Configuration of APEX applications to use Oracle Access Manager for Login

Is there Oracle documentation on configuring an APEX application to accept a login id passed by Oracle Access Manager? Would someone please help with some instructions on how to do it. Thanks.

Hi Ravi,
this looks like a WLS issue.
1-You can try as a workaround to remove this validator configuration in taglib definition file: .tld and see the behavior.
2-Or you are missing something into url.
I hope this helps,
Thiago Leoncio.

  • How to protect custom applications using oracle access manager?

Can someone brief me on how to protect custom applications using oracle access manager?

Is the Custom application a Web Application running on certified platform? If its Web Application then its no different you have to configure the access policies with http(s) as resource type.
If its not a web application you can write Custom access Gate and then implement. You would configure the policies similar to Web application (you can define your ouwn resource type if you like) and in the custom web gate you will use Access server SDK API to validate the access rules.
    Thanks

  • Custom Login Module for Tomcat to procted apps using Oracle Access Manager

    Hi all,
    I have the following scenario.
A web application deployed in Tomcat to be protected using OAM. One solution is to use Access Gate though we have other alternative as Proxy infront of Tomcat with a webgate. Now I am implementing the Access Gate solution.
So, when the user clicks the tomcat application, then the prompt (BASIC) appears for login details. custom login module should kick in and take those login details and authenticate against OAM using Access SDK API.
I have created access gate profile and installed Access SDK. Ran the ConfigureAccessGateTool as well.
I did some research googling for login module. I came to know that we need to write a custom realm for it. So, this realm implementation involves specifying role-name etc., in web.xml where the role-name would have been defined in tomcat-users.xml.
This means that the user trying to authenticate against OAM has to have some roles defined in Tomcat to login. I didnot understand the flow end to end as how this will work.
Please let me know if anybody has done this of customization.
    Thanks,
    Mahendra.

    Hi Ambarish,
Initially I thought of implementing the way you suggested in Option 2.
But there will be various redirections when we use option 2 as the login page should redirect it to a page where OAM authentication and authorization stuff has to be handled. And accordingly we have to redirect it to specific pages upon successful atn and atz. Hence, I was opted using Custom Login Module.
However, I have been trying Option 2 now. In web.xml, I have specified a login page with FORM scheme. The login redirects it to another page say OAM_Authentication_Handler.jsp. Here we code which serves atn and atz. Upon doing this, I have observed that the protected resource in OAM is not getting evaluated using the method
    String ms_protocol = "http";
    String ms_method = "GET";
    String ms_resource = "http://localhost:8080/FormLogin/private.jsp";
    ObResourceRequest rrq = new ObResourceRequest(ms_protocol, ms_resource, ms_method);
The method rrq.isProtected() is returning false which implies it to unprotected. I have tested using Access Tester for the resource and it results in expected behaviour.
Is there any limitation here by using this approach?
    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Mahendra.

  • Issues integrating WebCenter with Oracle Access Manager

    Hi All,
I am trying to integrate WebCenter 10.1.3.2 with Oracle Access Manager (CoreId). Followed the steps described in the Chapter 11 of the OC4J Security Guide.
I was able to successfully authenticate WebCenter using IWA with Access Manager.
Then I proceeded with the below steps:
    - Implemented ADF Security in the application. Created application roles and login page and worked fine on my local machine.
    - Provide the auth-method of "COREIDSSO" in orion-application.xml
    - Renamed the app-jazn-data.xml to give the OID groups
    - Mapped the OID groups to application roles in orion-application.xml
    - Used the jazn migration tool to populate the system-jazn-data.xml
When trying to access the application, it looks like the ADF Context identifies that this is an authenticated user.
    ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().isAuthenticated() retruns true
    ADFContext.getCurrent().getSecurityContext().isAuthorizationEnabled() returns true
I get the below error message on the server console:
[CoreIDLoginModule::getUserSessionFromCookie]: This user session for F3iwZhUGgjej9RSrMLSo0wjH5Ec6c2oeC0OBRH12y7%2FvfPVncz6dYoBoFD6q8DWAlMtzah%2FYV4T1t7jztVFYbxwfOyu0VOMXMEIosRrFicfJwoPRrM8MOkFsziQxpUqo98XrC9iBRHffdWSItNHZRZK4ZoCJMi6HZZ6noOc4Z%2BGJDGj3kWndYHTWjiG0cJhkSbL95wMmrXCDElzZHjPMdkuNQUHW1TfAJvgSlDeX6hhhIThlc%2BGmxMP3MQ%2FZoxUysbKieIJgDXo1%2FEMmLmTVjA%3D%3D is not valid or user is not logged in.
I also tried using the "Headervar" variable to display the obmygroups value, but it comes as blank.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks

