Copy in Hub (email password) cannot paste password I copied into a web page

None of any seemingly pertinent subjects had any answers to assist. I need to (as in 9810, copy anything, anywhere and paste anywhere. Ridiculous amt of time searching thru Forum and finding nothing similar to my need. Please, I can figure out how to paste (except in Documents) but strange I need a password link from email, copied and how can I log ito a website IF I cannot copy AND paste into site so I can login to that site.
Appreciate the new hub but not if I can't perform basics as in 9810. Deb

Highlight the text you want to copy. Depending on your OS version you should get a small menu that shows options for cut/copy/paste/ select, etc. If you don't, highlight the text, and hit the more key at the bottom and select Copy.
Then in the field you want to paste, touch and hold and you should get a pop up menu with a paste option. If you don't get the option, put the cursor in the field, hit the more button at the bottom, and then select paste.
That said, there are some fields where copy/paste doesn't work. If you're in an HTML email and the text is actually part of a picture you won't be able to copy it.

I downloaded the latest Adobe Reader when prompted. Since then I cannot use Safari File Print to print web pages - the printer dialogue window opens but the page is blank. Also, when I try to use the safari Help button,the dialogue box is blank.

Back up all data.
Quit Safari. In the Finder, select Go ▹ Go to Folder from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-G. Copy the line of text below into the box that opens, and press return:
/Library/Internet Plug-ins
From the folder that opens, remove any items that have the letters “PDF” in the name. You may be prompted for your login password. Then launch Safari and test.
If you still have the issue, repeat with this line:
~/Library/Internet Plug-ins
If you don’t like the results of this procedure, restore the items from the backup you made before you started. Relaunch Safari again.

Forgot to add that it would be an adjustment layer with some kind of mask on it already. The mask is uncentered when copy and pasted which throws it off.
I guess the same question would go towards doing the same for an object. How to copy and paste it over to a new doc, keeping its position within the document? is this possible?

Copying dynamically generated web pages source

There is a problem, that I need to copy dynamicaly generated web pages text (it must work like search crawler). In simple pages it's not difficult, just opening the webpage and copying content to array. something like this

So I figured out how to re-write a new reference movie. What though is the description of the various data rate options?
I'm using the tool "XML to RefMovie' as MakeRefMovie is not available for Windows.
The syntax is:

IPad won't copy text from web page and paste in email

I'm trying to copy text from a web page, and when I paste it in Note or in a new email, it copied the web page link, not the text. Doing this in iPad. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

I think it depends on what you are trying to copy.
To copy, put your finger on the text and hold until the copy thing shows up. Adjust the size to whatnyou want, then touch copy.( I know, you already knew that). To paste, touch the screen where you want it to go until the paste thing shows up.
I just did it
glass, metal and minimalist design. Two. ( pasted from a web page)
Some pages are set up so that you cannot copy words or images.
So try a different page to see if you are doing it right.
If you want, post the link to the page and we call all try it as well.

How do I save a copy of my web page so I can show it to my boss for corrections

I have CS3, I have done the updates to our web site now I need to email it to my boss for his corrections and I would like it to look just like it does on the web page.

I'm assume the old pages are uploaded on the web and the new updated pages are in your local site root folder on your computer?
If that is the case create a new folder in your local site root folder.
Window>Files
In the files widow click on the tiny small arrow up in the top right corner select file>new folder.
You can use the shortcut on Mac by control clicking in the window itself, not sure of the short cut on a PC, probably command click. Might actually be the same as the Mac.
That creates a new folder in your site folder. Name it 'updates'
Next select the page that you have updated and duplicate it by selecting the tiny arrow at the top right of the files window. Choose Edit>Duplicate
Now drag the duplicate file to the newly created folder whilst in the files window. You'll get a promt to update all the links.
Once this has been done it is probably best to rename the duplicated files to get rid of (Copy of aboutUs.html). Rename it something like aboutUs_updated.html and then upload the new folder to your webserver.
Provide links to the new updated pages in an email to your boss.
www.whatever.com/updates/aboutUs_updated.html
IMPORTANT: Make sure you move/drag files within the file window otherwise all the links will be lost.
Once your boss has made the amends you can correct the original aboutUs.html file.

Can I Stop my Images from being Copied from my Web Pages

On some websites I visit, it prevents you from right clicking on the image and saving it. A message pops up saying the image cannot be copied.
Would any of you kind folk know of a way I can stop my images from being saved from my Dreamweaver web pages?

I asked a question. Hans was kind enough to give me a solution, and for that I thank him! I have also learned a little more in the process!
We have already established that the solution stops people right clicking on an image and saving the image (be it in Windows Explorer or not), but it has also been established that it is by no means a fool proof way of protecting images and that there are other ways of copying images from a webpage. However, it is another level of protection.
Unfortunately, I do not want to watermark my images as I do not like looking as watermarked images myself. I also downsize my images for the web. I was just looking for another level of protection.

