thanxs,
but now i am getting exception like
BINDING.JCA-12563 Exception occured when binding was invoked. Exception occured during invocation of JCA binding: "JCA Binding execute of Reference operation 'Put' failed due to: JCA Binding Component connection issue. JCA Binding Component is unable to create an outbound JCA (CCI) connection. ftpDemo:put [ Put_ptt::Put(body) ] : The JCA Binding Component was unable to establish an outbound JCA CCI connection due to the following issue: BINDING.JCA-12510 JCA Resource Adapter location error. Unable to locate the JCA Resource Adapter via .jca binding file element <connection-factory/> The JCA Binding Component is unable to startup the Resource Adapter specified in the <connection-factory/> element: location='eis/Ftp/PrashantFtp'. The reason for this is most likely that either 1) the Resource Adapters RAR file has not been deployed successfully to the WebLogic Application server or 2) the '<jndi-name>' element in weblogic-ra.xml has not been set to eis/Ftp/PrashantFtp. In the last case you will have to add a new WebLogic JCA connection factory (deploy a RAR). Please correct this and then restart the Application Server Please make sure that the JCA connection factory and any dependent connection factories have been configured with a sufficient limit for max connections. Please also make sure that the physical connection to the backend EIS is available and the backend itself is accepting connections. ". The invoked JCA adapter raised a resource exception. Please examine the above error message carefully to determine a resolution.
plz help.
regards
prashant

How to use Wallets for FTP Adapter
Hi,
Can someone point to a document that shows how we can make use of wallets for FTP Adapter.
ThanksHi,
When you configure the Connection Factory for FTP Adapter in Admin Console, provide the following values for the attributes like the hostname, username, password, port and the path of remote location as where
you want to write the file in remote Server i.e., ftpAbsolutePathBegin. Please fill this
attribute with the path like /soa/ftp/file (example path). If you are writing to a remote FTP server you need to create a Connection factory for that as above.
Please try this and let me know...
Thanks,

ThanksNot sure you can do it just for file but
login to EM and navigate to SOA -> soa_infra
right-click on soa_infra and select logs -> log configuration
expand oracle.soa
you will see
oracle.soa.adapter
set this to the level you desire

Configuration for JMS Adapter Sensor action and JMS Queue sensor action..!!
Hi,
Id like my BPEL process to send an XML message to JMS on Websphere,I was able to do this through a JMS adapter.But I would more like to add sensors into my process which would really do the same thing - send an XML message to JMS Q.
Now I understand that there are two ways to do this,JMS Queue and JMS Adapter - thorugh bpel sensor action.
I am able to use JMS Queue and it works fine , but adds its own xml tags to the message,Is there any way I could send only my xml payload as a message to the queue??
Also could any1 tell me what is the configuration for JMS Adapter sensor action?
Any suggestions how do I go about it??Hey Anirudh,
Thanx for the response :-)
All these hold good when I have an AQ adaptor right,But the thing is I want to send a message to a 'JMS' queue with out actually using an adapter configuration wizard and everythng..So I resolved to JMS queue Sensor action..Heres the xml snippet from the sensorAction.xml files which is generated..
<actions targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS_Logging" xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor" xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS_Logging" xmlns:pc="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">
<action name="JMS_LogEntry" publishName="" publishType="JMSQueue" enabled="true" filter="" publishTarget="jms/L_Queue">
<property name="JMSConnectionFactory">jms/L_QueueCF</property>
<sensorName>ActivitySensor_JMS</sensorName>
</action>
</actions>
This works grt and adds messages to the queue..But adds its own header info according to the sensor.xsd loacted at the Oracle_home\bpel\system\xmllib\ folder.
Right now the XML message added to the Queue is:-
<actionData xmlns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor">
<header>
<sensor sensorName="ActivitySensor_JMS" classname="oracle.tip.pc.services.reports.dca.agents.BpelActivitySensorAgent" kind="activity" target="AddLEntr
y" xmlns:pc="http://xmlns.oracle.com/bpel/sensor" xmlns:ns2="http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry" xmlns:tns="http://xmlns.oracle.com/Test_JMS">
<activityConfig evalTime="completion">
<variable outputDataType="string" outputNamespace="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" target="$WriteL_Produce_Message_InputVariable/L_Entry/ns2:L_Entry/ns2:LCName"/>
</activityConfig>
</sensor>
<instanceId>950016</instanceId>
<processName>Test_JMS</processName>
<processRevision>v2009_04_15__40833</processRevision>
<domain>default</domain>
<timestamp>2009-04-15T11:21:23.596-04:00</timestamp>
<midTierInstance>app01.ulrhome.com:9700</midTierInstance>
</header>
<payload>
<activityData>
<activityType>scope</activityType>
<evalPoint>completion</evalPoint>
<durationInSeconds>0.011</durationInSeconds>
<duration>PT0.011S</duration>
</activityData>
<variableData>
<dataType>12</dataType>
<data>
<ns0:LCName xmlns:ns0="LC_Test1http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry">LC_Test1</ns0:LCName>
</data>
<queryName/>
<target>$WriteL_Produce_Message_InputVariable/L_Entry/ns2:L_Entry/ns2:LCName</target>
<updaterName>AddL_Entry</updaterName>
<updaterType>scope</updaterType>
</variableData>
</payload>
</actionData>
My requirement is that I need to add a sensor to the BPEL process which posts 'Only my payload message to the JMS queue'..
What I would want the message in the Queue to be is : -
<data>
<ns0:LCName xmlns:ns0="LC_Test1http://www.ulrhome.com/2008/10/L_Entry">LC_Test1</ns0:LCName>
</data>
Also while creating a Sensor action I get another option as JMS Adaptor,I am not sure of what value to type in this wizard..Heres what I keyed in..M sure this is not right..Cos it dosnt work :-)
<action name="SensorAction_JMS" publishName="" publishType="JMSAdapter" enabled="true" filter="" publishTarget="jms/LoggingQueue">
<property name="JMSConnectionName">Log</property>
</action>
</actions>
Could any 1 tel me what values are the right values..And does JMS Adapter mean that I have to create a JMS Apator in the project and give that connection name as a Value..
I am not finding sufficiant Documentation for 'JMS Adapter' so M clueless and right now any help will be appriciated :-)

