Configuring file and JDBC adapter using MAX DB

Dear Experts..!!!
The problem description is i need to store a text file in Database(MaxDB).....
in receiver communication channel there is database connection in that i want to know what entrys to be done..... and plz do let me know is there any other things to be done to achieve the output.

Hi Vinod,
       I also do not have idea about MaxDB, but you can refer these links. It will help you out in getting some more information about MaxDB and XI:

  • Location of xdodelivery.cfg delivery Configuration file and how to use it

    I am trying to use xdodelivery.cfg for setting various Server Properties and calling
    this in my Delivery Wrapper Java Program.
    First of all i am not able to find this file anywhere on Oracle Apps APPL_TOP,So i have created this xdodelivery.cfg file in $CUSTOM_TOP/resource directory.
    Then in my Java Program I have set Java system property by calling java.lang.System.getProperties().put("XDO_TOP", "/path/to/xdotop") which points to Physical Directory of as CUSTOM_TOP as /u01/app/appltop/cust
    Then i am Calling req.setServer("PRINTER_NAME") method in Java Wrapper Program to call PRINTER_NAME properties.
    But i am not able to get any success in it. User Guide is mentioning following thing
    "The location of the configuration file is
    {XDO_TOP}/resource/xdodelivery.cfg
    where {XDO_TOP} is a Java system property that points to the physical directory.
    This system property can be set in two ways:
    • Pass -DXDO_TOP=/path/to/xdotop to the Java startup parameter
    • Use a Java API in your code, such as java.lang.System.getProperties().
    put("XDO_TOP", "/path/to/xdotop")
    The system property must be defined before constructing a DeliveryManager"
    Please give me solution of how to go about it .I mean using xdodelivery.cfg file
    Thanks
    Darshan

    Hi,
    I am facing a similar issue while using the configuration file, can you please list out the steps for setting the XDO_TOP Java System property, I have tried setting a Run Time environment variable XDO_TOP to the path of the xdodelivery.cfg file in my qapache port, but the file is not getting picked up.
    Any pointers would be appriciated,
    Thanks,

  • File to JDBC Scenario using stored procedure Question

    Does anyone have an aswer (or have you seen a Blog that covers it) to the problem of having to do a table refresh before doing inserts in a file 2 jdbc scenario?
    Essentially the details are as follows:
    I have an input file that has all the data for a table (it's a complete table dump) of lets say userdata (username, name, hiredate).
    I need to pass that to an oracle database via stored procedure(s).  But before I start issuing my insert (via insert stored procedure) I have to somehow issue a delete statement to delete all the contents of the table I'm about to update.  I'm on XI 3.0 and aren't sure what the best solution to this may be.
    Again if there is a blog that covers this then if you could point me in that direction it would be great.  Otherwise if anyone has any good ideas it would be appreciated.

    Hi,
    For structure refer this blog..
    /people/sap.user72/blog/2005/06/01/file-to-jdbc-adapter-using-sap-xi-30
    Use two <Statement> tags as shown here and there you may have separate tablenames.

  • Synchronus file to jdbc Adapter configuration.

    Hi ,
    I want to configure for Synchronus File to Jdbc Adapter.
    Can anyone tell me how to do it.
    hemant

    Hi,
    In this case you would definitely need one file sender and one jdbc receiver adapter.
    Create data taype and message type for file sender ,then create message interface for this message type.
    Then create datatype for receiver i.e. jdbc.
    For jdbc receiver there is one standard format as below:
    <root>
      <StatementName1>
    <dbTableName action=”UPDATE” | “UPDATE_INSERT”>
        <table>realDbTableName</table>
    <access>
    <col1>val1</col1>
    <col2>val2new</col2>
    </access>
    <key1>
    <col2>val2old</col2>
    <col4>val4</col4>
    </key1>
    </dbTableName>
    </StatementName1>
    Then create message type and message interface for this message type.This interface will be inbound and synchronous.
    Map your file message to jdbc receiver message.
    Then map interfaces.
    In ID create configuration scenario,assign file sending and jdbc receiver business system to this scenario.
    Then create file sender and jdbc receiver communication channel.Create receiver determination,sender agreement and receiver agreement.
    But if you want file synchronous scenario then,you need to use BPM for this.
    Thanks.

