Console Launcher Error **X-Fi ExtremeMusic

i am wondering if anyone gets this error or if any one has fixed it.........Ok heres the deal?I got Vista and installed the CD that came with my sound card. I could hear sound after the installation and when ever I would go to my PC components it shows?Creative SB-X-Fi so I am assuming the PC is reading the sound card. I then downloaded the Beta Driver but everything to my knowledge has stayed the same theres no diffrence........my main issue I am still not able to control the Volume Panel /Knob when I right click on it I get a window that says "the console for the current mode of your audio device cnnot be launched........" Where can I get this console ? Is there a place to download it's I really enjoyed using this feature and the one that allowed me to take the song that was playing and put a Accustic or Orchestra or Arena "sound" to it So far I havent noticed any other programs missing........of course there might be

The applications are made for the XP version of the drivers. You'll have to wait 'till next month for the final Vista drivers that should have the whole package.

  • Console Launcher No support Audio Device Available

Note: Creative SB X-fi is detected (without a yellow mark) in my device manger. My card is an X-fi Titanium Fatalty Professional.
The easiest way I can put this is by explaining the mistake I made. Without installing the card, I moved it from one PCI-e slot to another, the one below it. This caused a small annoying issue that I decided to fix by totally uninstalling the card (correctly I hope) and putting it back in it's original slot. After reinstalling it via the disk it came with, when the computer restarts afterwards I am told that no supported hardware is detected and most of what seems to have installed correctly doesn't even show in my programs.
I have tried uninstalling and driver sweeper for HOURS straight over and over and so far nothing is working. Has anyone had a similar issue or know what the problem is? I've already made sure I'm using the same settings I originally used before moving slots but no dice.
P.S. During SOME of the updates or even installations, I? occasionally receive the error I-00 (usually during Alchemy or Creative Control Console installations or Updates) and I am told the installation can't continue. It does though, simply bypassing these things/
    I am using Windows 7 64bit

Update: I'm facing a new issue now during installation! -EVERY- time the install wizard finishes and I restart the computer, I see the volume panel icon on the task bar and Creative SB X-fi when I hover over it. However, when I double click to open the console launcher (Which installed correctly to my knowledge) I'm told no supported audio device is available.
Did I break my card or something after what I did earlier? Or is my disk screwed up now too? I'd really rather not use the motherboard's crappy audio, I can actually tell that the audio quality is lower.

  • Launch error code: -2857 Exited with error code: 215

    Anybody have any idea what:
"Launch error code: -2857 Exited with error code: 215"
means when launching an app? Tries to launch, then quit. That shows up in the Console.
    Thanks.

First I want to say thanks for the feedback. I appreciate the support and helpful suggestions.
Second, Epson sent me an answer of sorts...they provided detailed instructions on uninstalling the application and then told me to reinstall using the disk image from their web site (in other words, don't use their web package to "update" and existing installation). I did this and things seem to be running fine now. It's unfortunate that their update instructions don't say to do this in the first place (maybe I missed it ).
So at one level this issue is solved. Unfortunately I'm too curious and wanted to know why the error happend in the first place. As a software developer myself (mainframe and midrange server based) I hate the "delete and reinstall" answer as it does nothing to really identify and solve the real problem. But I do also appreciate the idea of "just get it fixed fast" so that's what I did.
Anyway, I will now spend some time learning about Launch Services to see if I can get a more specific understanding of what happened.
    Thanks again for the help.

  • Creative console launcher doesn't "support" Xfi 5.1 external soundcard after update

    Hello,
after I updated console and drivers for my creative 5.1 sound, the console launcher sends the following error message (transl. from german):
"Current Audio Device is not supported by the application"
The Sound card, however, is perfectly recognized by my system. I already de- and reinstalled all drivers and the console launcher - nothing changed.
Also, (when it still worked) the console program was totally unreliable: The loudness settings of my sattelites was reset every other hour, and wenn i turned the volume up, center, bass and satellites are at the same level again (which is utterly annoying)
    Thanks in advance

    @Creativeuser1
You still haven't tell us if you are using the X-Fi Surround 5.1 Pro or the X-Fi Surround 5.1 .
    1. Did you activate any audio enhancements, like CMSS, crystalizer, etc..?
Go to the Entertainment Console and click on the Default checkbox. That should turn off all audio enhancements and reset all settings to default.
    2. This two products doesn't have Gaming or Audio Creation mode.

