Configuration/workspace/*.xml file information

Hi all, I am new to DWcs4 and woke up to this message when I tried to start DWcs4 this morning.
The following panel layout is missing or could not be read:
c:\documents and settings/owner.lee\application data\adobe\dreamweaver cs4\en_us\configuration\workspace\mine.xml
I also saw this on another attempt.
XML parsing fatal error: Invalid document structure, line: 1, file C:\Documents and Settings\Owner.Lee\Application Data\Adobe\Dreamweaver CS4\en_us\Configuration\Workspace\mine.xml
I ended up reinstalling which was no big deal because I have just started using DW. Right after I started my uninstall I found some excellent adivce in this group about removing (renaming might also work I think) the installation directory and restarting DW as it would recreate these files automagically.
What I am wondering is if it would not be a bad idea to backup from this configuration file down in case I see this message again and don't feel up to reinstalling, when I have much more custom stuff setup. I found that other people were getting the same or a very similiar message but the file named was "Designer.xml" I did not initially see in my workspace directory until a while after I started working with DW. I assume it was because I saved the "Designer" workspace setup during the session. I do backup my entire pc every night, as long as I remember to plug in my external drive, but I am just wondering if it would be a good idea to back up this directory in a straight unencrypted format for quick restores. Or maybe I am overreacting?

ColdFusion, even running on localhost, does not run as *you*,
unless you
have told it to. By default it runs as 'localSystem' on
Windows, on
Unix it will run under the user defined at install time.

allow you to access the internet, but not a generic
'localSystem' user.
One way to test this would be to configure the ColdFusion
service|daemon
to run under your user name and password. Not an ideal, long

Passwords in All-configuration backup XML file

Looking at the http://goo.gl/UU4cmx - for All configuration backup XML file in UCS Manager it says "This file does not include passwords for locally authenticated users."
When I create all configuration backup I can still see passwords when I look into the XML file but they are encrypted somehow.
So if I create a backup and import it to some other UCS system - how will the new system know how to decrypt the password so users will be able to login? Thanks.

General knowledge/Guidelines on UWL behaviour - configured from XML files

Hi,
Like a lot of other people working with SAP UWL, we also have the needs for configuring the UWL behaviour from the XML files.
Until now, we have managed (not many cases/issues - but, a lot of time) to handle the needs.
But, my aim is to get a more stuctural knowledge of the uwl.standard, uwl.webflow etc. and the relationsships between the elements between them. When we have an issue to solve now, we almost start from scratch as we do not have an structural overview of the files and their contents - and their elements interrelationships.
I have searched to find it, but, unfortunately I have not succeeded.
Do some of you guys know where to obtain some structural knowledge of the XML files featured?

XCM configuration path in web.xml file

Hi,
Here is a requirement that all the XCM configuration files are stored at local desktop(like QAT, PRD..), and need to use them by modifying web.xml.
Please let me know at
1)which web.xml tag the path of XCM confiuration files to be specified.

How to configure multiple jsp files with diff beans in faces-config.xml??

I have 2 seperate jsp pages one is a login page and the other is the main application page.Now i am handling both the pages with seperate Bean class with respective setter and getter methods.How can i state the same in faces-config.xml file???..

Accessing config information in XML file in a Weblogic web service (JWS)

Problem:
I have implemented a web service for sending emails and pages via Java Mail and SNPP respectively using WebLogic Workshop on the BEA WebLogic 8.1 platform. In the service, I use certain pieces of information that are currently stored in an XML file on disk. Also, in its current state, the web service is implemented with public methods directly in the .jws Java file and not as a session bean. The file read from disk is performed every time the web service operation to send a message is invoked. As we all know, the I/O files access is very expensive and a performance bottleneck, especially when it is incurred on every invocation of the web service ‘sendMessage’ [operation.
Without radically re-writing the application, I am looking for a way to improve the performance of the web service and can only come up with the following 2 ways:
1) Move the code out of the sendMessage operation: Here, the main question I have is 'to where should I move it to'? I have seen in the WebLogic Workshop documentation that WebLogic Server maintains only a single instance of a Java class that implements a Web Service operation, and each invoke of the Web Service uses this same instance. In that case, I should be able to put the code in the constructor so that the files is read only at the time the class is instantiated, but a constructor in the .jws file that contains the web service operations itself does not seem to be invoked by the container (I tried to put a breakpoint in the constructor, but it seems that the constructor code never gets called)
2) Move the configuration variables into some type of standard configuration file of WebLogic, something like web.xml or wlw-config.xml or jws-config.properties files. But I found that these XML files have an associated schema to conform to and do not provide any custom elements or attributes that I could add for my application(is that true?). Also, if I can somehow put the configuration information into any of these standard files, how do I access it from within the application 'without' doing a file read from disk? Are these configuration file items available in memory for access and use by the web service and if they are, what API can I use to access and use them?

