COPCA - distribute cost estimate via ALE

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone has experience distributing cost estimate data via ALE, using COPCA IDOC?!
What are the neccessary set up and consderation?
Thanks,
Alice

Hi
Thanks for your note.
Please advise me on the financial statement version, as well.
The reason for investigating this is to find out standard way to distribute/extract FSV out of SAP for both nodes of FSV and assignment of the GL accounts to the nodes.
If you could give me some hint, i would be more grateful.
Kind regards

  • Can't delete the cost estimate via CKR1

    Hi,
We have one material. We can't delete the cost estimate via CKR1. It is only warning. It is no error log. The other material cost estimate can delete normally. I check the material master I can't find the issue. The following is the warning message. Could you pls help check it? Whate factor will effect the cost estimate deletion? Thanks.
    ==========================
Deleting current standard cost estimates can cause inconsistencies
    Message no. CK 669
    Diagnosis
u2022 If you delete a current standard cost estimate, the fields for
the cost estimate are set to zero in the material master record. If you
use the material ledger, the standard prices in the material ledger
master data are also deleted when you delete the current standard cost
estimate. The material master record for the material thus does no
longer contains a current standard price from a standard cost estimate.
u2022 If you delete an active standard cost estimate, you can no
longer determine scrap, work in process and variations for previous
    periods.
u2022 In certain countires, it is a legal requirement to maintain
records of standard pricing. Therefore, you should check whether you
are obliged by law to keep records of your standard cost estimates.
Please also contact the relevant accounting and inventory management
    departments.

    Hi,
The deletion of Current standard cost estimate should be followed with some rules of the IFRS.
If you want to change the standard cost you can do the change,If you want to delete the standard cost of material then it will set the price of material to zero.If the material ledger also activate then it will make the Moving average price & standard cost of the material to zero.
So follow the Law of the country & Discus with Audit team &then delete the curent standard cost estimate of the material.

  • How to Distribute PO's via ALE

    My question is regarding ALE.
How to distribute Purchase Orders via ALE without maintaining output control in individual PO
or is there any transaction to maintain output control in Bulk..?
    Thanks for Your help...
    Regards,
    Govardhan Reddy

    Hi,
PO data comes in Transacational data, for this type of information...we can use Message control for generating IDOCs.
    Step 1.
Goto NACE - select Application Area "EF"- dbl click the output type button & select the output type of your requirement here and click on processing routines in left side pane.
you will be taken to next screen...
    select
    Medium : ALE
    Program: RSNASTED
Form routine: ALE_PROCESSING & Save it
    Step 2:
    goto partner profiles T.code: we20
    select the partner type ...LS
identify your partner... go to outbound parameters ...give new entry message type ORDERS & fill the general tab. in Message control tab.
    application area: EF
message type: output type you selected in NACE transaction
    and
    processing routine: ME10
by the above configuration, it will generate PO IDOC for you.

