Copy and Paste Problems with Images

I'm having the strangest problems with images. I copy an image off of the web for one of my art history classes and I go to paste into another program but, whether it's Keynote, Powerpoint, Photoshop, or Graphic Converter, something always goes wrong: the images definitely lose some of their quality, become brighter in appearance, and get jagged on the edges. This is starting to drive me nuts, especially since it never happened in 10.4 on my iBook G4. Any suggestions?

Copy and paste problem with regions

I've noticed that occasionally, when I copy and paste a region within the same track, I sometimes paste twice (directly on top of the other region). Or at least that's the end result. When I realize this, I go to delete the region and then there's a region under that one.
Except, it's very long, sometimes the length of the song. This wouldn't be a problem except it's uneditable. I can't trim it, loop it, cut it etc.
Besides not pasting it twice in the first place, how can I keep this from occurring? Is it a bug? Why can't I edit the region? Thanx.

I should probably mention that this happens primarily with audio instrument tracks.

Any news to the copy and paste problem with osx 10.9 ms rdc client?

we have a new macmini with 10.9 and we work with microsoft remote desktop client 8.0.5,
since we use this combination, we can´t copy and paste text between both systems...

Yes, it is not supported in the current versions.
The workaround is to use folder redirection.
Folder redirection enables access local folders during the remote session. Click the + button at the bottom of the dialog and choose a folder you want to have redirected.
Configure Folder Redirection
1. Click the + button.
2. In the Add Local Folder window, enter the following information:
• Name: Set a name for the folder to be available during the remote session.
• Path: Select the path to the folder to be available during the remote session.
3. Click the exit button to save the remote desktop.

Copy and Paste problems with PS 7.0.1

I opened a 16 bit tiff file in PS 7.0.1 and the copy command is greyed out so I cannot copy it to my Powerpoint app in order to make a slide.

Hi All,
I saw the posts for Dreamweaver CS4 for copy and paste problems. I tried all the suggestions but to no avail. My copy and paste would not work. Then I found what worked for me...
I went to Edit --> Keyboard Shortcuts --> and I changed from "Dreamweaver Standard" to "Dreamweaver Mx2004". For the moment, it is working. I am on XP Professional.
From the other posts the suggestions were...
Switch to Classic Mode
Delete the Configuration file
Uncheck "Enable related files"

The problem has been solved by over writing the � font.properties � file in jre/lib/� .
The changes given as follows:

That is, we comment the lines having Red foreground color.

Hp prime Copy and pasting problems

Does any one know why the HP prime copy and paste function does not work properly. For example when I copy and past form the spreadsheet to the statistics 1 var app nothing happens. Perhaps there is a work around that will allow me to avoid this problem or another firmware that I can download.

Operating System: 4CY35605VB I don’t think I’m doing anything wrong, however I should point out that when I copy from statistic 1 or 2 Var apps and paste to the spreadsheet app that everything works fine. The problem persists when when I reverse the direction, and copy from the spreadsheet and paste to the statistics 1 or 2 Var apps. I should also note that this problem does not occur with the HP Prime emulator.

Copying and pasting problem?????

Hey, wondering if anyone can help.
I am having problems copying and pasting folders to a memory stick or an external, and get this error code up (error code -36).
This happens, whether the folder is a couple of KB or several GB. I am not sure what to do, any help is really appreciated.

No, sorry I am on 10.6.2. I have looked on the internet, typed in the error code and cant find anything.
I have gone onto the folder, right clicked and gone onto get info and set the sharing options to read & write for all settings.
At the moment the only way I can copy and paste is to write the folder on a new folder and copy the contents in side, providing there is no folders in side.

Copy and paste problems in iCal.

I am unable to copy and paste from my clipboard into either the title block or in the notes section of an event.

You can try this simple fix -
Quit DW.
Find this file -
C:\Documents and Settings\<username>\Application
Data\Macromedia\Dreamweaver
8\Configuration\WinFileCache-*.dat
(these folders are normally hidden - you may have to use
Explorer > Tools >
Folder Options to unhide them)
and delete it.
Restart DW. Works better?

Bridge copy and paste folders with the same name question

I just copied and pasted a folder named, as an example, "concerts" with a bunch of pictures to another drive with a folder with the same name.
I choosed "substitute" when prompted and all the pics existing in old "concerts" folder have been deleted and replaced with just the new ones.
So pasting a folder can't add files to the folder with the same name, but it completely replaces it. The other prompted option creates a "concerts (1)" new folder.
Luckyly before moving files I always do a backup, so it's not a big issue, but I'm amazed by such behaviour. Also deleted pictures don't appear in the recycle bin. They are completely lost!

Are you on Windows? don't know the options you tell, I have three options (Mac) called: 'cancel', 'replace' and 'auto resolve' when dealing with one file and for multiple files it adds 'skip' to the list and has the option for 'apply all'
Replace does what it says, it replaces files and folders with the same name, auto resolve adds a (1) to the files or other number if more with same name are added.
So pasting a folder can't add files to the folder with the same name, but it completely replaces it. The other prompted option creates a "concerts (1)" new folder.
This is normal and wished behavior, you get a warning if names are the same and a choice to either overwrite them or add them with a new (different) filename.

Heard that before but can't replicate this, they always appear in the trash on my Mac.

Hello, I am having an issue using the copy and paste options from a secure site into a word document. It is giving me the option to copy, but when I paste it into my word documunt, it gives me a black box in the place where it should have been pasted. Please help me with this issue. Thanks!!

Copy and paste problem in Netcape

I have a text field on a jsp page, sometimes(not all the time) when I copy and paste text into that field in Netscape it will add spaces in front of the text, it looks like it might be right justifying the text in the textbox. This happens only sometimes in Netscape and never in IE. Has anyone ever heard of this and if so does anyone know of a fix?

I guess one of your components (source or destination) is a textarea. It must be written like this:
<teaxtarea></textarea>
without any spaces like this:
<teaxtarea> </textarea>
and without line breaks like this:
<teaxtarea>
</textarea>

Copy and Paste problem in Leopard

I am archiving thousands of pict files to dvd, in OS 9.2 I simply open the window select all files, then copy all the file names and paste into my dvd cover index in Pages. This has worked fine.
The problem is in Leopard it copys the actual files, not the names.
Can you help.

I am not overly familiar with what you are trying to do, but it sounds like you could just create and alias of each file and copy that to the DVD.
• Select file
• Right-click / Control-click
• Select 'Make Alias'
I encounter similar requirements for cataloging large numbers of files spread across multiple disks/CDs/DVDs and use CD Finder (http://www.cdfinder.de/), which has proven to be perfect for over 3 years now.

Copy and paste problem

Yesterday something strange began happening. I copied all of the text in a document, opened a new page and pasted. However, the paste put what appears to be a text box on the new page. When I dragged the borders to the page size, I only had one page of a three page document copied. I've tried it with other documents with the same results. If I physically highlight the desired text and copy it, everything seems to be normal. Have I done something to affect the "copy all" command?

Pages has to types of documents. Word processing and Page Layout. I think you opened a blank PL document. It will always have text in boxes, and when the box is too small for the text you will get a plus sign at the bottom.
Open a WP document instead and paste the text. It will flow over to a new page if needed.

Cut and Paste problem with links in DW

Anyone have a clue as to why this is happening.....
when I cut and paste a complex link -- DW seems to add some characters.... see below....

It's not actually adding "amp".
DW is assisting you by encoding the "&" (which validators assume to be a broken HTML entity since they start with "&") and replacing it with the correct form of "&" so that browsers can understand the URL.