There has been a change in where Firefox searches for plugins and the plugins folder in the Firefox program folder is no longer scanned for plugins, so Firefox won't find them anymore if they are installed in the plugins folder instead of the "browser\plugins" folder that Firefox now scans.
You can set the plugins.load_appdir_plugins pref to true on the about:config page to make Firefox scan the "<install>/plugins/" directory for plugins like the WMP plugin (np-mswmp.dll).
You can alternatively move plugins from "<install directory>\plugins\" to "<install directory>\browser\plugins\" (create this folder when missing) to make Firefox find them again.

  • Windows 8.1 - No Console Launcher?

    Hi everyone,
I've had my X-Fi Fatal1ty Professional for a few years, but my OS has always been Windows 7. I recently did a clean install of Windows, but this time, since I had an 8.1 ISO/Key, I moved onto 8.1. The install went okay as usual, however, when running the Auto-Update software after the restart, none of the two options were a Console Launcher (like there was on Windows 7).
For example, it was the 'blue' application that looked a lot nicer than the default Control Panel that you got from running Auto-Update. On Windows 8.1, this was not an option in the Auto-Update, and I only have the default Control Panel installed.
Was it removed for the Windows 8/8.1 drivers?
    Regards,
    Patrick

    Thanks for the reply.
Edit -- Okay, well, it worked! Evidently MS changed the way compatibility works via properties. You cannot directly edit it via properties unless it's an .MSI extension, however, you can use the troubleshooter to switch it to 7.
Edit 2 -- Install went just fine, restarted and the Control Panel is working. No errors, loss of audio, etc. I'll test around as the day goes on, and especially notice if I lose settings upon next Restart, but for now I am glad it worked.
    Thanks again : )

  • Problem with console launcher and Titanium Champion Series

Hi all. I've recently got a X-Fi Titanium Fatality Champion Series, it's running on XP. As you know with the original drivers the I/O front panel didn?t work on XP, so I updated to the latest version 2.7.8. The problem is that now the I/O front panel seems to work, but the console launcher has been updated too to the 2.6.1.45 version and it's not working properly, when previously it was. I?ve detected two problems:
    1) You can enable the equalizer on any mode but the list of presets (rock, pop, jazz...) don?t appear
    2) The console launcher crashes in the very moment you click on the Mixer thumb index, at least in Game mode, appearing an error message
I would thank any help. Bye.

Well, given I've still not received an answer, I think this may help somebody with the same problem.
I decided to install the Console Launcher 2.6.1.49 (beta) and it's working perfect so far, the two problems I told about have been fixed.
Another problem I had with the latest official drivers was that the volume panel wasn't shown at the taskbar. I simply fixed it by installing the original volume panel you can find in the installation CD.
    Bye.

  • Console launcher for 7

    Quote : ?CSL_PCAPP_LB_2_6_09.exe?
This download contains the Creative Console Launcher application for use with your Sound Blaster? X-Fi? series of audio devices on Microsoft? Windows Vista? and Windows? XP. For more details, read the rest of this web release note.
The Question is : I want to install Windows 7 on my computer. Is This version of console launcher working on 7?

I have used Console Launcher under Vista and Windows 7 with no problems. I used to use the Daniel K. package, but now I am running stock software.
The launcher showed up after using Windows Update. Windows Update installed a Microsoft Certified driver on my system, and then I used AutoUpdate. It found the Console Launcher, etc. They installed fine. The two things that did not install quite as easily were the Dolby and DTS Connect packs. For those, they gave an error message. I simply right clicked those and chose properties and then administrator and VISTA SP. No problems whatsoever.
The only problem I have is, if you leave DOLBY OR DTS enabled in the tray icon, your system will hang at shutdown.

