Copy/Paste is changing all stiles to one

If I copy/paste in a Pages dokument, all stiles (font, hight, color etc) are changed in the copy to just one. This is only on one Mac, on the other one it works fine. I trashed the prefs, but this didn't help. Any idea?

you're a genius! First I thought 'no, no such utility' but took a closer look > I *do* have one, namely CopyLess, it has a button 'Plain Text' that was checked .... I use this utility very seldom, so I wasn't aware. Unchecked 'Plain Text' and everything is fine!

Copy / paste operations crash all SGD windows

Hi
From time to time, users have problems during copy/paste operations between SGD windows.
When users use this function between (for ex.) gterm and x-emacs v2.22 windows, all SGD windows crash.
The support asked them to migrate to the new SGD version (at this time 4.41) but this problem still appears.
We configured the coreadm with all options enable but it seems we don't have any generated core files.
Does anyone already got this problem ?

I'm having the same problem. I don't use ZoneAlarm or Avira.
I just use the built-in Windows Defender in Windows 8.
My problem started in v22 and I still have it in v23.
I've tried all the suggestions posted at various websites, but I still can't copy and paste in Firefox.
Any ideas?

Changing all occurrences of one face?

I have a couple of women who appear multiple times in my iPhoto library who's names have changed due to marriage and/or divorce, so the same person's face is listed under two different names. Is there a way to change all occurences of a particular face to the same name, short of going through and changing each face one at a time?

How to change all datasources from one database to another

I have many datasources defined in weblogic connect to one database, login as different users to different sachems.
Is there any easy way to switch all of them to another database? changing each of them through console seems not so easy.

you can use WLST - use the console to record the step for 1 datasource, and use the generated python file as a reference

Copy the link to the video on Photobucket... you can't just copy a video from one site to other unless you have administrative rights to the location you want to post the video.

Can i change the font of all subtitles in one act?

I want to change to font of all my subtitles in my final cut pro X movie project. And i don't have time to change every single line one by one.. so is there a possibility to change all subtitels in one?

Yes. Select all the subtitles in the timeline. Go to the inspector and chage the font. It will be changed for all of them.

i was asking because FAT3 has a limitation in that it will not allow you to copy files larger than 4 GB.

Copy Paste On Tabular Form

I have a great need to produce an APEX (version 2.2.1) tabular form in
which users would be able to do Excel-like copy/paste of tabular form
fields from one part of the form to another.
For example, a user would want to somehow (ideally highlight with the mouse - not sure if this is possible) select the first 2 rows of the form and then
copy/paste these to, say, rows 7 and 8, overwriting any values in
those form fields. Or, select field 2 (this would be on row 2) under column A and then copy/paste this field to, say, fields 3 through 10 under the same column A.
I am currently trying to do this using javascript, but am not sure how to go
about it and would appreciate any help or advice.

Thank you very much for creating your sample page. I liked the way you're
duplicating entire rows in the form.
I'm sorry for not responding sooner. I have been under the gun, sort-to-speak
at my work place. I've been playing with another tool (explained below) to see
if it could help me out with my application.
The issue before me is that users need the flexibility of an Excel like interface
in which they are able to do any sort of copy/paste/fill operations as desired
prior to submitting their changes to Oracle. This kind of functionality is what
I've been trying to, if not duplicate, at least get part way there in Apex. And
this is what spurred me on to post my question to you and to this Forum.
I went ahead and dabbled my way through all sorts of javascript (learned an awful lot, I might add) and have come up with a sample tabular form in which I'm able
to copy a single form field to any selected row / column combination in the form.
I've copied my app ( App 19379, Page 12 ) up to the Apex forum.

