Connecting Vizio smart tv to ATT WIFI
Unable to connect my VIZIO smart tv to my att wifi using wifi key from my computer or by using the VIZIO tv menu, any suggestions?
What's the issue that you happen to be experiencing? Is there any kind of error message you're receiving?
If you're getting incorrect password messages, confirm that you're typing in the correct password. Confirm by looking on the side of your gateway for the default wireless password(typically on a yellow sticker). Don't forget that wireless passwords are case sensitive.

What model is your TC? What is the firmware?
I recommend you do a factory reset and use short names.. not apple recommended names.
Short.. 2-20 characters .. less than 10 even better.
No spaces.
Pure alphanumeric.
Set fixed channels for 2.4ghz wireless.. test with 11, 6, 1 at least.
That often helps.. if not and is old, ie Gen1-4 go back to 7.6.1 firmware which is far more solid. -
Vizio smart Tv won't stay connected to my linksys e1200 while playing Netflix
I have a Vizio Smart TV and just over the last couple of days I cannot seem to get it to stay connect to my Linksys e1200 router. I will start a movie on Netflix and it will play for about 10 minutes and then disconnect. I talked to somebody in Cisco Linksys Customer support and they said that the problem had something to do with IP Addresses. I have no idea what he was talking about. All I know is last week I could watch an entire movie without losing connection and this week it only stays connect for 10 minutes and then I have to turn the TV off to re-connect.
Ideas?
ThanksUmman, is your Smart TV wirelessly connected to the router? There may be an interfering wireless signal in the area that interrupts the connection. Try changing the router's wireless channels to avoid interference.

All you have to do is connect all the devices to a wifi router and then when you open the stock player on your phone it will give you a option to switch the player and your blueray player will show in the list, select it from list and it will be transferred automatically to the TV...
Also you can set a Windows 7 PC to share the files with player and then you can play movies and music from your PC in another area of the house. -
EA 6200 & other EA series connectivity to "smart" TV
There is a known issues about the connectivity with my "smart" TV (ie: LG LM 8600) which is already known and discussed in other forum (http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1958013).
My issues is that my TV could only connected to my old linksys E1200 ethernet wired connection without any problem. However, when I upgrade to EA 6200 few months ago, I have tried both gigabit wired and wireless (2.4 & 5) connection and they all disconnect after a period of time. I have complained this matter to LG but they never response as usual.
I know the culprit is the TV. But is there anyway to set the wired connection to 100mb ehternet instead of gigabit just like my E1200 with DD-WRT where they could set the limitation of each Lan port?
Besides, in considering sustainable environment, could Linksys has the options of scheduled power on and off in the next firmware?
Cheers!Ya, theres a recent post about a Samsung TV however thats a WiFi adapter issue on the TV. We presume that if other devices on the router connect and work well that this pariticular TV is the problem. There isn't a LAN port speed setting and most ruoters are always automatic in this regard and lays this feature ability at the foot of the client side HW if Mfrs choose to support this feature. The only other way to test your TV out on the LAN and stepping down from GB to 100Mb is to install a external 100Mb network LAN switch then test. Another option might be to install a 100Mb LAN supporting wireless bridge on the TV then you could connect the bridge to the routers WiFi.

Vizio smart tv will not let me get to the airport utility router
I recently installed a Airport Express router, it works great for all of the computers in our home. However, I have a Vizio Smart TV and can not log in to watch Netflix or any of the other installed apps. When I set up the Network I can select the correct network and connect but will not go thru the final step of reaching the router. I tried plugging into the router with an ethernet cable and it worked perfect, but will not go through wirelessly.

