Conencting to BI System

HI friends,
I`m working in webdynpro java. Actually my tasks is to diplay a barchart in webdynpro application. The data for the chart is to get from the BI system using query.
So i want to know how to connect the BI system with webdynpro.Plz help me out.Thanks in advance.

Hi,
For running a query you need to run RRW3_GET_QUERY_VIEW_DATA RFC on the BW system.
Input parameters are:
info provider, query, view_id and query parameters (ask your BW personnel for exact values).
The output you need will be in the following two output tables: E_CELL_DATA & E_AXIS_DATA (you'll need to combine the data from those two tables)

Currently, when I execute the Scales to check for incompleteness on a Customs Document, if I encounter an issue with a product master, the internal product master number is displayed. However, the document may encompass a minimum of 50 line items. I have not been able to locate in configuration where I can display the external product number (ie the part from the feeder system) or an online transaction within GTS. Has anyone encountered this and know of a cross reference?

I'm not really sure to understand your question but you can use SM04 and AL08 to see the list of users conencted in you system and which transaction they are currently using.

RF device for Yard management

Hi Experts
I have configured yard management in a dev system and could perform all the transations. I am able to do the RF relevant transaction on desktop.
I need to know, how the RF device is connected so that to perform the transactions on RF device and ensure updation in system.
Please provide the information on - Where to get the device, How to conenct it with system, any other technical data relevant to RF device.

What is consisting in your system landscape? Yard Management as far as i know is part of SAP EWM. What is the RFID middleware coming into your landscape?
I dont think direct device integration is possible. Always RFID middleware ( device integrator and business management layer, SAP AII ) will come for integration. Backend integration will only be possible with SAP Exchange Infrastructure. SAP EWM avails direct integration with SAP Auto Identification Infrastructure.

Can I use our PC with existing SCXI setup (conencted to a PC by PCI-MIO-16E4) and use one labview application to communicate with FP and SCXI systems at the same time?

We have an existing PC with SCXI setup. can i plug in a PCI-485/2 card connected to a FP-1001 network, and get both systems to be utilized in a single labview VI?

Yes, you can utilize both sets of resources (SCXI and FieldPoint) at the same time from the same VI.
If you were using the SCXI RS-485 interface, the SCXI and FieldPoint system would have to be on separate serial ports. Beyond that, there should be no real restrictions on accessing both of them.

WD application conenction to 4.7 system

Hi all,
I pretty much think the answer is yes but please confirm. Can I create JCo connections to 4.7 system and let my WD model talk to 4.7 systems?
My doubt is whether it a model can talk to 4.7(WAS 6.2) or whether is ECC5.0 and above

As answered by urself .. you can create JCO connection to 4.7 and use models to talk to WAS using JCO connections.

After upgrading to itunes 7.3.2 system sound does not work

I recently upgraded my itunes to 7.3.2 and the sound worked for a short time. it then began to cut on and off until ceasing to work completely after a day or so. I have run diagnostics and my computer can produce sound, but not in any programs or any of the system sounds. i reinstalled windows xp and the sound worked, but when i installed itunes again the sound once again stopped completely. i have checked all the drivers, codecs, hardware etc. and they seem to be in order. what is going on?

I really struggled with this one and my IT people couldn't help. They suggested that I add my secure corporate website to the Java Exceptions Sites, and use the Java client, but that didn't work. I tried the CITRIX Native CLient (ICA Client) and that didn't work either. So, I searched my Mac for all of the instances of CitrixICAClient, or anything else with ICA in it. I then deleted all of those files, shut down Safari, rebooted my computer and tried again to log into my corporate site using the Native Client conenction option. I remembered from years ago, that the first time you try to connect using the native client, that Citrix plugin is downloaded. THat's exactly what happened and I haven't had any more problems. So apparently, you have to clean up a little adn make sure that any "old" citrix products are removed.

Problem while creating WebAS ABAP Technical System in WAS 7

Hi All,
I have installed WAS 7 and EP 7 SP9 as part of SR2 Installation. I had checked the option configure local SLD. I have to create and SLD to conenct EP to ECC 6.
When I was creating the Technical System, at the last step i found out that ECC 6 was not available in the installed products(only ECC 5 was available). So i Upgraded CR Content to SAP_CR 3.2 and CIM to 1.5.20. When I am trying to create the Technical System again I do find ECC 6.0 in the Installed Products but there are no corresponding Installed Components for ECC 6.(The same exists for ECC 5). as a result I am not able to create the Technical System as atleast one component has to be selected. I have tried re importing the CIM Model and cr content again but its not working.
When I select SLD Data Supplier in Visual Admin I get the following error message.
Error While loading service SLD Data Supplier
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sap.sldserv.vaclient.ClientManagement
Is there any solution to this. Points will be given.

