Connection drops while publishing - partial drafts are published

I can connect fine and the program seems to work fine until I
try to Publish Drafts.... it looks like it is working publishing
changes but then hangs on the top update bar about half-way through
----the lower "Waiting for Server" bar moves slowly before finally
popping out an error message that the server is either down or not
accepting connections.. (which isn't the case because I'm connected
fine before trying to publish and can reconnet with no apparent
problems). Its only when I click "Publish" that this happens.....
and it starts publishing changes before timing out and dropping...
and the kicker...
it actually does publish some of the changes to the site ---with
errors --- parts I
didnt change or touch get messed up... so everything is
really messed up now and I need the draft to FULLY publish.... so
it looks like the draft.........hellllp ... please!!!

One of my clients gets a similar error message, something
like:
'You cannot publish this page because the server is down or
is not accepting connections'
Like you, I know the server is fine, as I can connect. Please
can anyone shed any light on what to do here?

Try a diffrent Ethernet cable there might be smething wrong with that one. Also turn of wifi on both of the computers.

Broadband connect drops constantly

I have connection drops at least 10-15 times a day. The lights on the HUB remain blue. I have to restart the HUB which fixes the problem. It is not the type of service I should have to pay for. Have called BT about this 5 times, and they aways tell me to go in settings and change the channel. That solves the problem for all of 60 mins and then the drops happen again. BT sent a new HUB a while ago, but the problem remains. I am sure its the line, but BT states that their tests show no line intrference. I am reaching the end of my patience. Can anyone help please?

Hello, thanks for the quick response and advice. Yes, it the wireless connection that keeps dropping (at least 25 times yesterday). I have gone into the router settings and changed channels multiple times, refreshed channels, unfortunately none of this helped.
Have downloaded inssider2, from running it, i see a mssive spaghetti of networks, but i have been able to isolate mine and have chosen an optimal channel (fingers crossed)
Tried the quiet line test, and the line is silent
I am connected to the master socket. No phone extensions in the home.

Wired Internet connection drops since 10.5.7

Since installing the 10.5.7 update I've had trouble with my Internet connection dropping while I'm using it. I have a wired connection and have checked the cables and the router port and there doesn't seem to be a physical problem. I'll be browsing the Internet and without warning it will suddenly stop working. A minute or two later it will have recovered. This happens every few minutes and it's very aggravating.
I do not use a wireless connection and have turned off Airport.
When the connection drops, I am unable to ping the router. If I run ifconfig I see it has a 169.254.x.x address. Once the system recovers, I can once again ping the router and the IP number is what the router assigns.
I ran cat /var/log/system.log and here is an excerpt:

I don't know if the problem is related to an incompatibility with VMware Fusion or not. I have both Windows and Linux virtual machines on this Mac. I'm not actively using VMware when I have the connectivity problem.

New to this forum. Landed here because of airport issues after 10.5.7. update.
Airport could not connect to my network, but it detected other networks.
I tried some steps suggested in this thread but it didn't work. Then I looked into my router and disabled the "hide accespoint" option. That worked. Airport connected immidiatly. I restarted and still had connection. I then enabled the "hide accespoint" option, restarted, had to log in manualy ("connect to other network"), gave my networkname and password and until now everything works okay.
Maybe the 10.5.7. update chanched something in the airport//router setting/visability.

Can't publish draft, are there known server/hoster issues?

Hi there,
I'm using ICE for a site I created, but every time I try to publish my draft, it keeps telling me there's a new version of the page and that it has to reload it.
I'm the only one working on the site as it is still in testing fase, so nobody else can make changes to it but me.
If I try to publish the draft after I reload, I get the same message over and over again...
Are there known issues with hosters or types of servers where ICE doesn't work? I'm using Servage hosting in Europe at the moment.
A while ago I had the same problem with another site, when I changed servers, to one that wasn't hosted by Servage, everything worked much better. Still not in the way I was hoping for, but much better. Fortunately this was a site that didn't have to go online, it was just to demonstrate ICE on a convention in Holland.
I hope somebody has an answer, because I really want to use ICE on this site I'm making now. This site has to go online eventually.

I also have the same problem if I want to edit the pages. It keeps telling me there's a new version of the page and that it needs to reload. Does anybody else have the same problem. Maybe one time in 50 times it goes to edit mode and 1 time in a 100 it publishes the draft. This doesnt make me very happy:-(

As note already on the iBA forum [ AppleID for ibooks publishing ], you need two IDs. You can't use your developer ID.
If you already signed up for books with that ID, you need to talk to Apple to straighten things out.

