Content scope document library does not return result for non farm administrator
Hi
I have a situation where I had to go with a unique permission applied subsite to store 1000 documents in the document library. This site has a set of 50 users. I was able to create content scope and library path for search. It returns results for me(creator/owner/administrator)
however if I add other users as contributor or full permission, even after full crawling it does not return result for others.
I saw some article that security broken site wont be indexed normal way and to include and I did that as well but no result for other users. I always get result.
Please suggest if there are any specific security permissions that I need to include, so the document library target search will return result for others.
Thanks
Shri
Hi Shri,
For administrator search results, it looks like the documents could be crawled and searched.
For other users you grant full control permission on subsite with unique permission where you store 1000 dcouments in document library, please make sure these 50 users have access permission(at least view permission) on documents from the
library, then test again.
Also test if users search on search center site without search scope, see if it's scope issue or search web part issue.
If above doesn't work, please check ULS log for related useful information around the time when users search the documents, there should be more info to verify if issue is related to unique permision.
Thanks,
Daniel Yang

CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
Hi,
We are facing a serious production issue. We've search the web extensively but to no avail.
Problem:
CQWP does not return result for a specific query when filtering on a managed metadata field.
ULS log:
The Uls logs provides 3 different messages that I could relate to every time the query is executed. The last item(level Medium) is displayed 14 times. For readability I've moved the ULS logs to the bottom of this question.
Query:
The query is as follows:
(I've translated this from dutch so pardon any typo's)
Query: (top selection) Display items from all sites in the site collection
ListType: Documentlibrary
Contenttype:
Items from this group:Custom Document Contenttypes
Items from this content type: Verklaring
Filter: Soort is equal to X
extra info: the field soort (Type) is a managed metadata field that was assigned the value X
Managed Metadata Structure:
-managed metadata service
-Contoso
-Enterprise Taxonomy (term set)
-Document (term)
-Verklaring (term)
-Soort (term)
-x (term)
EXTRA INFO:
When I modify the filter to filter on Title the CQWP DOES return the correct document!
When I modify the query settings to search a specific library the CWQP also does return the correct document! (In this case I am filtering on a managed metadata field).
QUESTION:
Why doesn't the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over the entire site collection.
Why does the CQWP return the document when filtering on a managed metadata field over a single library.
(The type of information the CQWP should return (Soort:x) is stored in a dozen document libraries!)
Here are the ULS logs.

Greetings,
Our users have noticed that when they create a new subsite that the default site assets library does not give them the option to create a new document type of video, image, etc.. just a word document.
If I create a new asset library I do see all the options when creating a new file from the drop down menu under the ribbon >files>new document
Is this default behavior when creating a new team site or is there something that I can configure so that the default site assets library that is built is really a site assets library and not a standard document library?i think you are talking about the "Site Assets" Library and this is not meant for the Asset Library.Yes this is default behavior.
Site Assets: Use this library to store files which are included on pages within this site, such
as images on Wiki pages. jsut think about the other OOTB libraries i.e Style, Pages libraries etc.
Assets Library is the one you need to add in your site collection to take the advantage of it.

Subcontract PO/PR does not generate PR for non stock component
Hello,
I need help on above topic.
SAP Version is ERP Central Component 5.0.
My problem is that PR is not being generated for non stock component in PR/PO of higher/parent material.
I notice that in component overview screen the item cat for this non stk comp. has changed to T( text item) even though the BOm has been maintained with item cat as N( non stock). The material type being used for non stk material is custom developed(copy of NLAG).
Has anyone faced similar issue. or can suggest some missing customization (if any)
Just to confirm :
I have done customising for Direct procurement in OPPQ to trigger PR in requirements planning. Also tried with prod order creation option(though my case is PO creation)
Any help from forum is highly appreciated.
Thanks,
RamHi ,
Commitement check is taking place due to availability control. If u dont want to carry out AVAC for PR then in Tolerance limit put the exclude the check for PR.
SPRO > PS > Budget > define tolerence limit > here u might selected ++ i.e. for all activity type. U select indidula transaction grp excluding PR.

SharePoint 2010: Ribbon on document library does not load
Hello,
I have a user where on some sites that he uses the document library fails to load. We are on SharePoint 2010, Enterprise Edition. The problem is just on his Windows 7 PC, and no others have reported the problem. He is using IE 10.
Can you give me some possible things to try to fix the issue?
Thanks
PaulWill you also please describe how it fails to load? Do you get an HTTP error/"This page cannot be displayed"? Does it not show up, the "unexpected error" error?

