Copy-and-paste into Snow Leopard's Mail from Parallels 5.0 doesn't work

After upgrading Leopard to Snow Leopard, my Parallels 3.0 application no longer worked. Since I had an invitation to beta test Parallels 5.0, I took advantage of that opportunity.
Since then, there has been a problem "copy-and-pasting" from an Internet Explorer window into an Apple Mail document. Parallels has a new feature that copies text with formatting. What ends up getting pasted into Mail is the text plus about 6 inches of blank space below it. It seems like the text is married to a large graphic element.
Further hints: There's a black "X" in the circle at the upper left of it, and the text+blank_space block has its own vertical and horizontal scroll bars within the Mail document window.
If anyone can suggest a solution, I would be very grateful. If I can send a screen shot of what I'm describing.

OK, then since this isn't related to the OP's issue, I'd suggest you start a new topic in the Quicktime for Mac forum (use the "Post a new topic" link at the top of each main topic page). It's generally better to ask a question as a new topic rather than as a reply in someone else's thread. It's more courteous to the original poster, and is more likely to get your question the attention it deserves.

I am copying and pasting into a new, Pages document (from the word processing menu), and I paste in text that is longer than one page, it doesn't continue onto the next page. I can't see the end. How do I get it to show everything I paste in?

I want to copy an extensive amount of text from a web page into a Pages word processing document, but it seems to chop it up into text boxes, some of which aren't long enough to show all of the lines of text. I can't get hold of a bottom edge of the boxes to drag them to make them longer. I tried several times starting over with a new, blank page (and I made sure to choose from the Word Processing part of the dropdown menu, since I read about a similar problem that said not to use the layout menu. It keeps doing the same thing. What do I have to do to get long text pasted to multiple pages, instead of it trying to be all on one page?
In the long run, what I want is to create this as an ePub book. Is there a better way to go about this?

Copying from web pages can include some weird formatting. Instead of Paste, use Paste and Match Style (Edit Menu).

COPY AND PASTE INTO WIN7 DIALOG BOX

I am new to Win7 and Lenovo Technologies. I am not sure if this post belongs here or if my problem has to do with Lenovo password management, which I have not yet set up on my new ThinkPad W700.
I am unable to copy information from a text file and paste it into a Win 7 dialog box. I am in a process of loading software from my old machine into the new one. I have all relevant information on keys, etc., in text files within my installed software archive. Manual retyping is a pain! The copy and paste function works just fine outside of the dialogue boxes.
Can someone advise me what I need to do in order to allow the pasting of information into the dialogue boxes possible?

SUPPLEMENT TO MY PREVIOUS POST
The copy and paste into dialog boxes works just fine. I suspect that my earlier problem was due to not being familiar with the new computer's keyboard. I am used to the CTRL key being located at the bottom left of the keyboard. The new keyboard has the Fn key in that position. I must have pressed Fn instead of CTRL. The old habits die hard. I feel like for not noticing this earlier.

The form that you create via FormsCentral can be embedded in your Muse site (in Muse you can select Object/Insert HTML and then paste the embed code that you get via FormsCentral by clicking "Distribute" Tab / Embed button.)

This is a cross post, so sorry about that, but I had originally replied to a previous post,
before I realized it was probably the wrong forum
for my question.
Copying from a document to a dialog box field doesn't work anymore; How do I fix it?
We have the problem since upgrading to Tiger.
Our Mac users, during their workflow, paste a filename
from a document into the 'save as' field (when printing to a .ps file).
This no longer works. UNLESS they control click in the 'save as' field.
Then they can select 'paste' with the mouse. Why is this happening? and how can we fix it? (so they can just 'command C' then 'command V' as they used to).
We have repaired permissions, cleared user caches,
tossed finder prefs, logged in as another user,
all to no avail.

Thanks for your response.
I agree that something else is capturing the shortcut, as
all shortcuts are unavailable in the pulldown menus at that point where we used to be able to 'Command V' paste into the text field. We're not using Quick Keys, and the
Full keyboard access setings are default for OS 10.4.
I did experiement with turning of some of the modifier F key selections in the Keyboard system prefs but none made
any change for this issue. For now our work around will be to control click in the text field and select 'paste'.
Seems odd that the contextual menu is available for that field but a 'command V' or command control V doesn't work.
Not a huge deal, more of an irritant, but I'll keep on the hunt! Thanks again!

Are you not seeing the icon of the app you just downloaded (it happens sometimes, and the quick fix is to reset your iPad)? Or are you running out of space on your iPad?