HT201263 ok i pod is disabled but when i put it in recovery mode and it does all the step you have in the above sentece at the top of the pg of itunes it says updateing system and 3 hrs remaining(why's dat) n it also goes bck 2 the main screem(y's that

I have an ipod touch and i put it in recovery mode and to reset it and it does all the main process when i hold the honme button and for 10 sec and then put conenct it to itunes.................and it does the process and its in recovery mode but at the top of the aple pg it has updateding/downloading system ( remaining time 3 hours) why does it says that and another thing and when it startes recoverying from itunes the i pod cuts on by its self and goes back to the main screem, by its self i have touch anything on the ipod .................why does it does that and what i can do to get my ipod back on track and working and i pod is in disabled mode( connect to itunes) i did that but no hlp so what can i do

Cannot create source system in RSA1

I have a BI System:
Netweaver 7.0 unicode
BI_CONT 7.03
Windows 2003 server
SAP_BASIS: 700_016
SAP_BW: 700_18
I have an ECC 6.0 system:
Netweaver 7.0 non-unicode
Windows 2003 server
SAP_BASIS: 700_015
I go into RSA1 on my BI system
Click on Source Sytems
right-click on SAP and choose Create
I then fill-in the necessary ionformation and click on the Green check.
I am asked to login as an admin user.
I receive a popup sating that user already exist in source system, I choose Continue.
I receive a popup saying RFC destination already exists in source system. I choose USE.
I get this error at this stage: Error in source system JCB275.
So, I check RFC conenctions, they all work fine.
I finally find an error in SM21 in my ECC 6.0 system:
Run-time error "DYNPRO_SEND_IN_BACKGROUND" occurred
short dump generated.
So, I go into ST22 and try to get more info on the short dump (I only copy/pasted some info):

solution found:
config needs to be opened on source system ,if not, a popup tries to tell you that config needs to be opened, but it cannot because the frontend is not active on this connection.

ORA-12519: too many new conenctions

Hello,
with 10.2 XE the number of PROCESSORS is limited to 40, the Problem exists with the Listener that it quickly starts to refuse new connections with ORA-12519, even when the maximum number of connects at the same time is not reached. At least this is the situation as I understand it from metalink 424566.995: the problem is, that the listener counts new connections, but only seldomly gets the number of closed conenctions from the instance.
For my application with connection pools this is not a big issue, however I have a ANT script which installs the application and this unfortunatelly triggers the problem often, because connections are not recycled.
I wonder if it is "legal" and "possible" to increase processrs/sessions or better configure the listner to not reject those connections. It does not look like it is allowing me 50 connections anyway.
Interesting enough lsnctrl (verbose display mode) does not show any rejects (but I see them in the logfile) and I cant see a way to read listeners' concurrency limit?

In this case I have 18 conenctions in 4 seconds where the last one was rejected.

The system does not enforce a limit to the number of processes or sessions. You may change the parameters to meet your needs.
Do note that increasing either parameter will use more memory. The amount will be based on the application requirements so it's not possible to give a blanket answer to "how many before we use up the 1GB RAM limit?"
To determine your current per-process memory use, I recomend reading Tom Kyte's "Expert Oracle Database Architecture ..." (http://www.apress.com/book/bookDisplay.html?bID=10008) which will explain the numbers derived from the simple SQL statements.

System won't boot when eSata drive connected

I have an eSata SSD drive connected for fast foto-editing.
The system halts at the bios/Toshiba screen.
Disconnecting and rebooting and recoonection the SSD drive after the bios screen has passed works.
How can I make the bios to continue, with the eSata SSD drive (intel 80GB X25) connected.
The drive is conencted by eSata port AND uses a USB port for power.
(The drive is contained in an NexStar-3 casing)

R/3 ECC6.0 connection as a source system to BI 7.0 For IDES system

Hi Friends,
I want to create a R/3 source system conenction in IDES
say Example
My IDES server For <b>R/3 ECC 6.0 is XYZ800</b> and client is 800.
My IDES server For <b>BI 7.0 also XYZ800</b> and client is 800.
in ECC 6.0 IDES, both BI and R/3 is same server.
In this case how to establish connection bn R/3 ECC 6.0 & BW(BI7.0)
is it possible to create a R/3 source system in IDES for this senario,
then please help me....

and I searched in SDN postings too, but I can't get my answer.

