Convert RTF to Excel coulmwise

Hi,
I have downloaded spool data through "RSPO_RETURN_ABAP_SPOOLJOB" and the resulting raw formatted data is converted to rich text format through "SO_RAW_TO_RTF"
Now i find the data is in single column in the Excel sheet which is to be attached and sent to the mail recipient.
Please help me how to separate the data in each column.

You can try like this.. may be some other good options will be.. but this also works..
After geting data from FM RSPO_RETURN_ABAP_SPOOLJOB. you can check in debud mode, check which lines you dont need.
delete those lines. no need to convert into RTF.
just format your data with..
delete un wanted lines
delete lt_new FROM 1 to 6.
delete lt_new index 2.
loop at lt_new ASSIGNING <ls_new>.
REPLACE all OCCURRENCES OF '|' in <ls_new> WITH CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES=>HORIZONTAL_TAB.
ENDLOOP.
then call function GUI_Download..

How can I convert an entire excel workbook to pdf? I have the box in the preferences for converting excel files marked to convert the entire workbook. I am using Abobe Acrobat 11 Statndard. This previously worked fine when I was using Adboe Acrobat 10 Statndard. Now in order to convert the entire workbook I have to open the excel file, Highlight all the workbook tabs and then save the file. Any ideas?

In Acrobat click Edit | Preferences | Convert to PDF: select Microsoft Office Excel, then click on Edit Settings. Make sure that 'Convert entire Excel workbook' is checked.

the only other ways (as I know), if you really want to convert is
a) write a parser to convert html into csv(xls)
b) use a html2csv script on the os level
like:
http://sebsauvage.net/python/html2csv.py (or just google html2csv)
c) use excel (data source web; local file: "file:///C:/test.htm"

Error while converting RTF to PDF

Hi,
I have got a requirement to convert .rtf file to .pdf file while downloading. The .rtf file is in application server. I have used the FM CONVERT_RTF_TO_ITF to convert to ITF format. After this I am using the FM CONVERT_OTF to convert it to pdf format. But in this step I m not getting the pdf format file. I am getting an exception 'ERR_BAD_OTF'. Is there any other step in between after converting to .itf format and convert_otf. Can any one please help me on this.

What is the error that you're receiving when you try to convert? Is it the "Conversion Failure" message? Can you tell me more about the files you're unable to convert? What application created the PDFs? Are there many pages in these these files, or a complex mix of text and graphics?
It'll also be helpful to know whether you're converting via the ExportPDF website (and what browser you're using), or through Adobe Reader.
I look forward to hearing back from you, so we can get to the bottom of this!

PDF does not contain columns, rows, formats, styles, or other aspects of word processing or spreadsheet file formats.
This is because PDF is decidedly not a word processing or spreadsheet file format or something "like" one of those.
(see ISO 32000 for what PDF "is")
What can optimize the export of PDF page content is to start with a well-formed tagged PDF (ISO 14289-1, PDF/UA-1 compliant).
Without that export is what it is and one performs whatever content cleanup is needed using the native application for the export file (MS Word or Excel).

Hi linda93790,
If you uploaded your files to http://cloud.acrobat.com, simply click on one of the PDF files, then click 'ExportPDF' from along the top-bar in your browser. This will automatically load that PDF into the ExportPDF system. From there, you can configure any options you may need and convert the file to an .xlsx file.

Convert rtf to pdf with good font and sharp images

I can convert rtf to pdf in Microsoft Word (2004) using the Print function but the resulting document doesn't maintain the same font and the images look a bit hinky as a result.
I tried to convert from rtf to pdf in Acrobat 9 but it sez unsupported file type.
I just want a really clean conversion that keeps the images sharp and the fonts looking good. Am I out of luck?

Help with converting pdf to excel

I have a pdf of an excel file which I need to convert back to excel. The problem is that when I convert it only half the pages convert correctly to excel but the first three pages are unreadable. Any suggestions as I am stuck on why it only converts half the pages correctly.

You must be using the subscription service with Adobe Reader (ExportPDF)?
If so, you would need the password for the pdf. The bank may have (automatically) added a password preventing any changes. That would need to be removed first.

Generating reports in RTF and Excel on Sun Solaris

Could any one of u out there kindly tell me if it is possible to generate reports in RTF and Excel formats on a Report Server running in Sun Solaris machine. We use Reports 6i.
Because I am able to generate a report in RTF format on report running in Windows NT machine, but on Solaris i get a message that the Reports Server terminated abnormally!.

Converting RTF to PDF?

Hi all,
I am developing a system which allows users to upload RTF files (generated by Microsoft Word). My program will convert them to PDF programmatically on the server side and send the PDF back to the users.
I installed a PDF printer driver on the server, and then use JEditorPane to load the RTF file and print it to the PDF printer. This works fine for simple RTFs, but for fancy RTFs (eg. with headers and footers, or watermarks) this doesn't work very well, because the RTFEditorKit in Java does not support some advanced features in the RTF specification.
Anyone has a solution to this problem? Is there an RTF reader which are fully compatible with MS Word, even non-Java ones? Thanks a lot!!

I've got no experience in this area, but I think OpenOffice has an API that may offer functionality to convert rtf documents to pdf(or any other format openoffice can convert).

Then I need to convert that into excel. I tried using CONVERT_OTF. But alignment is not coming properly. I have logo also in the script. That also I want in the excel . When I send the mail, the data is not showing correctly
Has anyone worked in similar scenario? Please tell me what are the ways for doing this?

I was advised by an adobe staff member to purchase Adobe Standard X1 to convert PDF to Excel. However the info is placed randomly on the page.

Subscriber for what? Acrobat? If so, just download it and install. Then start it and log in to activate your subscription version. You may have to wait for a few days for the subscription to be activated if you just purchased it today.
