Connection to content repository fails with saphttpa

Hi all,
We have configured all the archive link settings including content repository. When displaying the documents through "Links" , then a url is constructed and sent to our server for displaying the document. But archive link uses "SAPHTTPA" as RFC_destination by default which forwards this call through SAP Application Server as default setting ie saphttp.exe is executed on SAP application server.
We get connection failed exception when HTTP_GET gets executed. But if we change the setting for SAPHTTPA to "FrontEnd Workstation" in SM59,then it works fine , ie when saphttp.exe is executed from SAP client machines we get the request properly in our apache server.
Can anybody please help !!
We are in a crisis because of this.
Thanks in advance
Neha

Hi Ravi
I really wanted to know whether I need to configure a RFC destination in SM59 to enable SAP Application Server to call our jsp on Apache at port 80 which is on some other machine. SAP Application server is on Solaris and from the application server I can ping the machine hosting our OmniDocs Server as well as telnet to port 80 also runs fine. But when I try to run the command :
saphttp.exe http://IP:80/omnidocs/sap/sapDocView.jsp , then I get an error like :
RFC Accept error
CPIC
no service name in argument list.
Please help !!
thanks a lot for replying

    Hi,
I have ODI 11g installed on my machine and Oracle Database 11g express edition on my machine.
I created master and work repository using the Repository Creation Utility (RCU) successfully.
I want to connect to work repository in ODI. I am able to connect to Master repository but when I try to connect Work repository I am getting timeout issue given below.
When I click on Select Work Repository option, I could select the work repository but during the connection it is failing.
I am using user SUPERVISOR (Default Password) SUNOPSIS.
Also I am able to connect to DB using SQL Developer successful.
Below are the some more connection details :

    Driver Name: oracle.jdbc.OracleDriver
    Url : jdbc:oracle:thin:@localhost:1521:xe
In the URL I tried IP Address as well as PC name still same error is coming.

  • Indexing Lotus Repository fails with an exception

    Hi,
I am trying to index a lotus repository. But after indexing around 10000 documents the indexing fails with an exception.
"Crawler global_index_Telstra Technology Doc Library failed - com.sapportals.wcm.service.xcrawler.XCrawlerException: crawler task INDEXMANAGEMENT_global_index.409bc343-1a86-2710-0292-b5747d8b1241 terminated unexpectedly (retriever failure)"
Does anyone have an idea why its happening like this
    Its a bit urgent
    Regards
    Prakash

    Hi Prakash,
assuming your intrante sites are crawled by a crawler profile "for Web-RM" the most common things you may still need to do are:
    - In the crawler parameters, Mark "Follow Links (or Redirects on Web-Sites)", if your start page(s)
    - On the intranet sites, check if they use robot information that says "noindex" or "nofollow" and possibly change that
If that does not help...sorry, it's OSS again.

  • Oracle EBS content repository integration with UCM(Web Center)

    Hello,
have any one try to user Oracle EBS content repository to integrate with UCM (Web Dav or Web serice) is this supported method to keep attachmnets forom FND_BLOB to Web Ceneter, Where I can find  any documntation
    Thank you

Didn't see the link in your post. may have been stripped.
if you want to use the ebs native attachment lists, what we've done is used a custom bpel composite to load items into the appropriate entity in the fnd_documents and all of those other related ebs tables. this takes webcenter out of it for the most part. you could also load links, similar to the imaging solution's approach. this way, again, uses the ebs attachments, but stores the image in IPM (in the imaging case, that is). there is a link loaded into the fnd tables.
if you want to leverage the ebs-side attachment lists, managed attachments may not be the approach you want to take. You may want to look into the imaging solution or creating a custom process.

  • SQL Developer connect to RAC12c (Basic) failed with ORA-01017 invalid username/password; logon denied

I'm using scan in hostname to connect as Basic that failed ORA-01017.  I'm using the same credential system to logon from sqlplus and is fine.
    Any ideas?

Essentially all you have said is: help me, I have a problem.
    1. full version of sql developer being used
    2. full version of Java SDK being used
    3. full version of JDBC jar file being used
    4. full details on the connection information being used
    5. full version of the Oracle client being used
    6. confirm that both your sql*plus and sql developer connections were made from the SAME machine
A Basic connection uses the thin driver while sql*plus is using OCI

  • Connection to Apps EUL fails with Disco 4

    Hi all,
anyone has a hint for me what the problem might be?
    - I want to connect to an applications EUL with Discoverer 4
    - I checked the 'connect to Oracle Applications EUL' box
    - I filled in GWUID en FNDNAM
    - I checked the user and password works in applications itself
Still, when i try to connect, i get the error message that user/password is incorrect.
    I am out of ideas.
    Any help is highly appreciated

    Hi Sandra
Are you using Desktop or 4i?
I am going to assume that you are using Desktop and that you have everything setup correctly inside Tools | Options.
In order to connect to Apps you need to have a secure folder on your machine and place a copy of the dbc file for the Apps server into that folder. The file is usually named after the instance so that if it is called PROD the file will be prod.dbc. Your DBA should be able to get it for you.
Next, you create a folder called c:\oracle\secure on your hard disk and place the dbc file into that folder.
The final step would be to create an environment variable called FND_TOP which points at the c:\oracle folder (not the secure folder). On an XP machine use this workflow:
    1. From the Start button use Start | Settings | Control Panel
    2. If in Category mode (pretty icons) switch to classic view
    3. Double-cick System
    4. Click the Advanced tab
    5. Click the Environment Variables button
    6. Click the New button in the top half of the screen
    7. In Variable Name enter FND_TOP
    8. In Variable Value enter c:\oracle
    9. Click the OK button twice
If you try connecting again you should be able to authenticate.
    Best wishes
    Michael