Query.cmd -s -c -l "select * from ' cachename '" does not return results
We are working with coherence 3.6.1 on RH5 server. We are connecting to the grid and are able to query a cache through the command line. However, when we attempt to query a cache utilizing the following command, we receiving only the CohQL prompt:
query.cmd -s -c -l "select * from '<a cache>'"
This works on the UNIX side with the query.sh command.
Additionally:
redirect to a file = same issue
input from a file = same issues
input from a file, redirect to a file = same issue
etc....
The examples are OK, it just does not work as expected.
Thanks!!!We have been able to get the file input to file output to work
query.cmd -s -t -f < myinputfile -f > myoutputfile
still cannont get the
query.cmd -l "select * from 'mycache'" to work -
Ribbon on document library does not load
I am logged on as a Site Collection Admin and using IE 9.0.8112.16421 on Windows 7 SP1 and when I go to a list, I get "Loading..." and I have closed out, restarted, and tried to log on as a different user, when I do, it WORKS!
I set that user to be a Site Collection Admin, on same system, my system, multiple sites are affected. I just tried Calendars List and that seems to work OK, however Announcements, Custom Lists, Links List, etc. seem to be having the same "issue."
I read someone to try to use Developer Dashboard so I put it in here. Is it COMMON to have SO MANY SPWeb's in the list below?
I tried to go to the site and click refresh and then click on the List Tab, and try to get the ULS log results, this is what I got, and I don't know if it is "EVERYTHING" but others are using the site and a lot goes on and so I don't know if this
overlaps. This is all I got with the correlation ID.

2 node farm.
I just stood up another Web APP
http://sharepoint:343 port and using domain\sitecollectionadmin account is the same one I use, my administrator account, not my Matthew.Carter user account, but my Administrator.MC account. so I am logged as domain\Admin.MC
and so I am on port sp:80 and I get the "ribbon" loading... and then I go to a brand new "Team Site" site, NOTHING changed, just out of the box, "new team site" and I get the SAME THING! but this is on port :343 (random port #).
Just odd. If I set my matthew.carter account to be a site collection admin, as the admin.mc account is, then I can do the same thing logging on with the "Sign in as a different user." it's strange! Why would one account, with same
permissions get "stuck" "Loading..." and the other one, NOT? Only happening on that account.
Think I should bit the bullet, and ask to have that account deleted and added again? Just wonder what I can check as no "error's."
I forgot to add that I have rebooted the WIndows 7 x64 SP1, IE9 (x86) system I am on and closed out and tried "InPrivate" and not.
Just tried it on a dev Server 2012 R1 box on IE 10 x86 and got same "Loading" error with the admin.mc account. -
Oracle Text does not return results when String starts with two consecutive vowels
Hi,
I hope someone can shed some light on a strange problem we're facing.
Oracle Database 11g R2 (11.2.0.4) EE 64-bit running on Windows 2008 Server R2.
When I create a context index on a varchar2 column (surname) it works fine when the surname starts with either a consonant or one vowel. But when the surname starts with two vowels it fails to return the record?
Please see worked example below:
create table t1 (surname varchar2(50));
insert into t1 values ('OURS');
insert into t1 values ('JOURS');
insert into t1 values ('ONES');
commit;
-- sync every 10 mins
CREATE INDEX PERSON_SURNAME_IDX ON t1
(SURNAME)
INDEXTYPE IS CTXSYS.CONTEXT
PARAMETERS('MEMORY 50M sync (every "SYSDATE+10/1440")')
NOPARALLEL;
-- no rows
SELECT surname
FROM t1
WHERE CONTAINS(surname, 'OURS') > 0;
-- 1 row
SELECT surname
FROM t1
WHERE CONTAINS(surname, 'JOURS') > 0;
-- 1 row
SELECT surname
FROM t1
WHERE CONTAINS(surname, 'ONES') > 0;
Any help or guidance greatly appreciated.
Thanks,Wtf?

Get-csRgsWorkFlow command does not return result if you are using remote shell
I am connecting to Lync server remotely using windows powshell.
When I issue the command locally from the Lync server, I get the correct response. When I do the same command from the remote shell, I get empty response.
Can you help me why this is happening?Have you checked RBAC?

Subsequence does not return result
I want to have a subsequence return a pass or fail result to the main sequence. I read on the forums to make a pass/fail test in the subsequence and I set that step to cause the sequence to fail. I set a breakpoint and can see that that step is failing. I set another breakpoint after the call to the subsequence in the main sequence and that step always passes.
How do I do this properly? I can't seem to find any good documentation on the subject.
I have tested this in 3.5, 4.0, and 4.0.1. The attached sequences were made in 3.5.