We recently integrated Webcenter Application (with ADF Authentication and Authorization) with OAM. May be the following will be of some help to you.
We did the following steps documented in Chapter 11 Oracle Access Manager in Oracle J2EE security guide.
    OAM
    1. Created ALL specified policies , authentication schemes, protection specified in OAM section of the document.
    OC4J
    1. Ran all configuration listed for the OC4J section.
    Webcenter
    1. Developed the Webcenter Application
    2. Enabled ADF Security (Authentication & Authorization)
    3. Deployed the application. While deploying chose File based provider.
    4. After the deployment, changed orion-application.xml to have COREIDSSO as documented in Oracle documentation
    system-jazn-data.xml
    1. Added login module details as specified in the document. (Changed only the application name. Rest all was same as we used names as specified in the earlier steps of the document)
    OID Migration
Reference document: "Configuring a WebCenter Application to Use Oracle Access Manager" in Webcenter Framework Developer guide.
    1. Located app-jazn-data.xml in the deployed application
    2. Removed "realm-name" and "type" subelements of "grantee" tags. Removed any realm details in user name.
    3. changed references to "class oracle.security.jazn.spi.xml.XMLRealmRole" to "oracle.security.jazn.realm.CoreIDPrincipal"
    4. ran the JAZN migration tool with "all" options. Migration from app-jazn-data.xml to OID.
    OAM
Created policies for protecting our application.
    Test the application.
    Debugging.
    1. Enable oracle.adf.share.security , oracle.j2ee.security & oracle.j2ee.security.oc4j loggers to debug if the application is not working the way you expect to work.
    2. Set log level in Enterprise manager.
    3. All logging information are written in log.xml in $ORACLE_HOME/j2ee/OC4J_Webcenter/log/OC4J_WebCenter_default_group_1/oc4j
    Thanks

  • WCI single sign on(SSO) configurations with Oracle Access Manager(OAM)

I have to integrate the oracle access manager with the WCI(ALUI) for the SSO implementation. What are the configurations required to implement SSO with oracle access manager in WCI/ALUI

Any answer to the last question on..?
No, better explain my query with 2 scenarios:
    Scenario 1:
Usual scenario authentication of a user to a web application without the single web functionality on the acces single manager:
Login screen of the web application ====> Access to the web application home
    Scenario 2:
Scenario authentication of a user to a single web application with web functionality on the acces single manager:
Login screen oracle access manager ====> Display login web application ====> Access to the web application home
    My query is:
You can configure the functionality of single sign on to access manager with a web application that does not have its login screen of the web application. For example:
Login screen oracle access manager ====> Access to the web application home

    Hi Viju,
Did you executed the python script to register OPSS. If not then you will get the mentioned error:
I have mentioned couple of workarounds. Can you try those and let me know the results. Take the backup of your entire environment before you follow the steps:::
    1. For the ARME issue patch can be applied for 11.1.2
OAM Bundle Patch Release History (Doc ID 736372.1)
Yes. This is a benign message. ( the ARME issue)
OAM 11R2 After Upgrade The Managed Server Start With Error ArmeRUNTIME Exception: Null (Doc ID 1509559.1)
The other issue is under investgation and is benign.
<oracle.adfinternal.view.faces.renderkit.rich.RegionRenderer> WARNING when accessing oamconsole (Doc ID 1511967.1)
The final message is spoken to here:
WLS 10.3.3: "Auto-Ref-By: WebApp" deployed as shared library is affecting other web applications. (Doc ID 1210393.1)
    Action Plan:

  • Oracle Access Manager, ADAM & UCM integration? Help please..