  • JMS and JDBC Adapter in PI7.1

    Hi All,
    Kindly tell me about the blogs for JMS and JDBC adapter.
    Please tell me about the Message Types in JMS adapter.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Shwetambari,
    Thanks for the reply.
    We need to mention the Adapter Modules while configuring the communiucation channels in JMS
    e.g. Adapter/ConvertJMSMessageToBinary,Adapter/ConvertBinaryToXMBMessage etc.
    So please tell me whether we need to write the cide for the same in JAVA or it is already there ?If it is there then whre can we get it?Do we need to decompile the archeve ?If so, then how to do it?
    Can you give me the Adaqpter Modules for which the code is already there?
    The JMS adapter (Java Message Service) enables you to connect messaging systems to the Integration Engine or the PCK.
    What are the different types of Messaging Systems?Or what is meant by the Messaging System in JMS?
    What are the different types of Messages used?
    Thanks in advance.

  • FILE and FTP Adapter file size limit

    Hi,
    Oracle SOA Suite ESB related:
    I see that there is a file size limit of 7MB for transferring using File and FTP adapter and that debatching can be used to overcome this issue. Also see that debatching can be done only for strucutred files.
    1) What can be done to transfer unstructured files larger than 7MB from one server to the other using FTP adapter?
    2) For structured files, could someone help me in debatching a file with the following structure.
    000|SEC-US-MF|1234|POPOC|679
    100|PO_226312|1234|7130667

    Ok Here are the steps
    1. Create an inbound file adapter as you normally would. The schema is opaque, set the polling as required.
    2. Create an outbound file adapter as you normally would, it doesn't really matter what xsd you use as you will modify the wsdl manually.
    3. Create a xsd that will read your file. This would typically be the xsd you would use for the inbound adapter. I call this address-csv.xsd.
    4. Create a xsd that is the desired output. This would typically be the xsd you would use for the outbound adapter. I have called this address-fixed-length.xsd. So I want to map csv to fixed length format.
    5. Create the xslt that will map between the 2 xsd. Do this in JDev, select the BPEL project, right-click -> New -> General -> XSL Map
    6. Edit the outbound file partner link wsdl, the the jca operations as the doc specifies, this is my example.
    <jca:binding  />
            <operation name="MoveWithXlate">
          <jca:operation
              InteractionSpec="oracle.tip.adapter.file.outbound.FileIoInteractionSpec"
              SourcePhysicalDirectory="foo1"
              SourceFileName="bar1"
              TargetPhysicalDirectory="C:\JDevOOW\jdev\FileIoOperationApps\MoveHugeFileWithXlate\out"
              TargetFileName="purchase_fixed.txt"
              SourceSchema="address-csv.xsd"
              SourceSchemaRoot ="Root-Element"
              SourceType="native"
              TargetSchema="address-fixedLength.xsd"
              TargetSchemaRoot ="Root-Element"
              TargetType="native"
              Xsl="addr1Toaddr2.xsl"
              Type="MOVE">
          </jca:operation> 7. Edit the outbound header to look as follows
        <types>
            <schema attributeFormDefault="qualified" elementFormDefault="qualified"
                    targetNamespace="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/file/"
                    xmlns="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema"
                    xmlns:FILEAPP="http://xmlns.oracle.com/pcbpel/adapter/file/">
                <element name="OutboundFileHeaderType">
                    <complexType>
                        <sequence>
                            <element name="fileName" type="string"/>
                            <element name="sourceDirectory" type="string"/>
                            <element name="sourceFileName" type="string"/>
                            <element name="targetDirectory" type="string"/>
                            <element name="targetFileName" type="string"/>
                        </sequence>
                    </complexType>
                </element>
            </schema>
        </types>   8. the last trick is to have an assign between the inbound header to the outbound header partner link that copies the headers. You only need to copy the sourceDirectory and SourceGileName
        <assign name="Assign_Headers">
          <copy>
            <from variable="inboundHeader" part="inboundHeader"
                  query="/ns2:InboundFileHeaderType/ns2:fileName"/>
            <to variable="outboundHeader" part="outboundHeader"
                query="/ns2:OutboundFileHeaderType/ns2:sourceFileName"/>
          </copy>
          <copy>
            <from variable="inboundHeader" part="inboundHeader"
                  query="/ns2:InboundFileHeaderType/ns2:directory"/>
            <to variable="outboundHeader" part="outboundHeader"
                query="/ns2:OutboundFileHeaderType/ns2:sourceDirectory"/>
          </copy>
        </assign>you should be good to go. If you just want pass through then you don't need the native format set to opaque, with no XSLT
    cheers

