Config Template to create/modify Work Schedules
I created Excel Configuration Template to gather Tech Information from users to create work schedules:
Config Template included PSA Groupings, the ESG Groupings, the Calendar Groupings, the Daily Work Schedules, Breaks, the Periodic Work Schedules etc.
When I presented this config Template to the user, sounded overwhelmed e,g, had questions like what holiday calendar grouping or PSA grouping.
What information or form of information can I expect from the user so I can interpret to fill the above fields?
When we are gathering the information from the user, its usually the business terms that we use rather than the SAP terminology. For example, if we have to create a work schedule (in SAP language) we will ask the user what are the working patterns in the organisation which involves working time, working days etc., holiday calendar, breaks etc followed by the organisation basis which we create our DWS and PWS. The groupings part is something for the HCM consultant to decide and users will not be able to provide an input on that.

Are you all using BES or BIS? If you're not on a BES then you can use a program called Google Sync. If you all have a gmail account you can use this program to wirelessly sync between your BlackBerry calendar and Gmail calendar. Read more about it here

Error "No entry in table T551A" while creating set work schedule rule.
Dear Team,
I am getting following error while creating set work schedule rule.
Error "No entry in table T551A" for key 22 BBB [ here BBBB is my period work schedule]
The actual prob is i configured all the necessary steps but when i tried to create work schedule rule im getting this error. Also, in the same screen there is one field DWS grouping initially value in this is 00 and gread mode. But after giving ES grp, holiday calander ID etc etc when i try to save that screen that value is chainging to 22 from 00.
My ES grop=2 and PS grop=2 . Is that value is my ES and PS grouping..?? or some other thing.
Request you to please help me out.

1. Group Personnel Subareas for the Daily Work Schedule
2. Group Personnel Subareas for the Work Schedule
3. Define Break Schedules
4. Define Daily Work Schedules
5. Define Period Work Schedules
6. Define Employee Subgroup Groupings
7. Define Groupings for the Public Holiday Calendar
8. Set Work Schedule Rules and Work Schedules
All of them belong to TIME MANAGEMENT. I think you miss some steps above.

How to create/maintain individual work schedule instead of employee subgr.

We want to create a work schedule for every employee as they may come in any shift.we are implimenting negative time mgt.

Y u Want to go with Individual WSR its impossible to configure.
Do one thing Create all types of shifts and in Period Work Schedule normally u assign it in normal rotation.
Now In your scenario maintain for each employees IT2051 in which his WSR from IT0007 will be maintained directly. Now when an employee changes from the proposed shift then you can directly maintain in IT2051 his actual shift.
Now daily Time administrator should run a report where in he must have all employees actual shift and tell him to directly upload each employee's IT2051.

I am trying to configure a DWS and PWS for a given plant. I am aware from a different network thread that this is a 11 step process. I have created the following:

DWS = 1
Breaks were defined
Created DWS of 1stI, 2ndI, and WNDI (ist shift, 2nd shift, and weekend shift)

How do I define the rules to determine variant for monthly work schedule rule generation??
I am aware that X stands for that it is relevant to the calendar and that 1 = Monday - 7 = Sunday.

Doubt Regarding Creating Work Schedules
Hello People,
I have recently started taking SAP HR training and currently in Time mgt module...I am stuck up in the creation of work schedules.
I have created a scenario /requirement where i have got 3 shifts in a day and i want my production people to work 24/7 in the factory as i dont want the manufacturing machine to be idle.I have created 3 shifts namely
Shift 1- 7 am - 3 pm
Shift 2- 3 pm - 11 pm
Shift 3- 11 pm - 7 am next day
I dont want the machine to be idle on any day ,so i want people to keep on continously working on the machine.Each shift has got 2 breaks.There are 3 batches of people(say 30) who are in the prod dept.
Batch 1 will work from Mon - Sat(sun day off)
Batch 2 will work from Tue - Sun (Mon day off)
Batch 3 will work from Wed - Mon(Tue day off)
Remember all the 3 batches will have one day off.i have not gone more further in time mgt(so wont be aware of shift planning ,dynamic work schedules) so will it be possible to create thework schedules for the above requirement.
Please advise me how to create DWS,Period Work Schedules and how many should i create.If anybody can clear the basic concept of creating /how to create the work schedules .

As Ravi said, I'd like to explain in more detail:
3 DWS needed as follows:
Shift 1: 7 am - 3 pm
Shift 2: 3 pm - 11 pm
Shift 3: 11 pm - 7 am next day
Also create a DWS for the OFF day.
Then apply these DWS' in PWS as:
001- Shift A Shift A ShiftA Shift A Shift A Shift A OFF
002- OFF Shift B Shift B ShiftB Shift B Shift B Shift B
003- Shift C OFF ShiftC Shift C Shift C Shift C Shift C
While creating Work schedule Rules, we need to assign the 'Start point in PWS' field as 001 keeping 'Ref. date' field as any day which comes as Monday
Use this Period work schedule in creating your Work schedule rule and generate the WSRs.

