This is the first time this user is having this problem. He has been conntransing for long time.
by the way, we are on 6.0 SP02/5.0 SP11
the machine has dot net 1.1, 2.0 sp1, 3.0 sp1

Mahesh

Hello Mahesh,
How heavy are the first 20 messages in the Mobile client?
Can you set the below registry value to 1 and check if SEND works atleast now? This will force ConnTrans to send or receive messages 1 at a time and thereby swithches of the intelligent calculation of Number of messages to exchange.
HKLM\SOFTWARE\SAP\MSA\NewTransferService\Parameters\NumMsgToPull
If NumMsgToPull does not exist, create it as a string value and set the value to 1.
Also, there might be logs at the Commstation that will be of help to us,
The logs will be present in Windows EventViewer. Different sites have different log file names in the EventViewer.
Log file names are usually the last few digits of the queue name of the particular site.
You will also see a generic log file "SAP CRM Mobile Transfer.." which will have generic log information for all the sites.
These eventviewer logs will be a lot of help to know the problem,
Thank you
Best Regards
Jothi

through Order Process.
3. Book the sales order.

I have this SAP CRM 7.0/sp01 MDW installed and trying to conntrans it for the first time to get all the site data.
I can succesfully do test connection within client console for the communication station but the test fails in QMTConfig. and the conntrans errors too for send and receive both.
The error is "Error during transfer service intialization on communication station" I ran the the client console environment checks and found that it errors for communication station domain check
Client's domain and Comm. Station domain are not the same.

Thank you for your help.

hi Corrado,
Let me try to recollect and tell you a things you can check.
Make sure you can ping to the Communication Station using name and IP both.
In QMTConfig.exe try to use name and also try using IP whatever works.
In Client console use the test connection to make sure comm station connection is established and then press set as default.
After that try to conntrans.
I hope this helps.

• Conntrans error with SENDING messages

Hello everybody.
Still using a CRM 4.0 SR01 SP08 build, this time I am facing a Conntrans error : sending messages keep failing, while the reception process is OK.
If I select "SEND & RECEIVE", the SEND status becomes orange, RECEIVE is blue (OK) and I get in the summary the error related to the failure. Synchronizing another time gives the same result. When I close Conntrans, I get a "GUI MFC Error" crash popup.
If I select "SEND only", the SEND status stays gray and I get the error related to the failure. When synchronizing again, I get a "GUI MFC Error" crash popup while in the background the SEND status becomes orange, with the error related in the summary.
What we have tried so far is :
- deleting the 1st message from outbound queue (table = MW_Q_OUT, where MSG_ORDER = 1 ), gave no result
- testing connections to Comm Station : connection is OK
- launching the Check Environment from the Client Console : it reports that ADO version seems to be less than 2.5, and the registry setup is not complete (it misses HKLMsoftwaresapmtsoptions) but as all was working before, I don't think it is very important.
Here follow the data from the logs :

If you require Framework 2.0, upgrade to SP07. In this support package conntrans becomes compatible with 2.0.
EDIT: Sorry you are using 4.0, I meant SP07 for 5.0

• Conntrans -- Errors during "Receive" phase

Hi,
I'm trying to run the conntrans on one of the mobile clients for the first time. I see that there are entries in the in outbound queue of the mobile site(checked on CRM server). I get an error during the receive phase saying "Error during data receive; ensure network connectivity, if problem persists, contact system admin"
I'm able to connect to Comm. station successfully from the same mobile client.
I checked the log file "DotnetQmtClient.log" (this file is present in the directory mentioned in the registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\MSA\MW\TL\TL_TRACE_DIR), and found this information

Hi Ankan,
Thanks for the note. Even after implementing it, I was still facing the same issue, with error "Error in RecieveNext : Call to R/3 Server failed : An error occurred when receiving a complex parameter."
Later I implemented another note 1028225(recently updated), which resolved my issue.
Thanks a ton.