Since I've instaled the Airpor express, everithing connected to it works properly, My wifi network signal is good and I able to browse with my mac air, bu with my I-phone 4S even though the signal apears to be good and on the it shows is connected to my wifi network I can't open any web-site, instead I keep getting the same message: "Cannot Open Page - Safari could not open the page because the server stopped responding.", wich is not true because I'm connected with my lap-top. The sound wifi system works perfectly but reggarding the wifi on my 4S I've tried changing through different chanels on the Airport (I saw people were having the same problem and aparently by changing the channels on the Airport the internet on the phone worked properly, but I'm still stuck with a brand new I-phone unable to opem my pages) I've also tried changing the Radio modes and still nothing.

I want to connect my iphone to imac on wifi. Actually i want to use internet on my iphone. So how can i do this ?If you have a wifi router you can set up/turn on the wifi... set the user name and password wifi in your router... open wifi in general settings on the iPhone... log into your router, user name and password. (If your don't know how to turn on the router wifi. Google the router make and model and you will find instructions on how to do this.)
If you don't have a wifi router and your Mac has wifi capabilities you can hookup to the internet over wifi from your Mac to your iPhone.
System Preferences on the Mac... Network... Wifi... Advanced tab... Hit the '+' to add a user name and password...
Make sure you use WPA2 Personal for Security... Hit ok... Turn on the wifi... Same as above with the iPhone, log into your wifi settings on the iPhone.
*Important point... Use WPA2 for the encryption/Security setting. If you use anything else for this setting, your wifi can be hacked. -
I can't connect to my school's free wifi. i was able to do it before but not anymore i get the self assign ip addrees message .it has no password only a pop up window before you connect to agree to school terms for wifi use. i don't get that window anymore. i tried everything I can think of. It is a 2010 macbook pro but i recentrly updated to osx lion and even with lion it was working fine so I nkow it is not the update. also Im able to connect to other internets at home it works great. starbucks too. but i became so frustated that i reset my computer to manufactuter setting and reinstall snow leopard on it. still I cant connect. I need help please i have been searching all over the web for help and i see people has been having this same problem for years now.. oh yeah and i know it is not the internet cuz there are other macs connecting to it without a single problem so i think it is an isolated problem plase help....i have follow many advises such as delete the internet from your prefered netwoks. restar your commputer etc etc.
Be sure Safari does not have the Block Pop-Up Windows preference set.
Where I work now there are several unencrypted VLANs that require authentication, and Safari promptly pops up a window for me to register every time. -
MacBook Pro won't automatically connect to my Time Capsule for WiFi
My 2012 MacBook Pro (non-retina) won't automatically connect to my Time Capsule for WiFi. I had issues with my Comcast router before, and i reset my time capusle a few times, is that th reason why now everytime i wake my macbook up it dosent automtically connect?

Why do I lose connection to my wireless network ATT Uverse but my iPod and iPad do not?
I am connecting to the internet through ATT U-verse and have had a problem with my Macbook Pro not being connected when other Apple devices are connected. Did not have this problem before, but it is iratating as it forces me to restart the ATT modem each time it happens. Is it possible that Lion is causing the problem. MacBook is about one year old.

When I press the iTunes button on my ipod touch I get the message 'cannot connect to iTunes store' . My wifi is working fine, I can connect to safari & you tube, no parental setting in place, and time and date are correct. Can anyone help please? I have restored my ipod to factory settings and rest it.
I also tried moving the date forward by a year and then moving it back to normal and it still doesn't work. i can't find an automatic update of time zones on my itouch to turn this off.

My ipod will not connect to my home wifi, it can see it and asks for a password but will not connect. I have tried it at another location and it will connect to other wifi connections. I have another ipod that is connecting just fine to my home wifi.

I bought a brand new iPad 3 and an Apple TV, both connected to the same wpa protected wifi network from home. It worked for a day, but when I woke up, the Apple TV couldn't be found anymore by either iPad, MacBook or iPhone. Anybody a solution for this?
Thanks for the swift reply, I have been looking online and a loose plug seems to be somewhat of an issue with many, I hope mine is actually a problem and not what others are experiencing. It's taken me this long to even reach out for the simple fact I HATE being a complainer but this is just horrible.