CharacterSet Property for FTP adapter in SOA 10.1.3.5
Hi All,
I am facing an issue while setting a jca property for FTP adapter. The property I am setting is to sync Read files of UTF-8 type of characterSet. Hence in jca properties I am setting the following value:
<jca:operation
FileType="ascii"
CharacterSet="UTF-8"
LogicalDirectory="directory"
InteractionSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPReadInteractionSpec"
LogicalArchiveDirectory="FileArchiveDirectory"
DeleteFile="true"
FileName="fileName"
OpaqueSchema="true"
UseRemoteArchive="true">
I want this changes to be done since the FTP adapter is not able to read files with the file name having special characters of type UTF-8.
When I execute this I am getting the following error:
[ SynchRead_ptt::SynchRead(Empty,opaque) ] - WSIF JCA Execute of operation 'SynchRead' failed due to: Could not instantiate InteractionSpec oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPReadInteractionSpec due to: Error while setting JCA WSDL Property.
Property setCharacterSet is not defined for oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPReadInteractionSpec
Please verify the spelling of the property.
I am trying this in SOA 10.1.3.5. can you please provide me a solution for this issue.Hi,
I am facing the same scenario.
FTP adapter is picking file as opq and sending as email attachment.But the adapter not able to resolve special characters like Á....In the received payload of the adapter Á is replaced by ?......
Can anyone please help me out or suggest a work around.Thanks in advance..
Thanks & Regards,

