Connection to host, service sapdb00 timed out
Dear Friends
I am trying to use SAP R/3 system at my office from my home through VPN. I have got a broadband connection with a wireless modem and When I try to connect to my office via VPN from my laptop it connects, but after this when I try with SAP login, it refuses the login and displays a message "connection to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, service sap db00 timed out. Do you want to see the detailed error description?" (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the ip address of the office) When I say yes, it displays the following message.
connection to host xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx, service sap db00 timed out.

component: NI (network interface)
Release: 640
version: 37
module: nixxi_r.cpp
Line:1067

But I could connect to the same SAP system with the same laptop through VPN using an unsecured wireless network at the vicinity of my office. Also my colleagues with the same settings could connect to the same SAP system from their homes.
Can anybody experienced similar problems? help me please in this problem. Thank you in advance.

Hi,
It seems the IP which is registered in SAP is 204.103.218.70 as host.Have you change the host of saprouter recently.
Check your SAProuter configuration.
At the same time check the saprouttab
Make the following changes in the hosts file and services file (under windows\system32\drivers\etc folder ) SAP-ROUTER system

Manel CasadesusHi
In SAPGUI, I have an entry for MBD pointing to IP 172.17.20.38
I can ping that succesfully
If I add "sapmsMBD 3601/tcp" to my services file, then I get the error
Connection to host 192.168.120.157, service sapdp01 timed out
Now, as far as I am told by basis, the 192.168... address is another IP address for the same server.
I am not able to ping the 192.168... IP address ... could this be the problem?
Why would the portal be trying to use the 192.168... address instead of the internal address?
Cheers,

I can't connect to Wi-Fi - keeps timing out. No problem connecting from other laptops / phones. Stopped working after I did a system upgrade. What can I do? I am on OS X Yosemite.
Take each of the following steps that you haven't already tried, until the problem is resolved. Some of these steps are only possible if you have control over the wireless router.
Step 1
Turn Wi-Fi off and back on.
Step 2
Restart the router and the computer. Many problems are solved that way.
Step 3
Change the name of the wireless network, if applicable, to eliminate any characters other than letters and digits. You do that on your router via its web page, if it's not an Apple device, or via AirPort Utility, if it is an Apple device.
Step 4
Run the Network Diagnostics assistant.
Step 5
In OS X 10.8.4 or later, run Wireless Diagnostics and fix the issues listed in the Summary, if any.
Step 6
Back up all data before proceeding.
Launch the Keychain Access application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Enter the name of your wireless network in the search box. You should have one or more "AirPort network password" items with that name. Make a note of the name and password, then delete all the items. Quit Keychain Access. Turn Wi-Fi off and then back on. Reconnect to the network.
Step 7
You may need to change other settings on the router. See the guidelines linked below:
Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points
Potential sources of interference
Step 8
Make a note of all your settings for Wi-Fi in the Network preference pane, then delete the connection from the connection list and recreate it with the same settings. You do this by clicking the plus-sign icon below the connection list, and selecting Wi-Fi as the interface in the sheet that opens. Select Join other network from the Network Name menu, then select your network. Enter the password when prompted and save it in the keychain.
Step 9
Reset the System Management Controller (SMC). -

Consequently, because of those processes were timed out, XI cannot be started, successfully. As a workaround, I am restarting java servers, manually. So, anyone has a suggestion about this problem?
Thank youHello Orkun
Ensure that the MaxThreadCount parameter is set to 350 as per note #937159 XI Adapter Engine is stuck. This will help the overall system performance.

I'll tryed many times. I searched this form (for 3 secret questions) in iTunes and on apple.com. There are only one question form that already filled long time ago. What i gonna do and why this happends?
I have the same problem... I thought this only happened with MICROSOFT???
Have rebooted and attempted to download a New app... But can't get past the New "Security Questions"... Even though I've done everything Correct, and answered all prompts Correctly, Always get the ..."Service has Timed Out" response.
MAYBE Apple will address these MANY Problems with iOs6... As soon as they Realize we Can't BUY any apps ????
Unfortunately for me, I'm relatively New to the Apple world, and had Very Few apps already downloaded Before I Upgraded? To iOs6... Therefore my iPad2 is about as much use to me right now as a BOAT ANCHOR....
Does ANYBODY at Apple hear me ???????? -
Iphone 5 Screen is Frozen Connection Timeout Error Connection to this app has timed out
I upgraded to IOS 7 just a few hours before my Iphone 5 screen froze and I cannot make changes - I have a Connection Timeout Error with Connection to this app has timed out. With Ok in blue. The screen doesn't respond, I can turn off the phone, tap OK or do anthing. Any advice on how I can reset or fix?
Check for any anti-virus or anti-spyware software you might have. Temporarily disable that to continue. Normally this is what will cause a timeout. I assume you have a good Internet connection?

Hi,
When I reboot the system I am seeing this message on the console and system is not getting rebooted.
svc.startd[10]: svc:/network/iscsi/target:default: Method or service exit timed out. Killing contract 131.
can someone help me to solve this? There are still a few issues with Solaris 11.1 and iSCSI LUN and rebooting. I know they are working on fixes.
A possible workaround is to use the reboot command and NOT the init command. At least when you use the reboot the command the system will reboot and not hang.
If this is not your problem then it may be a different problem.

some times my internet connection will say it has timed out and I can not connect. but my friends mac never has a problem. How can I fix this?
Just confirming, when you have the trouble, the wifi icon is grayed-out or has all bars showing? I believe you are saying that is is grayed-out - not connected to your wireless router.
I have a Mini that started to lose connection to the Internet after the 10.7.3 update but still showed the wireless as connected. If I pinged the wireless router, I would get a quarter of the packets failing to return. The router was a Netgear that supported 802.11N connections. As a test, I set it to 802.11G (54MBps) maximum and the Mini worked fine for a week - no dropouts. And for the other devices that did support 802.11N, while there was a noticeable delay with downloads and pages loading, they still worked.
As another test, I changed the Netgear router to a Billion 802.11N model and the Mini has not had a problems since. (It is still using 802.11g). So it could be your router that is causing trouble for your Mac.
Have a look at some of the More Like This postings in the right column. There has been a number of Mac owners experiencing wifi connection issues and some very good suggestions as to how to resolve their issue. -
Service sapdp80 timed out when starting GUI
Clients of my company access our SAP server by VPN. One new client met a problem, they can access VPN, however, when they start SAP GUI, there comes an error"connection to host xx.xx.xx.xx, service sapdp80 request timed out", in its detail, "time: Fri...;component NI; Release 640; Version 37; Module nixxi_r.cpp;line 1070;Method NiPconnect;Return code 12;Counter 1".
And its so weird that all other clients are ok with both VPN connection and SAP GUI log on. I searched SAP note for this error but found no result, and I came here for your precious working experience. Has anyone met this error before?
Looking forward to your help.Yes it's the connecting problem. Are you able to phisicaly see the client PC , and check the VPN and TCP\IP settings? May be it's some firewall or antivirus software are installed on clients side. You need to analyse all, for example after VPN connection are established the "ipconfig /all" should show parameters with which user has got in your network to. Regards.
