Cost center template change

Hello SAP gurus I need your help.
My client has a requirement.  Budget plan for cost centers in our company right now is month to month and now client says that they should have plan for the year, how can I create that templete for year so that it should have all the 12 periods in the plan. and what is the configuration. help should be appreciated.

Thanks for the reply, I was wondering that if you could help me out, I have the existing planner profile in my system which is for month to month buget for cost center. If go to Kp65 copy the old planner which is for month to month. How can I add 1-12 that is 12 colums  months to the same planner in report painter so that if we are using excel file to upload for the year ir can work.

  • Cost center validity change and assign it to new company code

    We are having 10 Cost centers  in 1000 Company code, And validity of these cost centers is .01.01.2001 to 31.12.9999.
    Now business want to create one more company code 2000. and wants to extend these same cost centers to 2000 company code also. But as per SAP std Cost center extention is not possible , bcz cost center can use by only one company code.
    Now Company is saying that..they wants the same number for new company code from 23.09.2010 to 31.12.9999..
    system is not allow me to change validity period of these cost centers, bcz  these saying that the cost center is already defined for given period.
    Beacuse new company code will start working from 24.09.2010. so i,e the reason , we want to make example "2561 cost center  validity 01.01.2001 to 22.09.2010 for company code 1000. then after words 23.09.2010 to 31.12.9999 the same cost center 2561 will for 2000 company code.
    but system is not allowing me to change the validity

    Hi Mangesh
    What you wish is not possible.. You will have to create new cost center and assign to the new company code...
    may be for simplicity sake, you can add a prefix or suffix to the existing cost center no i.e Cost Ctr 2356 can become N2356 in new comp code

    Hi Puri,
    You do one thing
    Set the Validity period for the cost center
    Path:
    SPRO->Controlling->Cost Center Accounting->Master Data->Cost Centers->Define Standard Hierarchy.
    There you select the cost center and click the Validity period button and close the further postings.
    Whenever you want you can open the date and post.

    Hi manu,
    1) Goto transaction BD61 check if the checkbox is checked
    2) Goto SM30 table V_TBDA2 click maintain enter message type and check the checkbox
    3) Goto transaction BD52 enter Cost center message type
    (COSTCENTER_CHANGEMULTIPLE/COSTCENTER_CREATEMULTIPLE/ any custom one) which you are using  and create an entry object CMDT_CC table CMDTCC_ALL field * (all fields/ list of fields you want) .
    Change pointers are created you can use this for distribution of IDocs

    The requirement is to change the profit center group and cost center group from one node to another. Please remember it is trying to simulate the transactions KCH5 and OKEO programatically.
    I would like to know if somebody had this requirement previously and had made use of some function module or some other technique which will help in changing the standard hierarchy nodes.

  • Can the profit center on a cost center be changed?

    Hello experts,
    We have been using cost centers and profit centers for a few years now. Now the client has decided to change the coding structure for profit centers. My question, is can profit centers (mapped to cost centers) be changed at this point? Obviously, we have postings on the cost / profit centers. Has anyone encountered such a situation? How risky is this move?

    Hi, yes you can. While changing master data for CC error will  appear, look at it code(I'm not with the system now, as for me it's KI600), the go to OBA5, enter system class(KI) enter it's number and maintain it as Warning.
    Also,as for me,it's possible to create new period 'of life' for CC with new PC

  • Field Business Area in cost center cannot be changed

    Hello all,
    we would like to change the "Business Area FS" (OB65) field for our
    company code to required. But if we do that, we have issues with 2 of
    our cost centers (ks02, analysis period 01/01/10-12/31/10) that won't
    allow us to enter a business area.
    We get the following error message:
    NA KS134 Field change Business Area is not possible.
    Diagnosis: To ensure of existing data, you can only change object
    Business Area if no transaction data exists in the change period; that
    is, neither plan data nor actual data has been posted.
    I have checked with our accounting and the cost center report does not
    have any data in actual nor budget.
    Somehow I figured out that we do have an entry in table CEKO for this
    cost center for 2010. (se16n). I did some further research and tried to
    test report RKPLNC18 to delete this entry. But I get the message:
    the deletion could not be carried out. The following plan/actual
    records are available...
    Any suggestions?

    Hi
    You can change the business area in cost center by changing the Analysis period. If there's any data exsist it is not allow you to change the business area. If else block or eleate the cost center and create a new one ( even though this might not permitted if  data exsist in related to cost center.