  • Digits Of Significance/Rounding Issue-Cost Estimate With Quantity Structure

I have an Excel based BOM which includes Material (Yield) Qty, plus a scrap factor. This adjusted yield is then multiplied by the Unit Price to get the Extended Amount. An example from my file is:
Material 10-0766 = yield of 1.824 sq ft less 4% scrap 0.07 sq ft = adjusted yield 1.897 sq ft * 1.836 USD/sq ft = Ext. Amt of 3.483 USD.
In SAP, I created a BOM via CS01 with this material as a line item, 1.824 as the qty, UOM is FT2 (sq ft) and I added a Assembly Scrap of 4% with the Net ID indicator checked. When I create a cost estimate via CK11N (in our SAP AFS 6.0 sandbox), the itemization for this material reads: qty of 1.897, total cost of 3.48 USD.
The math all works, but the resultant USD amount in SAP is short by .003 USD. I realize that USD currency is configured to only 2 decimal places, and that is fine. But, I thought that the calculations that costing was doing was retaining all the digits of significance past the 2 decimal places being shown, rather than rounding off to 2 decimal places. There are 24 materials in this BOM, and the total delta between my Excel sheet total (17.647 USD) and my SAP estimate (17.63 USD) is 0.017 USD. If I look at each item, the cumulative difference is due to each line rounding off to 2 decimal places.
The units of measure (via tcode CUNI) are all configured to show display 3 decimal places (field DECAN) and round to 5 decimal places (field ANDEC).
Does anyone have any information/suggestions around the precision in my SAP cost estimate? Am I stuck with these differences, or is there something I can do differently to prevent them? I know I can increase digits of significance in Activity Price Calculation, but I can't find anything similar in Product Cost Planning. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi
To achieve you have to run the costing run twice once normally.
Secondly you create an alternate BOM 2 by having the same alternate BOM 1 and remove the 2 materials which you dont want.
Execute the costing run, provide the details required in the Costing data screen, press enter, go to the Qty structure screen give the details of the Alternate BOM 2 in the BOM details and execute the costing run.
Save the cost estimate, which would be have been costed without the values of two materials as you wanted by using the alternate BOM 2.
Then use CK24, select the option "other prices" to release the cost estimate for the commercial price only by selecting the indicator of commercial price 3 only.

  • CK24 Cost Estimate Release Log wrong message variables returned.

We are testing our upgrade to ECC 6.04 from 4.7.   I've created a cost estimate via CK11N.  I then use CK24 to mark and release the cost estimate.  At the completion of the release, a log is returned with the correct price change document and the correct number of materials and cost estimates updated.  I then select the green arrow to go back a screen.  It then shows an ALV grid with the new cost estimate std cost, price unit, and price change document.  If I select the log icon from this screen, it shows me a price change document that is several months old and the associated number of materials and cost estimates updated.  If I go back to CK24 screen and select log, it also will return this several month old document.  Has anyone else experienced this inconsistancy and know how to resolve?

Seems like a system issue where the document though generated as not been updated. Looks like upgradation related issue.

  • Linking Cost Centre to Hierarchy via ALE

When sending new Cost Centres from our FMS Server to HR/Payroll Server via ALE & IDOCS, the Cost Centres are created, but there is no link to the Hierarchy. (ie) when going into transaction OKEN, they do not appear under the relevant group. However in KS03, the new Cost Centre is displayed with its Cost Centre group.
Is there a Function Module which can be run to rectify this, or can ALE be configured to do it.

    Hi Beena,
You can structure your cost centers into groups like
    - OverHeads
      *SalesMarkeing
      *R&D
      *Admin
      *HR
      *Service
      *MGMT Office
    - Manufacturing Depts

  • Distribute moving average or standard price via ALE/IDoc

    Dear experts,
do you see any way to distribute the moving average price via ALE? It is inside the material master IDoc but it won't update in the receiving system.
We need it for a decentral WM so that people can see the valuation of the material when they do inventory counting (to judge differences in LX22).
Any idea how to unlock the material master for update?
    Gunter

    Dear Amit,
yes - I understand how the system calculates the MAP. However, the receiving system is a SAP WMS - In WM there is no inventory management nor FI/CO. The valuation would always be zero. So I'm interested how can I update it via ALE?
It works for the first time if I have no valuation (accounting) view in the material and I send an IDoc with the view definition segment and a value for VERPR. But updating isn't possible.

can any one help me to how we can resolve this issue
    Please find attached document

