Report Painter - Values not displaying
I have a report created in Report Painter using Library 1GK that shows the total units. When I run the report for all cost centers the data does not display. I can explode the row and see the values but not total. I can export the data and the values export. This happens for both units and hours. Any ideas?
Thank you!
HelenPlease check the Section layout for your report and review the Rows tab. The Miscellaneous area has Mark Totals and Suppress duplicated totals. Treatment of zero rows can also be checked, may be the total of debits and credit of individual rows are totalling to zero. Just a guess.

Few values of report column do not display in report while applying filter
Post Author: anuragg11
CA Forum: WebIntelligence Reporting
There are 6 drill filters applied on the report to filter out the report column data. Few values of the report are not displaying in the report when using drill filter. Same issue is with report filter too. If filters are removed then values are appearing in the report. We are using version BO XI R2 & Java runtime JRE 1.4v. It doesn't look issue is with Java version because only few specific data of the report column are not shown in the report when using filter on the data. Example: One of Report data column contains below values: 24.2, 26.9, 120.1, 230, 274.9, 275.8, 333.2 Report is displaying all these values when there is no filter on any data. But report doesn't display data when applying filter on 274.9 or 120.1 howver filter on other values 24.2, 26.9, 230, 275.8, 333.2 are working fine.Hello,
I think i know what your problem is.
Although in table view your 2 requests combine perfectly and show separate results in pivot view BI unfortunaterly adds them up.
One work around would be to go in your criteria add in each request a dummy column. This can be obtained the following way:
1. click on a column to add it in the criteria (it doesnt matter which one)
2. go into the edit formula of that column
3. delete the formula and in its place write 'Dummy Column 1'
Do the same for the second request by adding a "Dummy Column 2'
Now the Pivot Table should also show up correctly
Let me know if it goes well or if you have any further questions,

Stock in warehouse report - value not displayed.
In the "Stock in warehouse report" I selected this option: Price source = Last purchase price.
In the report, for an item, the value in the field "Item Price" is not displayed.
This item has a good receipt (with value) in this year.
Why the value is not displayed?
Thanks
PaoloPaolo...
1. Did that receipt get paid for with an AP Invoice (when last purchase price is updated)?
and
2. Did you run an Inventory Audit Report before running the Inventory in Warehouse Report?
To see this maybe you can go into SAP OEC DEMO and create a new item, then create a PO - run the two reports, copy to Goods Receipt PO - run the two reports, and then copy to AP Invoice - run the two reports. You will see the difference.
Accounting point - an item is not really valued until the AP Invoice is processed. Only then do you know what the actual purchase cost is for a product.

defining the field catalog you must reference all currency fields to the respective currency key field (type CUKY).
<alv_fieldcat>-cfieldname = 'HWAER'.
This is sample for alv output of a currency field. The alv structure has a field HWAER which carries the currency key, e.g. USD or so.
Obviously you do not provide a cutrrency key for your values. If they are initial (zero), ALV will not display them as 0,00 but leave the field empty if the reference too currency key is not established.
If you define a DDIC structure for the ALV output this refernce is enforced. You can pass the DDIC structure name to the ALV and don not have to create the field catalog manually.

Hi All,
I am using sharepoint designer 2007 and am trying to use a sqldatasource to populate a gridview and then display that on an .aspx page. While in designer everything seems to configure okay. I am able to test the connection and display the data
as expected from the sqldatasource within designer. Then I have the gridview control use the sqldatasource. At that point the grid (within designer) displays the headings as expected. The data that is displayed in the cells is "test data" rather
than actual data value - I'm not sure if this is normal - for example, the data values in every column / row are all equal to 'abc'. Date values are all equal to current date.
Then when I actually display the sharepoint page (via Preview in browser) I get an error "An unexpected error has occurred".
I am using SQLExpress on my laptop as the database for the sqldatasource. I have tried both integrated (windows) and SQL authentication with the same results.

I am unable to connect to my SQL EXPRESS db on my laptop via SPD 2007: I get the error -
I am able to access that database via SQL Server Mgmt. Studio (both with Windows and SQL Server authentication). I can also access a SQL Express database on a remote server from the exact same SPD 2007 session: I get -
So, I wonder why I can connect to the remote but not the local? Anyway, if you have any ideas I would appreciate it. I am willing to do the work from the article you mention but wanted to rule out there being a simple DB access issue first. I'll also
start to find the ULS logs and review them.
Thanks again !!
Update on 1-3-14: Hi, since yesterday I also have been able to connect to the SQLEXPRESS database / table and display the .aspx page with the gridview in Visual Studio 2010.
Update 1-26-14: Sorry for the delayed response. I determined the reason why I could not connect to the SQLEXPRESS instance on my laptop was that there was a local host intrusion (firewall) rule on my machine that prevented an inbound connection
on port 1433. SharePoint server >>> inbound connect on port: 1433 >>> to Laptop device, not allowed.
Thanks. -
Null values not displaying in the LOV on the parameter form.
My report works perfect while in Oracle Reports 10g, however when I move it to our menu (Oracle Forms 10g) it does not display the null in the LOV on the parameter form.
This report allows the the user to select by inspector or district or everyone for certain dates.
Ex: I have 4 parameter fields. The user must enter the start & end dates and either the Inspector or the district or leave the inspector or district null to run for everyone.
The district LOV is :
select dnr_section_code, description from dnr_section_code where dnr_section_code in ('29', '38','52')
UNION
select null, 'All' from dual
order by 2 asc ;
The inspector LOV is:
select null , 'All' from dual
UNION
select person_seq, first_name||' '||last_name inspector from vw_eng_inspectors
order by 2 asc
In my Data Model query I use the :
My select
from tables
where clause
+
----by inspector
and (prod_fac_inspections.person_seq_inspector =
nvl(:inspector,prod_fac_inspections.person_seq_inspector))
---by district
and
(d.dnr_section_code = nvl(:district,d.dnr_section_code)
and d.person_seq = prod_fac_inspections.person_seq_inspector)
Again, it works perfect in Reports! It eliminates having 3 reports on the menu. This one report gives the user the option of selecting dynamic parameters.
Also, I got so frustrated, that I went a different route of using a default where.
I am stuck with the error of ORA:00933 SQL command not ended properly
1=1
I set the initial value to 1=1 and it does not like it.
I am stuck!

I'm not sure I understand the probelm.
A progress bar control only displays numeric values. When do you mean by "unassigned values"? What would you expect to be presented?

Spreadsheet component - bottom grid line not displaying in swf file
Hi,
I'm having an issue with the spreadsheet component. I'm using the "Ignore blank cells in Values" option on the behavior tab. This works fine. The problem I'm having is the bottom grid line in the spreadsheet table is not displaying in the swf file. The bottom grid line displays correctly in Preview mode....but is not displaying in the swf file. Anyone have any ideas on why?
ThanksI'm not sure if I've interpreted your response correctly. Our entire dashboard app is built on the swf files being called from the URL buttons. We are not using HTML files. Are you saying that if I do a file export to HTML that the swf file generated from this will display the bottom grid lines?
I noticed that the spreadsheet component grid lines display correctly in the swf when not checking the ignore blank cells option in the behavior tab.
So what would be our options here.....either uncheck the display grid lines for the spreadsheet component to not display the grid lines at all, or do not use the ignore blank cells option in the behavior tab to display a fixed number of rows each time?
Thanks for the response, Matt. -