  • JDBC to File and RFC adapter

    Hi All,
    In my scenario, i am sending file from a database system to SAP system. Here I am using JDBC/ webserveices adapter at outbound side  to query the database and FILE and RFC at inbound side to send file and workflow notification.
    my requirement is to send file as batch to SAP system(after business hours), send workflow notiication to the responsible person, and when the file is stored on application server then only i should send the notification to the person.
    I know this can be acheived by BPM by using wait step but I am  not sure how to do it only for RFC adapter to kick the notification once the file has stored and confirmed.
    Can anyone help me in this issue.

    There are two options,
    1. With BPM you can have the send step for file request an acknowledgment and then have the send step for the RFC call after the previous file send  step.
    2. Without BPM, use the same Business system (single receiver det.) and have multiple interface determination (file&RFC). Use the option maintain order at runtime and have the file interface above the RFC. This will act like an EOIO.

  • XI JDBC Adapter using stored procedures

    Hi
    I am using the JDBC adpapter to call a stored procedure on a SQL database.
    In the adapter configuration I am using 'com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver' as the JDBC Driver parameter and 'jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://LIBOEE01:1433;DatabaseName=DEV_OEE;SelectMethod=cursor;' as the connection string.
    My payload is as follows:

    However, when I cal lthe interface I receive the follwoing error in the adapter:

    Is this possibly casued by the driver being the incorrect version?

    Hi Kanth,
    Thanks for your response, but the blog by Siva Maranani is actually where I got my code from. Upon further research I think have found the problem as experienced in this blog --> Re: MS SQL Server jdbc Driver installation on XI . There are 2 jar files missing from our SQL JDBC driver --> msbase.jar and msutil.jar, I think once I have added these to the driver it might work. Strange that when you download the driver from microsoft's website that these 2 files are only available in the UNIX download though!

  • Sapdb (maxdb) and jdbc adapter problem

    Hi,
    i have installed this jdbc file:

    https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/xi/xi-how-to-guides/how to install and configure external drivers for jdbc and jms adapters.pdf
    then i set up an jdbc to file szenario to test the adapter.
    Driver is: com.sap.dbtech.jdbc.DriverSapDB
    connection is: jdbc:sapdb://sapdb-host/XI_DATA
    with sapdb-host is the db server and XI_DATA ist the database
    user and pw is dba
    sql statement is: SELECT * FROM "AAA_XI_DATA" WHERE "number" = 50
    with AAA_XI_DATA is the table with test data.
    the statment works in the sapdb studio. (No ; in sapdb and the XI)
    but when i have a look at the runtime monitor at the af

    check, if the jdbc driver is working and where do i find
    error messages?
    Regards

    Message was edited by: Jörg Pieper

    You can check if there is some kind of error with the JDBC Adapter in the Runtime Workbench. Inside the RWB, open "Component Monitoring", "tree view", "Adapter Monitoring", and in the adapter listing you'll find the "JDBC Adapter". It should have a green light. If not, the error will be displayed.

