Controlling colspan when outputting to spreadsheet

I am using 10g release 2, testing the DESFORMAT=SPREADSHEET functionality. I am able to get output in html which then opens nicely in excel. However, some columns come out in excel as 2 merged columns instead of 1. When i check the html source, those columns have colspan=2.. This is not related in any way to the size of the field in the .rdf.
Does anyone know how to control this?

Take a look at MetaLink Notes 372926.1 and 333080.1. I have done spreadsheet output many times, and I can tell you that for it to look very similar to PDF or HTML output, you need to take great care in aligning/sizing your fields and boilerplate items. It may take a bit of trial and error. Good luck!

  • Can I control the system output via Logic Pro?

    I know how to record system output in Logic Pro (CH 13&14), but in order to do that, the tracks in Logic Pro must be muted to avoid feedback.
    What I'm wondering is if I can control overall system output via a track/tracks in Logic Pro. I've got a Plextor PVR set up so that I can watch tv on my Mac, but when I connect my digital cable box to it the volume is down at around a faint -24 dB. I'd like to be able to boost the gain with Logic.

    When a sales order that has been created on the web has been saved, this should trigger an automatic email confirmation to be sent out.     I imported a jpg image as my button. Converted it to a button by Interactive/convert button. Even before I setup all the options in the buttons panel it moves. So for instance I have the button in the bottom RHS in Indesign. Then make a interactive pdf and its in the centre of the page. I have even converted the image back to an object and it goes back to in proper position.
    I have tried this in several documents, starting from scratch and using different images and also drawn a button. I have also used the buttons from the button library
    In previous version of Indesign I have never uncounted this problem.

  • ActiveX controls disappear when VI is loaded in a Sub-Panel with Start Modal Dialog usage

    Hi,
    I have a subpanel in a VI (VI1) in which another VI (VI2) is loaded. VI1 is used as a module for an Action step in TestStand. VI2 has ActiveX controls like ExpressionEdit and Adobe PDF reader etc. VI1 loads VI2 in a sub-panel and calls Start Modal Dialog.vi. I have set 'Show front panel when called' to true for VI1 so that the VI pops up when the sequence is run. When the sequence runs and when the Start Modal Dialog VI is called from VI1, all ActiveX controls in VI2 (loaded in the sub-panel) disappears. Here is the screenshot of the frontpanel of VI1 when the sequence is run:
    This problem occurs in TestStand 4.2.1, TestStand 2010 and TestStand 2010 SP1 (as far as I have tested. May occur in older versions too). In the attached file, VI1 is 'ExprEdit Test.vi' and VI2 is 'SubpanelLoad.vi'. The attached sequence is developed in TestStand 2010 SP1.
    How can this issue be solved?

    Hi,
    An update on this issue: I tried changing the order of loading the VI in the SubPanel and the start modal dialog. I called start modal dialog and then loaded the VI (VI2) in the SubPanel. When I ran the sequence, the activeX controls did not disappear (I was pretty sure that the ActiveX controls in VI2 would not disappear since I am calling Start Modal Dialog before loading the VI in the Subpanel). Then I just changed the sequence of operations back to the previous order (loading the Subpanel with the VI and then calling the Start Modal Dialog). When I ran the sequence, the activeX controls where still displayed. But when I ran the sequence with the VI1 backup (that I had taken before making all these modifications) the activeX controls were not displayed. I a nutshell, I now have 2 versions whose codes are the same. But when I run the sequence with action steps for these VIs, the activeX controls disappear when the unmodified backup VI runs and does not disappear when the modified VI is run. I have attached the files that I used along with the sequence file. The details are as follows:
    ExprEdit Test (Not Working).vi - The unmodified backup VI for which the ActiveX controls disappear.
    ExprEdit Test (Working).vi - The modified VIs in which the ActiveX Controls do not disappear (But same code as ExprEdit Test (Not Working).vi).
    ExpreEdit Test.seq - The sequence file containing 2 action steps one each for theabove mentioned VIs.
    SubpanelLoad.vi - The VI that contains activeX controls and is loaded in the SubPanel.
    Note that the sequence is created in TestStand 4.2.1.

    You may need a version without macros on it. Unfortunately, pretty much all apps are skinned down versions of their original program, often with less functionality. For example in a word document I can italicize,bold and underline, but I only have a handful of fonts to play with and I don't think I can insert tables or images.
    It is very possible that the app simply cannot run macros, which means that document may never work on an iPad.