  • Connection to text datasource fails with REP-4100

I built a Report with text datasource; doing like the "how to" document tells:
(set up the textpds.conf, attach text datasource to the report)
I use the file:///&<p_file> user parameter to define the datasource file and location like described in this reports forum
"Dynamic name for Text Pluggable Data Source".
Using report builder everything works fine; I can change the location of text datasource via user parameter as I need.
Porting the report to production environment (unix) and using the rwservlet the Report fails.
REP-4100: Failed to execute data source
    java.lang.NullPointerException
Has Anyone an idea how this can resolved?
    Thanks a lot
    Jost

    Just found the solution myself:
I need to pass the &<p_file> parameter value without "file:///"
    only "C:/myhomedir/text.txt"
    or "/usr/home/myhomedir/x.txt" on unix platform.
Parameter passing via URL also works.

I am able to see the WebCenter Content Server using URL http://localhost:16200/cs.I have already enabled FrameworkFolders at AdminServer->Component Manager->Folders.
I want to see the contents in Content Repository through the Jdev connection and build my page according to that.
    Please help me out.
    Appreciate your help.
    Thanks,
    Gaurav.

    Hi,
Thanks a lot for your reply.
In my case, when I go to http://localhost:16200/cs,this opens Oracle Web Center Content page ,then from there,I go to Administration->Admin Server, this opens up Oracle Web Center Content Admin Server.Further I go to Component Manager->Folders (Radio Button),here I see FrameworkFolders(CheckBox),I don't see Folders_g.
I have already checked FrameworkFolders and restarted UCM server, but that was of no use.
    Am I missing anything ?
    Please help me.
    Thanks,
    Gaurav.

  • Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager failed with error code 0xC0202009 using DB2 connection

I have a SSIS project that I am newly running on the SQL server (2005) .  It was previously run on my PC.  I am importing data from a DB2 server to the SQL server.
I am in the SA group on the server
    My connection to DB2 works
When open the package and run it in preview mode, I can retrieve the data.
When I execute the package I get the below errors:
[MIDAS OLE DB Source [1]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "NGMDSPA.alharris" failed with error code 0xC0202009.
[DTS.Pipeline] Error: component "MIDAS OLE DB Source" (1) failed validation and returned error code 0xC020801C.
What I have already done that has not worked:
The original Protection level was set to EncryptSensitiveWithPassword.
I have reset the Package Password.
I have set the protection level to DontSaveSensitive
I saved the package on the server and set a Package Password.
I created a new package, set the Protection level to DontSaveSensitive, set a package password in a configuration file using the Package Configuration Wizard.
    Error continues

Yes.  The Drivers are installed and I have a successfull connection.  I am trouble shooting the issue on the server in BIDS.  I can connect to the DB2 server via the Connectionmanager.  I can also preview the data in the OLE
DB source connection.  Therefore I know that I have a proper connection
If you're setting option as DontSaveSensitive then you need to pass the connection information from configuration file/ config table. Otherwise it wont be able to use it for connecting to your source/destination servers. This is the recommended way as it
will enable you to change connection info at runtime.
If you want connection info to persist you need to use protection level as EncryptSensitiveUsingUserKey or EncryptSensitiveUsingPassword and set a password.

  • The AcquireConnection method call failed with error code 0xC0202009.

I've seen the previous threads on this (although maybe not all of them). However, i don't think I'm getting the error for the same reason. The full error I'm getting is:

The entire package is running on one machine. The data source is SQL Server 2005 and the destination (this happens with both of them) is Excel or Access. Either way I cannot get the package which the wizard generated to run at all. This error occurs after the first table is exported. I'm running on WinXP SP2 with 2005 Developer and ALL components installed except analysis services.
Anyone else have this problem or know the solution?
    Jeff

I am getting the same error. My Destination and source both are on SQL Server 2005 on the same box.
I am using SQL- Code for Source and and table as destination. When the package runnes under Transaction- TransactionOption-Supported then the packages excuted fine but it fails when i change the Transaction- TransactionOption to Required.
It fails with following error code.
[OLE DB Destination [22]] Error: The AcquireConnection method call to the connection manager "FMFCLSQADB01.DWH_Rakesh" failed with error code 0xC0202009.
[DTS.Pipeline] Error: component "OLE DB Destination" (22) failed the pre-execute phase and returned error code 0xC020801C.
[Connection manager "FMFCLSQADB01.DWH_Rakesh"] Error: The SSIS Runtime has failed to enlist the OLE DB connection in a distributed transaction with error 0x8004D00A "Unable to enlist in the transaction.".
[Connection manager "FMFCLSQADB01.DWH_Rakesh"] Error: An OLE DB error has occurred. Error code: 0x8004D00A.
When i change the source SQL query to Table or View then it works fine.
    Thanks for any suggestion.

Now, my issues related to “SSIS Runtime has failed to enlist the OLE DB connection in a distributed transaction with error 0x8004D00A "Unable to enlist in the transaction."…..”. are fixed.
This is one of the very common errors that comes up in SSIS (SQL Server Integration service)
I have faced this issue for at-least two occasions. Both of them have one common setting: “TransactionOption” was set to “Required”.
In first case, I had multiple dataflow tasks but there were no sequence given. There were no error if I ran the package with TransactionOption=Supported. But when I ran the package in TransactionOption= Required, it got failed.
To fix the issue I have changed my package and put the entire dataflow task one after another (connected thru Constraint).
In another case, where I was doing data transfer from one server to another, I had to configure the MSDTC.
