2. Erase your DNS settings & input same numbers as in router
    Settings.
    3. Http proxy should be
    in off position.
    4. Close out & open safari you should now have a wireless
    connection.

  • The same problem with all iPods

I also got the sad iPod face, but I didn't get the warranty. Can I still send it for repairs? If so, how much will it cost?

Would you mind telling me what was wrong with you iPod- and how you concluded you had a bad battery???
I am starting to realize that mine may have a bad battery too. I charge it up ( I thought the battery was supposed to last for 14 hours or something like that) it lasts for maybe 3 hours (after is supposedly fully charged even though it still resets like 3-10 times or so). I constantly get the message that the battery is low- when the battery meter shows like half a charge or so.
So frustrating. My iPod is only 3 months old. It worked fine the first month.
Also, after it dies and I turn it on my pressing the MENU button- the purchased songs do not work anymore...
Would you also mind sharing how you listen to your ipod. the first month I listened to it strictly on from the headphones- and it seemed to work okay. AFter that I have used, the ITrip, the casette adapter, and I now have the car cigarette lighter adapter (always running low on power- which I will be returning since it does not seem to be really fixing the problem).
-dylan (I was pretty impressed with iPod the first month- now I am pretty irritated)

  • I have a big problem with my ipod touch because i cant make password to open the ipod i did zoom in the setting and the numbers are big what i can do please

i have a problem to open my password ipod  i did zoom setting by mistake and now i cant touch letter because so big

Connect the iPod to its syncing computer and restore via iTunes.  If iTunes asks for the passcode and you can't enter the passcode, place the iPod in recovery mode and then retore. For recovery mode see:
iPhone and iPod touch: Unable to update or restore
    For more info see:
iPhone, iPad, iPod touch: Wrong passcode results in red disabled screen

  • Problem with date fields in where clause after changing driver

    Hi,
We have changed the oracle driver we use to version 10
and now we have some trouble with date-fields.
When we run this SQL query from our Java program:
    select *
    from LA_TRANS
    where LA_TRANS.FROM_DATE>='20040101' AND LA_TRANS.FROM_DATE<='20041231'
    We get this error code:
ORA-01861: literal does not match format string
The query worked fine whit the previous driver.
Is there some way I can run a SQL query with date fields
as strings in the where clause?
    Thanks!

Keeping the argument of standard SQL or not aside, comparing DATE columns to a constant string (which looks like a date in one of the thousands of the formats available, but not in others) is NOT one of the best programming practices and leads to heartburn and runtime errors (as you have seen yourself).
I would rather compare a DATE to a DATE.
Also, constants like that would be another issue to fix in your code:

  • TS1631 On an off for the last week or so I have had same problem with my iPhone 4. No sound or no bars show up when trying to increase the volume. I've had it for 14 months and no problem.  I've tried all the little tips re turning it off and also holding

Sound on my iPhone 4S is messed up, tips and suggestions left by others not working any more. At first turning it off for a while worked, when turned it back in the keyboard click would work for a few keystrokes but now not even that.  Had the phone for a bit more than a year, so I know my sound is on and checked all my settings. Posted suggestions from support is not helpful. I guess next step is to take it in for repair? Or is this Apple's way of telling us to upgrade? :(

Basic troubleshooting from the User's Guide is reset, restart, restore (first from backup then as new).  Try each of these in order until the issue is resolved.
FYI, Apple does not repair iPhones.  If basic troubleshooting does not resolve either purchase a new iPhone or take the device to Apple for an Out of Warranty replacement which is $199US for the 4S.

Try another port on your computer. Some ports are not connected direct to the motherboard and do not recognize the iPod as well as those that are. Reset the iPod each time you connect it to another port.
When restoring the iPod, put it into disk mode first.

Has anyone been able to sync new i-phone with a 2004 Volvo XC 90 with dealer installed bluetooth. New software download says it is now discoverable but pairing failed.

Is "NILESH" the name of your computer or perhaps the name of your iPhone? What are you trying to achieve by connecting your iPhone to your PC via Bluetooth?
Only certain Bluetooth profiles are supported by the iPhone, the list of supported profiles is listed here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3647
If you are attempting to use another profile then an unsupported message is to be expected.

  • Sound Problems with my iPod

    Hello!
I've got a problem with my iPod, bought last year in November, so with a video.
Today when I was going home from school I was going to listen to my iPod, but I noticed that it was a strage sound in it. Only the left side of my headphones got any good sound, and the right did not get much sound at all. It also sounded like it was electricity going on in the right one.
Something electrical it was at least
But I tested my headphones at home, no problems with them, I got the same problem with my iPod with earphones I got at home
What shall I do to get rid of this problem?
I have a Windows Computer(soon will be changing to a iMac) if it would help anything

    nevermind, it's the headphones.

  • Still the same problem with Live update 2

I still have the same problem with Live update 2.
I've downloaded newer Bios update but it's 13 MB... it's obvious that I can not have
in floppy disk and I'm a little bit  uncomfortable of updating bios from CD-rom .
But what else can I do, besides updating Bios to get out of this Live update from start-up.
    Should I clear CMOS?

13mb are you really sure ?
    go here instead.
    http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/bios/bos/spt_bos_detail.php?UID=436&kind=1
the download file is around 300kb.
make sure you get the right file.
you did not specify if you got L or ILRS.
    also dont use live update.
    get drivers from http://www.nvidia.com instead.

I recently upgraded to iTunes 11.1.5 and now my iPod Nano is not recognized in iTunes. I also upgraded my iPhone 5s to iOS 7.1. i Tunes on my computer does recognize my iPhone. What is the problem with my iPod Nano not being recognized?

I would think, Twins1995, that if we are having the problem, others are as well. Hopefully, Apple will shortly issue a follow-up software release to fix the problem. Or is that just wishful thinking on my part.
It would be helpful, if there were some kind of work-around in the interim, so we can use our devices. Pretty frustrating when you consider that all of the hardware and software is produced by Apple.

  • Just upgraded macbook to Snow Leopard, and now itunes won't recognize my iphone.  I tried turning all off, and on.  I have the newest version of itunes.  Will I have to reset my iphone (and also ipod touch?), and if so, does it mean I lose anything?

I just upgraded macbook to SnowLeopard 10.6.3 and now itunes won't recognize my iphone.  I tried turning everything off and restarting.  I have the latest version of itunes.  If I have to reset the phone (and ipod touch), what does that mean?  Will I lose anything? How long will it take?  thanks

Start iTunes.  Make sure you really are running the version you think you are.  Sometimes people end up with two copies, different versions.

You say you are running Snow Leopard 10.6.3.  That version will not run the latest iTunes which requires 10.6.8  If you need iTunes 10.7 you have to be running 10.6.8