    Hi,
Here I am providing the necessity and importance of splitting structure, will share the configuration steps once you go through the following and get the comfort level.
Expense Analysis and Splitting in Manufacturing Cost Centers
Introduction In SAP Cost center work as a cost responsibility center, where all the expenses and cost are stored and analyzed for the purpose of management decision making.
The cost could be fixed or variable in nature. The difference between variable and fixed costs can be made in various ways in product costing in CO module.
Fixed costs represent the static costs incurred by the organization, which doesn’t change on the basis on manufacturing activities, which remain constant irrespective of production activities like rent for the premises, salaries of office staff etc.
On the other hand, variable cost varies based on the level of production activities; if production activities increase then variable cost also increased like electricity consumes raw material charges etc.
However all the variable cost doesn’t vary in direct proportion by quantity of goods produced.
In this document will try to define; how the Expenses analysis and splitting of cost done in manufacturing cost centers.
From controlling prospective, fixed cost remain constant regardless of operating activities, but if these factor changes, variable cost will fluctuate.
Basically raw material costs represent variable cost, but in this document main focused will be given to distinguish fixed and variable activity cost.
The segregation between fixed and variable cost is optional and is derived from the configuration and master data configured in cost center accounting and overhead accounting.
    Activity Price:
There are different methods that could be used in cost center accounting to determine the activity price. The simple way is the manually enter “Fixed” and “Variable” Activity cost (KP26).
However there are other methods used in Cost center Planning and Budgeting that automatically calculate the fixed and variable activity price.
Here the focused will be given on Planning and Budgeting activity and automatic calculation of plan activity rate in cost center.
This method aggregate planned costs by cost element and capacity by plan unit to calculate the activity price.
Activity independent costs are segregated among different activities based on Splitting Structure, while activity dependent cost directly used for the purpose of variable activity rate calculation.
    Fixed Activity Cost:
In product costing all those cost, which doesn’t vary based on the activities in manufacturing cost will represent fixed cost.
In a manufacturing cost centers there may be two or more activities performed.
To calculate the activities rate, the fixed costs are distributed to various activities on the basis of Splitting Structure defined for cost center.
    Variable Activity Cost:
Variable activity cost, which directly depend upon the activity type and fluctuate based on increase or decrease in manufacturing activities. In SAP variable activity cost are directly linked to the respective activity.
Activity Prices: Fixed and Variable Split
In Cost Center Accounting dividing the cost between Fixed and Variable requires appropriate split to be made in the cost entered for the activity. The process is described below:
    i.  Variable cost would be planned at activity level and expenses should be maintained at cost element in the manufacturing cost center by assigning activity and cost element combination.
In other word, the expenses should be planned on Activity type at the time of primary cost planning (KP06).
Then the variable activity rates are calculated on Total cost planned at Activity divided by Total number of activity planned at that cost center (i.e. capacity in KP26)
ii. Fixed cost would be planned at independent of activity type. These costs are maintained in KP06 at cost element level on manufacturing cost center.
Then the fixed costs are distributed on various activity types on the basis of Splitting structure defined at OKEW.
In Splitting Structure we define the rules, how the fixed cost will be distributed to Activities. For the purpose of this document, considering split of fixed cost on the basis of Capacity maintained in KP26.

  • Sales order cost estimate

    hi,
While saving the sales order cost estimate its getting the GL account from GBB-ZG0.
as we assigned Balance sheet account its asking the cost element.
can you please explain what is link to get the gl from GBB-ZGO, can we change this to pick from GBB-VBR.
    Thanks,
    Sudha

    Hi,
Are you are working with unvaluated special stock ?  In this case, the system is looking for a consumption account via the account assignment category. For example if you are using requirement class ZPJ which uses account assignment category Q. In account assignment Q, you entered account modification VBR. Therefore, the system is looking for an account via the keys GBB / VBR.