I have been looking into a similar problem. Since web services are by design stateless, they aren't good for 'remembering' information between calls. Aside from a file read, the only other solution I have found is to use a database. You can make use of an entity bean or simply make some kind of JDBC call. I don't know if you need to stick with the config file, but if so maybe you could read the config data into a database once and then you might have faster access than reading from a file. I'm not sure about which would have better performace, but its all I have come up with so far. What parser are you using to read your XML file? Have you tried others to see if they have better performance?

In windows environment I donot have any problem when creating crystal report from Xml file and Excel file. After creating reports when I publish those into boe server in solaris, getting connection failed error.
My solaris BOE server doent have any network connection with windows machines. So i have to place the files in solaris server.
Below the steps what I tried:
1. Created crystal reports from cr designer in windows using ADO.Net(xml) and in another try with Xml webservices drivers. Reports works well as it should.
2. Saved in BOE repository in Solaris server from crystal reports and changed database configuration settings as:
    -Used custom database logon information and specified cr_xml as custom driver.
    -Chnaged database path to file directory path according to solaris server file path </app/../../>
    -tried table prefix also
    - Selected radio button use same database logon as when report is run saved.
My environment :
SAP BOXI3.1 sp3
crystal reports 2008 sp3
SunOS
Cr developing in windows 7.
For Excel I tried with ODBC in windows but I can't find any ODBC or JDBC drivers for Excel in solaris.
Any help to solve my issues

If you can enforce some sort of naming convention for the transport endpoint for this proxy service across the environments, where the environment name is part of the endpoint you may able to retrieve it from $inbound in the message pipeline.
eg. http://osb_host/service/prod/service1 ==> Prod and http://osb_host/service/prod/service2 ==> stage , then i think $inbound/ctx:transport/ctx:uri can give you /service/prod/service1 or /service/stage/service1 and applying appropriate xpath functions you will be able to extract the environment name.

Configuring the Logconfig.xml file

I would like to configure the Logconfig.xml(for presentation services) so that the log file that is created is in the format of the log file that is generated by usage tracking(comma separated values) or store it directly to the table.

I will try to make it clearer:
The server I have access to runs Tomcat through Apache. The only way I can access files is if I put them under httdocs.
The question is quite simple: without having my clueless host remap everything, how can I access files in the Tomcat directory, where those files rightly belong?
There should be a simple way to do it in a web.xml file, but have been unsuccessful thus far.

What exactly are you doing in the SAP Solution Manager - Maintenance Optimizer?
I assume that you are at least on SP 15 which is a prerequisite.
Currently a common error is a wrong maintained SMSY: Please check SAP note 1022072 for details.

XML Fetch Error. The XML file assigned in the configuration.xml is either wrong or corrupted.

1.Some web pages give "XML Fetch Error. The XML file assigned in the configuration.xml is either wrong or corrupted".
2.Youtube gives, after pressing start button, message"An error occurred. Please try again later.
Opening same youtube page with IE, there is no problems.
3.Scrolling on Mozilla firefox pages works only with sidebar not with mouse wheel.
Other user accounts on this computer doesn't have these problems.

Create XML file with oracle DDL information

Hi,
I am working on a architecture where I was asked to see find the solution for the following issue:
we are building a ODS which gets a feed from an ORACLE source. But ODS will not have any access to that table and the data will be pushed by source system. The requirement is whenever the source system change the table structure (add a column,drop a column, change data type) that should be reflected in ODS stage table by droping and recreating a table with the structure that comes everyday from the source. My question is without getting the DDL file from the source, can we get the structure in XML file along with data? so that I can use the XML file to create the stage table everyday in ODS. I dont' want to use xmltype or clob/varchar2. The oracle table should be rows and column.
I know XML SQL will be able to insert the xml to oracle table and oracle table can be extracted to XML type.

If you need to create a new command, you can use SAP Developer Studio. After deploy you will see it in
System administration->system configuration->cm->user interface->Commands.
There are examples about how to create commands.
You need to create your own layout set. This one use a resource renderer, here you must setup the commands group that you created.
After that, you create a navigation iview and layout set field you setup your layout set.

I am using Mysql as database , How to configure JBoss to use Mysql as the database when using ejb's( session beans)

1) My doubts are
a). there is a username and password to access the database,
I am mentioning only the database namein the xml file like-
jdbc/rfptrack. So where should the username and password be
mentioned or declared.
b). The server showed the following error when it was started.

the server is showing that table "test:" does not exist but I am using rfptrack as the database and not test. how can I configure the server for it.
PLEASE GO THROUGH THE EJB-JAR.XML FILE AND THE SERVER ERRORS GIVEN ABOVE AND GIVE SUGGESTIONS TO RECTIFY MY ERRORS.
