  • CONVERT_TO_LOCAL_CURRENCY currency conversion errors in Delta mode

    Hello,
    I have been working with SAP via customer messages for a month now with no resolution.  As many of you have experienced, the SAP Level 1 support is pretty useless so I would like to check here to see if I can get some help.
    I found a thread where another user has had the exact same problem as I have.
    Problem: Exchange rate in Update rules with DELTA mode
    However, there was no answer given to him.  So, if anyone can help, I appreciate it.  Here's the problem:
    When a record comes through 2LIS_13_VDITM (for example), it had a document currency of EUR, a local currency of PLN and a statistical currency of USD.  The first time the record comes through, it comes through just fine.  The exchange rate from EUR to PLN is 3.533.  The statistical currency value is calculated by taking the document currency value and multiplying it by the exchange rate from EUR to PLN to get the local currency.  Then, this local currency is converted to USD by multiplying itself by the PLN to USD exchange rate of 1.519.
    These are the exchange rates that are coming through as key figures on the transaction data.  The problem is when a delta occurs.  The data goes into the ODS and then once the update rules to the cube get it, the signs are backwards on the exchange rates.  This makes sense so that the exchange rate key figures will cancel themselves out, but the SAP code says to calculate the local currency, it must first take the document currency and divide by the exchange rate.  It should still be multiplying because the exchange rate from EUR to PLN is still 3.533.  The negative on the key figure that is being zeroed out tells the code to divide though.
    You cannot simply set the reversal indicator because the values that do come through ok would then be erraneous as the previous poster who had the same issue encountered.  This is really causing some bad data for us.  This is SAP delivered code.  Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Brent

  • Getting details on Preview "PostScript Conversion Error"

    I'm using Preview 2.1.0 on OS 10.3.9, and I write PostScript code by hand for technical documents.
    When I write a program that is correct, the image shows up in Preview just fine. But if I make a mistake (which is often), all I get is the Preview message "PostScript Conversion Error", which doesn't tell me much.
    Can I somehow get Preview to reveal the underlying PostScript error message, such as "stackunderflow", "rangecheck" or "undefined <name>"? This would same time.

    Thanks for responding promptly.
    Actually, I'm not a professional. Rather, I do PostScript as a hobby because it is a fascinating computer language, and it allows the user to generate extremely precise graphics.
    I suspect that well-endowed PostScript development environments are rare because nobody is really expected to write large PostScript programs -- rather, the user writes a large program in some other language (like C++), and has it generate lengthy, but simple, PostScript code. I've done that myself.
    Still, since Preview can interpret PostScript, and seems to do it right, it'd be a shame if we can't get the text of an error message that the interpreter is presumably generating. My gut feeling is that there is a way.

    The Problem is that the variable Leave_Reason is declared as a local variable inside a if block. So the scope of the variable is not visible outside the if block...
    Try using something like
    String Leave_Reason = "";
    if(rs.next())
    Leave_Reason = rs.getString("LeaveType");
    else
    { out.println("no results found");
    This should work...
    Hope it helps.

  • RSWUWFML2 - CONVERSION ERROR sending workitem out via SCOT

    Hi there,
    Please help, I am using report RSWUWFML2 to send workitems to outlook, the email gets to outlook but it seems like there is a CONVERSION error that occurs in SAP that results in no workitem ATTACHMENT being in the email.
    The error in the email is: "Message cannot be processed as it cannot be converted"
    I turned on the trace in SCOT and this is the log....look at the sections in BOLD to see what happened:
    SX_PERFORM_RFCSEND               G  <b>Formats supported: ALI INT OBJ OTF PDF RAW SCR URL     </b>
    SX_OUTGOING_VERSION_BUILD        G  Read contents of document RAW32000000034669

    SX_OUTGOING_VERSION_BUILD        G  <b>No suitable conversion found for SAP                   </b> SX_GENERATE_NDR                  G  <b>Message cannot be processed as it cannot be converted  </b>
    My apologies for the bad formatting above, was the best I could do from copy and paste from SCOT....
    I have also looked at the "conversion rules" in SCOT.....could this be the problem? It seems to want to convert type "SAP" to something.....but there is no "SAP type" in the conversion rules?
    PLEASE help, I really need to get over this obstacle
    Thanks
    Lynton

    Not sure if this will confuse matters more but if I look in the LOGS further in transaction SLG1 I see the following:

    So this log looks fine BUT the previous trace from SCOT looks bad.....
    Any ideas?

  • Conversion Error of SelectManyCheckBox

    Hi @ all,
    I need your help urgently!
    I want to realize two SelectManyCheckBox, each of them has a valueChangeListener. When user change the current state of the check boxes, some actions are performed.
    The problem now is when one check box is clicked(a valueChangeListener is called), then a conversion error message is shown out, which says there is a conversion error occured at the other SelectManyCheckBox component.
    I tried several times and found, only if the presious state of the check box component is empty, such conversion error occurs.
    The codes are like following:
                           <TD>
                                 <h:selectManyCheckbox value="#{admin.filterSelection1}" id="filter1" immediate="true"
                                      valueChangeListener="#{admin.firstFilter}" onchange="submit()">
                                     <f:selectItems value="#{admin.filters1}"/>
                                </h:selectManyCheckbox>
                           </TD>
                            <TD>
                                 <h:selectManyCheckbox value="#{admin.filterSelection2}" id="filter2" immediate="true"
                                      valueChangeListener="#{admin.secondFilter}" onchange="submit()">
                                     <f:selectItems value="#{admin.filters2}"/>
                                </h:selectManyCheckbox>
                           </TD>..............
    and the corresponding properties in the backing bean are:
         private ArrayList filterSelection1;
         private ArrayList filterSelection2;
         private SelectItem[] filters1;
         private SelectItem[] filters2;in the constructor of the backing bean, i initialized filters1, filters2 also filterSelection1 and filterSelection2. And their set , get methods are generated by eclipse automatically.
    Waiting for your answers......
    Finally I wish the person, who replied, a happier Christmas, and the person who does not replied, a happy Christmas. :-)
    db

