Converting planned orders into contract

Hi.
When running MRP, It seems that is only possible to create Purchase requisitions, schedule agreement divisions or planned orders. I need that the MRP output goes to a contract.
Does anyone know if itu2019s possible to do it directly from MRP run?
Or perhaps there is some BAPI or user program to convert planned orders in contracts.
Appreciate the help I can get!
Best regards.

MRP is an operative planning mechanism. If you want to be more efficient in purchasing and bypass the PO path, the alternative would be using Scheduling Agreements.
Nevertheless, normal MRP cannot be used to trigger the creation of SAs. This is a strategic purchasing job, and, as a contract, cannot be created from a planned order.
You could use Long Term Planning and Purchasing Info System to get an idea of which SAs are required, but it is mainly a manual process.
Later, after you have the SA defined, you can make MRP create delivery calls in the agreement automatically.

It's not possible in standard, you may try to find if there is such BADI or user-exit available
    1.  Start transaction SE81
    2.  Expand the branch for the component you wish to search e.g PP-MD-BOM
, then select the entire subtree (F9)
    3.  Goto Environment  >Repository Information System  >Selected
        Packages
    4.  Select the option Objects->Enhancement->
         Business Add-ins or Customer exits->
Double click on the Definations or Enhancements
    5.  Execute (F8)
A list of user exits (enhancements) for the selected component will be
    displayed.

    Hi,
Planned order is just a system proposed order its upto the user if they want to use all or part of it, for this they have to convert them.. If you dont want to convert them you can delete them as else the SNP will keep considering it as a valid supply.
If the planned orders are not required on some particular dates on a permanent basis then you need to modify the Factory calender accordingly, so that the system will consider as if the resources are not available on thoese dates.

  • Convert planned orders into material reservation

    Hi All,
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to convert through a standard SAP Program, planned orders (MRP) into a material reservation? Like MD15 converts into Purchase requisitions!
    Thanks in advance,
    MG

    Hi,
    I don't think.
    - Planned order is procurement proposal. It increases available quatity - you can check it in MD04.
    - Reservation is a requirement that reduces your stock (available quantity) - check it in MD04.
    E.g.
    header material: materialA
    children part: materialB
If you have PrdOrd for materialA, at the same time you have a(n order) reservation for materialB. PrdOrd of materialA means that your stock increases (you produce materialA), whilst (order) resrvation of materialB means its stock will decrease because you consume it for PrdOrd.
So, you can see that the nature of PldOrd & reservation is totally different - that's why I think there's no point in speaking about of conversion of a PldOrd into reservation.

  • I m doing operation subcontracting  . i that i m converting planned order

    dear sir
i m doing operation subcontracting  . i that i m converting planned order into prod order . i m facing error like Error or warning occurred during master data  transfer (see ). plz explain whole opration sub contracting step by step

    Dear,
    Procedure
    1. Create Purchase Info Record using T code ME11.(Vendor & material combination) for subcontracting.
    2. While creating routing for that header material and defining operation, For the
10 to 40th operation for which outsourcing is given set the control key as
PP02.After entering the control key as PP02 ,press enter -the system asks you
for the purchasing info record no & check the tick mark for Sub-contracting. Here
give the number which u obtained while using T code ME11.
    4) The moment you release the order system will create the PR for all external processing operations.
    5) That material you can transfer to your subcontracting vendor by ME2O or you can post transfer posting.
    6) In transfer posting you need to mention as a reference of Subcontracting PO, which you have already converted from SubPR.
    7) In that transfer posting, system will automaticaly generate 541Mtyp.
    8) You need to create SubCon Challan (J1IF01), for the material which you are sending outside of your plant.
    9) You need to mention that material doc number in creating challan.
    10) The same challan will be reconcilled after receipt of the material thru simple MIGO process.
    11) Your challan should get reconcilled by J1IFQ. It will remove the stock from supplier end from your system.

  • Partial conversion of planned order into production order of AFS material

    Dear Experts,
I am working with SAP 6.0 EHP4 with AFS add-on. My material is AFS specific material. I am not able to convert planned order into production order partially from MD04 screen as all the fields in the CO48 screen is grayed out.

    Hi,
I am not able to get what is passing the start date.
Second thing is how you are generating the serial number - manually or automatic?
If you are generating serial number automatic, then it is not possible to generate it considering the basic start date.
But if you are entering the serial number manually, then there should not be any problem as system will accept that serial number which you enter at the time of conversion of planned order to production order.

  • Convertion of planned order into Purchase Requisition

    Hi,
I have a planned order with Qty 50 (I have checked in MD16 it says qty:50)
    Scenario 1:
I converted it to Purchase Requisition with qty.40, with change in qty. 10 numbers. After converting with qty. difference, I checked it in MD16, it say the qty as 10.
    Scenario 2:
I converted it to Purchase Requisition with qty.60, with change in qty. 10 numbers. After converting with qty. difference, I checked it in MD16, I never find that Planned order in the list.
    Now my questions are:
    1. In which table this difference will be stored?
    2. Or is there any t-code to see this Pl. order and PR qty. difference?
    3. with respect to the second scenario why the planned order is not listed if i put more qty. in Purchase requisition than in the planned order?
    4. Is there any setting to be done in IMG?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi
Planned order are just like PR assume that if you have PR of 100 Qty but still you can do PO more then of PR Qty.
In the same way in case of planned order either you can convert it to PR or Production/process Order it behaves in the same manner.
Planned order data will be stored in table PLAF but once planned order deleted or converted it will not be in any table
You can fetch the deleted planned order data or converted planned order data.
But still you can go to individual PR to see the reference of Planned order no there.