• Conntrans error in Send function

Hi,
When we try to run conntrans , it gives an error in send phase. And the status bar turns orange. From the logs created in temp directory also, I could not find much.
Conntrans was working fine earlier and the problem only occured recently. Please give some advice on resolving this error.
Many thanks!

Hello,
This issue can take place if the send queue(of IDES) is too large. Check this table MW_U_QOUT_50 and
check if EVENT_LOG subscriptions are active and being sent. You can disable them using MSY.
Under key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SAP\MSA\NewTransferService\Parameters create a DWORD parameter "TransferRate" with value 10 (decimal). Lower the TransferRate Value if Send still fails.

Hi,
Please check if there are any entries with a_Blocker in the outbound queue of the mobile client. (Check table MW_U_QOUT_50). Also check if the registry entry SEND_DATA is set to 1 under HKLM/SW/SAP/MSA/MW/TL.
Was this mobile client ever able to send the data before?

• When trying to send a pdf for multiple digital signatures, it keeps erroring out. What are some reasons?

I am having trouble sending out a document for digital signatures for multiple people. I enter the signature fields and click on Distribute. It then allows me to choose the receiving parties. I click on <SEND> and it processes for a moment and then I receive the following two errors: "Failed to send" followed by "Form distribution is aborted". It was working for me earlier and isn't now. I am fairly new to Acrobat and especially Digital Signatures. What are some possible reasons I am getting this error?

I finally got the document to send out by unclicking the "Collect name & email from recipients to provide optimal tracking" button, however, the responses come in as anonymous, so it's not real helpful with tracking my responses. Plus, I don't know if I'll encounter problems with follow up. The normal tracking system allows me to resend a message to those who have not responded. Now I guess I would just resend the request to those I have determined have not signed. Still working through the bugs but I'll update what I know and figure out here. Perhaps I will come to a solid solution and give a better summary.
As of now, I am sending and receiving responses... but the recipients have to change the received file to save as it is coming to them as read-only. Seems like this should be a whole lot less complicated.

I am not able to send mails through Yahoo APP. It gives me an error msg :"the sender address has ben rejected by the server ".
I tried adding username and password in the SMTP server settings,But those optiopns are greyed out.
So, i am not able to enter anything in fields under SMTP server settings

You probably have changing settings disabled in Restrictions.

• Please help me how concatenate all the error messages and send it as out parameter value.

Hi Experts,
Please help me how concatenate all the error messages and send it as out parameter value.
Thanks.

Agree with Billy, exception handling is not something that is done by passing parameters around.
PL/SQL, like other languages, provides a suitable exception handling mechanism which, if used properly, works completely fine. Avoid misuing PL/SQL by trying to implement some other way of handling them.

• Runtime constant (Filename) errors out in BPM

Hi,
I have a BPMCollectTime scenario to collect the Source files. The filename (Message Mapping/Transformation) from the files is captured in TRANSFORM STEP(before sending them out from BPM). The file is sent to SEND step one at a time.
Question : Filename of the source file is captured through user defined function.
Following is the code.
================
String  v_result_time;          //test Variable
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key =  DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
if (key == null) { v_result_time= "Create Key Failed";}
else
{v_result_time= "Create Key worked";
String valueOld = conf.get(key);
v_result_time = valueOld;
return v_result_time;
The Mapping gives a runtime error in the BPM. This is a sporadic error.
I have selected the Adapter specific attribute(File name).
The BPM errors out sometimes? I am not sure if I am missing any setting. If I delete the work item and run the same scenario it works.
Question 1 : What is the cause of the above error?
Question 2 : Does BPM support Adapter specific attribute such as filename?
Kindly Advice.
Thanks,
Gowri