  • Reading Encrypted Password from Configuration File and Decrypt it at login

    Hi All,
    My application reads a configuration file to connect to the ORACLE database. The values defined for password are clear text as given below:
    user: 'mh'
    password='abcd1234'
    Is there is any way I can give an encrypted password in the configuration file instead of a clear text file and at the time of login ORACLE decrypts it. I am using ORACLE 11g Database.
    My company have a requirement that passwords are not stored in the clear in properties files. the reason being I suppose that if the password is stored in plaintext someone could hit the property file directly, get the password and then connect to the database with it.
    For a regular user connecting through an Oracle client or SQL Developer they would need to have the plaintext password in order to connect.
    its based on the requirements of
    International Standards Organization Guidance
    ISO 17799 9.5.4 requires password management systems to:
     enforce the use of individual passwords
     allow users to select and change their own passwords if appropriate
     enforce a choice of quality passwords
     force regular changes of passwords
     maintain a record of previous user passwords to prevent re-use
     not display passwords when they are being entered
     store password files separately from application system data
     store passwords in encrypted form using a one way encryption algorithm
     alter default vendor passwords following installation of software
    So if I can store the password encrypted using a one way algorithm then hacker/user couldn't decrypt it and then access the database.
    I have feeling there is a way of configuring this in Oracle advanced Security, but just can't quite get it to work.
    Edited by: user5568473 on 20-May-2013 00:05

    So if I can store the password encrypted using a one way algorithm then hacker/user couldn't decrypt it and then access the database.... and neither can your application. Encryption is needed in this case. The decryption must be written into your application. I've written my own in some cases, but finding a library for your development language is a smarter solution.
    One alternative is using an Oracle wallet. It doesn't fit every circumstance and does have some maintenance headaches.
    You can set up a basic secure password store to encrypt and store the password for a given user@instance combination, and then connect to the database without passing a password. SQL*Net adds in the appropriate password from the wallet for when you connect.
    http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/database/security/twp-db-security-secure-ext-pwd-stor-133399.pdf
    Advanced Security Option also allows you to set up a Public Key Infrastructure connections (SSL encryption and/or authentication). It also uses a wallet to store the SSL certificates and credentials. I don't have personal experience on this approach.
    SSL and the wallet allow you to connect to the database similar to CONNECT/@net_service_name or sqlplus /@net_service_namehttp://docs.oracle.com/cd/B28359_01/network.111/b28530/asossl.htm#CIHCBIEG

    Your 'write to sreadshhet mod' suprime the dialog of replace file or not!, i want when i push save, it show the dialog input name of file and show the default sim000 but when i push this sim000 and this file already exist, then show the dialog to replace or not, if i replace Ok not problem, but when i push cancel replace it shows error eof!!!.
    Your file, only remove this dialog and only replace the file directly.

  • Urgent ! BPEL file and ftp adapter problem.

    Hi All!
    I have created a bpel process having two partner links.One for the ftp adapter and one for the file adapter. I want the ftp adapter to poll the *.pdf files in the specified directory on the remote machine periodically and get them to my local machine here. For this I am using ftp adapter with read operation and with opaque schemas(because I want the files as they are without any transformation). I am using a receive activity with the ftp adapter, with the create instance box checked.
    To write the file to the local machine I am using file adapter and write operation.File adapter also uses opaque schema.With this file adapter I am using invoke activity.Invoke is below the receive activity in the bpel process. I deployed this successfully on the default domain. I want the bpel process to run automatically,depending on the polling frequency given and create instances and bring the files to my machine.
    But it is not happening.
    Can anybody tell me where I am going wrong.How to accomplish this? It is very urgent issue for me.
    Thanking in advance,
    Regards,
    Deepika.

    Hi All!
    Now I am able to write files and also read files successfully with the remote server. I followed the same method described above.I am using binary format itself for pdf files.But I have to check the option 'to delete files after successful retrieval' to make this happen.I created several partnerlinks with the option in the ftp adapter not checked,but it is not working. Has anybody done successful retrieval without deleting the files at the remote server? If so please let me know.
    Thanking in advance,
    Regards,
    Deepika.

  • Save physical channel information in a configuration file and reuse it in another VI

    Dear all,
    I would like to do a pair of VIs. The first VI configures all psychical channels and store the task information (or physical channel name information) in a file and the second VIs can access this file and use the saved information.
    Can anybody show me a good example of this type of application? I've prepare a simple code, but it does not work now. I am not sure if I am using the right functions.

    You can use Measurement I/O>>NI-DAQmx>>Advanced>>DAQmx Utilities>>DAQmx Flatten Channel String, and DAQmx Unflatten Channel String.