OSB error while generating business service for FTP adapter Sync Get File
Hi All
I am trying to generate a business service from SOA Suite JCA FTP adapter Sync Get File, but i am getting this exception for no reasons (Rest operations list file, get file and put file are working)
Invalid JCA transport endpoint configuration, exception: java.lang.NullPointerException Unknown ALSB Conflict.
Is this a bug in eclipse, can any body help me. Thanks
Sorry Forgot to mention eclipse version...
Eclipse Platform
Version: 3.6.2
Build id: M20110210-1200Ok,
bcoz of this issue, i had to code the entire interface in OSB console. It runs fine in OSB console (i was able to test it successfully).
Is this a bug in eclipse or only i am facing this issue? Has anybody tried to create a business service from JCA FTP Get Synchronous jca file?
<adapter-config name="FTPReadMOMFileOnRMSDB" adapter="FTP Adapter"
wsdlLocation="../wsdl/FTPReadMOMFileOnRMSDB.wsdl"
xmlns="http://platform.integration.oracle/blocks/adapter/fw/metadata">
<connection-factory location="eis/ftp/RMSDBFtpAdapter" />
<endpoint-interaction portType="SynchRead_ptt"
operation="SynchRead">
<interaction-spec
className="oracle.tip.adapter.ftp.outbound.FTPReadInteractionSpec">
<property name="DeleteFile" value="true" />
<property name="PhysicalDirectory" value="/MOMFiles/output" />
<property name="FileName" value="*" />
<property name="FileType" value="binary" />
</interaction-spec>
</endpoint-interaction>
</adapter-config>
One more doubt? The PhysicalArchiveDirectory path can be on the FTP server something like: /MOMFiles/archive. Or do i have to use the Put operation to move it to /MOMFiles/archive directory. Currently OSB console and eclipse do not accept FTP path for this parameter and want me to specify a local directory on server. Thanks -
Issue in SFTP configuration in FTP adapter (Oracle SOA 10.1.3.3)
Hi,
We are trying to connect FTP adapter to SFTP server and have made all the necessary configuration changes required to $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/oc4j_soa/application-deployments/default/FtpAdapter/oc4j-ra.xml. Following properties are updated in this file.
<config-property name="host" value="sftp.server.ip.address"/>
<config-property name="port" value="22"/>
<config-property name="username" value="userID"/>
<config-property name="password" value="passwd"/>
<config-property name="useSftp" value="true"/>
<config-property name="authenticationType" value="publickey"/>
<config-property name="preferredKeyExchangeAlgorithm" value="diffie-hellman-group1-sha1"/>
<config-property name="preferredCompressionAlgorithm" value="none"/>
<config-property name="preferredDataIntegrityAlgorithm" value="hmac-md5"/>
<config-property name="preferredPKIAlgorithm" value="ssh-rsa"/>
<config-property name="privateKeyFile" value="/home0103/vchander/sftptest/id_rsa"/>
<config-property name="preferredCipherSuite" value="blowfish-cbc"/>
<config-property name="transportProvider" value="socket"/>
Restarted the SOA server after configuring these settings. Created a BPEL process using this FTP adapter to pick a CSV file from a SFTP location and deployed the process successfully on the BPEL server. But FTP adapter is not picking the file from SFTP location and in BPEL log.xml we can see following errors:

It seems all SFTP server related settings are proper but still logs are saying it’s an issue with SFTP server settings. Also I am able to do SFTP successfully from UNIX prompt but the same settings are not working for SOA suite.
I would appreciate any inputs on the same.
Thanks in Advance,
UdayHi,
I am herewith attaching the complete log exceptions that are getting caught in log.xml for SFTP configuration.

What is the max file limit for FTP adapter that uses FileIoInteractionSpec
Hi,
I know that Oracle provided some new features in 10.1.3.4 using which we can use the file and ftp adapter to move files in a more efficient way
http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/E12524_01/relnotes.1013/e12523/adapters.htm#CHDGFAAB
Essentially it involves modifying the WSDL to use the new InteractionSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileIoInteractionSpec"
Now my question is, what is the file size limit which can be transferred using this.
I have tried with 20 mb file, it works. But I want to know the upper limit.
Thanks,
AmitTried with 31 mb file.
It successfully delivers the file but....
The instance never completes successfully in the BPEL Console. If I open the audit tab, it shows the following message
There is a system exception while performing the BPEL instance, the reason is "JTA transaction is not present or the transaction is not in active state. So does anybody know how to get over this.
I understand that sync read is a sync operation, so obviously it was going to timeout, as this transfer took around 4 minutes for me. But then, isnt this a bug from Oracle's side -
Login Module configuration for soap adapter ?
Hi Guys,
I have configured XISOAPAdapter for client certificate Authentication and i have created 1443 as the HTTPS port on the ABAP stack and defined this port in the instance profile.
Under SSL provider i have selected 50101 as the HTTPS port and the user mapping to the certificate works fine and i was able to login directly.
https://host:50101/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet - I was able to login with the user mapping to certifcate.
but when i try https://host:1443/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet - it is asking for the basic password authentication and the automatic login with the certifcate is not working. Our customer will be using this url to send messages to soap adapter.
under policy configurations for XISOAPAdapter, i have defined only clientcertificateloginmodule and define the rule as Rule1.getUserFrom=wholecert.
any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
SriniHi,
We also experienced that limitation when a vendor is connecting to our XI SOAP Sender Adapter. It is asking for basic username/password. What we did was to create a Generic XI user with a password on it and use SSL authentication at the same time. Our Scenario was PI --> XI --> SAP R3, with the PI system using an HTTP RFC destination with a Basic Logon and Active SSL option to connect to the same system as yours https://host:portnumber/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet
Let me know if this helped...

