Connect ipod to pc but nothing happens.

when I connect the ipod to the pc nothing happens, I've recently purchased new tunes but they wont transfer to the ipod. A mate recently purchased an ipod shuffle and he purchased music on my pc and synched his ipod with my library to transfer songs, would this cause a problem for me? any ideas would be greatly appreciated, cheers

I think the problem is that the iPod got set to Manually manage music and videos. It needs to be set up for automatic syncing again. Just unchecking that Manually manage music and videos setting does not do it.
In iTunes 12, select the iPod in iTunes (using the device button), so that you see the iPod's "management" screen. In the sidebar (along left side of screen), there are two headings (Settings and On My Device). Under Settings, click on Music. To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box at the top for Sync Music. That turns ON automatic syncing for music. Below that, choose the option to sync Entire music library (assuming your music library fits completely on your iPod). Otherwise, you can choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and make your selections below. Then click Apply.

IChat shows "Connecting..." but nothing happens

All of a sudden my iChat won't connect. It just shows "Connecting..." but nothing happens, not even a timout message.
I tried:
-- Running Disk Utility and Repairing Disk Permissions
-- Deleting the .plist and files in Preferences and Library
-- Deleting iChat items in Keychain
-- Connecting through port 443 instead of the default and also disabling SSL
-- Removing iChat and reinstalling from the Leopard DVD with Optional Installs
Nothing has worked. I tried connecting to my AIM and .Mac accounts through Adium and it works.
It's my AIM and .Mac accounts that won't work. I tried my Google Talk account in iChat and it works ok.
Disk Utility gives this:

Welcome to the  Discussions
When you start at the Discussion index Page you se folders next to the Category names.
When you get inside some categories you have the Forums at the top then a list of the most recent posts.
If you go to a thread directly you miss the top of the Forum where the "Post New Topic" spot is.
In a thread use the option to return to Topic List.
She will have to go to iChat menu > Preferences > Accounts and the Security tab and check she is Allowing the (Buddy's) Screen name. (And not Blocking it).
The other thing to check is to make sure the Screen Name is spelt right.
Can she see the Screen Name or other details in the Buddy List.

Try:
- iOS: Not responding or does not turn on
- Also try DFU mode after try recovery mode

- If not successful and you can't fully turn the iOS device fully off, let the battery fully drain. After charging for an least an hour try the above again.
- Try on another computer
- If still not successful that usually indicates a hardware problem and an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store is in order.

I didnt know it was also a card as well as a base station - i accept what you say about the airport extreme CARD internal emac technology being somehow connected to mini-VGA port - though i'm inclined to think it indicates the target models of emac rather than a direct technical inter-dependance - tho i stand corrected. Mine is a pre extreme airport card emac model, requiring only the Apple airport card which slotted under the panel of the superdrive.
re: Apple video adaptor M91096/A- my feedback here is :
1. There is no info on apple support docs about non compatability of this adaptor with emacs but there is for the (now defunct) Apple video adaptor M8734G/A - which is confusing.
2. The Apple video adaptor M91096/A has a mini-VGA connector which is misleading because these are only on certain older e/mac models - but it's wrong to assume that just because i/you have a mini-VGA port that it's going to work. People are automatically recommending the use of this adapter but not mentioning it's compatability issue in relation to the internal graphic card which is an issue nowhere plainly stated in any supoort docs or packaging but seems to be widley understood as the measure of if it will work or not.
3. There is mis-match in the names used to identify the ports and connectors in support docs.

says that the emac has a VGA port - but it is also (correctly ?) known as a 'mini-VGA' port.

Re: Rod's last post above - answer 2, - the 'scan convertor' set up would be because my tv is a glass tube style monitor (?) - but if i had an LCD or flatscreen - i'm assuming it would be plug and play. I've had a brief look at the world of scan convertors - it seems i could buy myself a cheap LCD monitor or even a new tv for the same price as a scan convertor !
3.Re: Rod's last post above - answer 2 - 'DVI output capable' meaning DVA via the MINI-VGA port because of more powerful graphics card ..? Because i can in/output DV via firewire and usb..

Installing laserjet cp 1525nw software "connect usb cable now" but nothing happens

My laserjet CP1525nw is connected by USB to my desktop PC and now I am trying to connect it to my laptop. I get to the point in the install process where it wants me to "connect the product" but when I connect the USB cord to the laptop nothing happens. My USB ports work fine for everything else and I have tried all three.

I am advised that an update is available but when I press the download button all that happens is that my macbook tells me it is connecting to the server but nothing happens.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

If you haven't already done so, try it by holding the on/off and home buttons at the same time until you see the Apple logo, then releasing.

I tired reboot the phone and placing the DFU BUT still the phone reverts back to itunes logo and ucb connection sceen

Place the device in DFU mode, connect to the computer and restore.

I bought a brand new iPod touch 2nd gen two days ago and as I was very excited to plug it into my computer, sadly, nothing happened. iTunes recognizes the device and can be seen under Devices, but NOTHING happens and there are no other functions to click on at all. The numbers identifying the router, etc. on my Ipad no longer appear there.
TThe Ipad guide says to connect to the WiFi use setup but I can't find the setup program in the Ipad.
I reset the network settings to the factory defaults but this doesn't fix the problem.
What can I do to reconnect to my home router?

Some things to try first:
1. Turn Off your iPad. Then turn Off (disconnect power cord for 30 seconds or longer) the wireless router & then back On. Now boot your iPad. Hopefully it will see the WiFi.
2. Go to Settings>Wi-Fi and turn Off. Then while at Settings>Wi-Fi, turn back On and chose a Network.

4. Go into your router security settings and change from WEP to WPA with AES.
5. Renew IP Address: (especially if you are droping internet connection)
    •    Launch Settings app

    •    In the window that opens, tap on the Renew Lease button

Have you tried connecting it to your computer and restoring the iPod via iTunes?
If iTunes does not see the iPod try placing the iPod in recovery mode and then restoring the iPod. For recovery mode see:
