Contact Person Replication (R3 to CRM)

Hi Gurus!
I'm new at CRM and I'm facing a problem with Contact Person Replication (R3 to CRM).
If I take a look at a Customer Master Data (on ECC), General Data, Contact Person Tab, I can see two lines with two different contact persons.
Then, I go to the CRM, Tcode R3AC1 and update the filters for the Customer_main object (and automatically, the Customer_rel object stays with the same filters), just for that particular customer.
When i run the tcode R3AS for the Customer_Main Object, I get a green light (at the R3AM1) and if I go to the WebClient UI, That particular account is really there, but with no contact persons on...
I tried run the R3AS for the customer_rel, and again I had a green light on the R3AM1 but when i take a look at that particular account, once again, no contact person assigned.
I thought "Maybe, the contact persons got replicated, but they are not correctly assigned to the accounts..." (and then i tryed to assigned contact persons to this particular account but when I search for a contact person at the Webclient UI...Surprise:No Contact Person Existed....
Can anyone please give me a hint on this? Am I doing something wrong? How can i replicat my contact persons from R3 to CRM?

Hi Ines
Take a look at Best Practice Guide C03.
I believe all of the required steps are in there.

  • Contact Person Replication (Different IDs CRM vs ERP)

    Hi Gurus
We have made the connection between ERP and CRM 7.0, we also have already replicated all the master data (products, clients, relations, etc)
The problem is that the contact persons of the clients have differents IDs in CRM comparing to ERP, this is causing us so many problems. We made no setting in PIDE tx at ERP.
How can we solve this problem? How can we fix it?
We need to have the same IDs for contact persons in CRM and in ERP.
    Thank you very much!

    Hi,
My guess is that you will delete those contact persons before you re-run the download. Below points will help you to come to a conclusion.
    1) Are you talking abt this scenario in a live production system?
    2) are these contacts used in any of the transactional data? If yes, deleting will not be a straight forward thing. I recommend you to contact OSS to check if they have any reports or OSS notes to address this problem
    3) if the answer to point 2 is NO, then delete all contacts and re-run inital load of contact persons after making the recommendations made in the earlier note i have pointed.
    Hope this helps.

    Raghu

  • Restrict Contact Person replication from CRM to ECC based on Partner Funct

    Hi Experts
We are replicating Contacts from CRM to ECC, by assigning them to Accounts. We have a scenario to restrict Contact Person replication to ECC only for specific Partner functions (we have 5 such partner functions), for remaining partner functions the contact Persons should not be replicated to ECC.
By Partner function I mean, while making this assignment of Contact to an Account in u201Ccontact Person Relationships datau201D under u201CPartner Function Assignment blocku201D (in web UI) we are adding a Partner function E.g. Author, (same can be seen in GUI, under Usage tab of CP Relationship data).
However we were able to replicate contacts assigned to accounts to ECC in our 5 partner functions, but even the unwanted contacts assigned to other partner functions in CRM are also getting replicated
How can I restrict CP replication from CRM to ECC based on Partner Functions assigned to the Contact Person
    Your help is highly appriciated.

  • Stopping Contact person replication to R/3

    Hi,
In CRM order, we  have a contact person, but the corresponding contact person mapping in R/3 (CRMPARNR) got deleted for a particular sales area.
So we are getting an error message Partner with Partner role AP cannot be converted.
Now, how can we stop the replication of contact person to R/3 for this sales area only?
I have checked the function module in CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU.  But this is not getting triggered when i try to edit the order and save and click  distribute it to R/3.
    Thanks & Regards
    Sunil

    Hi Sunil,
I hope - You checked below sap note - if not, worth to checking
1996250 - Partner with the partner role AP cannot be converted (EC(010)
1886161 - CRM new contact takes long to replicate to ERP
2006644 - Short dump with the replication of business partners and the table CRMPARNR
    Let me  know if anything.

  • Contact Person Replication Problem - Updating could not be completed

    Dear Experts,
I'm facing the problem when replicating contact person from CRM to R/3. It only happen when changing the bp/contact person that paired (with contact person relation type) to more than 5 customer/bp and it always error when replicating to R/3.
If I trace the probelm in SMW01, the error message appreared is : Updating could not be completed. I'am affraid the workload in R/3 system is to high or the time that given for processing the BDOCS is too short.
Is there any configuration to set the time for processing the BDOCS from CRM?
Or is there any solution to solve this issue?
    Please helps
    Many thanks in advance.

  • How to restrict contact person from ECC to CRM

    Dear All,
We need customers to flow from ECC to CRM, but not Contact persons.
Seems that the 2 adapters CUSTOMER_MAIN & CUSTOMER_REL have to have the same filter settings.
    How do we achieve this?
    Please help!!
    Best regards,
    Rohit L.

