Coordinates -where I find it in iPhoto 11??

Where can I find the GPS coordinates and altitud datas in iPhoto 11 ? In iPhoto 09 this information was available in informations. I can't believe they removed that.

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. While viewing the files as thumbnails type Command+i to slide out the Info panel on the right. The Info window has been reconfigured (don't shoot the messenger) and is not nearly as convenient to use:

However, the GPS data seems to be viewable only as a pin on a map and not as actual coordinates. At least in the test photo I used in the screenshot. if you get different let us know.

Iphoto is a different paradigm than you're used to. I don't understand why you are trying to transfer your edited photos back to an external disk.

Telling iMovie where to find iPhoto library

Is there a way to tell iMovie where to find my iPhoto library or Aperture library?
In my event library, iMovie keeps trying to find my iPhoto and Aperture videos, but never finds them.

You set which library you use in iPhoto or Aperture.
iMovie gets the library info from the iApps preference file. You might be able to reset it by trashing the iApps preference file and then opening Aperture in the desired library. Then open iMovie.

Downloaded from where? E-mail? The internet? A digital camera?
Pictures from your digital camera are most likely in iPhoto.
Pictures from the internet will be wherever you set them to be saved. If you are unsure, let us know what browser you are using and I can tell you the default download location. Are you using Safari? Firefox? Something else?

If you want to view your photos from a computer, you should do so via iPhoto, Aperture or the photo folder assigned to photo stream.

For information about the Other category in the Storage display, see this support article. If the Storage display seems to be inaccurate, try rebuilding the Spotlight index.
Empty the Trash if you haven't already done so. If you use iPhoto, empty its internal Trash first:
iPhoto ▹ Empty Trash
Do the same in other applications, such as Aperture, that have an internal Trash feature. Then restart the computer. That will temporarily free up some space.
According to Apple documentation, you need at least 9 GB of available space on the startup volume (as shown in the Finder Info window) for normal operation—not the mythical 10%, 15%, or any other percentage. You also need enough space left over to allow for growth of the data. There is little or no performance advantage to having more available space than the minimum Apple recommends. Available storage space that you'll never use is wasted space.
When Time Machine backs up a portable Mac, some of the free space will be used to make local snapshots, which are backup copies of recently deleted files. The space occupied by local snapshots is reported as available by the Finder, and should be considered as such. In the Storage display of System Information, local snapshots are shown as Backups. The snapshots are automatically deleted when they expire or when free space falls below a certain level. You ordinarily don't need to, and should not, delete local snapshots yourself. If you followed bad advice to disable local snapshots by running a shell command, you may have ended up with a lot of data in the Other category. Ask for instructions in that case.
See this support article for some simple ways to free up storage space.
You can more effectively use a tool such as OmniDiskSweeper (ODS) or GrandPerspective (GP) to explore the volume and find out what's taking up the space. You can also delete files with it, but don't do that unless you're sure that you know what you're deleting and that all data is safely backed up. That means you have multiple backups, not just one. Note that ODS only works with OS X 10.8 or later. If you're running an older OS version, use GP.
Deleting files inside a photo or iTunes library will corrupt the library. Changes to such a library must be made from within the application that created it. The same goes for Mail files.
Proceed further only if the problem isn't solved by the above steps.
ODS or GP can't see the whole filesystem when you run it just by double-clicking; it only sees files that you have permission to read. To see everything, you have to run it as root.
Back up all data now.
If you have more than one user account, make sure you're logged in as an administrator. The administrator account is the one that was created automatically when you first set up the computer.
Install the app you downloaded in the Applications folder as usual. Quit it if it's running.
Triple-click anywhere in the corresponding line of text below on this page to select it, then copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:

Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator. Ignore any other messages that appear in the Terminal window.
The application window will open, eventually showing all files in all folders, sorted by size. It may take a few minutes for the app to finish scanning.
I don't recommend that you make a habit of doing this. Don't delete anything as root. If something needs to be deleted, make sure you know what it is and how it got there, and then delete it by other, safer, means. When in doubt, leave it alone or ask for guidance.
When you're done with the app, quit it and also quit Terminal.

Where do I look for iPhoto libraries now that I am using iPhoto 08?

I have been using '08 and want to back up all my photos onto disks, but can only find libraries with old dates, nothing recent. Where does this version of iPhoto hide them?

Back up the iPhoto library as an unit; by default, it's located in the Pictures item of the Finder's sidebar.

Os x 10.8 mail 6.2, changed pop account and deleted old one, now all mail has dissappeared. Where is it and can mail be told where to find it?

I had trouble with my pop server as they had changed settings. I could not send mail using mail 6.2. When I deleted old pop account in mail preferences and set up new pop account I lost all old mail incoming, sent and trash....I know its in library/mail/v2 but I cannot work out how to tell mail 6.2 where to find it. On my HD it does not say ,restore, in yourname -pict. Iphoto lib.,
On the time machine, it , yourname etc, oes not show up at all.
Only right side of TM, your name etc. does not show.

You need a DATA service enabled by your carrier to be able to send e-mail via thier network. Do you have a data plan with your carrier ? If so - is it enabled ?
Can you access internet thru your network (not wifi) ?

Do you wish that at all customer site all concern involved in implemtation do the same work ?
I believe ERP is meant for single entry system, and it should be true for implementation also, why to invest man hours for the same task ?
I expect it standard reports should be released by SAP, so that speed of implementation improve, we have more nos. of satisfied customers.
customised reports is all together different and it is understood that it is needed to be developed after study the exact requirement.

Sounds like you do have an Exchange account setup on your phone. Have a Gmail or Hotmail account? They can both be setup as Exchange accounts. Have a work email account?

I have 2 iphoto libraries but one is lost, missing, cannot seem to find it... tried an apple care person - they were no help - we use Time Machine for external backup... but cannot find my older iPhoto library! I desperately need some help!

last night I was trying to find any additional Iphoto libraries on my Imac... I could not find them... but then somehow the May-Oct 2013 library showed up and now I cannot find the "current" primary Iphoto library. I sought help from apple care today but no solutoin from them after 2 hours trying. I have timemachine that backs up my Imac each day to an external hard drive. When I open Iphoto while holding down the "option" key - it lets me choose which Iphoto library... but only (1) library comes up... I can't figure out what happened - but it seems that I must have more than one Iphoto library because yesterday I was able to see all my photos except the "gap in dates" from May-Oct 2013. Today - I can only open a Library called Iphoto2014... and it contains the photos from the gap in dates. I can't "see" any other options to open photos... but just yesterday there appeared to be a different library available.
Any advice or steps i should take to locate my missing photos - would be soooooo much appreciated.

Re-installed itunes; now how do I tell the program where to find music on my external?

I just uninstalled and reinstalled itunes. I keep my files on an external hard drive--but in 2 different folders on the same hard drive. Problems: 1. Itunes does not know where to find the files. I get a little exclamation point next to all the songs. 2. Only songs from one of the two locations show up at all.
Less important, though still of interest to me: Only some of my playlists are showing up as well. I think I had two different itunes library .xml files before. And it is looking at the older of the two. Is that possible?

It's in your Keychain on the computer you usually use to connect to your network - the "kind" will be "AirPort Network Password".
Your Keychain can be opened by using the Keychain Access program. It is in your Utilities Folder.
Open Keychain Access, and type airport in the search field. You will see a number of entries. Choose the one with the name of your wireless network, open it, and check the box next to "show password". Before it reveals itself you will be asked for your login password - the one you use to log in to your MacBook.
The network password will appear in the box.
Quit Keychain Access.
