Connecting Ipad air to itunes

I have been using itunes on my computer for a long time and i just purchased an Ipad, but it itunes will not recognize it. how do i do that?

Do you meet these minimum requirements in order to sync the iPad with your computer?

I can't see the Home Pages view when syncing my IPad Air with iTunes

I have transferred about 80 apps from my previous ipad2 by syncing the new iPad Air in iTunes (using the USB connection). The Home Screens view in the Apps tab of iTunes does not show the individual pages, so I cannot regroup my Apps into logical groups.
There is a momentary flash on the screen showing what looks like a Home page, then it vanishes to show a blank view.
Both the iPad Air (64GB, wifi & cellular) and my copy of iTunes are up-to-date.

Interestingly this seems to have sorted itself.
When I was trying it yesterday, it was my first syncing of the new iPad Air, and the Home Pages were not visible in iTunes.
Today I reconnected and carried out an automated backup, then when I selected the Apps tab - there were all the Home Pages.
Not sure why this should happen, but - problem solved!

Can see iPad Air in iTunes but will no longer sync or back up, could 2 days ago. Can drag apps from library onto device however 'apply' is not available, nor is 'sync' under Devices.

Disconnect other USB devices from your computer and connect iPad to a different USB 2.0 port on your computer (not on your keyboard).
Turn iPad off and turn it on again. Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button on top of iPad for a few seconds, until a red slider appears. Then slide the slider.
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button until the Apple logo appears.
Restart your computer. Then reconnect iPad to your computer.
Download and install (or reinstall) the latest version of iTune

I think there's a big ol' discussion in the Mavericks forum about this - some folks have suggested setting up your own CalDAV server so you can continue syncing without having to route things through iCloud.
It may be simpler to go back to Mountain Lion or Lion (assuming you were on either of those). My syncing computer is on Lion and can't go higher so I didn't realize until recently that USB syncing over contacts & calendars was no longer available!

When Syncing New iPad Air 2 iTunes Shows "other" file of 49gb

After setting up and syncing my new 128gb iPad Air 2 ; iTunes now shows a 49gb of "other" but my iPad shows this as available space.
What could be the "other" file be and how do I remove it? This keeps preventing me from syncing any changes to this ipad.

How to transfer photo FROM pc [Wn 7] TO iPad air using iTunes

I can not find a step by step instruction on transferring photos "from" computer to my iPad air. I had it working at one point. So I know it is possible.
I find instruction that only get me part way . . like make sure you have latest update,, then follow instruction. Never see any instruction. I do not care to have iCloud Photo Sharing. I can take pictures with iPad and get them uploaded to my pc. I have jpeg photos on pc that I would like to take with me on my iPad. Like I said I did get 1 pic. at one time from pc to ipad.

Connect the iPad to your computer and select it in your computer's iTunes, and on the left-hand side of the iTunes screen select its Photos tab (this screenshot is from a Mac, it should be similar on a PC) :
You should then be able to use the right-hand side of the iTunes screen to select the photos that you want to copy from your computer to the iPad's Photos app.
You will have to select and sync all the photos that you want from your PC together in one go - synced photos can't be deleted directly in the Photos app, instead they are deleted by not including them in the next sync.

Transferring PDF's from Ipad 1 to new Ipad air using itunes on a pc

I have several pdf documents on my old ipad 1 and want to transfer them to my new ipad air. When I connect my old ipad 1 to itunes ( on a pc ) and click on the books tab under my ipad 1 and then sync books and when I go to the Library there is no place that I can find that shows my pdf documents. Where are these documents stored on my pc itunes and how do I get them on my new ipad air? I have seen similar questions like this but they all are about using a Mac as the main computer and I can not find anything regarding using itunes on a pc to do this transfer. Error message states a time out. I have loaded the complete backup file of my old ipad on the new ipad air.
Though I connected the ipad air with my apple computer wih a cable, I received the error message again and again.

Connect Ipad Air to CRT TV

Hi,
I have a Ipad Air and i want to connect it to my old TV. I look to a component AV cable and seems that only works with old Ipad versions.
Is there any cable that suport that kind of connection?

You might look to see if there's some sort of converter or adapter. I don't have a lot of experience with Apple TV so not sure what outputs it has, but there may be gadgets or gizmos that might help.
Do you have a Radio Shack or similar around? Might be a place to look.
No guarantee if what you cobble together may work though. A low end flat screen TV is less than $200, so you may need to weigh the cost of macgyvering something vs buying a TV that accommodates the supported iPad outputs.

Cannot connect iPad Air to VGA Monitor

Hi,
I received n Ipad Air for Christmas so gave away my old gen 1 Ipad, now I am beginning to wish I hadnt as there are so many problems!
One I am trying to resolve right now is very iportan as I have aconference to attend and need to connect the ipad to a std PC VGA monitor to output video (I cannot use airdisplay or wireless connectivity). I have a STD PC monitor here which worked fine ith my 1st Gen Ipad and i bought a lightnng convertor for my VGA adaptor but hen connected ot the mobitor I get nothing. Have tried every permutation of on/off of monitor and Ipad to no avail.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

sorry, to clarify, I had an adaptor for my Gen 1 Ipad to VGA and that used to work fine, when I got the Ipad Air the Apple store sold me a lightning adaptor which goes from the Ipad Air to the Gen 1 VGA adaptor and I pug the VGA cale into that original Gen 2 Adaptor, does that make sense now? The idea being so that I could use the orginal VGA adaptor from my Gen1 Ipad which was a much cheaper option hat buying a whole new adaptor. Do you think I was sold the wrong thing then?
