Connect 2 new extreme in the same net.
Hello!
I have 2 new extreme and I want to connect them to expand the area of my wireless in the house.
But it does not seem to make me do this. it say that I have to change the net when I try to install the 2. one.
is there somebody who knows how to do this?
Step by step would be fine!

I just finshed replacing 2 expresses that I was using with my extreme with two extremes for a total of three extremes on my network. I upgrade mainly for the ability to share disk's at each location as well as having the additional ports. Cost difference of 70 bucks seemed trivial.
I set the first using the create network option.
I set up the 2 additional's using the extend a network option and using a ethernet cable. Keep in mind, that if you try to do this using only a wireles connection, you can't manage extreme's that are not part of you current network. You will have to join the network of the extreme you wish to add to your core network, then rejoin your core network to finish the config.
One thing I learned from this is that interface robustness is not compatiable with a multilple extreme network. As soon as you enable interface robusness, your extreme's will go off line.

Hi all -- looking for some expert advice. From a friend I can get an as-new 4th Gen (A1354) Airport Extreme base station for the same price as one of the new Airport Expresses. Any reason I should choose the new Express over the 4th Gen Extreme, aside from its smaller form factor?
Think as it this way, i just got my AirPort Extreme 5th Generation (yesterday free shipping and did it on Sunday noon) getting rid of our Linksys 310N which had 4ports running 100MPBS wireless 144MBPS on my laptop.
we have a xbox 360 (2006), DirectTV HD Demand, and my dads pc, thats 3 ports and thats all we need. my lptp with this new Extreme gave me a wireless speed of 300MBPS
and boosted our intenet 10x..speed roaming around 10-15mbps, now getting 21MBPS with the Extreme.
magining the same with Express. but to remind you, Express has 1 port, Extreme has 3 ports

Previously iChat had tried a Last Chat/IM option when using Saved Transcripts - which itself was an option.
iChat has also tried "Saving" the Last Chat by leaving a Chat window open and using something similar to the Lion method of showing an app in the state is was closed in.
In Messages the option to Save Transcripts has been removed and Chats or all types are saved as a matter of course.
What this tends to mean for your iChat style Buddy Chats is that it opens all the Transcripts for that buddy as a sort of History you can scroll back through if you want (I have some Buddies with saved chats gong back to 2004)
With the Syncing of iMessages with iPhones and iPads (or Touches) then it seems this works slightly differently.
Although you can delete the chat and the contents of the Chat as separate action it is true that in the Beta as soon as you connect to the same Contact that the contents of the previous chats are shown to you.
I have found that Messages stores a data base of info on iMessages in Your Home Folder/Library/Messages
I have found that deleting this chat-db removes the "History" that keep popping up.
By default the Saved "iChats" are also stored in the Home Folder/Documents/iChats (At least this is the default place iChat used and they go to the same iChats folder where ever you had it)
Some people claim removing iMessages saved here stops the "History" reappearing.
In Lion the only access to the Home Folder/Library is via the Finder's Go Menu and hiding down the ALT key

What "app cleaner software" ? I ask because installing Photoshop over a previous version has never been a problem. Perhaps your difficulty stems from another source, eg. "cleaner software" ?
If you look in your hard drive, at the root level there is a Library. In there is a folder called Application Support, and in that you will find a folder called Adobe. Files from your previous version are there.
However, I urge you to call Adobe support to make sure you are not doing anything that would mess up other Adobe applications.

Connect 2 BW to the same client in R3?

Is it possible to connect 2 BW to the same client of R/3 as a source system? Will this mess up the delta queue like in RSA7? Or, the R3 system has separate queue for each BW? Please advise.