    Hi Rohit,
In CRM table CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU you can add any function module you need to filter data as per your requirement... Have a look to this OSS note that will show you the trick:

  • Contact Person Replication

    Hi,
We have a requirement wherein we want to create Contact Persons in both CRM and ECC and replicate them vice versa, however, we want to create Sold-To-Party from ECC and replicate it to CRM.
I am aware that contact persons do not have any specific account group.
I am not sure how the above will work.
    Please advice.
    Thanks in advance.

    HI  Paul,
Are  there any error Bdoc?If so please let us know the error.
    If not
Check whether the mapping of the partner functions are set correctly
Path:IMG->CRM->BASIC FUNCTIONS-->PARTNER PROCESSING->DATA TRANSFER->DISTRIBUTION OF PARTNER FUNCTIONS FROM CRM TO SAPECC
BEFORE  MAPPING   CHECK  THAT ,THE  PARTNER FUNCTIONS EXISTS   IN BOTH THE SYSTEMS.
Coming to sales areas check to that the org structure is consistent in both the sytems.

  • Number Range for Contact persons in SAP CRM

    Hi Experts,
Can anyone brief me about the contact persons concept in CRM and ERP?
How and where the the no. ranges are maintained , config settings, link between ERP and CRM?
Standard Account group for contact persons in ERP and CRM?
I would appreciate and points would be awarded .
    Best Regards
    Suchhi

Contact persons can be maintained on both sides. In our case, we mantain contact persons mainly for needs of sales department, so we set master on CRM.
How and where the the no. ranges are maintained , config settings, link between ERP and CRM?
To define number ranges on crm side go to IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner>Business Partner> Basic Settings>Number Ranges and Groupings>Define Number Ranges
For number range created you have to create grouping. This grouping has to be assigned manually or automatically when creating a business partner. The business partner gets a number from the number range that is assigned to the grouping.
This can be defined under IMG>Cross-Application Components>SAP Business Partner >Business Partner>Basic Settings> Number Ranges and Groupings>Define Grouping and Assign Number Ranges
For number range created inCRM system you have to define a corresponding number range in the ERP. This is necessary to ensure that business partners created in CRM system get the same ID when they are replicated to ERP.
Go to IMG>Logistics>General >Business Partner>Customers>Control>Define and Assign Customer Number Ranges
Next define account groups under IMG>Logistics>General>Business Partner>Customers>Control>Define Account Groups and Field Selection for Customer
For each of CRM business partner classifications you have to define a mapping to an ERP account group. Run transaction code PIDE and do the mapping.
And of course your middleware settings must also be in order.
Standard Account group for contact persons in ERP and CRM?
There are no predelivered account groups for contact persons.
    Regards.

  • Contact person Number range in ERP and CRM - Middleware settings

    Dear SDN team,
We have currently integrated SAP CRM 5.2 and SAP R/3 4.6 c using Middleware .
The contact persons are maintained in SAP R/3 system and also downloaded into CRM system . Currently the Number range is different in both the systems
Going forward, we can create and maintain Contact Person data in CRM only. But we have an issue with the Number ranges allocation in ERP system.
    Our Questions are :
    1) Can we maintain a external number range for Contact Persons in ERP system ?  If yes , how is this possible ?  because Contact person is not a standard Account group in ERP and we cannot maintain PIDE settings for Contact persons .
    2) What is the best solution to maintain Contact persons between ERP and CRM with active Middleware settings.
A Good answer will get maximum points.
    Regards
    Ritvij

    Dear Ritvij,
Am no sure how best I can answer but attempting:
Basically the contact persons in the R/3 system when are transfered to a CRM, the system generates the number from the number range with internal number assignment of the standard grouping. Hence, no PIDE settings involved.
Now, maintaining the contact person in CRM and to determine the number range for contact persons differently, you got to go for enhancement. You can look at the note 564538 which might give you some clues as to what enhancements are required.
    thanks

  • R/3 Contact person to CRM

    Guys,
The contact person number in our R/3 46C system is different than the contact person number in CRM, i.e.  4567 (in R/3) is 500009876 (in CRM).  How I can determine its corresponding number using ABAP based on the R/3 contact person #?  Is this data kept in some tables?
    thanks,
    Yan.