In your Case no need to create any Source system.
I also got same scenarion and i created connection with BI self Connection.
and i am able to replicate all data Source. in this case R/3 and BW both residing on same client and same server.
Just create BI self connection.
then Restore if it is not giving any error then activate that with Datasource.

Does child systems with 3 clients need 3 RFCs?

One quick question
Does child system that has 3 clients need 3 RFC conenctions to connect to CUA?
We have ECC with 3 clients. When I go in one client SM59 and create RFC connection to CUA, everything is good.
When I go in SM59 of other client and I create RFC(same as logical name of CUA) , it says it already exist since I created in my previous client
Any thoughts? I know from CUA I would need 3 RFCs for the 3 clients but from the child do I need 3 RFCs? If yes, its not allowing.

Yes, normally the logical system name is used and having this the same as the RFC destination helps.
But this does name a type of "name space" implication...
Perhaps you want to consider where you have your master system and use client side security (the authorization group concept for S_RFC_ADM, and S_ICF type DEST to call them?
Even if you restrict RFC, it will always need to do that which is is designed to do. Client side security makes sense in cases such as CUA.

Assignment of One Solution ManagerDiagnostics Agent to Multiple SAP Systems

Dear Experts,
according to the Powerpoint presentation attached to SAP Note 1365123, one single Solution Manager Diagnostics Agent can be used for E2E RCA with multiple SAP systems running on its physical host.
I have installed one Diagnostics Agent on a server where three ABAP systems are running. Each ABAP system on this server has been installed under an alias (i.e. all these SAP systems are reachable under the same IP address. No virtual servers with individual IP addresses have been defined.). I want to configure each ABAP system for E2E RCA. When running the Managed Systems Setup procedure for E2E RCA, I am not able to assign the diagnostics agent to more than one of these ABAP systems - after the first system has been configured for E2E RCA, the entry for the Diagnostics Agent on this particular server is no longer available in the drop-down list of Diagnostics Agents when configuring the next system.
Is my understanding of the presentation mentioned above wrong, or am I missing a trick here? How can I assign the Diagnostics Agent to all three SAP systems that are running on the same physical host?
Details about the environment:
SAP Solution Manager: SAP EHP1 for Solution Manager 7.0 (SP Level 24)
Diagnostics agent version : 7.01.7.0.20100326100205

Have you followed all the rules?
Rule 1
Consider the diagnostic agent as a standard SAP system
Rule 2
Install one Diagnostic Agent per host (Physical or Virtual) (You mentioned you don't have virtual hosts)
Rule 3
Each Diagnostic Agent gets mapped to the SMSY repository using the server name key
Rule 4
Do not install a Diagnostic agent on a host that only run databases or SAP Central Services
Rule 5
An Agent can only conenct to one single Solution Manager System
If you install multiple Diagnostic Agents on the same host, each one needs to be connecting to a different Soltuion Manager system
Rule 6
Choose the adequate diagnostic agent installer/version
Rule 7
In a switch over scenario diagnostic agent must move with their respective virtual host and managed components
These are the rules attached to SAP Note 1365123. You need to comply to the rules.
If you have multiple agents ont he same host, then they need to conenct to different solution manager systems....according to the rules. One agent per physical host is one of the rules...specifically rule #2. This is my take, and it seems pretty clear here.

SNC parameters in Connector properties of System in EP.

Can anyone explain the parameters that deal with SNC in the connector categories when we create a new System in EP.
I need to conenct to an R/3 backend system using SNC via portal. Currently i can aces that system using SNC but via the SAP Launch Pad.

My cells do contain values so that's no problem. It's a very simple setup where I have 2x6 cells with a couple of parameters that are to be used by all my connections in the workbook.
Using vb code to update the "forgotten" parameters inside the connections was something I also was thinking could be a solution. Just felt it would be a shame when the functionality for what I'm trying to do cleary has been built
in to excel in a very simple way through the UI.
Before I go down the vb route I'm gonna see if I can find more info about any fixes for this bug in excel, maybe a hot patch or something like that. (I can't speak vb so building such a thing is going to take a while for me as I have to take bits
and pieces I find around the web to get stuff working) :)