Why are you not changing the username of the existing account, instead of deleting the existing one and creating a new one?
If you truly need to delete and create new, you can save the GUID for the mailbox (Get-MailboxStatistics <mailbox alias> | Fl MailboxGuid), mail disable the existing account (Disable-Mailbox <mailbox alias>
will work), clean the mailbox database it was hosted on (Clean-MailboxDatabase
<database name>), then create your new account and recover the existing mailbox to that new account (Connect-Mailbox -Identity <Guid from before> -Database <Database name> -User <SAM account name of new account> -Alias
<what you wish to set the alias to>). In PowerShell, for all steps, you would do the following:
$MbxAlias = <mailbox alias>
$NewMbxAcct = <SAM Account Name for new account>
$NewMbxAlias = <new alias for mailbox>
$DomCtrl = (dir env:\LOGONSERVER).Value.Substring(2)
$MbxGuid = (Get-MailboxStatistics $MbxAlias -DomainController $DomCtrl).MailboxGuid
$MbxDb = (Get-Mailbox $MbxAlias -DomainController $DomCtrl).Database
Disable-Mailbox $MbxAlias
Clean-MailboxDatabase $MbxDb

You will need to supply the information in bold in the above commands, and you will need to create the new account before you run the above commands. I include direct use of a specific domain controller so you won't need to worry about replication.
If you are changing the account from one domain to another, this will not help, and you will need to wait for replication throughout the process, running the commands individually. -
Connecting two WRT54GS to the same (wired) router (non-linksys)
Due to some security issue I have to connect two WRT54GS to the same wired router.
Do I connect the first WRT54GS to one port of the router and the second one to another port?
And is the connection on the WRT the ethernetport or the internetport?
And can I reach both the configuration screens or do I have to change the
adress of one of them to e.g. 192.168.1.2 ?

hENK.I will suggest you to connect the LAN port of wired router to LAN ports of both WRT54GS ........ Th connectino to WRT54GS is Ethernet Port ......
Regarding the Ip address of WRT54GS ..... change the Ip address of first wireless router from 192.168.1.1 to 192.168.1.2 ........make the DHCP service disabled ....
For the other router the Ip address would be 192.168.1.3 ...... DHCP service again disabled .........
For accessing the set up page of both router use the new Local Ip address.........on the explorer address bar ...... -

Connect Which Extreme to the Modem?
I just bought a new Airport extreme. My current wireless network is managed by an extreme that is +3 years old. Planning to use one of the extremes to extend my network on a different level of the house (not connected to a modem directly). Does it matter (in terms of performance) whether I use the new extreme or the three year old extreme as the primary network connection (connected to the DSL modem)?

If your older AirPort Extreme has simultaneous dual band capability, then you can add the "new" AirPort Extreme and it will extend both bands from your "old" AirPort Extreme.
3+ years is about the time that Apple started shipping simultaneous dual band AirPort Extremes, so your "old" Extreme may...or may not...include this function.
If you are not sure, post back with the model number of your AirPort Extreme and we can check. The model number is found on the bottom of the AirPort Extreme.
If your "old" AirPort Extreme is not simultaneous dual band capable, and you want to take advantage of this capability, you will need to connect the "new" AirPort Extreme to your cable modem. -

Yes, they can ... best way ist to backup your current device with iTunes and setting up the new iPhone from this backup ... iTunes will ask you this when you connect your new one for the first time ...

If I have an older version of Crystal Reports can I migrate them all to a newer version at the same time? Is there some documentation that will provide instructions? I dont' want to have to upgrade them one at a time.
Thanks - MikeThere is no utility that will do that for you. Not from SAP. Perhaps some 3rd party (google Ken Hamady), etc. Or, you could create an application in VS .NET or java to do it though.
But depending on what you are migrating from and what you are migrating to, you may not need to do any updating at all...

i am deleting files through my trash in my macbook pro (2010) and then emptying the trash can, but my hard disk space is not increasing! i recently upgraded to lion and the problem is new, wasn't the same with snow leopard! HELP!!!!!
When i press command+I (Get Info) i see that there is 140 GB "Available Space" on my hard disk but when i click on my hard disk icon on the desktop, and then press "space" i only see 102 GB free!! What the f*???