    Hi Yan,
R/3 contact persons get downloaded into CRM as individual business partner master records with a different number range. That's why those numbers doesn't get mapped to each other.
CRM stores the relation between CRM contact person and R/3 contact person in the table CRMM_BUT_CONTNO
Use CRM table BUT000 to get the GUID of the contact person. Use this GUID in the table CRMM_BUT_CONTNO to find the correct R/3 contact person

  • Contact Person - Mapping ECC-CRM

    Hello,
Please suggest best practices of creating contact persons in CRM
Our scenario is existing customers and contact persons would be uploaded in ECC which need to be replicated in CRM
All new customers and contact persons would be entered in CRM only post golive.
User have multiple contact persons with different addresses for every corporate account in CRM
    Thanks,

  • How to avoid contact person deletion when partner function is assigned

    Hi All.
I need your help for a contact person issue.
I'd like to avoid a contact person relationship to be deleted when this contact person is assigned to one or more partner functions for any customer's sales area. In ECC I can't delete a contact person that is been used as a partner function in customer's sales data (KNVP). The system shows message F2 189. But it seems not to be the same in CRM as I'm able to delete this contact person relationship despite he's been used as a customer's partner function. Furthermore, when the contact person is deleted in CRM, no upload to ECC occurs, I mean, the contact person is still "alive" in ECC and linked to the customer.
Thanks in advance for your help.

    Thanks, Prasenjit.
Yes, we're using Web UI, so I'll try to check the partner function assignment as you told me.
No problem regarding the concepts of contact person deletion and contact person relationship deletion, I know the difference. What I meant was that you can delete a contact person relationship in CRM (not the contact person itself but the relationship) and this relationship is not deleted en ERP due to the fact that this contact person is used as a partner function in the customer sales area. It seems CRM and ERP are working in a different way, using different checks that can lead you to inconsistencies.
    Kind regards,
    André

  • Deactivate replication of contact persons from R/3 to CRM

    Hi,
i'm replicating customer relationships from ECC6 to CRM2007. All fine, including z-partner functions etc.
One thing Im baffled by however is the replication of contact persons. Contact persons will be created in CRM only, without any integration/replication with ECC6. Since there are existing contact persons in the ECC6 master, I want to deactivate that replication.
So I hae deleted the mapping for master data transfer in CRM in the IMG under Basic Functions => Partner Processing => Data Transfer => Distribution of Partner Functions from SAP ECC into CRM
and Distribution of Partner Functions from CRM into SAP ECC.
But if I create a contact person in ECC6, it STILL replicates through to CRM!! Any ideas how to de-activate that replication? I don't want to end up with failed BDOCs in the middleware if posible.
    regards
    Jens

    Hi Srikanth,
thanks a lot for your reply. However the approach needs to be a bit more sophisitcated than that. I do replicate through a number of r?3 partner functions into relationships in CRM, e.g. ship-to and 3 z-functions (promary CSR etc.). That all works fine and needs to stay that way.
However I do need to deactivate the replication of the R/3 contact persons to CRM.

  • How to restrict/block replication of contact person? SAP CRM 7.0 ehp 2

    Hello fellow crm consultants,
I am looking for a (hopefully) standard solution to restrict the replication of contact persons (CP) from crm to ecc back and forth while they are related/linked to a customer.
In this current scenario we create a new customer on the CRM side and immediately link new or existing contact persons to this customer before saving the new entity. Upon save the data is being replicated and creates the same in ECC. However there is not CP replication been setup between CRM/ECC meaning that normally no contact person information is being replicated or synced between these systems. But only when the customer is being replicated including contact person(s) this is information coming through anyways. I want to completely block the CP information and only replicate the customer information.
Is above possible in SAP CRM 7.0 ehp 2 and how through customization?
Thanks in advance.. points will be rewarded.
    Regards,
    Rogier

    Hi,
If you want to replicate only customers from CRM to ECC, you can set a filter in the subscription on IS_CUSTOMER = "X" for example. That will stop replication of contact persons, organization units, employees, etc.
See following oss note: 1834681 - How to set filter for BP upload from CRM to ECC
But for something more complex, you might need to implement a function module and add it to table CRMC_BUT_CALL_FU. Kindly check following oss note for an example:
638628 - No contact person upload into R/3: Example for exit users
    Best regards,
    Nicolas.

  • Prevent replication of Contact Person from CRM to ERP

    Hello,
we replicate business partner with role "Solt-to Party" from CRM to ERP.
But we want to prevent that the contact person of the Sold-tp Party is relicated too.
    How we can realize this?
    Thanks for help
    Ronald Ploß

    Hello,
I have changed both objects (BUPA_MAIN / BUPA_REL) to Simple intelligent (msg). But in BUPA_REL you can only filter on BPARTNER.
In the scenario we need BUPA_REL for the replication of Employee responsible.
    Thanks and regards
