Connecting BW to EP for SSO

Hi There All
I have three R/3 backends connected to our portal using SSo and all works fine. I got a request in to connect our BW system to EP so I duly followed the same principles that I used for connecting the R/3 systems and the tests from the portal work fine.
However I have created an iView called BW reports which basically calls the following URL:
http://<BW Server hostname> :8000/sap/bw/bex
When I preview this iView I get the logon screen appearing, I have tried other transaction codes and still I get the logon screen.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have now read extensive documentation from the following:

what baffles me is how custom login pages are to be defined for the 10g versions of AS.
in 10g (904) version, applications for SSO can be protected using mod_osso, and may be developed using mod_osso or using SSO-SDK which is deprecated from this version.
1. this means that if we do not have to use SSO-SDK (which is deprecated in 904 version) and where we need to protect applications using the mod_osso, then why do we need to use the custom pages.
2. how do the custom-defined deployment specific login pages or change-password pages work?
3. what is the role of SSO for partner applications if we do not configure it specifically.
any helpful hints or links would be highly appreciated.

It seems that SSO is for AppEx Application Authentication only. You can't specify which Database User your application will connect to the database with if you are authenticating using SSO.

I have a similar question. I have backed up my external hard drive through my computer, onto my TC. When I go into TM, it doesn't show the external hard drive unless it is connected to the computer. Can I access the info from the external hard drive that is on the TC if I don't have the hard drive plugged in? If so, how can I do that?

Or opens a new bower behind the one i'm usind that's blank i don't even know it's there untill i close the one i'm using. How do I prevent Firefox from connecting to google-analytics? I can't do that because the device was purchased from United Arab Emirates and I got it as a gift in Syria but the problem is that there is not even a single apple store in Syria so is there another way to fix that, I googled it and was told to jailbreak the device whitch I did and than hacktivated it but the problem is the device doesn't connect to any network and only shows "no service" and the battery draining too fast so is there any other way to fix this issue

Is there a way to connect an external speaker (for another room) through the headphone port & still hear sound through the internal speakers? System Preferences/Sound/Output or Sound Effects allows you to use one or the other -- headphones or internal speakers. I would like to have the option of hearing music through the internal speakers in one room, & through an external speaker in another room at the same time. I also do not want to frequently disconnect/reconnect the external speaker from/to the headphone port as I know over time the connection could become loose. (10.7.4 Lion)

Macbook Air only connects to the internet for a few seconds at a time.

My 2013 Macbook Air (10.8.5) will only connect to the internet for a few seconds. It recognizes the wifi, but will just timeout when trying to access a website. If I turn Wifi off and then back on, it will work for another few seconds, only for the same issue to come up. I've tried EVERY SINGLE troubleshooting tip I could find and nothing works. I've renewed DCHP, rebooted my Mac, rebooted the router, network diagnostics, everything. I've scanned with Sophos multiple times and nothing has been detected. My 2007 MacBook Pro works just fine on the network as well as my roommates Macbook and my Apple TV. I have no clue how to fix it and am praying someone knows what to do. Please help!

Start by getting rid of "Sophos," which is worse than useless.
Remove the Sophos product by following the instructions on this page, and also this one, if applicable. If you have a different version, the procedure may be different.
Back up all data before making any changes.

I have an ipod touch 3rd generation 64gb and it has iOS 5.1.1 and it will connect to my WiFi for a few seconds and then nothing will load. It says I have full connection bbut nothing works. I have 2nd generation ipod and it connects fine. Along with my laptop and xbox 360. I have tried downgrading it and restoring it from itunes. I also tried forgetting the network and inputting it myself but it sti does the same thing. I even tried resetting my wireless modem but it still didnt make a change. I really could use some help. I can't call apple cause im no longer under warranty.

Reset the iPod and connect to its syncing computer. It it shows in iTunes restore the iPod.
Next see if placing the iPod in recovery mod will allow iTunes t see the iPod so you can restore the iPod. For recovery mode see:

What is the process for connecting ethernet. Have ethernet cable connected to stereo received for internet radio and Blue Ray. However Network System Preferences indicates ethernet not connected and has red dot to left. Note Airport wireless is working.

It worked for me finally. I took out the DNS numbers in airport admin utility, and restarted the airport express. I do not remember putting the DNS numbers in, I wonder from where the airport express got those numbers.
After restarting, it worked.

How to permanently remove "This Connection is Untrusted" notification for all future websites everywhere forever?

Please read this entire post before answering since it addresses virtually all the most popular "solutions" for this problem and they DON'T WORK.

The moderator's blatant copy-paste response was an insult and not helpful at all.
My system date is ok and the cause of invalid certificate is the LEAST of my concerns. I just want to browse the website and not get ANY warnings about ANY invalid certificates or ANY risks involved, period. All popular workarounds with settings/advanced/validity properties have been tried but none of them fix this for me. I want FF to accept all invalid certificates instantly without notification or warning, no matter what.
I want to remove the warning screen "This Connection is Untrusted" permanently for all future references, so that I don't even see any errors related to it when I browse a website.
I'm not here to argue the merits or lack thereof for this action, I just want to get rid of it.
I'm running a lot of custom software on my comp and I have 3 LAN cards connecting me to 3 different networks with varying degrees of security and this notification is a huge pain in the... back, because it eats my time every day.
I've been using Firefox for years exactly because it didn't have stuff like this in the past - I could visit all the funny/suspicious/malicious websites without problems, where IE would have died 10 times over. Sadly that FF feature began changing to the worse in the past years, an ever-increasing slope downwards for this once great web browser.
I KNOW all the risks involved and I don't care. In fact I encourage websites to try and install "stuff" on my computer because as I mentioned, this is a special computer. I'm visiting 40-50 websites with that prompt DAILY because that's what I do for a living. Every time I have to add an exception is a wasted effort and time. I'm running other browsers as well but FF is my focus due to its popularity.
Please for the love of all that is sacred, provide some sort of workaround for this without the need to install an addon or click "I understand the risks" a gazillion times. An "about:config" variable would be nice but apparently it's not there, I looked.

That is not possible as that would expose you and other Firefox users to unacceptable security vulnerabilities.
The normal procedure is to contact the website maintainer and ask them to fix the certificate chain or install missing root certificates in Firefox and set the trust bits accordingly.
If you do not care about certificates then why don't you install proxy software and use that proxy and let it handle the certificates and import the root certificate of that proxy in Firefox?

The scene is simple : I got a software (All in plain java ) and some simple web access to this system. ( it's not a real web server wich will be in need for Apache or some big container it's just a few access to some informations of the software )
The client company is all MS Windows, and it's used to some SSO approach,
they got a AD server on Win2003, all laptops are under winXP Pro and got IE at least version 6
Now The question is this ;
I got
-a guy (properly authentified) who is
- using IE (properly setted)
- on a computer (properly attached to AD)
to access a ressource URL of my app
It's quite simple to send him a http 401 or 407 so IE go back to the AD server and get its token
BUT how can I manage in java to extract the account used by the client
from the SPENEGO token ? this is all I need
I cant find any help on this, So please if someone can help me in this...