  • PSE 7 Crashes when outputing to any format - Help!

    I have used the program (PSE 7) on the same machine for the past 2 years with limited issues - have always been able to restart the workstation and program and get my slide show outputed to the desired format.  I am expereincing the same issue again this year, but no matter how many time I restart the program crashes at random times when outputing.  May crash right away or at any different percentage of completion during the output process.
    Do I reinstall on the same machine?  If so, will I be able to recover all fo the work I have done?
    Do I upgrade to the newer version?  Will I have the same issue? 
         Shoudl I try to down load the trial version first?  Not sure if it over writes the current version and if I would lose anything?
    Please Help!  Needs some guidance as I have to get the annual High School Softball video completed by Monday for the banquet.

    Uninstalling and reinstalling will not affect your existing catalog, nor saved slideshow projects. If you also use Premiere Elements note that PRE video projects no longer appear in the organizer, although they can still be opened directly in PRE.

    Without an identified cause of the existing problem that question cannot be answered.

    Yes, install the trial. Multiple version of PSE can coexist. When installing a later version of PSE I always make a copy of the catalog from my previous version and convert that rather than the original.

  • How to re-arrange columns when outputting a SELECT statement?

    Assume a table holds a lot of columns: A, B, C, D, E,......., Z
    When outputting the result auf a SELECT statement the columns should be re-arranged as follows:
    The first column should be E, then the second column should be C and then all remaining columns should
    follows in a order as if there would be no re-ordering. How can I do this in SQL WITHOUT having to list all
    columns individually like in:
    SELECT E,C, A, B,D,F,.....,Z FROM .....
    Furthermore the first and second column should not re-appear again (twice) as in a statement like
    SELECT E, C, * FROM .....;
    How can I achieve this?

    If you have more output than will fit on one line, then you can
    (1) Increase the size of the line, or
    (2) Decrease the size of the output
    or both.
    Display issues like this always depend on your front-end.
    For example, in SQL*Plus you can use SET LINESIZE to make lines bigger, and COLUMN to reduce wasted space within the lines.
    When you start your own thread, be sure to mention your front-end tool and version.

    instead of '<' symbol if i place an '=' symbol then its workig fine.
    So how do I use <, <=, > or >= operators in a WHEN clause of a control file can any one help me?

    Thanks for the suggestion but by searching in someother sites i found that
    only equality operators ('=', '!=' or '<>') are permited in the WHEN clause expressions of a control file in SQL Loader.
    So now i changed my logic.

  • Class names not sticking when output as book?

    Indesign CC, outputting to ePUB from a book file with 4 chapters, does not output the correct, named class in the CSS and source code, the class takes the name of the style instead.
    As a check, I output a single chapter using File > export and my named classes were retained in both source code and CSS sheet.

    Answering my own post 
    I was contacted by one of the Adobe team responsible for epub output and he put me right on this issue.
    In Book files, there is the concept of a Style Source - that .indd file contains all of the styles for the book and is used to copy all of the styles to the other chaters in the book. When outputting to an ePUB (and, I guess, a PDF file) form the Book file, then the styles in that .indd file are used across the project.
    In my testing, I had shortened the class names for each of the styles in the constituent chapters except in the source file, so the original class names were being used for each of the HTML files being output to the ePUB. Once the source file had been updated, then the output worked as expected.

    is shown. However, when I insert these animation (swf) into another
    project, the playback control are different of this animation are
    different !!! Any idea ?

    The problem still exists even if I have re-created the child
    movies (swf version 8) with other playback control.
    I have removed the playback control of the child movies and
    then just re-imported them back to the master movie. The master
    moview has been then published to EXE and it is fine (the child
    movies dies not show anymore the playback control).
    Then i have re-inserted the playback control into the child
    movie, and re-imported them back into the master, then the master
    published to EXE. And the problem is back, the child movies are
    showing a diffeent playback control (the same as dpierre - the skin
    used is dark grey, align top left, and the buttons don't actually
    work.)
    Is there a way to clear any cache that exists in the files
    (if the problem is the chache) ? I have a huge project with 20-25
    child movies to import into the master movie. It looks like a bug
    ?

    Without a link, it's anybody's guess.
    It could be a problem the video rendering itself.  Which software did you use?
    Did you export to the 3 file types -- MP4, OGG and WEBM to support all browsers?
    Does your web server support those 3 MIME file types?