Originally, this app brought up a second page (Paste Page) as a popup in which
users could select which columns and rows they wanted to copy a form field to.
They would then click a "Go" button on this Paste popup page. This "Go" button
would then run a javascript function "do_paste()" in the calling page. This function
would copy the form field to the designated columns and rows. This worked fine.
However, I wanted a solution in which everything is entirely on a single page
rather than having a popup page appear.
And so, I modified my page 12 so that the user could designate the target
columns and rows entirely on the same page (page 12), and so, eliminate
the popup page.
This works to a point.
The user first clicks "Copy". This displays (via a javascript function) the
contents of the selected form field in a text box. This also displays the
target fields "From Column", "To Column", "From Row", "To Row".
The Copy button is replaced with a "Go" button. The user then designates
target columns and rows and clicks "Go". This causes the selected form
field to be copied to the designated targets.
Unfortunately, clicking the "Go" button also causes the page to be submitted.
This submit operation causes the form to be refreshed which then completely
erases the copy action and the form ends up with the original data. The user
does not see that anything has happened. However, under the wraps, my
javascript do_paste() function was invoked but then it's result was reversed
by the submit action.
I do not know how to get around this submit action (which refreshes the form,
thereby reversing my do_paste() function). I could, of course, bring back the
popup page. The paste does work with that. I was just hoping I could do the
copy/paste all on one page.
In any case, this represents my current state with respect to an Apex solution
to my need.
I did in the meantime find another interesting solution to my problem.
Years ago in another job I had worked with a tool called Oraxcel (now
called SQLXL - www.oraxcel.com). This tool is an add-in into Excel and provides an API between Excel and Oracle (as well as various other dbms systems: mysql, sql server, db2, etc.).
Well, I downloaded a free trial copy and have been playing with it.
In a nutshell, I can now allow users to continue using Excel to do
copy/paste/fill operations and provide [ via VBA buttons and macros
that interface with Oracle - actually it is using Oracle's product "Oracle
Objects For OLE (OO4O) ] them the ability to upload the excel data (new and
modified and deleted rows) to Oracle tables, download from Oracle tables (from a package/ref cursor or a table), create Excel LOVs that are dynamically populated from Oracle, and provide validations run from a package and display error
messages to the Excel page.
In effect, Excel becomes the "front end" to my Oracle schema.
As it turns out, in my particular application, Apex pages still play a critical role
as users need to interface with these as well. However, the SQLXL product
appears to be a neat solution allowing users Excel like flexibility to copy,
paste, fill, and other operations that Excel does so well while still interfacing
with Oracle.
Am still playing with this tool and built a small "proof of concept".
In any case, thank you again so much for your help and your sample page.
I would like to incorporate the neat way you're duplicating rows in the form
as I believe this will come in handy in naother APEX app I'm currently
working on in another project at my work place.

Copy-paste not proper

When I copy paste objects as a block (not one by one) in UI it paste all objects into the left top corner as a pile and lose the location data of the original objects. Is it normal or, do I mis anything.

That's probably the designed-in behavior. Unfortunately, it's like that also in Visual Basic. Select a bunch of controls on a form, switch to a new form, paste them, and the whole group of them are pasted so that the upper-leftmost one of them is in the upper left corner. Maybe that's the agreed upon style of doing things -- I don't know. I agree it would be nice if it would paste them in the same relative position on the form, if possible.

Copy/Paste Keywords

Hello,
I´m migrating from Imatch to Lightroom.
In Imatch, I tagged all images with categories, but this was done on copies of the original files.
I have imported these copies into LR and the categories/keywords are OK.
But, in LR I would like to have the original files in my catalog, not the copies.
Is there any other way to copy/paste keywords between two files, than one by one?
The originals and copies have same filename, except that the copies have "-OK" in the end.

Copy-pasting clips versus export to full DV

Folks,
With the export to full quality DV option, all the selected clips are combined to form a single clip. Is there any kind of compression done when this option is selected?
One obvious advantage of the export option (versus copy-paste) is that all edits (audio and video) are retained

There's no compression. The Full Quality export is the same format as the project video itself.

With exporting, edits are "frozen" in place, so yes I suppose one could say they are retained.
But Copy/Paste retains the clips as clips AND the clips can be restored to their original condition. All the non-destructive features of the Copied clips are retained when Pasted into another project.

I have two iChat accounts (1 AIM and 1 .mac). I've got over 50 buddies on my AIM account and want to have them in my .mac account. Is there a way to Copy/Paste them or import them from one account to another?

Make sure they have Real Names and therefore Address Book Entires
They can be dragged from there
Once one Buddy List has all names/buddies then using AIM for Mac and it's export feature can export the whole list which can be Imported to another screen name (Still in AIM fo Mac)
This method overwrites the whole Buddy list so can not be used to copy Partial Lists.

Copy & Paste Functioning Incorrectly

All of sudden, the copy & paste functionality within Dreamweaver has gone crazy. Each time I try to highlight some lines of code to copy to my windows clipboard, the entire file gets selected. Or if I am finally able to get to a couple lines of code selected, once I hit Ctrl + C the entire document gets highlighted and copied to the clipboard.
How do I fix this issue and revert back to normal copy & paste behavior?
All other windows apps work fine. This is only happening in dreamweaver.

Well the only way I have figured to overcome this is to do a "find" on any string immediately after downloading the document. For what ever reason that action relieves my mouse-drag and my directional keys from doing weird things. DW is a really nice tool

Very Strange- Mail changes all dates after two days

I have a very strange behavior:
Apple Mail changes the date-information of incoming and outgoing mails after about two days -
for the first two days it says "today" or "yesterday" after that it changes all dates to one single date (december 12.2009 and some to december 12.2010).
I just put in a new pram battery, so this cannot be the problem.
what the heck is this?

Hi Noe, do you have anything in Rules that is set to happen after 2 days?
Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup), it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move these folder & file to the Desktop.
Move this Folder to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
Move this file to the Desktop...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
Reboot.
If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup
