I have an issue with the COPA datasource,
1. I have created a COPA datasource in DEV and its working fine in DEV. the entire extraction is working fine.
2. Then I transported this copa datasource to QA where I am getting belor error.
In Extract checker, when checking for the data, i am getting the error
"Errors occurred during the extraction"
Application Log:
@5C\QError@ Syntax error in generated program @35\QLong text exists@
Syntax error in generated program
Message no. RD117
Diagnosis
A syntax error has occurred in the generated program for the CO-PA extractor:
MSGV1: "RSFHGEN2"
MSGV2: "No component exists with the name "HILFS". ."
MSGV3: " 18"
MSGV4: ""

Thanks for your answer, I have gone through this note and i know that there are inconsistencies b/w the extract structure and operating concern.
But I would like to know is,
1. why its working in DEV?
2. How to fix this error in QA?
3. Do I need to recreate the datasource and Operating concern with/without the fields which are giving the problem.

Dear Experts,
I have created a COPA datasource using Transaction code KEB0 .In Operating Concern i gave company code value and i have chosen Account Based radio button and i have created a datasource name like "1_CO_PA_TEST"
i had given the datasource in RSA3.this datasource has a mandatory inputs of Controlling Area & Period/year .i had given the two inputs and tried executing the datasource.i got the error message "Errors occurred during the extraction" "Message no. RJ012"...
Can anyone solve my problem??????????

Hi,
Can you check whether the Update mode in RSA3 is Full or Delta. If its delta, you would have to give the value of your BI system in Target system field. If you dont give this value, it would give the error that you received.

When i check the extractor in RSA3 for an Account based COPA I am getting this error:
Errors occurred during the extraction
(We are implementing both Cost Based and Account Based PA from the same operating concern)
What can I do to fix this error?

so i think OSS note 1069507 come closest to my problem.
In that note a prerequisite is " YOU HAVE APPLIED AN AGGREGATION TO THE EXTRACTION PROCESS"
what does that mean and how do i do that?

Hi Folks,
I've transported Some of the HR data sources to the quality server,But when i check the data for 0HR_PT_2 DS in RSA3,I'm getting the message Errors occured during the Extraction.I checked for the details but nothing was there except Message No.RJ012.
And the same thing was happening for 0JOB_ATTR. In the developement Server 0HR_PT_2 is fine showing 0 records,but the second had the same problem.

Look at following points
1. ST22 dump
2. Check whether underline table have any data or not
3. Check the SP level whether it supports these DS
4. cHECK WHether Errors occurred during the extraction, Message nos. RJ012 & R3009 debugging the datasource and see what is exact error.
5. Extraction problem : RSA3 and in BW

Hi Kevin,
Generally the installed DS also comes under RSA5 nodes, not only in RSA6.
Have you activated it earlier before extraction?
If DS is already active, please try to follow all the steps once more, and check, and let us know if still the same error comes.

Errors occurred during the extraction(Generic Extraction)

I am facing problems in solving BW Production issues .
The following are the Problem details.
Actually there are two Datasources connected to BW System One is from R/3 and other is from CRM.
The problem is with Delta Request which has been failed in ODS while uploading Data from R/3 in Background Scheduling but other DataSource is loading perfectly into BW System.
Its a generic extraction created based on View.
When i checked BW Side the error is displaying as follows:                                                                                Error occurred in the Data Selection.
     Error occurred in the Source System.
        No Data has been extracted from R/3 into BW.
But when i checked R/3 (Source system)
Firslty i executed RSA7 for checking Delta Records. The records are 0 for the Datasource.
I executed RSA3 with Full UpdateMode, the number of records extracted were displayed
when i checked with Delta Update Mode its giving the following error.
Errors occurred during the extraction
Message no. RJ 012
Diagnosis
There was an error during the extraction phase of the extractor. An exception 'error_passed_to_mess_handler' has been triggered.
Procedure
Check the function module and the call from the extractor check program
Messages from source system

These messages are sent by IDoc from the source system. Both the extractor itself as well as the service API can send messages. When errors occur, several messages are usually sent together.
From the source system, there are several types of messages that can be differentiated by the so-called Info-IDoc-Status. The IDoc with status 2 plays a particular role here; it describes the number of records that have been extracted in a source system and sent to BW. The number of the records received in BW is checked against this information.

Hi,
If Idoc are already sent to BW then goto Monitor in BW and in Details tab note the Idoc no in OLTP, and goto R?3 and BD20 tcode and give the Idoc no and execute it.And see the records are came or not in BW.