Problems copying and renaming web pages

hello chaps,
having some difficulties in using the rename function when applying to to existing web pages.
basically I want to make a copy of a page and then rename it. In the Project tree, I copy, then right click the web pages node and paste. A new file appears with an autogenerated name.
I then attempt to rename the copy and JSC comes up with the refactoring dialog, which I then apply. However, on the two occassions I have tried this, the references in the JSP file to the new name weren't updated, and the file itself wasn't renamed, I have then had to manually apply edits and change file names which didn't actually work properly anyway (the resulting page had duplicate components)
I also noted that while there was a new entry in managed-beans.xml for the newly named file, the initial copy still had an entry (which I removed)
I am using XP for development/ MySQL, logged on as a user with administrator rights.
I haven't tested this very rigorously, only tried it twice. Both pages contained page fragments.

If you uncheck an option "Preview All Changes" in the 'rename' window and click Next will apply refactoring automatically .

Cannot paste from "print screen" into document CS4

I have Photoshop CS4 and Windows 7 and cannot get a print screen copy to paste into a document. I have always been able to do this in the past, this is the first I have tried with CS4 and windows 7. It will paste into an email so I know the print screen button is functioning.
Does anyone how to resolve this. Thank you.

As per John's comment, I occasionally have this behavior on my laptop with XP-Pro and CS2. All will work fine for a dozen screen-caps, and then it ceases working. So far, I've never encountered this on my workstation. In general terms (things that might matter here), the only difference between the machines is that I have the 3 GB Switch on the workstation, but not on the laptop.
For me, Purging everything has no effect. Closing and re-launching PS clears it up though. I have had it re-occur in the second session, but not usually.
Both machines are very clean, regarding which programs and Processes are loaded at boot and running. What is left should not be sapping resources, but who knows? When this manifests itself, I often have PS and either PrPro, or PrElements, running, as those are often my sources for the screen-caps. In my case, maybe one, or the other, has some sort of memory leak. While editing, I have not observed such, and Task Manager does not show anything near extreme resource usage. Also, when I "cure" the issue by re-launching PS, I do not shut down the NLE programs.
Just some observations,

Cannot paste artwork from clipboard into itunes

I can no longer post artwork from the clipboard to my ipod classic after I installed ituens 10.4.80 -1. Any suggestions? It was the update before 80. I installed 80 hoping it would fix. When I try to paste it is just black.

I have already tried drop-n-drag with no success. Saving artwork works fine however it is time consuming. I had a problem with the artwork file and have to redo all that cannot be found online - I have many. Hopefully Apple will fix in a later release.

Cannot paste small Excel table into pdf

I have been pasting a small Excel table (seven rows x five columns) onto pdfs in both Acrobat 9 and X Pro. Today, the paste won't execute. It's actually a small graphic in Excel with text boxes that allow revision. It's always worked until today. Some 2013 upgrade occurred at the office today. No one here has a clue re why the paste won't execute. I've tried copying the same graphic from PowerPoint into the pdf; no dice.
I've never set up the graphic as a stamp; it's a trial exhibit label that has to be a certain color and have revisable text fields.
I've checked the security of the pdfs I've created today; those settings are wide open and no different from the security settings for the pdfs in which the paste would execute.
Open to all suggestions.

Can add-ons ever access passwords I enter on a web page?

Another top browser (sorry!) displays privileges used by add-ons, such as "Access your data on all websites." The accepted thinking seems to be that if the privilege is reasonable for the add-on to do it's work AND the developer seems like a trusted source, then it's okay to use the add-on. Unless I'm off base in my understanding, that sounds like passwords I enter on a website can potentially be captured by the developer. I have read the Firefox policy about editorial software review, but I am still uneasy. Can you provide additional information or assurance in this regard?

If you install add-ons from https://addons.mozilla.org/ then you will see whether they have been reviewed (most are) and warned if not. You can read the review policies at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/developers/docs/policies/reviews The add-on reviewers take security seriously and wouldn't allow an add-on to access passwords used on a website unless it was explicitly stated as the purpose of the extension. All updates from extensions installed via addons.mozilla.org are also reviewed. Let me know if you still have more questions.

I don't know what you are asking, but judging by the page that you posted from then I assume that you are having problems with an iTunes gift card. If you are then was the card issued in the same country as your account is based ? They are only valid in their country of issue. When I copy from a web page the paste includes information I did not copy.

I'm told this is a product from tynt.com and I have tried every way I can think of to block it... to no avail. No-ad, noscript and zone-alarm.
When I use IE to do the same thing it does not happen, but I have not used IE for many years and don't want to start now...