  • Update gets terminated when we convert planned order to purchase requisitio

    Hi All,
I am facing a problem when I am converting a planned order generated after MRP run into a purchase requisition.
    My MRP settings are .
    Strategy is 10
    Procurement type F.
When I convert my planned order into Purchase requisition with MD14 the system gives me a Purchase requisition number , but as soon as I press enter after that I get a message:
"Express Document: Update was terminated , received from author my name".
Now when I check the PR number the PR number generated above does not exist in the system. Please tell me where can i check the same.

    Hi
Check the PR number range, whether the PR number range is created or not
Go to OMDT t.code and check the PR accounted assignment for your plant.
If the planned order created through PIR the account assignment must be U
If the Planned order created from through the sales order the account assignment must be E or C.
    try this
    Thanks

  • Convert Planned orders in single shot with a Single PR

    Hi,
Is it possible to convert the multiple planned orders into a single Purchase Requsition with in a single transaction.
Existing SAP :- MD 16 >Select Planned Order>Convert to PR of a single Planned Order
I am looking for the same like above for multiple planned orders.
                           My Requirement :-
                                      a) Materials from 001 to  030 under one MRP Controller.
                                      b) Planned Orders  001 to 030 for the above materials
                                      c) Want to Raise a single PR for 30 planned Orders of 30 Materials.
So please Let me know the solution/Suggestion/If it is not a best practice.
    Cheers,
    Anil.

    Govinder,
Define those components for collective processing. You need to define "2" - for Field Indv/Coll in MRP4 view of those material master and you can have daily/weekly/monthly lotsize defined for those items.

  • Option to convert Planned orders to Process order C

Kindly suggest, which is the best option to convert Planned order to Process order C from below mentioned options
    1) Convert Planned orders to Process order C & send it to R/3. or
    2) Send Planned orders to R/3 & convert it into Process order C in R/3
    Regards,
    Chetan

Depends on the process and how stable your planning is. If there is a lot more decisions to be made in the R3 side you let the planned orders be converted in R3 else
you normally would use the conversion indicator and send the planned order to R3 and it gets converted to Process Order there

  • Conversion of planned order into prd order

    Dear Gurus
Is it possible to convert planned order to prd order automaticaly ?Is there any setting in customising?
    thanks
    kk

    Hi
In Standard SAP there is no such possibility.
In real time normally it is not required like that.
why because ,after looking into the planned order, planner/scheduler should convert planned oirder into production order. to have a better control.
Planned order is one of the control step for proper scheduling.
I do nto think it is required.
If still business required to that you have to go in for customized programe with back ground scheduling.

  • Conversion of planned order into subcontracting order

    Hello Gurus,
my problem concerns a subcontracted material.
This material may be produced internally (managed with production order) OR produced externally (managed with subcontracting order) depending on the available capacity of the production line.
For this material MRP must generate planned orders, so the planner can choose either to produce either to subcontract.
The planned order is then converted manually into production order or into purchase request.
With procurement type = X, it is possible to do so. However when I convert my planned order into purchase request, my item category is NOT automatically set up to L.
So I have to enter the item category manually even if I have only one purchasing info record (with record category = 3).
Do you think it is possible to create automatically a "subcontracting request" from the planned order ?
    Many thanks for your help
    regards
    Amaury

    Hello,
I am afraid that when I enter procurement type=X & special procurement=30 in material master data, planned orders created by MRP have then a order type = NB (standard purchase order) and special produrement type = 3 (subcontracting).
So this kind of planned orders can only be converted into purchase request and NOT into production order.
It looks like it is not standard to do so in SAP and that I will have to manage subcontracting in prodution order; 1 routing for internal operation and 1 routing for subcontracting.
    Thanks
    Amaury

  • Conversion of Planned order into a Production Order.

    Hi All,
I have one ticket in which I have to change the format of generating serial no.s.This format has to consider
Basic Start Date while generating it.In our project Serial No is getting generated at the time of Production Order.
So I have to pass this start date before Prod Order is getting created from a Planned Order. What i want to know is it possible to pass a start date when a Planned Order is getting converted into Prod Order as i think it will be a standard SAP program which will convert a Planned Order into Prod Order.Any suggestions on how to achieve this is most welcome.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Saket

If you are generating serial number automatic, then it is not possible to generate it considering the basic start date.

  • Convert planned order to purchase order directly

    HELLO GURUS
how can i convert planned order directly to purchase order and avoid converting it to purchase requisition? what is the steps can to make it from IMG?

    Abobakr,
    Requirement can't be met.
But you can think of creation of purchase requisition inplace of planned order & convert this purchase requisition to purchase order.
You can achieve this by maintaining 'Create purchase requisition' as 1 or enetering the item category against the component in the FG BOM as N i.e non stock item.
    Hope this helps you.