Hello Experts
I am working on CRM Datasource 0CRM_SRV_PROCESS_H, when I tried to run the infopackage for Init I am getting short durmp, for "MESSAGE_TYPE_X" " "SAPLRSATREE" or "LRSATREEF28" "RSATREE_START_ACTIVATION" and says Source Sytem Error in the Log. To cross verify I tried RSA3 Extract checker, I found error "Errors occurred during the extraction. This is happening in Production System, whereas same is working in Dev perfectly.
Basically, I am using a BI intance within Solution Manager System. Need your help urgently.

Can you check the whether the source system connection is active by going RSA1>Source system Tab>Right click on the CRM source system-->Check if the connective is acyive?
check whether already init has been done or what.If you have transported the infopackage also.please go into the infopackage cheduling screen in the scheduler tab check intialisation to the soirce system.whether there is any request.if it is there try to do delete the request or if u cant under stand this in the info package scheduling screen in the updae checkare you able to see delta option

We had created a Generic datasource based on Infoset. While executing RSA3 for that datasource, 'Errors occurred during the extraction' message is getting displayed.
In the Error log, it says, "Field catalog does not agree with the fields of the functional area".
Please let us know on how to resolve this error asap.

just go to RSO2.
Enter the name of your datsource.
then Click on Delete.
Then Again Recreate your data source with correct structure and definition.
then activate it and replicate it in BW.

I am getting an error when i run rsa3 for particular DataSource ZZBW_EKBE. "Errors occurred during the extraction".
Delta is not enabled for this DataSource .
But when i trigger the InfoPackage i can get the data.
What will be cause of this error.

Even i have a similar issue, when i check in RSA3 with update mode D, it shows 0 records but actually when i extract it with F mode there are new records....what i mean is I had 3000 records 2 days back but now i have 10000 records in F mode but which is not reflected in D mode!!!
So in BI side my deltas are not picking any records...any clue...

I'm trying to check the standard datasource - 0CRM_QUOTATION_I (CRM Quotation Item) in RSA3 (extractor checker) in the CRM system but it returns a pop-up 'Errors occurred during the extraction'.
Could someone please let me know where and how to check the error as it is not very obvious from the pop-up?

Sometimes the BWA5 Adaptor settings are not properly transported to QA from DEV ,
Try this ,
Create a transport request manually from DEV again for the below object in TCODE : SE03 ( Objects in Requests --> Include Objects in a Transport Request --> Under selection by type and name --> choose radio button --> Selected Objects and provide the below entries )
R3TR SMO4 0CRM_QUOTATION_I
( you will have to enter SM04 and datasource name only ,press enter it will pick up R3TR automatically ) and then transport to QA
This should resolve the issue

0FI_GL_10 can't delta :Errors occurred during the extraction.

0FI_AA_11(FI-AA: Transactions),
0FI_AA_12(FI-AA: Posted Depreciations) and 0FI_GL_10(General Ledger: Leading Ledger Balances).
The initialize and full extraction is ok.
when i delta it in rsa3,the system tell me:Errors occurred during the extraction.
Is Append Structure result in this error?

Activating 0FI_AP_50 - RSA3 "Errors occurred during the extraction" Message no. RJ012

I am trying to activate Data Source 0FI_AP_50, however, I noticed on the BW side when I tried to pull in data nothing would come back. I stated tracing backwards and looked at Extraction via RSA3 in source system. At that time I received the error: "Errors occurred during the extraction" Message no. RJ012. The data source is active and data is available in the corresponding tables.
Any suggestions?

Unfortunately I do not have SAP_ALL in my system for me. But as far as I remember you should follow below path:
Goto Tcode SFW5:
Expand second node - scroll down and choose ENTERPRISE_BUSINESS_FUNCTIONS - FIN_REP_SIMPL_1 - Reporting Financials - check it and Activate changes
Then you might have to relogin again.
One more important thing: try this in Development System only first. Also really important to contact your FI team for impact analysis.
As far as I know these business functions are not possible to revert back

I am working in treasury management. I have activated the data source 0CFM_INIT_POSITIONS in rsa5 and while loading data I am getting error: Errors in source system
If I checked same data source in rsa3 in ECC, I got the following error

Delta upload is only possible after successful initialization

Diagnosis
You tried to extract records using a delta request in the target BI. However, it is not possible to transfer a consistent delta for this DataSource.
System Response
One of the following takes place:
1. You have not yet triggered the delta update with an init request.
2. The delta update was initialized but a request was deleted that was already transferred into the target BI.
3. The delta update was initialized but a request was deleted that was not yet transferred into the target BI.
In each case the consistency of the data transferred into the target BI is not guaranteed.
Procedure
Restructure the delta update by deleting the delta request that already exists in the target BI and then submitting an init request to InfoCube 0CFM_O01 of the source BI.
