Connection problems: sent to Apple

Question

In order to make iChat more reliable and to have less connection errors, I suggest we all hit the button " Sent to Apple" as much as possible, so Apple can fulfill its promis.

Well, let me tell you how my network is and that it works great!
1) I have my cable modem hooked directly to my TC by Ethernet as it sounds like you do.
2) I am also on a true 5 GHz 802.11n network... not 2.4 GHz "g" network! If you do have a new MacBook as I do, it is "n" ready. I had first setup a "g" network because I have an older iMac that is only "g", and it was really slow to transfer files to my TC.
3) So that is when I created a dual-band network. But I would only set up a dual-band network if you have a mix of "n" and "g" Macs, which I don't think you do? (to read more about dual-band, Apple talks about it in the PDF called designing a network)
4) Then my AppleTV is setup through iTunes on my MacBook. It works great, and on my "n" network, transfer is really fast between my AppleTV, MacBook, and TC. I am able to transfer a 500 meg file in about 90 seconds! I also transferred my 110 gigs of iTunes video to my TC for my MacBook to link to, to get it off my hard drive.
5) When I first tried copying files from my MacBook to TC by ethernet, I made sure to turn off my MacBook's WiFi. Just to make sure it was going by ethernet.
6) When I used the Apple Utility to setup my TC, I just followed it's automated settings. I didn't touch about any of the other settings, other then to make sure I selected a true "n" work, not a "g" compatible. I don't have the instructions in front of me now, but I think I recall where you select the 802.11 network speed (n, g, etc.), if you hold down the option key as you click on the pop-up menu, you'll see the "n" option.