XSLT Mapping with Dynamic Configuration for Mail Adapter
Hi Guys,
I am wondering if somebody can help me please.
I have a requirement in which I need to pick up the file from FTP and email it to the user as an attachment with the same file name and content.
I know it is possible via 3 method either by deploying adapter module or via XSLT or JAVA Mapping.
I preferred XSLT Mapping because it is easier to use and we don't need to compile the code like JAVA Mapping.
I have done the XSLT Mapping but the only problem I am facing is that how to copy the file name which we get it from Dynamic Configuration to the Mail ContentDisposition.
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<xsl:stylesheet version="1.0"
xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform"
xmlns:map="java:java.util.Map"
xmlns:dyn="java:com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfiguration"
xmlns:key="java:com.sap.aii.mapping.api.DynamicConfigurationKey">
<xsl:output indent="no" />
<xsl:param name="inputparam"/>
<xsl:template match="/">
<!-- change dynamic configuration -->
<xsl:variable name="dynamic-conf"
select="map:get($inputparam, 'DynamicConfiguration')" />
<xsl:variable name="dynamic-key"
select="key:create('http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File', 'FileName')" />
<xsl:variable name="dynamic-value"
select="dyn:get($dynamic-conf, $dynamic-key)" />
<xsl:variable name="dummy"
select="dyn:put($dynamic-conf, $dynamic-key, $new-value)" />
<!-- copy payload -->
I tried many option but unfortunately none of them worked.
<Content_Disposition>attachment;filename="$inputparam"</Content_Disposition>
<Content_Disposition>attachment;filename="$dynamic-conf"</Content_Disposition>
<Content_Disposition>attachment;filename="$dynamic-key"</Content_Disposition>
<Content_Disposition>attachment;filename="$dynamic-value"</Content_Disposition>
<Content_Disposition>attachment;filename="$dummy"</Content_Disposition>
<Content_Disposition>
attachment;filename=
<xsl:value-of select="dynamic-key"/>
</Content_Disposition>
I really appreciate if someone can please provide some guidance.
Thanks,Hi,
Yes u r correct it will show error in operation mapping.. bcoz u cannot check the DynamicConfiguration in Operation mapping...
It will throw Exception..
The parameter to UDF depends on ur requirement.... Let us know ur requirements exactly...
If u r doing for file to file means no UDF required,, just check ASMA on both sides....

Dynamic port configured for FILE adapter is not working
Hi,
I have a simple dynamic port in an orchestration that writes a file to a file location. Here is the configuration
================
FilePort(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.Address) = "FILE://c:\\TestFolder\\Out";
FilePort(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.TransportType) = "FILE";
================
When I run this orchestration, the dynamic port does not write the file to the folder, however I does not show any error either. It is always in "Ready to Run" state where the message is "Queued Awaiting".
I tried all sorts of combinations like FILE:// FILE:\\ File: file:// file:\\ etc... and also without the moniker, just c:\.... I get the same problem.
when I use a static port(subscribed to the same message) it works fine. When I use a static port ALONGWITH this dynamic port then both works fine !!! I receive 2 files.
but when I use only dynamic port it does not work!!
Anybody knows how to solve it.
THANKS IN AVANCE
PLEASE HELP
SuryaIt could be becasue you 're not passing in the file name, Try something like this..
SndPort_Dynamic(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.Address)=@"file://C:\Test\Try\Out\Test1.xml";
But even when you don't pass the file name, i was expecting the erro to be like:
The FILE send adapter cannot open file C:\TestFolder\Out\ for writing.
Details: The system cannot find the path specified.
But try with File Name and restart the host instance after the change.
Or use somehting like this:
FilePort(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.Address)=@"file://C:\Test\Try\Out\\%MessageID%.xml";
FilePort(Microsoft.XLANGs.BaseTypes.TransportType) = "File";

HTTPS configuration for SOAP adapter
Hi,
We have a requirement where we need to send the request to the target URL with https protocol.
We have raised a request to configure the XI server for HTTPS.
HTTPS has been configured on both ABAP stack and J2EE stack.
But we could not find the HTTPS option in the drop down list of transport protocol in receiver Soap adapter.
For this do we need to do any setting changes on the XI server after the configuration?
Thanks,
Jyothsna .Hi,
You need to setup SSL layer for HTTPS endpoint.
Possible HTTP security levels are (in ascending order):
HTTP without SSL
HTTP with SSL (= HTTPS), but without client authentication
HTTP with SSL (= HTTPS) and with client authentication
Please go through below link for referance (above information is from below link)

Regarding message level you can encrypt the message using certificates.
For both of this basis team has to deploy the releavant certificates in XI ABAP Stack or Java stack.
Generally if the scenarios are intra company we dont use any transport level or message level security since the network is already secured.
Check the following links.. you will get the information all about the securities...

Alert Configuration for Seeburger Adapter
Dear Team,
I would like to know an information.
For an example,If I use AS2 adapter on the sender side and File on the receiver side,Can we do the Alert Configuration in XI/PI to capture these errors ?
Warm Regards
B.DheepaHI
Yes you can use Alert configuration to capture the error from the adapter but the container elements will bring different output as compared to XI adapters.
Thanks
