didnt where to post this doubt.
Im in the process of instalation of Content Services for SAP 5.3. SP3.
Im testing archive services for sap 5.3. sp3. (archive services for sap installation guide page 63 "testing connection between sap and archives services")
IF_HTTP_CLIENT -> RECEIVE 1 ICM_HTTP_CONNECTION_FAILED
i m searching info about this issue and i didnt find out anything relate to this problem.
If somebody has a clue about it, dont doubt to write it down

We are looking into producting a solution for electronic billing using iDocs.
Someone mentioned that it might be possible to utilise Contyent Services for SAP.
Does anyone know if this can work with iDocs?
e.g. iDocs be passed in some way to this to be transformed into XML.

The issue is while trying to define a Content Repository in transaction OAC0. -
I get this error - HTTP error: 404 Not Found -
I have the following settings:
Document Area : ArchiveLink
Storage type: HTTP Content Server
Version no. 0045
HTTP server : IP of the Documentum Server
Port Number 9081
HTTP Script: /webtop/drl/objectId/contentserver.dll (This file may not be available - where do I get this from?)
Transfer drctry: /usr/sap/QA1/SYS/global (This directory is on the SAP server - is this correct or should it be on the Content Server?)
Also, EMC says that we have to install the additional software - "Content Services for SAP" - Do we require this for establishing a connection?

Using SAP Content Server for SAP E-Recruitment

Hi SAP Experts,
We are presently implementing SAP E-Recruitment using BSP services, We are successfully runnig with Whole E-recruitng cycle when we use SAP system DB as storgae for External Candidtes' Documents.
But, Our Client wants to have SAP Content Server to store all documents uploaded by External/Internal Candidates becuase client is worrying that if SAP system DB holds such huge data base of Resumes, it may slow down the performance of SAP System.
So, We need inputs from you suggesting whether is it feasible to use SAP Content server for SAP E-Recruitment Implementation. SAP no where suggests to Content server. So, we are in deliema to go for content server or not. If it is feasible to use Content server, pls provide me proper links or documents for reference.

We are considering the same option. We are concerned about performance after all these documents are uploaded too. Did you install a content server? How did it go and was it difficult to set up with e-rec?

WebDav Service for /SAP/BW/PUBLIC/ Folder

Hello
How can I create a Webdav service for a specific Folder in SE80 MimeRepository. There is one content Folder for the /SAP/BC/BSP/ but I need a Folder for /SAP/BW/PUBLIC/.

It's just a matter of specifying CL_O2_HTTP_WEBDAV in the handler list of that service in SICF.

XI for create web servicies for SAP R/3 4.6C

Hi All,
we are implementing PM (Plant Management) module of SAP R/3 4.6C and we have the necessity to create web services for some PM functionalities. Infact we need to integrate our SAP R/3 4.6C with other applications (non-SAP) through TIBCO (it's mandatory). So we think to use SAP XI. Moreover our users don't want to use SAP GUI for the accessing to the PM functionalities but they want an UI more friendly. So we think to use SAP EP.
Which is your opinion about this architectural scenario? Is it possible to fulfil the requirement of our business users with a more simple architectural solution (for example with WEB DYNPRO)?

Infact we need to integrate our SAP R/3 4.6C with other applications (non-SAP) through TIBCO (it's mandatory). So we think to use SAP XI.
TIBCO is another middleware. So once you expose your R/3 functionalities as web service, you may directly use TIBCO to integrate and XI won't be required at all.
Moreover our users don't want to use SAP GUI for the accessing to the PM functionalities but they want an UI more friendly.
WebDynpro application would provide you an easy GUI and could act as Soap client as well to send data.

if you have authorization you may get the detailed material of Cloud services and SAP Business By Design .

Content Repository for SAP Digital Personnel Files

Hi,
I am trying to configure and use SAP DPF to store employee's certifications and document. I had created record model and manage to create Personnel Records with tcode SRMRECORDSCREATE.
I am now trying to find out where the document loaded is stored in the SAP standard configuration. I searched from online help and documentation, it mentioned that it is based on the content repository that it is set. However, i couldn't find the standard Content Repository that SAP DPF is using.
I need to store the document in the external content server.

Web service for SAP R/3 user authentication

Hi Experts,
We are searching for any standard web service/ Bapi to authenicate an SAP user from an external system which needs WSDL to check this . External system will be providing the SAP user ID and password and expects an acknowledgemnt that whether the user is authenticated or not .
Is there any webservice/Bapi available for this purpose? if not how we can achieve this?

Hi,
I don't think there is any web service to just check authentication but the work around is simple :
Call any web service which just display some information (for example call STFC_CONNECTION function module as a web service).
As you need to authenticate to call the web service, send the user/password.
If you get the release information, the user/password is OK.
If you get HTTP 401 error, the user/password is KO.
Of course the user needs the authorisation to execute the STFC_CONNECTION function module.

Creating a WEB Service for SAP enterprise connector

I am using the SAP enterprise connector plugin for Netweaver 04.
It generated me all the classes that I need for the BAPI.
It also generated me a Proxy class.
I want to create a service.
This is what I've done :
1) create a portal service.
2) create a methode in the service :
public Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Output execute_BAPI_COMPANYCODE_GETDETAIL(
Bapi_Companycode_Getdetail_Input arg1)

Can any software provide the printing service for SAP?

I need printers for production tags. It is something like a label for the pack of goods.
I will have to print different tags for different customers as they requested. If better I can find some software which can easily change the layout of printer, with simple GUI, people can just dragging to the correct position.
Please give me some advice.

I need to find a easier solution, so that maybe even the end user can make customized product tag.