When i closed my TestStand the system asked me so save NI-Types!! That means your Types differs from that which are shipped from NI.
Maybe you will get some problems with typeconflicts in future.
For all other users here in this forum be careful when loading the upper or my example. NEVER accept savings to NI-Steptypes !!!!!

Visual Studio profiler does not show results for XAML + DirectX project
The case is simple:
1) The solution consists of 3 projects: 2 C# ones (C# XAML project + C# library project) and one C++ runtime component initially created by the wizard, as this is a DirectX project.
2) "Start Windows Phone application analysis" runs OK, but when stopped no profiling results are shown. The message is "0 total samples collected", "No call tree data is available".
How can this problem be fixed? What are the assumed reasons?(I know the thread is old - but I have found some threads on the net asking about this problem, but nowhere answered, so I'll rectify this here)
Hey,
do you happen to have been profiling the *release build* ?
If so, try this:
In solution explorer, right-click on the native C++ project -> Properties -> Configuration Properties -> Linker -> Debugging
The top-most field "Generate Debugging Info" is probabyl empty, which is default for release build. But debugging info is needed to sample-profile functions! So select "Yes" there, and make sure the next option, "generate program
database file" has a sensible entry.
For me, this did it. -
MapViewer.getGeneratedImaegURL() does not return https for SSL mapviewers
We've setup a SSL mapviewer with an https:// URI but MapViewer.getGeneratedMapImageURL returns http://uri:7002 instead of https://uri:7002
This is easy enough to fix by testing if the getServiceURL starts with "https" and testing the start of getGeneratedMapURL and then replacing the "http:" with "https:" but it's a bug so we're reporting it here.
Thanks, MarkHi Mark,
thanks for your note. We will look it.

Find an item not returning results in SharePoint calendar list
Environment: SharePoint 2013 upgraded to SP1. We have 1000s of team sites that have been upgraded from 2010 to 2013. In the lists in these sites, quite often I encounter that
Find an item does not return results for certain fields other than the title field. For example, we have a calendar list which has a Single Line of Text field. I can not get meaningful results searching on
this field. I have tried this, no luck:
http://www.enjoysharepoint.com/Articles/Details/sharepoint-2013-find-an-item-search-box-does-not-return-20956.aspx
Search service crawls incremental every hour. I hope this does not need a full crawl.
Thanks, Soumya | MCITP, SharePoint 2010Thanks Ganesh. All these settings are as you recommended it to be. Nonetheless I double checked and here are the results:
Ensure in the Search Service Application that the Web Application is included in the Content Source under SharePoint Start Addresses.
Yes. Please remember we are getting search results. To be specific we are not getting Find items in the list to be returning accurate results.
Make sure that the address in Alternate access mappings default text box is same as the start crawl address in the search service application.
Yes.
List Setting - Allow items from this list to appear in search results? yes
Ensured
set “Require content approval for submitted item?” to “No”.
It is set to "No". However, will it not work for approved contents also?
Thanks, Soumya | MCITP, SharePoint 2010 -

OCIStmtExecute does not return immediately when client is busy.
Hi.
I'm testing a very busy multi-threaded client server that consistently generates
a large number of simple queries through oci. The problem is that, when the
server(client) is busy, OCIStmtExecute does not return immediately in
non-blocking mode.
Of course I have set non-blocking mode and OCIStmtExecute does return
OCI_STILL_EXECUTING immediately when the server is not busy. But
when log rotation occurs which concatenates a large text file (~500MB)
onto an even larger text file (up to several giga bytes), or when I simply copies
or concatenates large text files manually, OCIStmtExecute returns very slowly.
(roughly about after 100~200ms)
However, while log rotation takes place, everything else including other oci
calls that come before OCIStmtExecute (prepare, define) return fast. So
for me it really seems that only OCIStmtExecute becomes extremely slower
when local server (especially the disk) is busy.
Is there any way to let OCIStmtExecute immediately return all the time?
Thanks in advance.Yes, I knew that OCIStmtExecute would be the only function that causes such
delay and that was why I traced that call. And so far, I checked several times
what happens at the exact moment on the server but everything was ok.
Actually OCIStmtExecute becomes slower exactly when crontab-ed log rotate
occurs so I think this delay must be a client-side problem for now.
This server is quite busy and has to respond fast, so it is important to
guarantee fast response time while a small number of timeout losses are tolerable.
But as OCIStmtExecutes' first OCI_STILL_EXECUTING return takes hundreds of
ms it has become more like a blocking call and currently I cannot find any way to do what I want.
So now everytime such thing happens, the thread waits
quite long, after the first OCI_STILL_EXECUTING return
the time difference exceeds timeout limit, and the thread
calls OCIBreak() and OCIReset() and returns.