Save conflict while trying to save or publish a SPD 2013 workflow (SP 2013 version)

Hi all, I have a problem while trying to develop a SharePoint 2013 workflow. I'm able to create a new workflow for a list (to save it) and I can confirm that it can run. Unfortunatelly, when I try to modify It (either just after creation or when opening
it later) I get an error while saving or publishing:
Errors were found when compiling the workflow. The workflow files were not saved.
Save conflict
Your changes conflict with those made concurrently by another user. If you want your changes to be applied, click Back in your Web browser, refresh the page, and resubmit your changes.
ULS doesn't show anything helpful but the same message with lots of stack trace pointing to a file save conflict.
Today, by accident I discovered that the workflow could be saved after it was open in SPD for nigth so I expect there may be some time lockout like when you access a document in a library from another domain (hope it's only 30 minutes).
I tried to re register the workflow service and even reinstalling and reconfiguring the workflow manager. This problem was present without the service bus and workflow CU, but now I have them installed as well.
Any suggestions?
Update:
I managed to publish the workflow after performing following steps:
1. Open the workflow and make modifications (save conflict occurs when trying to publish)
2. Reset IIS
3. Publish workflow (the workflow is saved successfuly)

According to your post, my understanding is that you got “save conflict” error while trying to save or publish a SharePoint Designer 2013 workflow.
Please check whether the Central Admin > Manage Service Application-> “App Management Service” is started.
Please check whether the “Configure service application associations”, ”App Management Service” is already associated.
Then please check whether the “Manage Services on server” and the “App Management Service” is started.
If all the service are started, add executionTimeout property in web.config file to increase the timeout interval(Make a copy of the web.config file before editing anything).

In addition, if you develop a too complex workflow and try to compile it in SharePoint Designer then you might get the error if your workflow exceeds the complexity limit. To fix the error you will have to redesign and break them into multiple workflows
to achieve the business functionality.

I did. I had a VM that was not experiencing the problem. I took a snapshot and tested the patches one by one. Installing only KB3023266 immediately caused the issue to occur (after reboot). A similar process was used to confirm that
installing KB2675611 resolved the problem.
Note that I found the installation of KB2675611 is usually quick, but it took several hours hours to install on some of our systems. We had installed this patch a few months ago on a couple of servers and it was always quick to install. But,
it seems like installing it on a symptomatic system can cause it to take a long time.

Captivate 6 randomly dropping imported audio from slides during publish.

I think I remember this occurring in 5.5 as well, but only very occasionally. In this (my first) cp6 project, it's occurred 3 times already.
What occurs is that upon viewing the output (.exe), one slide will just not play the audio imported to it, although the slides before that one and the slides after it play their imported files.
I have re-published the project 6 times, and in two of those new publishes, it has dropped audio in a different slide, and played the audio on the slide where it previously did not play audio.
The imported files play just fine in all slides during preview in every case, so it seems to be occuring at publish. These are straight Audio > Import to > Slide wav files.
Anyone else see this?
At this point I just have to keep re-publishing until I get one that plays all files and call it a day.

I finally got around to updating to 6.0.1.240 this morning.
The audio issue seems to still be there....it still drops imported audio from certain sildes, randomly. It changes with every publish.
THEORY: I noticed that on one of the slides where audio didn't play, the audio file contained a small silent region before the narration began. Maybe .3 or .5 seconds. I removed that silent portion so that the narration starts almost immediately (i.e. less than .2 second seconds of silence.) and for that slide, the audio did play at publish. So perhaps something in the playback exe is ignoring any audio that starts "too late" into the slide.... ?
I am now going back to check the audio files in every slide to remove any preceding silent passaages, and see if that cures this. Will update with my findings.
Another issue I noticed is that my background loop randomly stops playing. (This may have been in the previous build, too, not sure.) Not sure if this is in any way related.
If I pause and un-pause, the background music returns (starts at beginning of loop), and then stops again.. I verfied that "Loop Audio" is turned on.

Bridge drops while connected to Playbook and Z10.

I have a Z10 10.1 software with Telus and the updated Playbook software.
when im bridged to the playbook the bridge connection drops once and a while. There are no other bluetooth connections around when I am in my home that could be interferring...
Are there any issues with the bridge connection?

As I understand you are unable to publish the PO Number which you converted in R/3 after deployment run in APO .
Check for the purchasing group in APO product master , this should have been CIF from R/3 Material Master .
Also the queue should have been generated in R/3 where the transaction should be stuck , check the error message in the queue .

Never had this problem previously running a Macmini Server 2010 with the latest Mavericks Updates
Tried reinstalling over my existing OS and seemed ok until I once again updated to the latest security and Safari updates
Any ideas ?

I also forgot to note that this problem also persists with the new iBooks application. I cannot get past the 'Get Started' screen or access the iBooks Store. Again, all top bar menus are unresponsive.

Solution
To implement the solution, please execute the following steps:
1. Apply Patch 6165466 when it is released.
2. Test your report.

What's the graphics file format of the imported image files?
What conversion have you specified for the output, assuming that ePub workflow is similar to XML and HTML, where image destruction is controlled by:
File > Utilities > HTML Setup

File Format for Images:
(_) GIF (_) JPEG (_) PNG
{any new choices in FM11?}
And since FM converts image formats for some workflows, those files have to reside somewhere, so access and permission problems could arise.
