Copy & Background color

Hello
How can I change the background color from black to another color?
Can one copy a word from the text? How?
With ADE I cannot copy. With Adobe Reader I can copy.
Thank you for your answers.

Reader and Digital Editions are not the same product.  Digital Editions has
its own set of functions, and is designed to handle different types of
files than Reader.  Do not expect to be able to do the same things with
both products.  Check Digital Editions Help (F1 key from the Library menu)
for more specific information - towards the bottom.

  • Cell/Background color changes when copying to other Excel 2010 document

    When you copy and paste report cells (e.g. CO report outputted in Office integration, MS Excel) to a new Excel file, the background color changed dramatically (to bright red).

    Anyone has similiar problems?  Appreciate any help.

    dear friend,
    you would do:
    1. search SAP Notes;
    2. check out the updates/patches for your MS Office;
    3. replicate it on another computer/another sap user (make sure it is a local issue)
    good luck!

    thank you in advance

  • Can I change the background color of a video thumbnail to view a silhouettes transparancy in Bridge

    I see this question asked a ton on here, and never EVER am I finding an answer.  I know in the past (Adobe CS 5) in Bridge you could view the transparency of a black silhouette image against a medium grey so you could see the content of the clip.  Adobe changed that with CS 5.5 & on, and never seems to want to answer question when we members ask.  PLEASE ADOBE ANSWER!!
    How can I view a black silhouette image in Bridge when Adobe had decided to make the transparency black instead of grey? (Ideally the transparency of a video file should show as a grid as it does in ALL OTHER Adobe products.
    PLEASE HELP.  We use bridge heavily in production to organize our assets, and this change not being addressed kills our asset searching time because we have to open each clip to view it, rather than being able to preview it, which is what the Bridge is for.
    Thanks.
    P.S.  Do not tell me how to change the programs background color as this is not the question.  The question is how do I change the color of the transparency display for video clips.

    Hi Peter
    The associated FCM file provides us a clue as to Captivate's
    pedigree. What we know today as Captivate is a product that was
    born into the world and dubbed "FlashCam". This file contains
    information about margins. So FCM means, FlashCam Margins.
    If all you are doing is adjusting the colors a bit, you may
    copy the associated files to new names. Then modify the colors as
    desired and all should be well.
    Cheers... Rick

    <p class="c3"><strong class="c2">Using Octenol to Attract Mosquitoes<br /></strong><br /></p>
    <p class="c3">Octenol is an natural chemical that occurs naturally as a by-product of plants and some animals that eat a lot of vegetable produce. If carbon dioxide is mixed with octenol, it has been found to be an attractant to several mosquito species. There are other insects such as no-see-ums and biting midges that are also attracted to this scent. It has been proven to be a very effective product, especially for no-see-ums.<br />
    <br />
    <img src="images/12137165-cartoon-stop-mosquito.jpg" width="168" height="168" alt="mosquito" /><br />
    <br />
    Octenol is also a pesticide ingredient that is used to attract mosquitoes and biting flies. It does not kill the insects; it only attracts them. It can be used in combination with other products and devices that do kill them once they are successfully attracted to the device. It is important to be aware that non-pest insects are also attracted and destroyed by some of the devices.<br />
    <br />
    If octenol is ingested, there is a possibility for toxicity. It is not, however, harmful in the air to humans, pets, or the environment. It is vitally important that it is kept safely away from children to avoid the possibility of ingesting. Placement of the attractant and device utilized to catch biting insects should be carefully considered. It should be kept safely away from children and pets.<br /></p>
    <p class="c3">To be most effective in mosquito control, the attractant should be placed between the breeding grounds of the mosquito and the area where the people are located. There are range limits that the attractant will reach and this needs to be considered in the placement of the trap as well.<br /></p>

  • Unable to change the background color of a webi report in the infoview

    Hi,
    Can someone please me help me with the below issue.
    Environment Details:
    BusinessObjects XI3.1 SP1SP2SP3
    BusinessObjects XIR2 SP5
    .Net infoview
    IE 7
    JRE versions used as;
    On BOXI3.1 SP3 Server -1.6.0_03
    On BOXIR2 SP5 Server -1.4.2_02
    On the client machine   -1.6.0_14
    Issue Description:
    -Open an existing webi report in the infoview.
    -In the report,I am not able to change the background and the font color for the column headings from the properties tab in the left navigation panel.
    -I can change the color after hitting the color tab for multiple times.Also the color was getting changed when the color code was manually changed.
    -The reports background color was getting changed,but not the font color.
    -I tried to create a test report,where I was able to change the color.
    I have;
    -Installed the Java update 14 on BOXI3.1 server machine,here I was  able to change the background and font color.
    -However on the client machine,with the same Java update 14,the background and the font color for the column headings was not getting changed.
    -Same behaviour is observed on BOE XIR2 SP5 machine.
    Is there any limitations for using Java update 14 or am I required to do any other settings.
    Regards,
    Pankaj

    Hi Pankaj,
    It is a strange behavior. You also stated that when you create a test report it works fine.
    Can you create a copy of this report and then try on the new copy?
    One thing you can do as a test to refresh the universe and then try it. And change some columns - add some column and then save and ten remove and save and make changes like this and trying changing color.
    I think there is a problem with this report this is why it is behaving like this on all machine.

  • Can I change the background color of a caption?