I`m currently investigating the potential of using Oracle Access Manager (OAM) as a tool that allows connections to multiple Active Directory(AD) or ADAM servers providing a single point to author and manage users with a good easy to use GUI.
The UCM will connect directly to OAM and authenticate users connecting from AD accounts..
At the moment we use Quest software to manage users, but the cost for setting up users is £15/user where as OAM is only £3. I believe..
Right the questions I have :)
    1. Has any one set this type of environment up?
    2. ls OAM stand alone or will I need additional software to set it up?
Reading the installation guide it says I need the following:
    # Oracle Internet Directory 10g (10.1.4.0.1)
    # Microsoft Active Directory
    # Oracle Virtual Directory Server 10.1.4.0.1
    # Oracle Virtual Directory Manager 10.1.4.0.1
    # Oracle Virtual Directory Patch 10.1.4.0.1 (P5667977)
    # Stand-alone Oracle HTTP Server 2.x (This needs to be preinstalled in your environment. You can download the OHS 2.x standalone from the Oracle SOA Suite 10g Companion (10.1.3.1.0) release from here.)
    3. Can I use IIS instead of Oracle HTTP Server?
    4. Can I install OAM on 1 server or do I need multiple servers, I`v been looking at the diagrams and reading through the guides I`m getting a little confused with Identity and Access server?

    Hi,
Have you got information reg UCM & OAM integration?
Could you please help me with the integration guide?
    Regards,
    Ashish

The OAM identity system (identity server and WebPass) sound like a good fit for what you want to do. One constraint is that if you want to create/manage users in different directory instances via a single OAM identity system installation, you would also need OVD.
And yes you definitely can have IIS host the WebPass - OHS, OID etc are not required.

  • How to configura multiple ldap server to the sun access manager

    Hi,
please help how to configure multiple ldap server to the sun access manager, for example access manager does't find the user in ldap1 then it should search in ldap2.
    Thanks
    Mouli

Theres no need for deleting the default amSDK based datastore because its needed for some default accounts.
You may try to create the datastore using the commandline (amadmin)
    Have a look /etc/opt/SUNWam/config/xml/idRepoService.xml
You may also try to create amadmin account in the external ldap directory.
(Un)fortunately ive never tried to remove the default datastore.

  • Oracle Apex - SSO with IBM Tivoli Access Manager WebSeal - filters out Files with Server Error 500

    Hi,
We are using IBM Tivoli Access Manager for SSO to authenticate users to access our APEX application. The authentication works but...
When the application is being accessed with the WebSeal JS/CSS files are randomly not loaded and show up with either HTTP 400 or HTTP 500 error in the FF Toolbar Console. Of course without certain CSS / JS files the application can't be used by the user.
If the application is accessed without WebSeal all files are loaded successful.
    Our set up:
There are two APEX Applications using the WebSeal - the first one apparently works
    Apex Listener on Tomcat7.0
    Apex 4.2.6
We tried all kind of different WebSeal configurations but nothing worked so far.
    I found the following:
    interactive report problem with SSO
==> Does anyone know how to use mapping tables and does it help?
Interactive report javascript error due to proxy
==> The solution is for EPG but we use Tomcat as Listener so the solution does not apply
Does anyone know how to configure the WebSeal ?
    Thanks

I have same issue with Apex 4.2.6 and Webseal,  but only on Mobile Application.  Desktop Application is ok.
I have raise a SR on supportweb, but SR engineer tell me it's may be the Webseal issue, they can't reproduce it with Oracle Access Manger.
    It's really a tough issue.

SOA is not required. WebGate is a separate installation, separate from where you install the Oracle Access Manager.
Oracle Access Manager is like the management station, WebGate would typically be installed on a host where a Web Server is running. So WebGate running on the WebServer host would be used to provide access control functions for web pages hosted on Web Server. You will have to do the configuration of WebGate separately after Access Manager has been installed. Please mark answer helpful/correct if helpful.