  • "Setup has found a newer version of Creative Console Launcher on your system. Setup will now exit"

This is the error message I get every time I try to install the Creative Console Launcher version 2.61.35 for my Creative X-Fi Titanium.
I have uninstalled EVERYTHING, multiple times. All Creative applications, drivers, etc. Restarted in safe mode, ran driversweeper, restarted and re-installed.. No dice.
I even downloaded CCleaner and had it nuke my registry in case it detected some files that might be causing problems.
The weird thing is that I don't know how it is detecting a newer version of the launcher. The reason being is because the only launcher I ever installed was the one that came on the physical CD with my soundcard. The only other things I have downloaded and installed were:
Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Driver 2.17.0008
    DTS Connect Pack 1.03.08
    Dolby Digital Live Pack 3.00.06
I also downloaded and ran the registry fixes that supposedly corrects the audio stuttering when DDL is enabled (I have experienced a lot of crackling/popping in Aliens Vs. Predators).
Anyways, I can apparently access the control panel just fine, but I like the launcher, and it's frustrating not being able to install it. This all started when I wanted to upgrade my driver, so I uninstalled everything before I upgraded, then when I went to reinstall the launcher, I got that message.
    Help?

"If the software is installed correctly, and is the right version, then the updater should recognise it when it's installing."
Why wouldn't the software be installed correctly? I double-click on the installer .exe file and follow the instructions. If it doesn't work, fire whoever coded it!
More seriously, these problems are all caused by Creative's ignorant policies on their software installation restrictions. I mean it's Creative Recorder, not ?2000 worth of software here - why so bloody protecti've about which PC it will install on for God's sake?
Example algorithm for installation limited to Creative cards only: Check SBLi've! installed. Check Creative Recorder existing install. If existing, check version, and update. If not existing, install full version. Exit. Happy customer.
Creative seem unable to follow the above logic. 666% Ignorant. I won't be buying them again.
All the clean install instructions I have read on this site are FLAWED. They either a)require the original CD (WHY?! it's for Windows XP, wasn't even OUT when the CD was made!), and/or b)are riddled with mistakes/generalisations about what should work.
What I'm not seeing here is the truth - Creative make flaky software as their hardware is too good for you to want to upgrade, so this poor software CONS you into thinking you need new hardware. Nice one, waste the planet some more for no help to the consumer. Evil.

  • Windows Vista SP2 crashes Creative Console Launcher.

I've erased my harddisc and reinstalled Windows Vista Home Premium SP x64 and then upgrade it to the new SP2. After I've installed the updated driver to my Soundblaster X-fi Extrememusic and the updated softwares it crashes the Creative Console Launcher. This is what happens: I open the Creative Console Launcher and then I go to the Graphic Equalizer to change the EQ. After I have done that, I got a message like this: "Creative Console Launcher has stopped working and Windows must close it down". Is there any solutions for my problem
    hockey

I had a similar problem when installing Vista sp 2. What I did was remove all creative drivers and programs and reinstalled Daniel K.'s X-FI 2.0 package. My console launcher did the exact same thing, but I was using Creative's newest Console Launcher. When I reinstalled everything (which is included in the package) everything worked really well.
I sometimes switch between drivers included in Dan K.'s pack and the package with a final overlay of the newest Creative Labs driver.
    here is a link: Dan K 2.0 X-FI inclusi've driver pack/update

  • Creative console launcher Titanium HD Win7, not working

    I just purchased the Titanium HD to upgrade from the Xtreme Audio. I have spend the whole day, and I literally mean the whole day on trying to solve;
"There are no supported audio device available. You need to close the application. Click OK to close the application now."
When trying to run the Creative console launcher. I have spend countless hours doing the installation all over again and again by different methods. I've tried with the CD in the package, I've tried the latest drivers and software from your website, I've tried to re-insert the sound card several times, I've tried to sweep the drivers with Sweep Driver 3.0 and removed all registry entries, folders and files with my Revo Uninstaller Pro, with no god **bleep** luck.
    At no point in time has the driver not been working. It should be all fine - sshot provided;
    http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/967847ebbe.jpg/
    Sound also works. However, I do get error when installing the driver - sshot provided;
    http://www.myupload.dk/showfile/967850f6ff7.jpg/
I Googled it and most seem to claim that application is not important and can be disabled. I have Googled the issue so many times, and found many people with the same issue, but who seem to get it working some way or another at the very end..... Just not me...
Though the card works I cannot access the cards features without it's software, and the card is therefore, basically uselsss. Had I known I'd run into this I would have picked the Asus Xonar Essence by miles! Although I did ask creative for help in an e-mail I'm afriad this is going to have to end up with a dispute between me and the retailer :/