Copy and Paste problem in Leopard

I am archiving thousands of pict files to dvd, in OS 9.2 I simply open the window select all files, then copy all the file names and paste into my dvd cover index in Pages. This has worked fine.
The problem is in Leopard it copys the actual files, not the names.
Can you help.

I am not overly familiar with what you are trying to do, but it sounds like you could just create and alias of each file and copy that to the DVD.
• Select file
• Right-click / Control-click
• Select 'Make Alias'
I encounter similar requirements for cataloging large numbers of files spread across multiple disks/CDs/DVDs and use CD Finder (http://www.cdfinder.de/), which has proven to be perfect for over 3 years now.

Can items from a list be copied and pasted into a new Pages Table?

In iWork Pages, I have a list of 50's & 60's recording artists and their songs, (which is about 40 pages long) from my '45 rpm record collection for my Jukebox.
Is there any way to copy and paste the artists' names, and their songs into a Pages Table, so that I can sort the artists' names into an alphabetical list?
If there is a way, it would save me a ton of work of typing each name into a Table one at a time.

Recently, I have had documents of lists that I had wanted to put into a Table afterwards, but there was no way that I could do it.... which brought me to my question to the Forum.....
I had made the artists' listing & songs of about 40 pages, about 7 years ago when I had a PC, and it was done in MS Word, and I haven't worked on it since then.
Being a veritable Newbie at the time, I had put the artists' name in one column, and the song title in another. When I had to insert a new artist and song, I would "Add Row Below" and then type the info in.
Little did I realize at the time that I had created a Table, without knowing it (I told you that I was a Newbie).
So when I started to work on those files this morning for the first time in a number of years, I wondered how could I put all the info from that Word document into a Table in Pages.
Then I could sort Ascending, instead of "Add Row Below" to squeeze the new name in when I wanted to add another artist.
Then I realized after posting the question on this Forum, that it ALREADY WAS in Table form.
I looked into the help section of Pages and found that I could sort the names in the Inspector Box in the Table Tab.
So, sorry to say I didn't discover a new technique of copying a list and then pasting the info into a new Table in one shot......

Hi Guys,
right now I'm trying to improve the performance of a Script I wrote by copying and pasting a PDF instead of loading it 10 times.
And here's the problem:
When pasting the copied PDF it doesn't paste it into the array the original PDF is in but this is exactly what I need for the further script.
Can I somehow paste the PDF into the Array and a specific position [i]?
I'm adding the important parts of the script.

I have found that if I copy text it is in my clipboard with firefox, but I must paste from the firefox edit menu - not command v -
Unfortunately, I can find no workaround for Safari.

I know there have been some posts like this in the paste, but could not find a reasonable explanation.

For an unsigned java applet (Swing) I could not copy from a notepad document into my applets JTextField and JTextArea fields.
JVM 1.5
For this same applet (Swing) running under 1.5, I could copy and paste from the notepad document into my applets JTextField and JTextArea fields.
Does anybody know why the difference?
Is there a way to copy and paste for applets running in the 1.4.2 jvm?

I think it must be some security restriction.
Set a policy for the applet or sign it:
Set a policy (windows):
C:\Program Files\Java\j2re****\lib\security\java.policy
under grant {
permission java.security.AllPermission;
this means that you give all permission to all code, if you only want to give permissions for applets
comming from google you can add the following:
grant codeBase "http://google.com/-" {
permission java.security.AllPermission;

I have a problem with the JTextArea component. When I try to copy and paste text (from like notepad or web browser) into the JTextArea it works fine. But on other computers it won't respond to the "ctrl-v" command. I'm having trouble on figuring this out. Any suggestions?

How can I select all objects in a layer and copy and paste the objects into a new document? We are having issues with the copy and paste method. Is this because it uses the operating systems clipboard?

Don't know how or where to create user.js file so I can add script to allow copy and paste into a webbased email

I am trying to compose an email from the email address on my web page. The email editor program (or Mozilla) doesn't allow me to do that. The instructions that Mozilla provided said to find the user.js file in Firefox's profile directory. I can't find such a file. I don't know where or how to create this file or how to write into it the lines that the instructions provided. I also don't know what url I am supposed to substitute for mozila.org that is in the lines of script.

Now, to to do what I need to do I have to add something to the user.js file as per directions regarding ''setting prefs for Mozilla Rich Text Editing Demo'' to allow a copy and paste. It instructs me to change the URL from mozila.org to where I want to enable the function. I am not sure what that means. I am trying to to do something in the "back office" of my web site. I want to send an email from the web site's email. I am trying to copy and paste a pdf file into the body of the email but was not able to do it. I was directed to the setting prefs page. Do I change the location to the URL of my web site or the web site of the web host?