    thanks for your reply, but i think my problem is not what you meant.
    I changed my code a little bit, the conversion error remains......

    According to the book "Core JavaServer Faces" p213 (fifth edition), if I add the following line to messages.properties file, and specifiy it in the faces-config.xml and .jsp file, then the displayed conversion error message should be my tailored one instead of the default. However, I still get the default error message. Besides, I didn't find "CONVERSION" variable in UIInput class. Is the book wrong? And what's the correct way?
    javax.faces.component.UIInput.CONVERSION=Please correct your input

    I didn't choose any special in JDeveloper IDE. I just selected "new" to create a file called "message.properties" and put the line there. I didn't specify converters excepts declaring the type in the Jave Beans. I guess the converting is done by the JSF framework automatically. It must be a JSF converter since I created the page as a JSF page.

  • Error while impdp: ORA-02374: conversion error loading table

    Hi,
    I am trying to convert the character set from WE8ISO8859P1 to AL32UTF8 using expdp/impdp. for this I first convert WE8ISO8859P1 to WE8MSWIN1252 in source DB to get rid of “lossy” data. I created new database(target) with character set AL32UTF8 and nls_length_semantics = ’CHAR’ and created all the tablespaces as in source DB with auoexend on. I took full export (expdp) of source DB excluding TABLESPACE,STATISTICS,INDEX,CONSTRAINT,REF_CONSTRAINT and imported using impdp to target DB. I found below error in the import log file:
    ORA-02374: conversion error loading table "SCTCVT"."SPRADDR_CVT"
    ORA-26093: input data column size (44) exceeds the maximum input size (40)
    ORA-02372: data for row: CONVERT_STREET_LINE1 : 0X'20202020202020202020202020202020202020202020202020'
    I checked with select query on both DBs with below results.
    source DB:
    04:58:42 SQL> select count(*) from "SCTCVT"."SPRADDR_CVT";
    COUNT(*)
    74553
    target DB:
    04:59:24 SQL> select count(*) from "SCTCVT"."SPRADDR_CVT";
    COUNT(*)
    74552
    please suggest me a solution to this.
    Thanks and Regards.

  • ME21N--Quantity conversion error in net price calculation

    Hi MM experts,
    Issue: while creating PO, when attempting to add the net price for line item. but system removes the cost and gives the follow error message says "Quantity conversion error in net price calculation".
    The system was not able to convert the order unit into the purchase order price unit. Possible reasons:
    i) the conversion results in a net price that is too high, or
    ii) the conversion factor for the units has not been properly maintained.
    iii) Check whether the units of measure and their conversion factor are correct.
    I have checked material master>unit of measure> 1 PL = 22 KG maintained.
    Can you please tell me how to resolve this issue?
    Appreciated early response.
    Thanks in advance.
    Suresh

    Hi Suresh,
    Please check on Material Master Data - Accounting 1 tab - Price Unit

  • Quantity Conversion Error in Net Price Calculation

    We are currently using SRM 5.0 ECS where we created a material PO and had a problem with the product not having the language E maintain in the material master. This caused the PO to have status of "error in process"  Once we fixed this issue and tried to reprocess the PO we're not getting the following error message in the Application Monitor:
    No Instance of Object type PurchaseOrder has been created. External Reference
    Puchase Order still contains faulty Items
    Quantity Conversion Error in Net Price Calculation
    Has anyone seen this or know what we can do to resolve this so that the PO gets replicated in R3?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Robert,
    Regarding this backend error E 212 06 Quantity conversion error in net
    price calculation.
    This error is because in the PO Order price unit is empty. And
    quantity is null. So, please enter the quantity and order price unit
    for this PO and order the PO again. Or you can retransfer the
    PO manually using the FM BBP_PD_PO_TRANSFER_EXEC. (for this fm you need
    to input the PO header guid, which you will get it from tx.BBP_PD
    by providing PO number and object type as BUS2201).
    This has worked for other customers.
    Hope this helps,
    Kind Regards,
    Matthew

  • Quantity conversion error in net price calculation in BAPI_PO_CREATE1

    I'm creating PO from BAPI_PO_CREATE1 .here i'm getting follwing error
    quantity conversion error in net price calculation.
    plz guide me to remove it.

    Are you using quantities directly entered by the user while calling the function to do the net price calculation? If that is the case, you should use FM CONVERSION_EXIT_ALPHA_INPUT to convert the quantity from the external format into the internal one!
    Another possibility is that some customizing is missing for converting quantities in different unit of measures (like the quantity in pieces is known, but the pricing calculation is being done on kilos.. but the convertion between these 2 unit of measures is missing).
    Good luck!