    Your first problem is this:
You upgraded from one card to the other. Uninstaller or not, you have a ton of remnants left over from that old card.
Try this for your no supported device:
    no supported device fix
Reboot, and try again. If this does not work, then install this driver....newest for your card.
    after rebooting, try again.
If that does not work, then you can manually unzip that driver you downloaded above to a temp folder (that driver is a self extracting executable).
Then you can go to device manager and choose to update driver and browse the temp folder you made above and update your driver and reboot.
See if any of these help you.

  • Console Launcher

Does any one have a working console launcher for Windows 7 and the xtreme gamer?Creative seems to be going for the guiness record for the longest beta ever for their console launcher. I've tried unpacking the console launcher from the many suites in the forums but it won't install, always errors out. Thanks for your help in advance.

  • Launch Error - This file cannot be launched

    Hi all,
I renamed a class file in a flash build and now every time I try to debug my project (cmd+F11) I get an error window saying Launch Error - This file cannot be launched.
I have tried wiping the project and moving the files in to a new one and also restarting FB4 but with no luck. I have also tried setting up a brand new blank project and this will not launch either.
The problem seems to only be with Flash projects as a new Flex project runs ok.
I am running Flash Builder 4 , Flash CS5 on a Mac 10.6.4 and debugging in Google Chrome 7.0.517.41
    Any suggestions?
    Cheers

There is no adl listed in my list of active processes in Activity Monitor. I have tried rebooting my machine, restarting all my software and projects and cleaning my projects. No luck yet.
If I just switch to flash and run the fla directly it works fine so it must be Flex specific.
Cheers for the suggestionsso far . Keep em coming if you have them

  • TS1963 DMS Launch error after migration from snow leopard iMac to new Macbook Pro?

I just purchased a Macbook Pro. I used Migration assistant to transfer my files from my '06 iMac, which was running snow leopard to the Macbook and at start up now get a DMS Launch error every time... any suggestions??
The error message says check with the developer to make sure DMS Launch works on this version of OS X.  You may need to reinstall the application.
I have installed all updates as it suggests, to no avail.  I keep getting the error message and report pop up box each time at start up and the only way to be rid of it, is to click ok to send the report - there is no option to stop the report from coming up.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to stop the error message appearing and resolve the issue?
    Thanks

  • X-Fi Audio Console Launcher not in system t

Since my new install of Windows, I can't get the Console Launcher for my X-Fi Elite Pro in the system tray anymore. On my previous install it was there from first install, even after updating the software and drivers, but now it seems to have dissapeared. I'm really disappointed as this (for me) by far the easiest way to change mode and/or entering the console for settings editing. I tried to update the drivers, but no luck... it's still not back. It seems like a fairly easy problem to fix, but I can't find any option to check/uncheck system tray icon availability. Can anyone help me out on this one? How can I get the system tray icon back in the system tray? Thanks in advance!?By the way, I'm running Windows XP Pro UK with the latest X-Fi Elite Pro?drivers and onboard HD Audio disabled in the BIOS. Software of HD Audio is also removed.

Mine hasn't been resetting....so far. I know mines a Fatalty but sw wise it should be same for all the cards. The only thing I can think of is that it has something to do with option for syncing with control panel. I have that option unchecked in the creative mixer speakers tab. Maybe try disabling it if its currently enabled and see if that stops the resetting. No idea if it will help but thats the only thing I can think of, can't hurt to at least give it a shot.
    Hope it helps