  • Changes to Profit center assigned to cost center

    We have a scnario in which the profit center assigned to the cost center master has to be changed. We have been advised also to  change the validity period of the same from the date of change of the profit center .However, the cost center has been used to for some data postings with the old profit center maintained in the cost center master. Now my query is:
    1. What is the impact of changing the profit center in cost center master? In our case, some data has been posted to the cost center when the old profit center was maintained.
    2. Why should we change the validity period of the cost center after changing the profit center assigned to the cost center?
    3. Also, what is the way to transfer the entries which have been posted to the old profit center to the new profit center?

    hi,
    1) The impact of profit center is more in the cost center. when ever we assign profit center to cost center. the cost will be updated automatically. so there is no direct posting in profit center only statstical posting are generated.
    2) second one when we want to create profit center first chek it out profit center valid and upto. if same is not maintained in creation of cost center . so u must have to change the validity periods
    3) i am not sure this one i thing 7KEH OR 1KEF TC is there any way tommorow i will give the answer this questions.

    Hi,
    U can either reverse the doc which u have posted wrongly. or if u want u can manually repost the cost in controlling to the correct cost center but by this the change will be reflected only in controlling and not in FI.

    We can assing the CC in two ways.
    1. is for position.
    2. or for a Org unit.
    In your case if it is for Position. GOTO PP02 enter the details as
    Plan Version    HI
    Object Type     s
    Object ID       50018133
    Object abbr.
    Infotype        1001
    Subtype         A011
    Planning status 1
    Validity        06/23/2008  to     12/31/9999
    Data sample.
    Then goto change and change the CC. this will also updates the IT0001.
    If not, You can also change through Org unit.
    Where goto PPos_old> select the org unit> then goto staff assignments> select the required position> and there is a option called goto from top menu> there you can check accoutn assignment>  there you will get diff screen to be displayed--> there select the position if you want to change and select the option maste cost center and change the CC by giving dates, this will also updates the IT0001.

    Hi,
    When you post next time provide the new cost center with this Internal order. I hope the cost center will change automatically.
    If you get any error find the message type through "change message control" option in SPRO you can change from 'ERROR" message to "WARNING".

  • Is it possible to change Company Code in Cost center, once postings done?

    Hello Friends - We have Cost center created in CoCd 0001 and made the postings and this year beginning CoCd in Cost center was changed from CoCd 0001 to 0002 for some business reasons. Now, User says that he needs to post one journal to this Cost center in CoCd 0001. As this Cost center is in another CoCd, It cannot be used in CoCd 0001.
    Please suggest me that if it is possible to change and the process to change the CoCd in 0001. Once journal is posted, we will put it back 0002.

    Please refer to the following note Note  62716.  These three prerequisites must be met:
    1.  The change interval is set to period limits
    2.  There is no dependent actual transaction data in the change interval or afterwards.
    3.  There must already be an analysis period for the respective cost center which starts on the first day of the chosen period. If this is not the case, you can create one with 'Change cost center' - KS02
    (for example, by changing the cost center manager).
    You may use transaction code rkacshow to check the transactional data that exists on the affected cost center, in order to change the company code, all these data should not exist for the time
    interval.

  • Profit Center value for Creation of Cost Center in MDG F

    I am using MDG-F 6.1. I want to create cost center using change request type OG_W003 ( Cost Center single processing) without uploading intial data from ECC check table ( CEPC- Procit Center Master Data ).
    Is this possible as there is warning message while creation of CC?
    As there is warning message befor submitting of CR as 
    'Field "Profit Center": Field should be filled because Profit Center Accounting is active'
    If we go ahead for with final processing then again one warning message
    'The status of change request 86 does not allow for object changes'
    After Approval active CC stores in MDG database table and not replicated to ECC even assigned Edition with flag'Immediate replicate' .
    Also one more question How referance data ( Like Controlling Area/Company Codes) are retrived in MDG F in case of add on deployement?
    Does intial upload is requird for this as well?
    In ECC it is possible to create CC without PC.

    For Interface and for ALE setup Global company code is must. You are dealing with cross-company transfers since you are using MDG and ECC. In the ALE distribution layer, it is required to set up the global company code for the program to understand for which company code the master data is created. This setting will not affect any process. Tcode- ob72 and obb5.

  • Default cost center not appearing for certain users

    Hi Gurus,
    We are on SRM 4.0 classic scenario.
    For certain users when they create SC in SRM the default cost center is not automatically taken into account even if they change it to it. The default cost center was changed for these users and some of them still refer to the old cost center no. which was maintained for them.
    The users are not defective and the except the cost center all other attributes work fine. I have tested by deleting & recreating new BP no. for the users but it still doesnt help. Please advise.

  • Cost center assignment of GRIR clearing account

    Hello Expert,
    There is a purchase order assigned to an asset.  the cost center K8071 is maintained in the asset. Later, the cost center is changed to K8410. Normally this cost center will always be determined from the asset. But in goods receipt (MIGO) and invoice verification (MIRO) , the wrong cost center K8071 is derived for GRIR clearing account. Can i get any help from you how to solve this issue? Thanks a lot!

    the cost center is really assigned to GRIR clearing item. It is standard system design.  if checking GRIR line item, the cost center is filled for invoice verification of asset PO.  Seems the function of derivation exists bug.  Can any one know how to  fix such error before? Thanks!