Thanks for the quick response. I did maintain Purchasing info record using ME12. We do see pricing information at the time Production order backflsh. Hi,
As note 351835 explains, calculation needs an inforecord to calculate prices from purchasing. Prices from outline agreements are generally not taken into account. According to note 499699, the system may consider entries in the source but it will ignore entered agreements (before this correction, any source list entries with agreement were ignored).
Prices from agreements could only be considered either via a modification or by using the user exit for material valuation (COPCP005).
This unfortuntely is a restriction resulting as a side-effect from note 499699. As soon as an agreement is entered in the source list, the fixed indicator will not be considered anymore.
You therefore have two options to overcome this.
    1) You create a second source list entry without an agreement; then the fix indicator will be reflected; report Z_CREATE_EORD from note  409960 could be used to do this automatically
    2) You are using user-exit EXIT_SAPLMEQR_001 in order to 'overrule'   the standard search for source of supply (enhancement LMEQR001)

  • Raw Material Cost Estimate - No split between cost component

    Dears,
I need to execute a material cost estimate considering the Purchasing Info Record (PIR) where 3 different conditions are present:
    1) PB00
    2) FRB1
    3) RUC1
    The scope is:
    - linking PB00 to cost component 1
    - linking FRB1 to cost component 2
    - linking RUC1 to cost component 3
    Cost components are already created.
    I did following steps:
    - creation PIR with these 3 conditions (transaction ME11)
    PB00  10,00 EUR @ 1 KG
    FRB1   2,00 EUR @ 1 KG
    RUC1   3,00 EUR @ 1 KG
    - link condition types to origin groups (transaction OKYO)
    FRB1 linked to FRB1
    RUC1 linked to RUC1
    - link origin groups to cost component (transaction OKTZ)
PB00, is linked to cost component 1 without origin group, but using only account coming from T030 table
FRB1 is linked to cost component 2 using origin group FRB1 and the same acocunt used for condition PB00 coming from T030 table
RUC1 is linked to cost component 3 using origin group RUC1 and the same acocunt used for condition PB00 coming from T030 table
At this moment, when I try to execute the cost estimate with transaction CK11N, the split is not done, and all condition types (all amounts) are linked to cost component 1. The set-up done in OKYO is not considered by the system.
In the material master there's any origin group, if I try to fill in origin group FRB1 all condition types (all amounts) are linked to component 2, and if I try to change the origin group in the material master from FRB1 to RUC1, all condition types (all amounts) are linked to component 3 --> this means that the set-up done OKTZ is correctly considered by the system to link the origin group to the cost components.
The problem is that the system reads the origin group from the material master, instead of transaction OKYO.
How can I solve this problem?
    Thanks and Regards,
    Jody

Pl verify following two things -
    Check valuation variant.
Strategy sequence should have 'L - Price from purchasing info-record' and Sub-strategy should be 'A Quotation price via condition table' or 'B PO price via condition table'.
OKYO setting should have valuation variant associated with your costing variant, along with other details (dont leave that field blank).
Let us know if that works.
    Regards,
    Subodh

  • Report showing labor and machine time based on standard cost estimate

    Hi Friends,
Ours is an Manufacturing organisation & we have a requirement of report showing machine and labor time as per part wise & cost center wise. We need to run the report before saving standard cost estimate [CK11N]  in order to see the part wise or cost center wise discrepancies in machine and labor time. If any one could help in creating such report in SAP  it will be of great help.
    Regards,
    Varsha

    Hi Varsha,
you can jump from CK11N to a own report by
Menu Function 'Costs -> User Exit Display'
         Cost Report 1 / 2 / 3
The own report can be implemented via (SMOD) enhancement SAPLXCKA
The report will be handed over the currently displayed in the program interface.
some example coding is provided for the exit.
    compare SAP Note No. 71146

  • Debugging customized function module when Idoc is triggered via ALE

    Hi,
Whenever we save the billing document, an outbound idoc is triggered via ALE. The logic for the data to be included in the idoc is written in a customized function module.
However we are making some changes and would like to include some more data in the idoc. But we find that when we put a breakpoint in the function module, on saving the billing document, the flow does not stop at the break point. We are 100% sure that the code in the function module gets executed based on the data in the idoc.
How do we get into debug mode and break the flow in the function module so that we can debug in the function module?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