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for all the help.
DTN will not change the response filename to source filename. This option cannot be used. The correlation id is defined as response file name. Response filename is fixed for invoice file.
Here is the example.
For invoice file name HDTN20070430163110.TXT, response file received is nav1_2b5.rsp file. For HDTN20070430163314.TXT , response file is nav1_2b5.rsp
So my correlation id is dummy fixed value. I have known the fact that it is not possible to use context object filename.
Bhavesh - I have defined transform step for accessing filename using dynamic configuration. Following is the code used in mapping.
================
String v_result_time; //test Variable
DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get(StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/File","FileName");
if (key == null) { v_result_time= "Create Key Failed";}
else
{v_result_time= "Create Key worked";
String valueOld = conf.get(key);
v_result_time = valueOld;
return v_result_time;
====================================
BPM errors out sometime with following error
Component mapping has returned error.
com/sap/xi/tf/_MM_DTNData_2_DTNFilename_java.lang.NullpointerException.
Error: Exception CX_MERGE_SPLIT occurred (program: CL_MERGE_SPLIT_SERVICE========CP, include: CL_
If I delete this workitem and repeat the same scenario, it works. I have still not understood, why the scenario works sometime.
Kindly Advice.
Thanks,
Gowri

• XML Publisher report errors out when RDF report has no data

Hi everyone,
I created a template and attached it to an RDF. When i run the oracle report with the attached template, if the report has 'not data exists' the report is erroring out. is it the normal functionality of XML publiher??. Because i remember at my earlier client i have run some reports for which if 'no data exists' still the program would complete normal but the output would be blank.
The xml output is creating the tags for the elements.
any help appeciated.
Thanks
sam

Hi Sam,
Yes this will happen depending on what the template is repeating on etc. You can handle this quite easily using sub-templates.
Firstly create your normal template as a sub-template (so surrounded by the <?template:TEMPLATE_NAME?> tags)
Then create a second template that contains the text "NO DATA FOUND" as another sub-template.
Create a third template (this will be your main template called by the report), which imports the two sub-templates, then using a choose statement, count the number of occurences of you main repeating group in your XML. If the count = 0 then call the "NO_DATA_FOUND" sub-template, otherwise call the normal sub-template.
I hope this helps, if you need an example I can send you one, just let me know your email address.
Regards,
Cj

The errors are like these. How can I correct these errors and continue to installation? Is the oracle version 10.2.0.4 not correct version to install 4.7 enterprise on Red Hat Linux 5.3?
Best regards,

Hi Markus,
I found 5 ERROR. There are different lines.
First one:
<fld name="STATUS">
<strval><![CDATA[ERROR]]>
Second one:
CASE (= 'AUTOALLOCATE') RETURN (' AUTOALLOCATE '),
CASE (DEFAULT) RETURN (' ERROR ' + (tTablespaces.extMgmtAllocMode
Third one:
CASE (= 'DICTIONARY') RETURN (' DICTIONARY '),
CASE (DEFAULT) RETURN (' ERROR ' + (tTablespaces.extMgmtMode
Fourth one:
CASE (= 'AUTOALLOCATE') RETURN (' AUTOALLOCATE '),
CASE (DEFAULT) RETURN (' ERROR ' + (tTablespaces.extMgmtAllocMode
Fifth one:
CASE (= 'DICTIONARY') RETURN (' DICTIONARY '),
CASE (DEFAULT) RETURN (' ERROR ' + (tTablespaces.extMgmtMode
Which one will I change to OK? Must all off them change to OK?
Also is this problem about only these oracle error in your oppinion? For example in first line of ora_sql_results.log I have an error like below:
CJS-00084 SQL statement or script failed
Connected to an idle instance.
ORA-01034: ORACLE not available
ORA-27101: shared memory realm does not exist
But ORACLE_HOME and ORACLE_SID environment variable are ok. Also I can connect and start and stop database manually. There is no problem about it.
I installed anly Oracle patch 10.2.0.4. I didn't install any oracle interim patch. Should I have install oracle interim patch for Oracle 10.2.0.4?
Best regards,