Work schedule display in capacity leveling cm25

In our company we have created a work schedule (tcode OP4A) and have associated to a work center (tcode IR02).
However, capacity leveling (tcode CM25) doesn't display the work schedule associated to our workers in the graphical planning table.
Do you have any idea how to solve this problem?

Time Management - Work Schedule /Absence Quota / Part-time quota generation

Need your help!
We have a requirement where we need to create distinct work schedules for each irregular / part-time work pattern and the number of work patterns we have identified is more than 1000. We are using report RPTQTA00 to generate quota. We have used work contract, employee sub-group & employee payscale group in the QUOMO feature to get the base entitlement picked up. We have defined base entitlement for the full time workschedules with 37.0 / 38.5 hours and there is a reduction rule which reduce the absence entitlement for part time employees as per the employement percentage in IT0007. Now we have a scenario where we have created a work schedule with different no of hours for each day of week (M-4, T-6, W-4, TH-6, F-4, S-OFF, SU - OFF); this work schedule is treated as full time work pattern by the system and quota is generated as full time work schedule refering to the QUOMO settings, but as per my client employees with this work schedule have reduced hours of working hours (24 hours, not 37.0 or 38.5 hours)and hence it should be treated as part-time employees, and the quota generated should be proportionately reduced. I have very limited scope to create any ESG or PSG as we do not have any distinct emplyee sub-groups maintained for full-time and part-time employees and the project has already gone-live with payroll/time. It is worth mentioning over here that we are recording absence through ESS and it takes into account the daily planned working time maintained in IT0007, so we are very particular to keep it as accurate as possible.
I would really appreciate if somebody can please suggest any possible solution for the above issue, or guide me on what would be the best way to tackle it. I can give more details in case anybody need to have a better understanding of the issue to suggest a solution.

Yes, i have found the solution to it. I do not know whether it will fit into your situation or not, but i got two solutions for my issue mentioned above, please check it may help:
1) To use capacity utilization field in IT0008 to get the FTE hours and defining the reduction rule of absence quota based on the capacity utilazation percentage.
2) There are three user exits available in the standard report RPTQTA00, i have used one of them to write my own rules for the calculations (deduction rule)

Th shift timings are a bit odd.
Timings 11:30 to 18:00 is the time when employee has to work at his Office
and 21:00 to 22:00 he has to work from home
Please make a note the above given timings is for a single day.

I want to create a work schedule with PSG grouping for workschedule as 70, I have tried to copy an existing- none are available under the same grouping.
I have tried using the create button though is creates a dws with grouping as 00, which shows as a non editable field.

In Time Mgt. when creating the Work Schedule Rule, how to decide the input for field "Rule for Day Types", Pls explain also the Selection Rule for Day types in the node TM-> Work Sch -> Day types -> Define Selection Rules.I am just learning this topic and see this thread still open, so let me try to help.
1-Holiday Class(HC)
In IMG->Time Management->Work Schedules->Define Public Holiday Classes,we assign a value to public holidays like this:
Holiday Religion Holiday class
Christmas Day 1
Here Holiday class value range is: blank-working day; 1-level1 holiday;2-level2 holiday...etc. By assigning a holiday to a holiday class we can classify holidays.
2-Day Types(DT)
In IMG->Time Management->Work Schedules->Day Types->Define Day Types, we define day types like:
Blank Blank Work/paid
1 O/pd Off/paid
2 O/upd Off/unpaid
3 O/sp Off/special day
3-Selection Rules
In IMG->Time Management->Work Schedules->Day Types->Define Selection Rules, we have such settings:
Weekday Sat. Sun.
with holiday class b123456789 b123456789 b123456789
Gives day type _1_1211311 _1_1111111 _1_1111111
Here, b123456789 is HC and 11211311 is day types(I use '_' for blank).
In Weekday part,first column wo got HC=b and DT='_'. That means, in calendar if today is a working day(HC=b) then the employee is paid for working(DT=Blank(Work/Paid)).
In 5th column, we got HC=4 and DT=2. That means, in calendar if today is a level4 holiday then the employee can has a day-off but not paid(DT=2(Off/Unpaid)).

Period work schedule for workmens
hi all ,
I am working on TM and have a requirement that there are workmens in compony having 3 shifts 7 to 1 1 to 8 10 to 5.but for them sunday is not weekly off fixed .when they complete there any shift e.g. morning shift for 6 days then they get a weekly off.this goes on continuing for a month .which shift should be assigned to workmen that department head decides on 1 day of the month .please share ur ideas on this.how to create period work schedule for them? how to configure this in SAP .

than carry with the same configuration of DWS there in calendar their will be weekly off as per the policy
but when the problem araises when an employee and employee finishes her work for 6 days and continues for another six days
than actually she has to take on leave but she take two leaves
so in 2001 in the PWS it will be working day for her
so try to create a substitute and when ever this kind of situation araises
the end user will updates infotype 2003
so we can change the work schedule of the employee -