    I would like to tone down the background color of a caption,
    and was wondering if and how I could do this. I found the caption
    image in the gallery, but it has an accompanying .fcm file which am
    not familiar with. Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Peter

    Cheers... Rick

  • How to set background color in a scene?

    I'm new to JavaFX and just started my first FX program.  I created an FX project in NetBeans 7.3 and the project runs properly.   All of the samples in the JavaFX samples download run as well.  But when I try to do something as simple as setting the background color on my first scene to black, I can't get it to work.  I find examples and documentation that tell me that what I am doing should work but it does not.
            Scene scene = new Scene(root, 300, 250, Color.BLACK);
            scene.setFill(Color.BLACK);
            primaryStage.initStyle(StageStyle.UNDECORATED);
            primaryStage.setTitle("Hello World!");
            primaryStage.setScene(scene);
    The two bold lines are marked as errors.  Unfortunately, I can't find a way to copy the error popup text in the IDE so I'll summarize.  Both lines are giving errors that say that I gave a Color but a Paint was expected.
    Is there something I am missing? Can it be this hard to set a background color in JavaFX?
    Thanks.

    Hi. Check your imports. You probably have
    import java.awt.Color;
    instead of
    import javafx.scene.paint.Color;

  • How to set background color based on values in column grouping

    Hello,
    I have query
    select 1 as CustomerID,'Reality' as Type, 100 as Turnover
    UNION
    select 1 as CustomerID,'Budget' as Type, 120 as Turnover
    UNION
    select 2 as CustomerID,'Reality' as Type, 140 as Turnover
    UNION
    select 2 as CustomerID,'Budget' as Type, 120 as Turnover
    I have matrix, where in rows are customers, there is columngroup based on field Type and in details are summaries of Turnover. I need to change background color of Reality field, when lower than Budget. How can I do that please ?

    Hi volyn,
    After testing the issue in my own environment, we can use custom code to achieve your requirement. For more details, you can refer to the following steps:
    Copy the custom code below and paste it to your report. (Right-click report>Report Properties>Code)
    DIM PreviousValue AS Decimal
    Dim CustomerID AS String = ""
    Public Function  GetPreviousValue(byval Val as Decimal, byval CusID as string)  as Decimal
    DIM Local_PreviousValue AS Decimal
    IF CustomerID <> CusID THEN
    CustomerID  = CusID
    PreviousValue  = val
    Local_PreviousValue  = 0
    ELSE
    Local_PreviousValue =  val - PreviousValue
    PreviousValue  = val
    END IF
    return Local_PreviousValue
    End function
    Click the cell which contains [Sum(Turnover)] value, modify the expression of BackgroundColor property to like this in the Properties Window:
    =iif(Code.GetPreviousValue(Fields!Turnover.Value,Fields!CustomerID.Value)<0,"Brown","White")
    In this scenario, you can change Brown color to any color you like. The following screenshot is for your reference (I added some data to make it more clearly):
    If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask.

  • Change background color during text edit mode

    THis is a wacky problem...
    I have a presentation template. The slide master has white copy in the title and black copy in the body/bulleted list.
    When I try to use the template and edit the title copy, the background color for editing that line is white, just like the text, so I can't see what I'm typing. I can't figure out how to change the background color during text edit mode so that I can actually see what I'm typing. Is there a way to make this transparent?
    For some reason, the body copy edit works fine: black text edited in either a white or transparent background color.

  • JTextPane not keeping background color!

    Hi. I developed a text editor for a forum I'm developing. I have also integrated PHPspell into the project. To get PHPspell to interface with it, I use JavaScript to copy the HTML from the JTextPane into an I-Frame, which I then pass to PHPspell. Then, once the corrections to the document are made, it is passed back into the JTextPane control.
    This works properly, but when I use the getText() method of the JTextPane, I lose my background colors! They don't even show up in the HTML code from getText() (but they show up in the JTextPane.)
    Here is how I set the background color of the text:
            if ((defaultPane.getSelectionEnd() - defaultPane.getSelectionStart()) != 0)
                javax.swing.text.html.HTMLDocument tempDocument = (javax.swing.text.html.HTMLDocument) defaultPane.getDocument();
                javax.swing.text.SimpleAttributeSet style = new javax.swing.text.SimpleAttributeSet();
                javax.swing.text.StyleConstants.setBackground(style, color_chooser.getColor());
                tempDocument.setCharacterAttributes(
                    defaultPane.getSelectionStart(),
                    defaultPane.getSelectionEnd() - defaultPane.getSelectionStart(),
                    style,
                    false);
            defaultPane.requestFocus();Hope someone can help me.

    Whoops...just realized that I accidentally posted this message twice. Sorry about that. :(

  • Discovery: Border color trumps project background color, sort of

    I just made an interesting discovery.  My project background is set to #FFFFFF white (Edit > Preferences >  Defaults > Background color) and my borders are set to the "company" orange (FF7900, REALLY orange).  During normal viewing all is okay.  However, if there's a lag between a published project ending and another loading, I see this gigantic orange box.  Aha!  if I disable my borders, I only see white during a loading transition.  Apparently the borders are filling in the area during preloading?
    I'll submit a feature request.  --Leslie

    In the Layout menu for two photos per page try selecting one of the top two options. That seemed to give me pink borders every time I selected it.
    Do you Twango?
    TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
    I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.
